Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen are officially the first ever Love Island couple to tie the knot. 

The pair have been together for two years since meeting in the Love Island villa, and reportedly said I do over the weekend.

Olivia chatted to The Mirror ahead of her big day, saying: 'It’s so soon and I’m trying not to panic – I think things like this take my mind off it and keep me busy.'

'But we’ve planned it – whatever happens happens. If I’ve forgotten anything, I don’t know.'

The couple have not shared any images from the wedding yet – but according to Olivia, the pics will be along shortly. 

'We promise that photos will soon come. We're just enjoying our time away from everything at the moment and are revelling in married bliss.' 

Promise to share soon,' Olivia wrote on her Instagram story. 

The couple are planning on honeymooning in Sri Lanka and The Maldives.

It may be over for another year, but the dramz from Love Island is the gift that keeps on giving.

We were heartbroken to find out last week the fan fave and all-round sound gal Laura Anderson had split from ''Cool'' (seriously, where did that come from?) Paul Knops. 

However, it seems that now that summers over and those rose-tinted specs are well and truly off, that the couples are dropping like flies.

The latest victims?

They were hardly gonna get married and I mean, they had a bit of a rocky start. 

Remember Laura C bawling on the roof terrace to Laura A about how much she liked Jack literally hours after he'd dumped Laura A?

The pair had been dating for two months since leaving the villa but Laura confirmed the news that they were no longer together.

She continued, “I feel truly blessed to have got to share my Love Island experience with him and to have made a friend for life. We will carry on supporting each other on this journey and I can’t wait to see where it takes us.''

What did Jack have to say about all fo this?

The 22-year-old explained, ''we met in extraordinary circumstances and had an amazing time getting to know each other, both whilst in the villa and outside of it but our lives are currently taking us in different directions.''

“We will remain friends and I will support her in whatever she does. I wish her all the best. See you soon surfer girl!”

It all sounds very mutual and happy so who are we to judge?

Although, what's that saying – things come in threes?

During Love Island's eight-week run this summer, we often joked than an Irish version of the show would be delightful. 

Set on the Aran Islands perhaps, with a cast of characters from up and down the country. 

We never thought an Irish Love Island could happen – but now it seems that it could be in the works.

Virgin Media, who recently took over TV3, are reportedly in talks to create an Irish version with an unnamed production company. 

According to The Irish Daily Star, Virgin Media boss Bill Malone said that 'It has been rumoured about an Irish Love Island and it has been discussed.'

She may not have won Love Island, but Megan Barton-Hanson has truly won over the hearts of the public with her honesty about her past.

Taking to Instagram, Megan opened up about just how quickly her life has changed in the space of a year. She bravely shared her mental health struggles in the touching Instagram post: “How times have changed! This time last year I was in really a bad space. Megan admitted she felt like her life was going nowhere. Her dreams felt like they were out of reach, but fast forward to 365 days later and her life has completely changed for the better.

She encouraged her followers to keep going no matter how hard life is for them: “I can’t quite believe that so much can change so quickly. If you’re feeling shitty today just know that everything can change.”

Talk about cashing in!

Love Island might be over for another year but the reality TV stars that it has spawned are only getting started.

Fan (and personal) fave Wes Nelson might not have taken home the crown in the villa this summer but he might do so on another show before the year is out.

Wes has confirmed that he's been having talks about another big telly job but he's keeping his cards close to his chest for the moment.

The 20-year-old design engineer has become one of the nation's favourites from this year's Love Island and since leaving the villa with gf Megan Barton-Hanson, they have been probably the most-talked-about pair.

So it's no surprise really that the hilarious former Islander looks like he could be back on our screens before we know it.

As whispers for the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! line-up continue to swirl, what did Wes have to say about his potential involvement?

Wes said, ‘I’m doing a couple of TV shows, but they’re in discussion so you’ll have to wait and see. It’s all confidential but you’ll see.''

What about the jungle? He grinned, ''it's all but confidential but you’ll see.''

His gal Megan has decided to take another route and avoid the club PAs for a career in fashion.

The 24-year-old said, ''I've always loved fashion. I’m about to go to loads of shows at London Fashion Week, so that will be good. That’s how I want to rebrand myself.''

Looks like great things are ahead for this couple – good luck with it lads!

Megan and Wes have had some seriously busy schedules since leaving the Love Island villa, but that hasn't stopped the couple spending time together. 

The pair wew known for sneaking off together in the villa, and it was Wes who coined the term 'Do Bits Society,' so when speaking to The Sun about their relationship, it's no wonder it was brought up.

'We set up a nice HQ in Southend. We've refurbished it, got a receptionist and everything.'

'The Do Bits Society has gone to a new level,' Megan then added.

A source told The Sun : 'Laura and Paul have been so busy since the show finished and both had holidays planned without each other – so they have ended up spending a lot of time apart.'

'Paul went to New York for modelling work and on to Burning Man while Laura enjoyed some time back in Dubai where she lived before signing up to Love Island.'

Love Island winner and nation's sweetheart Dani Dyer revealed that she went on the show after she was turned down for a part on Eastenders.

In an interview with the Daily Star on Sunday, she told the tabloid that the BBC was considering her for a part on the show, before deciding she wasn't quite right for the role.

'I don’t know about Eastenders. They wouldn’t let me on it,' she said.

The reality TV star feels that her Dad Danny Dyer's character on the show was a reason for her not getting it. 

'I think it’s because my dad is already on it, there would be a massive outrage,' she said. 

A source told the Daily Star that Dani was 'heartbroken' over the news that she didn't get the part.

Last night, three of Love Island's most beloved stars descended on Dublin. 

Samira Mighty, Laura Anderson and Kazamir Crossley flew in to attend a star studded bash for the  launch of the PS… Loves Easilocks collection, which lands in Penneys stores today. 

The gals looked super glam, and decided to make a night of it before catching their 7am flight back to the UK. 

The girls were each wearing Easilocks extension pieces from the new range, and took to the catwalk on the night in the RHC Gallery on Ely Place to showcase their new do's. 

The trio partied at Dublin hotspot House, along with the Easilocks crew. 

Despite Laura declaring she wasn't able for shots, the three indulged in a round of baby Guinness shots.

The villa might be freshly empty and the Islanders are out trying to navigate the public eye, but Love Island bosses are wasting no time looking for their replacements.

It seems something was in the water this year as applicants have signed up in their thousands.

Some 25,000 hopefuls (YES, 25,000!) have already filled out the application form and are waiting with baited breathe for a reply.

For this year's edition of arguably the most addictive programme on telly, 80,000 sent in the form in the aim of being selected to find love on the silver screen, according to The Sun. 

A staggering 60,000 of them signed-up to take part in the first 12 hours of the applications being open last year, reported the publication.

To be fair, the Love Island bosses really know how to sell it.

On their application form they open with: "Have you got what it takes to be an islander and survive a summer in paradise?

"How do you fancy enjoying your very own long hot summer of romance? Love Island will be back for summer 2019 and we're now on the lookout for lively singles from across the country to take part."

They continue with the lucky few setting-up home in a "spectacular luxury villa" and requires the candidates to find love, couple up and win the heart's of the public (no pressure, sure).

If you do want to have a shot at joining the ranks of next year's Islanders – you're in luck.

You still have until next year to dot the i's and cross the t's as the deadline is April 30, 2019.

Love Island’s Megan has opened up about her decision to have plastic surgery. The reality star has defended herself in an honest interview with Cosmopolitan UK.

She admitted that she didn’t get the procedures done to impress others, but for a much more empowering reason.

The former glamour model urged people to be less negative about plastic surgery, admitting she doesn’t think there is anything wrong with it.

“I think if you want to do something to make yourself more comfortable, then why not?” she said.

The 24-year-old stressed that she doesn’t consider herself a role model. “I did it for me and no-one else.”

Megan revealed that she has had a huge amount of procedures done in her life so far: "I got a boob job at 19, and had another one when I got older and had more money to upgrade the surgeon! And I had my nose done and my lips filled. And the teeth.”

The Love Island contestant said she has nothing to be ashamed of. She got those procedures done simply to boost her confidence: “I've done what I’ve done because it made me me feel confident and comfortable.”

Megan argued that society has no problem with women going to the hairdressers, nail salon or beauticians to boost their confidence, so what is wrong with her getting a procedure that makes her feel good about herself.

“I get my lips done because I feel better, it doesn’t have to be a massive deal,” she shared.

Megan came in fourth place in the Love Island finale on Monday night.
