Gone Girl

Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, you’ll know that the hotly anticipated Gone Girl comes out this week. Rosamund Pike plays small-town girl Amy Dunne, who disappears on the day of her wedding anniversary. The chief suspect? Her stunned husband, Nick (Ben Affleck). The trailers have all looked dark, intense and totally engaging. We can’t wait for this film!

Life After Beth

Expect blood, guts and a few laughs in this dark comedy. Dane de Haan plays Zach, who’s devastated by the death of his girlfriend… until he finds out she’s come back to life. There’s a catch of course – she’s now a flesh-eating zombie. Parks and Recreation star Aubrey Plaza stars as Beth, the blood-thirsty sweetheart in question. A good date movie, if you’re not too squeamish!

Dracula Untold

Filmed in Northern Ireland, this fantasy horror explains the origins of Count Dracula. Think of it as a (sort of) prequel to the 2000 film Dracula, based on Bram Stoker’s 1897 novel. Luke Evans plays Transylvanian prince Vlad Tepes, who is granted mythical powers in order to save his kingdom. However in order to keep the new powers, he must also accept his fate as a vampire with a thirst for human blood. Dominic Cooper and Sarah Gadon also star in this dramatic retelling of a famous tale.

Draft Day

Kevin Costner and Jennifer Garner star in this sports drama about one of the biggest days in the American football year – draft day. Not only has Cleveland team manager Sonny Weaver (Costner) just found out that his secret girlfriend Ali (Garner) is pregnant, but he also has to choose between two big-name players for next season’s team. A fast paced-film with lots of big twists and turns!
