Lifestyle mogul Martha Stewart recently suggested that Gwyneth Paltrow should “just be quiet”. Well, it seems that Martha might be kept waiting.

Hosting a star-studded fundraiser for the Democratic National Committee, the normally composed Gwyneth veered perilously close to fan-girling all over herself when introducing US President Barack Obama to the stage. She gushed: “I am one of your biggest fans, if not the biggest!” The decision to host the fundraiser in the Oscar winner's own home is starting to make sense. Who wouldn't want their hero chillin' on their sofa?

After encouraging mid-term election votes, Gwyneth launched into yet another gushing spiel that would make even the most die-hard of Directioners cringe. “So anyway, I'll shut up now and just say welcome and thank you and we're so excited and you're so handsome that I can't speak properly.”

Jeez Gwyneth, reign it in a notch. We'd definitely be more composed if Obama was standing in our front room. Ahem.

It seems Mario Falcone, star of TOWIE, has officially moved on from his broken engagement with former TOWIE co-star Lucy Mecklenburgh if his sister Giovanna Fletcher's comments are anything to go by.

Commenting on her brother's love life, she says: “He's looking. He has to find someone. Flings are fine for a certain amount of time, but as the years trickle by you want to find your life partner.” We wonder if Lucy will bristle at the implication she may have only been a fling in Mario's eyes.We know we would!

The pair's tearful Christmas goodbye last December suggested Lucy felt she may regret her decision to end the relationship saying: “Part of me in my heart says that 'yeah,I love you' and if it could be like it was in the beginning, yeah it would be amazing.”

Despite the awkward tumble Lucy took at the opening of Mondrian hotel last night, latest reports suggest that the 22-year-old is now getting on just fine without Mario! The stunning brunette has been dating TV presenter Gethin Jones of late, but the pair are yet to make it official. We wonder what Mario will make of this new developments.

We all have those messages on our phone that for whatever reason when we’re clearing our inboxes they manage to make the cut.

Here’s a list of 5 of the most common messages girls keep on their phones, no matter what!

1. Funny Messages From Your Bestfriend
Those weird conversations with your best friend that no one else would understand that just make you laugh every time you read back over them..

2. Messages That May Be Needed In The Future
These messages may be needed in the future as proof when someone denies saying something, you can whip out those messages as proof. Girls remember everything.

3. Cute Message From Your Granny
The fact she managed to send one successfully without sending it to the milkman by mistake is reason enough to keep it. She probably was wishing you good luck in your exams and telling you she lit a candle. It's also probably all in capital letters because she doesn’t know how to turn them off. She also signs her initials at the end – cute!

4. Messages From The Guy You Like
The sweet message from that one time 2 months ago when he wasn’t acting like a complete arse.

5. Messages For Cheaplist/Guestlist For Your Favourite Nightclub
Who would be bothered signing up and sending invites to get guestlist to your favourite club every week when instead you could just keep the same message to show at the door every week

Today, October 10, is officially World Mental Health Day. While it’s great to have one day a year dedicated to raising awareness, the mental health conversation is one that we should be having every day.

The stigma and confusion surrounding the issue of depression make it a difficult thing to come to terms with – not only for sufferers, but for their friends and family too.

For the day that’s in it, here are five common myths about depression that we all need to stop believing. The sooner we can accept that our mental health is just as significant as our physical health, the better.

1. Being depressed is the same thing as being sad
Yes, an overwhelming feeling of sadness is a very common symptom of depression. But that’s as far as the similarities go. Sadness is something that comes and goes and can often be related to events in our daily life. Depression is an ongoing condition that can’t just fade away on its own.

2. Depression is not an illness
Just because symptoms can vary or there is no one cure-all magic potion doesn’t mean that depression is not a sickness or a disease. The factors causing depression are outside of our control and can affect sufferers on every level – mentally, physically and emotionally. It’s not just a state of mind. Insisting that it is only serves to make people with depression feel that their struggle is insignificant.

3. It’s always caused by a sad or traumatic incident in our life
Situations like bereavements, heartbreak, and times of great change can leave even the most emotionally healthy person feeling vulnerable, low and empty. However while bouts of depression can be triggered by certain events, true depression will generally recur frequently, with symptoms lasting at least two weeks each time.

4. It’s all in your head
Depression can manifest itself in countless physical ways; lack of appetite, insomnia, even muscle aches and chest pains. Telling someone to “stay positive” or “cheer up” is not the answer – it only drives home the myth that depression is something that has a quick and easy fix.

5. Talking will make it worse
Yes, opening up about depression or broaching the subject with someone you suspect may be suffering can be awkward or uncomfortable. The sufferer may not respond well or even want to talk about it for fear of burdening others with their problems. That does not mean that talking about depression is a bad idea – it’s the only way to get rid of the stigma surrounding the issue. Proactive, constructive and positive conversations can make all the difference.

Angelina Jolie is officially Dame Angelina Jolie after she was honoured with the title today, Friday 10th October at Buckingham Palace.

The actress and activist was presented with the honour by the Queen herself and looked absolutely radiant in a grey coloured two-piece suit.

Those aware of Angelina’s extensive human rights campaigning won’t be very surprised to learn she has gained such a title – it was only in the last few months that Angelina spoke about the role of sexual violence during wartime.

It was said that the actress received the honorary damehood: “for services to UK foreign policy and the campaign to end war zone sexual violence.”

TMZ have reported that Iggy Azalea is getting divorced…

Except nobody knew she was married so what in the world is going on?!

Hefe Wine, who Iggy was previously in a relationship with, has filed divorce papers against the singer in what appears to be a common law marriage.

A rep for Iggy has said she never agreed to be married to Hefe and that the case is a “money grab”.

Hefe was also said to be Iggy's manager at the time of their relationship.

According to the report, if a judge recognises the marriage, then Hefe could own 50 per cent of the rights to the music she wrote while they were together.

That is said to be LOT of money…bad news for Iggy!

The former couple lived together in Texas “on or about” September of 2008.

The Australian rapper is currently in a relationship with Lakers player, Nick Young.

There may be wedding bells in the air for Cameron Diaz and her boyfriend Benji Madden!

Cameron was spotted with quite the diamond on her left-hand ring finger when she attended an event in Hollywood and then later out on a dinner-date with her man.

The couple have been together since April, after being introduced by Benji’s sister-in-law, Nicole Richie.

The former reality TV star turned designer is married to Benji's brother and Good Charlotte frontman, Joel Madden, the couple have two children together, Harlow and Sparrow.

Nicole joked recently that the relationship was entirely her doing, saying: “I’m going to take responsibility for everything. I approve of anything that’s going to make Benji happy.”

Aww – how sweet, we wonder if Nicole will design Cameron’s wedding dress…or are we jumping ahead of ourselves?!

First dates can be the height of awkwardness at the best of times, but certain things are just complete no-nos.

Here are a few situations that would have us running for the hills!

1. He shows up late
We’ll allow five or ten minutes, sure, but showing up any later than that is just plain rude. Especially if we’ve been waiting in a bar or restaurant by ourselves, paranoid that everyone thinks we’ve been stood up!

2. Even worse, he shows up drunk
Yes, we might have had a glass (or two) of wine while getting ready, but nothing that would take us into “drunk” territory. Slurring words is a total passion killer.

3. He spends all his time checking Facebook
If you can’t manage to be polite and put the phone away for our first ever date, that doesn’t look good for the future. See ya buddy!

4. He talks constantly about the past
And by “the past” we of course mean “his ex.” If you’re still on the rebound, stick to drunken hook-ups, not dates!

5. He looks literally nothing like his pictures (if you two met online)
Yes, your profile picture is allowed to be a flattering picture, but if it’s actually you ten years ago/ten stone lighter, that’s just lying.

6. He’s the designated driver
If you’ve got the car and can’t drink, don’t suggest a bar for your first date! An afternoon coffee or a cool restaurant for dinner will be much less awkward for both parties.

7. He’s too nervous or insecure
A few nerves are to be expected on a first date, but if he’s visibly awkward about small things like a simple goodnight kiss, it doesn’t bode well for your relationship down the line! If he’s a nice guy it’s worth giving him a second chance, but definitely not a third!

8. He doesn’t at least offer to pay
He might be hoping to God you’ll want to go 50/50, but it’s nice to make a point of offering to pay first – a girl likes to feel special!

9. He’s already decided you’re The One
There’s nothing like the smell of desperation to drive a new girl away. Sure, we’ve probably texted all our friends from the bathroom to say “this is my future husband” but at least we kept it quiet!

10. He’s too pushy
It’s the first date. Unless you’ve both decided this is just a casual fling, sex is most definitely NOT expected. If he acts like you’re being a prude by not going home with him, ditch him. Now!

There is some seriously feel-good Friday news just in as it has been revealed that Malala Yousafzai and Kailash Satyarthi have won this year’s Nobel peace prize!

The 17-year-old education rights activist was shot in the head by a gunman in 2012 on a school bus in Pakistan but amazingly survived and went on to become a great campaigner for women’s educational rights in her home country.

Malala first gained public attention as a blogger for the BBC at the age of 11, detailing her life under Taliban rule in Pakistan.

She is the youngest Nobel laureate in history and won alongside Indian children’s rights activist, Kailash Satyarthi. His organization, Bachpan Bachao Andolan, has freed over 80,000 children from slavery and servitude and re-educated and rehabilitated them.

It’s so great to hear that Malala’s efforts and struggles in the process of getting her message across have finally been recognised!

Well done to to Malala and Kailash – so well deserved!

Mean Girls star Daniel Franzese has made a parody of Sam Smith’s “Stay With Me” and it is EPIC!

It’s called “Please Go Home” and tells the story of an awkward one night stand where the person just will not go home.
