We've all been complimented on an outfit before, and replied with a swift; "Thanks gal, it's from Penneys" to scores of disbelieving crowds.

Today, the queen of affordable fashion is celebrating 50 years of business since opening on Mary Street in Dublin in 1969. The golden jubilee of the iconic brand is gifting shoppers with a new collection.

The first store grew and gained loving fans, becoming famous with Irish and international fashion fans alike. The company now has 372 stores in 12 countries, over 75,000 employees and 15 million square feet of retail space.

The store brings 'Amazing Fashion at Amazing Prices' to the masses, and we owe it dearly for many killer outfits and Harry Potter merch.

The brand operates as Primark outside of Ireland, and has become a huge success story over the last 50 years. It plans to expand into Eastern Europe in the future, having just opened a store in Slovenia last month.

The largest store yet was opened in Birmingham this year, with five floors and 160,000 sq. feet of retail space. Primark's biggest beauty studio to date is featured, as well as a barbers and three restaurants.

With womenswear, kidswear, menswear and homeware in it's arsenal, Penneys continues to evolve it's homewear range and has achieved Leaping Bunny certification from Cruelty-Free International for all its own brand, Primark PS... products last year.

Ranges from jeans to pyjamas made using sustainably sourced cotton, grown by farmers trained through Primark’s Sustainable Cotton Programme, are now a regular store staple.

We were LOVING their eco-friendly biodegradable glitter, which launched last month just in time for festivals.

The brand are aware that there's more to be done, and wants to ensure their products are made with care and respect for the environment and workers making the clothing.

Mary Street remains a valuable landmark, with the company's international headquarters located above the shop. The HQ is named after Primark's founder and chairman, Arthur Ryan.

Expressing his pride over the 50-year milestone, Primark CEO, Paul Marchant said:

“The doors to the very first Penneys opened on Mary Street 50 years ago today, and I am so proud of everything we have achieved together in that time – starting from humble beginnings with just one store to now serving over one million customers a day."

The Lion King collection, released today, has already sent fans into a frenzy. Prices start from just €3.50, so you can imagine the rush to buy the entire range.

The amazing line include a white jumper with all your favourite characters from the hit movie, denim shorts, trainers and a yellow bag. Penneys have even created a beauty aspect to the line.

A three pack of lipsticks, a €6 highlighter palette and a mini eye shadow palette are all part and parcel of the range, and we've reached peak excitement.

Penneys bedding from €17

There's even a gorgeous duvet set that is sure to be snapped up quick. We have our eyes on a terracotta hoodie with a mini Simba's face on it for €14…

The shop dropped a 'Feeling Proud' collection to mark pride weekend in support of LGBTQ rights a few weeks ago too, not to mention a Toy Story 4 range.

We're been treated well by the budget fashion house, that's for sure.

Paul Merchant also made sure to give his thanks to Penneys' exceptionally loyal customers;

"I would like to thank our customers for their loyalty over the past five decades. We look forward to providing them with an exceptional shopping experience into the future."

The visionary company is celebrating in style in its Mary Street store, encouraging customers to drop by today to join in the fun and fashion from 12pm onwards with a live DJ, giveaways and treat stations throughout the day.

May as well pop in, you may just get a well-deserved gift out of it. Not to mention it's time to scout out that incredible Lion King collection before it sells out…

We've been anxiously waiting for Disney/Pixar to reveal more details about the highly anticipated Toy Story 4, and they have finally delivered.

Keanu Reeves has been cast as Duke Caboom, "Canada's greatest stuntman", and he's revving to go. As are we.

The teaser clip shows Reeves' character in a commercial for "the greatest toy that Canada has ever seen" (according to the theme song).

It becomes immediately, and hilariously, clear that he is not quite as talented as the advert claims him to be…

The Canadian stuntman is reminiscent of cult favourite characters like Super Dave Osborne and Evel Knievel, and is very nostalgic of the 1970s.

Duke Caboom is always prepared to show off his stunt posing with swagger and confidence, leaving the other Toy Story 4 characters confused and with many questions.

Woody quickly notices that Duke has an Achilles heel: he can't actually do any awesome stunt work which is advertised in his personal toy commercial.

As it turns out, Duke has been sitting in an antique store, reliving the tragic personal failures of times gone by.

The fourth Toy Story offering is directed by Josh Cooley and features the voice talents of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Annie Potts, Tony Hale, Keegan-Michael Key, Maddie McGraw, Jordan Peele, Ally Maki, Don Rickles and Christina Hendricks, among many others.

Toy Story 4 will "crash into theatres" on June 20 of this year, so it's not long now to wait to see our beloved heroes once more.

It's finally arrived.

The full trailer for Toy Story 4 has been released and we have been watching it on repeat since.

We weren't  sure about a fourth instalment of the franchise, especially as the third has felt like a great ending.

But Woody and Buzz are back, along with the whole gang and we couldn't be more excited.

So the story is as follows: Woody and co are now Bonny's toys and when new character Forky attempts to run away, Woody steps up to the plate as usual.

Cue an adventure and Woody crossing paths with Bo Peep who isn't as we remembered her.

It might be the fourth movie, but it feels like coming home to old friends and it's definitely one that we'll be watching with the whole fam.

Toy Story 4 will be released in cinemas on June 21, 2019.

Toy Story 4 is making its big return in the summer of 2019, coming to screens this June, despite the fact that most fans feel a satisfying ending has already happened.

The commercially-acclaimed Toy Story 3 ended the franchise on a perfect note, seeing Andy off to college and saying a tearful goodbye to Woody and the gang.

The fourth instalment really does appear to be the finale of the iconic Pixar movies, centring around toys who come to life.

In the latest series of teaser clips, Bo Beep has announced her big return to Woody and Buzz' gang, thank God. We love a bitta female representation. Especially when they're wielding a large stick.

Tom Hanks, the voice of Woody, has said that he couldn't even look at the rest of the team and cast while recording the ending to the movie. My EMOTIONS.

Bo Beep has got a new-look, and she's looking badass AF. They've also introduced two new (adorable) characters, Ducky and Bunny.

Even better, Ducky and Bunny are being played by the HILARIOUS veteran comedy duo, Key and Peele (Jordan Peele and Keegan-Michael Key)

Famed for their portrayals of Barack Obama and his 'anger translater' Luther, these two will bring some humour to the already-classic franchise.

WE CANNOT WAIT. Bring on June 21 2019.

The teaser trailer for Toy Story 4 has finally landed and we are so unbelievably excited. We couldn’t quite believe that the franchise was returning with a fourth instalment, especially at how final the third movie felt. It was the perfect goodbye, but alas Woody, Buzz and co. are back and we must admit we’re only thrilled to see them.

The fourth movie will follow Woody as he struggles to deal with being replaced by another toy. Pixar revealed: "Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that's Andy or Bonnie. But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called 'Forky' to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy."

The teaser trailer gives fans a glimpse at the gang who appear to be in a spot of bother. New toy Forky begins to freak out in the clip which causes the other toys to panic.

We are counting down the days to Toy Story 4 and June 21, 2019, seriously needs to hurry up.

Tim Allen who voices Buzz Lightyear warned fans about the upcoming movie, saying we'll be sobbing from start to finish.

He said the storyline is incredibly great, but he struggled to get through some scenes because he was fighting back the tears.

Some of our childhood Disney favourites are being remade into live action films and we can’t wait to see them.

But how much longer must we anticipate the release of these classic movies?

Here are the most recent dates announced for a few of our favourite films.

1. The Lion King

The movie is returning to the big screens on July 19, 2019, and the cast looks incredible.

From the same director of the live action Jungle Book Jon Favreau, the film will star Donald Glover as Simba, Beyonce as Naala, and, of course, James Earl Jones as Mufasa.

2. Aladdin

On May 24, 2019, the live-action version of Aladdin will be in cinemas.

Will Smith has confirmed his role as The Genie, quite fittingly, while Mena Massoud will play Aladdin and Naomi Scott will star as Jasmine.

3. Frozen 2

Unfortunately, we have to wait over a year for Frozen to be released on November 27, 2019, but Disney promises it will be worth the wait.

Although nothing is known about the plot of the film, the original main cast has confirmed its return.

4. Toy Story

Toy Story 4 will be in theatres on June 21, 2019. Tom Hanks and Tim Allen will be returning to voice their iconic roles as Woody and Buzz.

The sequel will also feature a love story between Woody and Little Bo Peep.

Even though it’s a while longer until their release dates, next year has a great lineup for Disney films.

And we are excited to relive these magical adventures.

Pixar fans, rejoice! Woody, Buzz, Mr. Potato Head, and co. will be returning to screens very soon as Toy Story 4 has been given an official release date.

The highly anticipated film is set to hit theatres on June 21, 2019.

It is understood that the movie will focus on the love story between Woody and Bo Beep- how adorable!

The fourth installment of the much-loved franchise will be released nearly a decade after Toy Story 3 where fans waved goodbye to Andy as he embarked on his new life as a college student.

Many fans believed that we wouldn’t see Woody and co. on the big screen again, especially with the way Toy Story 3 ended, but it seems like the creators came up with a story that just had to be told.

Disney Chief Creative Officer John Lasseter told CNBC that they would never release a film unless the storyline was perfect.

He shared, “At Pixar and at Disney, we only make sequels if we come up with a story that's as good or better than the original.”

He added, “That's our rule. We don't do things just to print money.”

We may have to wait until next summer to see Toy Story 4, but fear not,  Incredibles 2 will be released this summer, 14 years after the original movie was released.

We're all just big kids, really.

When we first found out that Disney-Pixar had finally announced a date for the new Toy Story movie, we probably got a little over excited (it is the best kids film, after all).

But don't get too carried away if you're looking forward to it because the highly anticipated movie will be delayed until June 2019.

Hasn't your excitement just turned into mush?!

However, the film franchise also announced that The Incredibles 2 is going to be hitting our screens and will be swapping release dates with Toy Story 4.

SO, 2018 will see The Incredibles 2 and 2019 will see Toy Story (finally) hit our screens.

Finally! The Disney announcement we have been waiting for has been made.

After years of anticipation the Disney Chief Creative Officer John Lasseter has finally confirmed what fans of the Toy Story series have been talking about for months.

Toy Story 4 is going to be a love story.

Disney’s fan convention D23 is currently taking place and at is Lasseter broke the news to the expectant fans.

“It’s a love story with Woody and — and this is news — Bo Peep.”

Since later 2014 rumours have been running rife about the plot of the newest addition to the series. Pixar have been keeping all of the details on as much of a lockdown as they could manage.

Now we imagine that many die-hard fans of Woody, Buzz and the gang are going to be over the moon.

“At Pixar and at Disney, we only make sequels if we come up with a story that’s as good or better than the original,” Lasseter explained.

He went on to say, “That’s our rule. We don’t do things just to print money… it’s really exciting.”

Yes, it is exciting.

Considering Bo Peep was left out of Toy Story 3 because Andy grew up and didn’t need all of his toys anymore (we didn’t cry, honestly), there are a few possibilities of what might happen in Toy Story 4.

Will we be travelling back in time to a place where Andy was younger and toy obsessed? Or will Bo Peep be undertaking an epic adventure to find her one true love, Woody?

Also of note from today’s convention, Finding Nemo and The Incredibles are both getting sequels too.
