If Coachella has been on the bucket list for years now or you simply need an injection of Vitamin D (and frankly, who doesn't?), let us direct your attention towards an airline which will get you Stateside for next to nothing this April.

The good folk at WOW Air have announced fares from Dublin to LA for as little as €155.99 in April, and this offer is available from today, people!

Coachella is continuing to grow in popularity among Irish festival goers and Wow Air are keen to cater to the masses, with Svanhvít Fridriksdóttir, Director of Communications at WOW air, confirming the motivation behind the incredible offer.

“With more and more Irish travelling to LA in April for the famous Coachella festival, we are delighted to be able to make travel to the city more affordable and accessible than ever by offering passengers low-cost fares," she said.

With Beyoncé, Eminem and The Weekend all set to take to the stage at the now iconic music festival, something tells us our current account is about to take a slight hit.

Ladies, it's go-time.

Chrissie Teigen has never made any secret of her disdain for the Trump family, and after nine years vocalising it, the Lip Sync Battle star was eventually blocked by Donald Trump on Twitter in July of last year.

‘LOL, no one likes you’ was her admittedly juvenile response to yet another ‘fake news’ rant by the POTUS,  but it was clearly the straw that broke the camel’s back.

And whether Chrissie hopes to elicit a similar response from his daughter Ivanka or not, she’s going the right away about if a recent tweet is anything to go by.

Contributing to the current narrative surrounding Oprah’s inspirational speech at Sunday night’s Golden Globes, Ivanka praised the veteran broadcaster and encouraged her followers to unite against sexism and harassment.

Given both her father’s reputation with regards the issue and her own dogged defence of his conduct, it’s hardly surprising many Twitter users felt somewhat irritated by Ivanka’s contribution, and this included Chrissie.

Responding to Ivanka’s tweek, Chrissie opted for another playground retort, writing: “Ew, Go away.”

The tweet has garnered a mixed response today, with some Twitter users questioning her disdain and others praising her stance.

“Further proof that liberals only support women that have their same political views. All other women be damned,” wrote one.

“Look at all these chumpettes trying to get angry at you, hilarious! You say ewww but their role model says grab their p******! And the girl you are being "mean" to doesn't support his accusers & has not helped women get equal pay. Keep going Chrissy!” wrote another in contrast.

The family of a Japanese man who died in a fatal stabbing in Dundalk last week have thanked the people of Ireland for their 'warmth' and 'kindness'.

Yosuke Sasaki was killed in the vicious and random attack which occurred shortly before 9am on Wednesday, January 3.

Originally from Ebina, west of Tokyo, the 24-year-old had been living in Dundalk, Co. Louth, where he worked in a call centre.

Hundreds of people gathered for a candlelit vigil in Market Square in the town last night in memory of Yosuke.

A heartbreaking statement was issued by the Japanese embassy on behalf of the Sasaki family:

"We would like to express our sincere gratitude for the kindness the people of Ireland have shown.

"When he was alive, our son spoke about the warmth of the people of this town and his love of Dundalk.

"He came to Ireland initially as a language student and only intended a short stay. However, he was touched by the kindness of the Irish people, and he decided to work here.

"As a family, we are truly saddened by what has happened, but we hope that this incident will not give Japanese people a bad impression of Ireland.

"We would like to give our heartfelt thanks to the ambulance personnel, the Gardaí, National Pen Limited, Mr Oliver Morgan who set up the GoFundMe page, the staff of the Embassy of Japan, and the members of Louth County Council who organised tonight’s candlelight vigil.

"Finally, we hope that a tragic event like this one will never happen in this country again.

Whether by choice or dietary necessity, the gluten-free food trend has gained a lot of momentum over the past few years and pretty much everyone and their mother has jumped on the bandwagon.

However, it now seems that one of the world's most popular diets may not be all it's cracked up to be.

According to experts at Monash University in Australia, the only people who should be avoiding gluten are those with a medically diagnosed intolerance.

Suzanna Mahady, a gastroenterologist and senior lecturer at the university says there is no scientific evidence to support the claim that gluten-free foods are a healthier alternative.

“For people without coeliac disease, there’s no evidence to support claims a strict gluten-free diet is beneficial for health,” she writes for The Conversation

“It’s even possible the opposite is true, and the avoidance of dietary whole grains resulting in a low fibre intake may be detrimental.”

Research has shown that consuming wheat fibre can actually provide you with additional protection against cardiovascular disease.

One such study, which assessed its subjects over a 26 year period, found that “the avoidance of gluten may result in reduced consumption of beneficial whole grains, which may affect cardiovascular risk,” due to the dwindling levels of triglycerides in your blood.

Long story short, gluten isn't as scary as the health food industry has made it sound.

Global retailer, H&M, have pulled a garment from their product line following widespread backlash this week.

The controversy surrounds the retailer's decision to use a black child to model a hoody emblazoned with the slogan 'Coolest Monkey in the Jungle'.

Responding to the criticism, H&M made the decision to remove the image from their website, and issued an apology which outlined their plan to pull the garment from their line.

"We are deeply sorry that the picture was taken, and we also regret the actual print,” read the statement. “Therefore, we have not only removed the image from our channels, but also the garment from our product offering globally.”

According to The Irish Times, the retailer is launching an investigation into the origin of the print and its subsequent advertisement.

“It is obvious that our routines have not been followed properly. This is without any doubt,” the company said. “We will thoroughly investigate why this happened to prevent this type of mistake from happening again."

Rapper, The Weeknd, was among those incensed by the garment's racial undertones, tweeting that he was offended by the image and would not engage with H&M on a professional level in the future.

"Woke up this morning shocked and embarrassed by this photo. i’m deeply offended and will not be working with @hm anymore…" he wrote in a tweet which has amassed more than 200,000 likes since yesterday.

Emotions ran high on Celebrity Big Brother last night as Shane Lynch spoke fondly of his former Boyzone bandmate, Stephen Gately.

In a conversation with his fellow CBB housemates, Shane admitted that the late star still has a huge influence on the band's music, saying how there will “always be five” members of the group.

Stephen died of natural causes while holidaying in Majorca in 2009. He was just 33-years-old.

He went on to describe himself as “the wingman, not the singman”, telling US singer Ginuwine how Stephen and Ronan usually took the leads.

“One of our bandmates, he died. It was '09 he died. And he was one of the leads too,” he explained.

“He was 33 when he died. When that happened, we were in the middle of making a new album. And at that point we were like, 'What do we do? Do we call it a day? Is there no more Boyzone? Is that it?'”

“But every time we got together as a group, the four of us came together, it was very apparent that he was alive, when we came together.”

“Because that was our bubble. He's so there. So we'll always be five, regardless of visually what you see. He will always be there.”

Shane's touching words struck a chord with viewers, many of whom took to Twitter to pay tribute to Stephen Gately eight years after this untimely death.

Lena Dunham and Jack Antonoff have split after almost six years together.

According to reports, the couple mutually decided to go their separate ways in December 2017 after they realised they were “growing apart.”

A source told E! News: “It was mutual. Jack and Lena were growing apart and it just made sense for them to end their relationship where it was.”

“They want the best for each other no matter what. They are both moving on.”

The pair met on a blind date set up by Jack's sister in 2012 and the attraction was instantaneous.

The Girls creator and Bleachers frontman moved in together shortly after, telling PEOPLE that their living situation was “pretty normal in terms of everyday life” and admitted that the biggest struggle was “trying to find something new and exciting for dinner.”

The former couple were never engaged to be married, despite a number of rumours throughout their relationship, and Lena admitted that she enjoyed the lack of pressure.

“I am not against marriage in any way, but I do like the fact that Jack and I have placed zero pressure on ourselves about it,’ she said in February 2017.

“I have friends who have met someone, married them and got divorced during the period of time that Jack and I have been dating. We are as close as you can get to a pair of 100-year-old people. Every night we go home, walk our dogs, put them into their crates, take melatonin, watch 20 minutes of TV, then we go to sleep. It is the schedule of ancient, ancient people.”

Meanwhile, Lena has been criticised of 'jumping on the Time's Up bandwagon', after actress Tess Thompson accused the star of not being present during the “countless hours of work” that went into the new anti-harassment campaign.

India's highest court has pledged to re-visit its earlier decision to uphold Section 377, a colonial-era law that makes homosexuality punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

It comes after a petition filed by five people called on the legislators to reconsider their decision.

India's chief justice Dipak Misra and three other judges say a larger group of judges is now expected to take part in the discussions this time around.

"We think it appropriate to send this issue to a larger bench. What is natural to one may not be natural to others," the judges said.

Gay rights activists remain hopeful that the court will decriminalise acts of homosexuality.

While the Hindu nationalist party-led government are said to be in no hurry to change the law, it's understood that the question will be put to a larger bench for examination before October 2018.

Less than 200 Indians are convicted under Section 377 each year, but activists claim that the law is often used to intimidate members of the LGBTQ community.

The news has been welcomed to by activists across the globe with  Anand Grover, a lawyer representing the five petitioners, telling Reuters, "It is a big relief and a primary step taken by the Supreme Court to review its earlier order."
