There’s nothing more bleak than trying to make your way home after an ill-advised hookup, while trying to pretend that last night’s clothes are in fact a carefully put together daytime outfit. Doesn’t everyone wear stilettos at 1pm on a Sunday?

Anyone who’s ever suffered the stress of a walk of shame will know that there are many distinct types… but they are all pretty, well, shameful!

Here’s our definitive list!

1. The “can I borrow this?” walk
Sometimes the lesser of two evils is to forget about the tiny dress and killer heels and to instead grab something off your new man’s floor to wear for the trek home. Sadly though, this usually results in you sitting on the Luas wearing a pair of surf shorts and a giant hoodie, teamed with some flip-flops about four sizes too large. Work it, girl!

2. The “fancy dress” walk
If you’re no longer in college, this might be limited just to Hallowe’en, but if you’re still a student there’s a risk of this happening any number of times. Your Playboy bunny costume might seem hilarious and sexy the night before but it doesn’t look quite so alluring when you have to put it back on the next morning (without the ears, we hope). The rule? ALWAYS bring a coat… it covers any number of sins!

3. The “witching hour” walk
A walk of shame doesn’t necessarily have to be in broad daylight. Maybe you decided last-minute not to stay over, or maybe you just have no interest in a tiny single bed with questionable-smelling sheets. Either way, you’re stuck trying to hail a taxi at 3am, hoping nobody wakes up when you get home. Maybe in the morning it’ll all feel like a bad dream!

4. The “please God let him not wake up” walk
Guys get a bad rap about being commitment-phobes but us girls can be just as bad. In certain cases it’s easier just to slip away unnoticed and hope you two never cross paths again. This walk of shame takes James Bond-style skill. Creaking floorboards, squeaky hinges and slamming doors are your worst enemies and must be avoided at all costs. Fingers crossed you can find all your clothes, not to mention your keys, phone and taxi money. Now… go go go!

5. The “meet the parents” walk
He lives at home? Oh, GREAT. What better way to meet your future-in-laws than while sheepishly exiting their home with smudged mascara and unbrushed hair? Hopefully you’re up to making charming conversation at that time of the morning – it’s your only saving grace!

6. The “just a casual afternoon stroll” walk
Perhaps if you make your trek home late enough, it will seem like you’re not actually doing a walk of shame, but instead just taking a lovely late afternoon jaunt around town. In heels. And a tiara. Oh well, worth a try…

7. The “where on earth am I?” walk
So you’ve managed to end up with the one guy who lives miles away from any public transport routes. As for getting a taxi, well, John from down the road is the town taxi driver and it’s his day off. Convenient! The only option is to beg for a lift, either from your new guy or from a very kind pal who doesn’t mind driving to the middle of nowhere to pick you up. That’s what friends are for!

8. The “too close for comfort” walk
You’ve managed to end up with the guy who lives in the dorm down the hall – well done! This is a positive development in that you are literally seconds from your own room, but sadly it also means you’ll probably bump into him again… Not just today, but every day. Awkward.

9. The “thank god it’s not me” walk
For once, you’re not the one doing the walking! The two of you stayed in yours last night, which means you get to enjoy sweet sweet sleep while he makes his way home in the blinding sunlight. Happy days!

10. The “I don’t give a damn” walk
Sometimes there’s just no room for shame! You had an amazing night with a guy you’ve had your eye on for ages, he was super sound and you’d gladly shout it from the rooftops that you stayed over at his. Hold your head high, get some Beyoncé tunes on the iPod and strut your way home!

We’re all used to seeing photos, videos and not to mention gifs of models in ridiculously high shoes trying to make it down the runway only to fall.

At some stage, it happens to every model – even the great Naomi Campbell was once taken down by a gigantic pair of shoes.

How ridiculous are they?!

And now, it seems Kendall has had her very own model initiation to the runway as she *almost* took a tumble during the Givenchy show.

Thankfully, she ever so gracefully saved herself (and many models from falling on top of her).

It's barely even noticeable – but we're sure her heart was going ninety after!

Nicely done, Kendall – you’re a natural!

Even since it emerged that Robert Pattinson was seeing Tahliah Debrett Barnett, better known by her stage name FKA Twigs, she has been the target of horrible racial abuse from upset R-Patz fans.

She took to Twitter yesterday to say how shocked she was at her treatment.

"I am genuinely shocked and disgusted at the amount of racism that has been infecting my account the past week.

"Racism is unacceptable in the real world and it's unacceptable online."

Twigs has spoken previously in interviews about dealing with racism growing up.

“People said horrible things about something I had no control of, which was tough. But that’s okay. Life isn’t supposed to be easy, is it? I never really saw anything wrong with how I looked, it was more that certain people pointed things out to you about yourself.”

“Either your hair’s different, or the colour of your skin, or your features. Half of my life I’ve had people staring at me because they think I’m funny-looking and ugly.”

"The other half of my life I’ve had people staring at me because they think I’m fascinating,’ she said. ‘Everything neutralises. It’s more of a statement on society and how weird it is."

Gone Girl

Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, you’ll know that the hotly anticipated Gone Girl comes out this week. Life After Beth

Expect blood, guts and a few laughs in this dark comedy. Dane de Haan plays Zach, who’s devastated by the death of his girlfriend… until he finds out she’s come back to life. There’s a catch of course – she’s now a flesh-eating zombie. Parks and Recreation star Aubrey Plaza stars as Beth, the blood-thirsty sweetheart in question. A good date movie, if you’re not too squeamish!

Dracula Untold

Filmed in Northern Ireland, this fantasy horror explains the origins of Count Dracula. Think of it as a (sort of) prequel to the 2000 film Dracula, based on Bram Stoker’s 1897 novel. Luke Evans plays Transylvanian prince Vlad Tepes, who is granted mythical powers in order to save his kingdom. However in order to keep the new powers, he must also accept his fate as a vampire with a thirst for human blood. Dominic Cooper and Sarah Gadon also star in this dramatic retelling of a famous tale.

Draft Day

Kevin Costner and Jennifer Garner star in this sports drama about one of the biggest days in the American football year – draft day. Not only has Cleveland team manager Sonny Weaver (Costner) just found out that his secret girlfriend Ali (Garner) is pregnant, but he also has to choose between two big-name players for next season’s team. A fast paced-film with lots of big twists and turns!

In a totally uncharacteristic move, X Factor boss SImon Cowell has admitted he was wrong about something!

The judge revealed on Twitter last night that he regretted his decision to axe Irish singer Janet Grogan from the show.

26-year-old Janet was replaced by Helen Fulthorpe on last night's Boot Camp episode. Shortly after, Simon took to Twitter to say this to his followers:

Janet was kicked off the show at the last minute after Simon chose fellow contestant Lizzy Pattinson (sister of Robert Pattinson) instead. Lizzy had initially been the one asked to leave but after heckling from the audience, Simon made the snap decision to send Janet home.

The Irish singer wowed judges and the audience with her audition performance of U2's I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, shown on the previous weekend's episode.

Fellow Dubliner Orla Keogh suffered a similar fate last Friday night, when she was sent home in a last-minute swap by judge Cheryl Fernandez-Versini. What ever happened to the "luck of the Irish"?!

Despite being kicked off, we doubt Janet will be too upset. In a recent interview she said that the main reason she chose to audition for the show was to gain some exposure, and that she didn't even expect to make it to the live auditions.

"My goal has always been to get exposure. When I started out, I just wanted to get a room audition – everything after that is a bonus," she said. "I want to be an artist, I want to tour and sing and I think people have now got a glimpse of what I can do."

We wish her all the best!

We would hate to get on the wrong side of Lady Gaga! The singer is reportedly fighting for a $1.4 million payback after she was wrongly accused of plagiarism.

Back in 2011, Gaga was sued by singer Rebecca Francescatti, who claimed the hit single Judas was a rip-off. Rebecca said her 1999 song, Juda, had been stolen by Gaga.

Earlier this year, the case was dismissed, with the judge concluding the two songs sounded nothing alike. He added that the similar titles were "not sufficient to give rise to a finding that the Gaga song has captured the total concept and feel of the Francescatti song.

Now though, Gaga wants Rebecca to foot her lawyer's bill, saying she spent three years and a large chunk of money battling the plagiarism charge.

This isn't the first time the Born This Way singer has faced accusations of copying other peoples' music. Just last month, a leaked song from Madonna's upcoming album branded Gaga a "copycat."

In the song Two Steps Behind Me, Madonna sings, “You're a copycat, Where is my royalty? You're a pretty girl, I'll give you that. But stealing my recipe, it's an ugly look." Awkward!

Despite the controversy, the singer remains as successful as ever. She is currently on the European leg of her artRave tour, and plays Dublin on next month.

Ariana Grande and Big Sean have kept very quiet about their relationship so far, with rumours swirling around for weeks about whether the two were even together.

In recent weeks they've appeared in public more and more though, and now it seems Big Sean is ready to open up about his true feelings. In an interview with Ryan Seacrest, the rapper sounded totally smitten. "That Ariana is very, very special. She's very special to me," he said. Aaaw!

He mentioned that he likes to keep his personal life private, but did hint that the two have a great bond. "Everything she has going on is good with her, everything I have going on is good with me, everything between me and her is good, and I'm just going to leave it at that," he explained.

The singer has spoken before about the great spark between him and his new lady when they're onstage. "The chemistry between me and her when we work is great… We've been friends for years before anything else," he said in an interview earlier this month.

We're glad to hear that the couple have found happiness again – Big Sean must still be reeling from his break-up with ex-fiancée Naya Rivera back in April.

In July, Naya wed actor Ryan Dorsey, on the same date that her and Big Sean had planned to marry. Ouch.

Despite the awkward split, Big Sean says his angry break-up song I Don't F**k WIth You actually ISN'T about Naya… in fact he wrote it when the couple were still together. "It's funny how records, sometimes they relate to you more later on, sometimes they don't," he said in his interview with Ryan. "Obviously it kind of fits my situation."

Hmmm… not sure if we're buying that explanation!

Amal Alamuddin and her new husband, George Clooney, have made their first appearance as a married couple today.

The highly acclaimed lawyer looked absolutely incredible in a Giambattista Valli dress which we have completely fallen head over heels for while her new husband looked dapper in a grey suit.

The couple are no doubt still on a high after their wedding in Venice yesterday – but it sounds as if none of George’s Hollywood pals made it!

Ben Affleck sent his regards to George, saying that unlike everyone else who seemed to be at the wedding in Venice, he had to work. Meanwhile, there was no sign of George’s longtime friend, Brad Pitt and his new wife, Angelina Jolie.

Matt Damon made it to the wedding, as did other famous faces such as Anna Wintour and Cindy Crawford.

We’re sure the couple are jetting off to somewhere equally as stunning for their honeymoon!

We still can’t stop thinking about that dress – it will be in our dreams tonight.

Lauren shared a photo of herself with a huge pizza and a glass of red wine, captioning the photo: “post-wedding diet.”

Not. Jealous. At. All. Okay, maybe a little.

Seems like the perfect diet to us, Lauren!

It looks as if she and her new husband are having an amazing honeymoon – wonder if they’ll stop off at George Clooney’s Venetian wedding?

It sounds as if there are babies on the horizon for Professor Green and his wife Millie Mackintosh!

It wasn’t too long ago that Millie Mackintosh said that babies were not something she and husband of one year, Professor Green, had started to think about yet, saying: “I’m just so busy at the moment and the house is like our baby, our project. I have so many things going on at the moment work-wise.

However, the rapper must have other things on his mind as he reveals they plan to start a family soon: “Soon we’re going to start our family. Well, not quite yet, but it won’t be too far off hopefully.”

Now that the couple’s dream home is very nearly finished it seems they have started to think about the next step – what an exciting time!

Millie has been hard at work making decisions about their new home, from floors and colours to everything in between – we bet it's going to be beautiful!
