Get your leather T-Birds or Pink Ladies jacket and head back to 1959 as a Grease prequel is happening.

Yes, were are BUZZING.

Its exciting news for Grease fans as the beloved musical is getting a back story for it's two main characters – high-schoolers Danny Zuko and Sandy Olsson.

The 1978 flick was a smash hit when it was released and has gone on to claim cult status.

It tells the story of two teens – John Travolta’s rough-and-tumble greaser, Olivia Newton-John’s good-girl from Australia – who fall madly in love one summer only to be reunited on the first day of their senior year.

This movie will focus on how the couple met and the summer they spent together.

Paramount Players has chosen John August to write the script for the new film, which is currently in development.

The title of the movie is a nod to the song that the pair sing about their summer fling in the original movie – Summer Nights.

The phenomenon of Grease is not hard to understand as the movie has everything from a fantastic ensemble cast sizzling with chemistry, 1950s nostalgia and songs that many people could sing by heart.

A sequel came out in 1982, titled Grease 2, which got slated but has a great soundtrack and a cast that did their best with a flimsy script.

The live TV version in 2016, which starred Aaron Tveit and Julianne Hough as the central couple, had rave reviews and was generally viewed as a success.

Let's just hope that this prequel stands up to the genius that is Grease – because we are hopelessly devoted to it.

Marvels first female superhero, Captain Marvel is hitting the screen at ODEON's to its 11 cinemas nationwide  on March 8.

The Marvel blockbuster stars Brie Larson as an ex-pilot who after an accident gains superpowers and joins an intergalactic team called Starforce.

Brie Larson said, “It’s so interesting, as it’s not something I thought about until I was in the cinema watching Wonder Woman. About two minutes in, I was sobbing and thought, 'Why am I crying so much over this?'''

She continued, ''But it was seeing all of these warrior women who were so self-sufficient. That wasn’t something I identified with growing up – my hero was Indiana Jones. To have the chance to be one example of this is powerful and exciting.''

Our plans for this evening are definitely sorted – Happy International Women's Day one and all.

There's nothing we love more than a good rom-com and The Notebook is just iconic.

From Rachel McAdams and Ryan Goslings fizzing chemistry to the cool 1940s fashion to teh absolute sob-fest of a finale, you can't go wrong with it.

Unless you're Netflix that is.

The streaming service has come under extreme fire on social media after fans were baffled at what appeared to be an alternate ending.

Alternate…ending…of The Notebook?!

No, it cant be: Noah and Allie dance, Allie remembers their epic love story for a millisecond and then forgets and they die peacefully in each others arms we're bawling so hard at this stage.

However, in Netflix' version, after Allie remembers their love, they are seen holding hands before the credits roll.

Obvs fans went mad on social media – and rightfully so.

One said, ''DO NOT EVEN DARE GIVE US YOUR WEIRD EDITED VERSION OF THE NOTEBOOK. That ending is sacred!''

While another wrote, ''The @netflix in the UK doesn't show the full ending to The Notebook & I'm actually about to riot.''

We hear you.

Netflix was alerted to all the dramz and took to Twitter to reassure viewers that they didn't edit the beloved flick.

They said that an alternate version exists and they played the one that they were given.

They soon updated the situation by writing, ''We've we've uploaded the correct (is it correct? who knows at this point) version so the familiar ending is restored.''

Well thank f*ck for that – now we're off to stock up on tissues and give the classic another watch.

It's happening and we are pretty f*cking excited.

The Kissing Booth is returning to our screens on Netflix and we are here for it.

Joey King and Joel Courtney, who play the lead characters, took to social media to announce the happy news.

And it's ADORBS.

The original flick *spoilers ahead* follows Elle who decided to set up a kissing booth at her school carnival with her best mate, Lee.

But if they want people to get smoochin', they need the help of Lee's HOT older bro Noah (Jacob Elordi) to join the booth.

No clues about the plot of the sequel have been given but Netflix did confirm the film is already in production.

In the video announcement, Joey and Joel are building their own kissing booth together.

Joey tweeted, ''YUP!!! WE ARE GETTING A SEQUEL!!!" while Joel wrote, ''Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone! It’s official!"

Fans went wild for the announcement.

One said, ''That's great news! Yay for more Elle, Lee & Noah! I'm excited to find out what happens next, also cause there's no 2nd book! #TheKissingBooth.''

While another wrote, ''This looks so cheesy and I love it.''

A few months ago, Will Smith appeared on the cover of Entertainment Weekly alongside the stars of Disney's live-action remake of Aladdin, and people had something to SAY.

Basically, he wasn't blue, and this deeply offended the general public. Like, DEEPLY offended. Scuba diving in the Pacific deep.

He took to Instagram to defend himself, writing; "I’m gonna be BLUE! This is how the Genie is in human or disguise form. My character will be CGI most of the movie."

However, during the Grammy's ad-break last night, a new trailer for the movie was released and once again, fans ain't happy.

Disney managed to sneak in a minute-long trailer featuring Naomi Scott as Jasmine and Mena Massoud in the protagonist role. Will Smith's turn as the Genie has EVERYONE talking.

The 50-year-old actor is under a lot of pressure, taking over the reboot role from Robin Williams' iconic performance.

Sharing his own reaction to the trailer release, Will wrote on Instagram: "I told y’all I was gon’ be Blue!! Y’all need to trust me more often!"

When he accepted the role, the actor said: "Whenever you’re doing things that are iconic, it’s always terrifying. The question is always: Where was there meat left on the bone? Robin didn’t leave a lot of meat on the bone with the character."

The 1992 animation starred Robin Williams, and became especially iconic for his role in the voice acting and music.

The memes have already begun flowing in, and we are entertained to say the least.

Even Judge Judy was dragged into the hilarity:

The reactions are pure gas:

Paul Giamatti from the iconic Frankie Munez flick Big Fat Liar was even used:

Viewers weren't READY:

The poor man is getting dragged, by his own Shark Tale character:

We feel a bit sorry for him…

Do you think he deserves all this slagging? We don't think so, but by GOD are we enjoying the memes. Keep 'em coming, people.

Aladdin is set for release on 24 May, so we'll see what the reaction is to the full flick in due course.

It's a classic romantic comedy that never gets old.

My Best Friends Wedding might be 22 years old this year, but it's aging like a fine wine – thanks to its magnetic cast of Julia Roberts, Dermot Mulroney, Cameron Diaz, and Rupert Everett.

There are so many memorable moments in this flick – from the opening credits brides-and-bridesmaids song against a hot pink background to the hysterical Dionne Warwick sing-a-along in the restaurant courtesy of Rupert Everett's George.

But there is one stand-out scene that Cameron Diaz nails – yes, the karaoke bar where Roberts' Jools takes an unsuspecting Kim (Diaz) knowing that she can't sing a note.

Cameron proceeds to stumble her way through what begins as an excruciating rendition of I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself.

However, it's a case of she's-so-bad-she's good and her pitchy singing soon becomes endearing, with the whole bar cheering her along.

Basically, it's GAS.

So how did the whole thing play out behind the scenes?

The cast reunited to cover Entertainment Weekly's special Rom-Com issue and Cameron revealed what filming the now-iconic scene was like.

The scene was shot live so Cameron was singing in front of a whole crowd – and she was just as nervous as her on-screen character.

The director P.J. Hogan said, ''Cameron just botched her way through the song. And the worse she got, the better the scene was. But then Cameron was so game that the applause started to become real.”

Cameron was terrified of the scene but just like how it pans out on-screen, Dermot helped her through it.

She said, ''I was terrified to do that scene, for real. I allowed the true terror of singing in front of people to be alive in me.''

She continued, ''I wanted to run and hide, and Dermot kept me there. He said, 'You can do it, you can do it.' In the scene I’m just staring at him the whole time because he’s looking at me like, 'You’re okay. You’re not gonna die.' And I was like, 'But I’m dying.'"

We adore the scene and think that Cameron couldn't have done it better – now, does this give us an excuse to go and watch it again?

It's gotten rave reviews and looks set to be a triumphant return for the beloved Mary Poppins.

And now a behind the scenes clip shows the lengths Emily Blunt went to to avoid special effects being used in one of the scenes.

The scene is question is the one with the bathtub where Emily drops toys into it while singing Imagine That.

The footage shows Emily as she sits on the edge of the bathtub, in a scene that shows her being sucked down into the tub – which is precisely what happened.

Cafe Fantasia released the clip on Twitter, showing the 35-year-old getting pulled down into the bath tubs filled with bubbles and sliding down a chute backwards to the safety of crew under the set.

How unbelievable is that?

Emily opened up about the scene in a Q&A when she said, ''Everyone involved was very insistent that as much as possible we would build practical sets that we could very much interact with.''

She continued, ''And so what they did with the bath, which the kids thought was the best thing ever, was that they actually carved a hole in the bottom of the bath and had a slide which went under the stage.''

People were in awe of how the scene was shot and took to social media to express this.

One said, ''Oh wow! This film just keeps getting better and better! Practical effects over CGI everyday.''

While another wrote, ''It's amazing just HOW much they did in camera, isn't it.''

It's another reason – as if we needed one anyway – to go and see it.

Happy Christmas Eve everybody.

It's the night before the big day and most of us are hastily wrapping last-minute presents or in the pub but by tonight, it'll be time to relax.

And what better to relax with then a good aul Irish movie?

RTE has come to the rescue again tonight with the perfect choice to settle down in front of – Sing Street.

If you haven't seen it, then you're in for a treat.

Set in 1980's Dublin, the movie follows teenage Conor as grapples with his parents divorce and having to move to the rough-and-tumble Christian Brothers school.

When he meets the mysterious Raphina, he decides to set up a band to woo her – with hilarious results.

It's jammed back with cool 80's tunes, brilliant costumes and a real feeling of nostalgia – what more could you want?

Also, the band's video for Riddle of the Model is not only seriously funny but actually quite a good song.

Sit back and crack open a box of Quality Street – you won't regret it.

Two days to Christmas.

What does that mean?

In amidst the rushing to shops to buy last-minute presents, furiously wrapping and cramming in as many meeting with old friends as possible, there is always time for a Christmas staple – settling down in front of a good festive movie.

If you're staying in tonight, then you're in luck.

RTE One knows exactly what we want and they have slotted on the perfect feel-good Christmas flick at 9:30pm tonight.

It's none other than…The Holiday.

This 2003 rom-com has turned into a fully-fledged festive favourite – and we love it.

In case you're unfamiliar with the plot – two miserable women on the cusp of Christmas partake in a life-swapping experiment.

Glowy Californian Cameron Diaz who works in movies and lives in a an L.A mansion swaps with Kate Winslet's quaint but quiet Surrey cottage.

It might sound a bit cheesy (and at times it is) but it fizzes with charm and the supporting cats of Jack Black, Jude Law and Eli Wallach make it a must-see come December.

We plan on whipping up that Baileys hot chocolate and settling down in front of the telly tonight – you should too.

The Holiday, 9:3pm tonight, RTE One.
