House of Cards star Kate Mara has split from her actor boyfriend Max Minghella after four years together

The couple were snapped looking happy together earlier this summer, but 31-year-old Kate and Max, 28, are said to have called quits on their romance.

The actress went to the Emmy awards without The Internship actor by her side on Monday.

Kate was nominated for 'Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series', but it was Allison Janney who took home the award for her role in Masters of Sex.

Not a good week for the actress!

Before he started dating Kate, Max was previously in a relationship with DJ and model Leigh Lezark.

We hope the pair are OK, break-ups are never easy!

It has been announced that Sarah Hyland has split from her boyfriend of five years, Matt Prokop.

Her rep confirmed the news after sources told US Weekly it was all of between the two: “They decided they would be better off as friends.”

The news comes only a day after Sarah walked the Emmy’s red carpet alone.

Sarah and Matt met in 2008 and later went on to star together in high-school rom-com Geek Charming in 2011.

It is not known who will get custody of the couple’s dog Barkley, who often features in Sarah’s Instagram photos.

Simon Cowell has made moves to clear up rumours that One Direction are heading for a break up!

The X Factor boss took to Twitter following claims that the band have hit a rough patch and are going to go their separate ways after their Where We Are tour.

He wrote, "Just to clear up the rumours, it is my guess and my hope One D will stay together for a very long time.

"The boys are having the best time. And as I said recently their new album is really really good."

Simon’s comments comes after he broke millions of hearts by saying, “Bands don't stay together forever. I think they will make at least two more albums together and they are in the middle of one right now."

Hmmmmm….bit of damage control Simon?!

Sad news as actor confirms his marriage is over

It has been confirmed that actor, musician and TV personality, Nick Cannon, and his diva wife, Mariah Carey, have officially split.

Nick confirmed the rumours himself, saying: “There is trouble in paradise. We have been living in separate houses for a few months.”

The acknowledgement comes mere days after numerous reports that the high-profile marriage was on the rocks, with many reports saying the cause was Nick’s disclosure of famous people he had slept with.

Nick made the admission live on radio and included Kim Kardashian on his list, which his wife was said to be livid about.

Following the split being publicised, Nick says the most important thing is his children, that’s Dem Babies to me and you: “My main focus is my kids.”

Nick and Mariah got married back in 2008 and welcomed twins, Monroe and Morocco in 2011.

It was only one year ago that the couple renewed their vows, but it seems even a second wedding in Disneyland couldn’t save this marriage.

It has been announced that Zooey Deschanel has split from her long-term love, Jamie Linden.

US Weekly have said that multiple sources have confirmed that the relationship is over after The New Girl actress was spotted having lunch with producer, Jacob Pechenik.

Zooey and Jamie had been going out for two years.

The actress was previously married to The Postal Service and Death Cab for Cutie musician, Ben Gibbard, from 2009 until their split in 2011.

Ooh, this does not sound good at all, at all.

It has been reported that Queen Bey was spotted house-hunting alone in New York City recently, sparking further rumours that her marriage to Jay-Z is well and truly on the rocks.

The New York Post have said that the star was seen viewing an apartment in NYC’s Chelsea and looked as if it was “on the sly.”

A source also said that it was unlikely Jay-Z would leave their current NYC apartment…what does that mean?!

The report is just one of many surrounding the power couple in recent weeks.

We really hope they can work things out – if Bey and Jay can’t make it, who can?!

It seems that nobody is immune to break-up woes – even models and rugby stars.

Dublin model Holly Carpenter and Irish rugby ace Cian Healy have apparently called time on their relationship.

The couple had been dating for over two years after meeting at a community demonstration in Dublin in November 2011.

The split is said to have come as a big surprise to friends as the couple have an adopted dog together – a little pug called Teddy.

So sad!

Holly is said to have already booked a holiday to Spain with a model pal Jayne Higgins, who took part in the Miss Ireland finals last weekend. Holly won the title in 2011.

Well, let’s hope a girlie holiday will take her mind off the split!

It has been reported that Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult have called an end to their relationship.

Gutted.

The rumours began when Jennifer was spotted with Coldplay’s Chris Martin, and later, Nicholas was reportedly seen cosying up to Riley Keough.

The couple went through a brief split before, before reuniting and being together since this time last year.

Jennifer was even said to have made a move to Nicholas’ native England.

It’s great to see her happy now, but Cheryl Cole…sorry…just Cheryl, has opened up about her painful break-up from ex-hubby Ashley Cole.

Cheryl and footballer Ashley divorced in 2010, with Cheryl citing “unreasonable behaviour” as the reason for their break-up.

And now the singer, who secretly wed Frenchman Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini on July 7th, has opened up about how she felt after her first marriage ended.

She said, “[I felt] horrible, numb, to the point where you don’t feel happy things; you don’t feel bad things.

“I was borderline. I was walking crazyville. I had no fire in me belly. I didn’t feel passionate anymore. Just a bit dead. Getting out of bed was difficult.”

However, the X Factor judge was determined to stay strong!

She added, “You know what I also realised these past years? I refuse to let somebody else’s s**ty behaviour change me fundamentally. So because you treat me like s**t, I’m not going to become bitter and twisted.

“I’m going to remain the person I am, with the values and beliefs that I had, and let you deal with your s**t.”

When asked why she chose not to revert back to her maiden name of Tweedy after the split, she said, “Because that feels like the old, old me. It’s like an old like. And it doesn’t feel like his name anymore.

“[It feels] like I own it. And I’ve built a lot of my life around it.”

Good on ya Cheryl!
