If ever there was a time to celebrate the wonder that is Ryanir, it's today, ladies.

In an effort to uplift the spirit of our good nation on the most depressing day of the year, Ryanair have announced a sale, but you've got to act fast because it ends at midnight.

Taking to Twitter moments ago, they wrote: "Forget #BlueMonday. We’ve launched a Blue & Yellow Monday sale. Fly from €9.99 & banish the blues."

Commenting on the offer, Ryanair’s Robin Kiely reminded the public if they want in on a spur-of-the-moment holiday, they need to get booking pronto.

"These sale seats are on sale until midnight tonight, Monday, so customers should log on to the Ryanair.com website and banish the winter blues by booking a bargain getaway today.”

Ladies, we know what we're doing at lunchtime.

After winning Celebrity Big Brother last year, Scotty T probably has a better idea than most what it takes to navigate the minefield that is the long-running reality TV show.

But by the sounds of things, Scotty hasn't let his Geordie Shore co-star, Chloe Ferry, in on the deets on that one.

Commenting on 21-year-old Chloe's performance in the infamous house in recent days, Scotty has been far from complimentary.

Speaking to The Sun, the 28-year-old acknowledged the other contestants' inability to get on Chloe's wavelength, and even suggested that the star's drunken behaviour may get her in trouble.

"No one really can understand her banter honestly man, she’s literally… when she gets drunk, she’s just sheer evil," he claimed.

And he didn't stop there.

Alluding to the Geordie girl's intellect, he added: "She’d probably won’t even realise she’s been in the house, man. She’s that thick."

Well, good to know Chloe has the support of her Geordie 'family'…

Another day, another gorgeous new hair trend worth obsessing over.

Our latest discovery comes in the form of cotton candy coloured hair, and it is just delightful.

It kind of reminds us of the unicorn hair trend that people went crazy for last year, but it's a little but sweeter (pun intended!)

The look involves bleaching the hair white, and then adding a pastel wash to the hair to create the gorgeous cotton candy colour.

While typically pink is the go-to for this look, people have used gorgeous purples, blues and greens also.

While we do recomend that you get the look done professionally, there are some fantastic home-dyes that will leave you with the sweetest hair ever.

Bleach London offer super cool semi-permanent colours, our favourite one being rosé, and they won't break the bank.

Alternatively, Manic Panic have a semi permanent dye that is actually called Cotton Candy, and it is fabulous!

We really love this gorgeous hair trend!

All cat lovers know that their feline companion is the smartest thing on the whole damn planet.

So what if it ignored you for a week or scratched the face off you last weekend? That cat knows what it wants, and – like all the greats –  isn't afraid to show it.

But if you're just not that into cats, it can be difficult to understand why cat owners are so impressed by the creatures which slink around their home acting like they run the place.

So, if you need a little help understanding exactly why so many of us are in awe of them, look no further than footage which was uploaded to Cats of Instagram over the weekend.

With over 868,000 views, the wider world can't get enough of this lad who could open his own attraction in Vegas.

We'll let Snow take it form here…

Ladies, there are some things you just don't know you need until they burst into your life, and you suddenly find yourself wondering how you ever survived without them.

Dry shampoo, we're looking at you.

And as an office of wine-lovers here at SHEmazing! HQ, we admit we're absolutely intrigued by a mail-order British company which has created a wine bottle which allows you to receive your vino stash right through your letterbox.

The bottles supplied by Garcon Wines are flat and made from glass-like plastic which means they can be delivered straight into your hallway, and no one has to spend hours queuing at a postal depot after missing the postman by mere seconds.

Commenting on the creation, founder, Joe Revell, said: "The team have worked hard to refine the design and ensure the service overdelivers on our customers' expectations."

"No more missed deliveries, no more depot-collection cards, no more waiting around for couriers and no more heading out to the supermarket late at night next time you feel like wine."

Ladies, the future is now.

Puppies and kittens are old news ladies, because we all of a sudden NEED a pet otter in our lives.

We came to this conclusion after we spent at least 2 hours stalking the adorable Takechiyo on Instagram.

HOWEVER, we can totally understand his popularity, as he is the grooviest little guy ever.

Just look at his cheeky little grin!

The best part of this fantastic Instagram account are the videos of little Takechiyo eating, and the glorious munching sounds he makes.

CAN YOU COPE?

Today is supposed to be the most depressing day of the year, but it doesn’t have to be.

With the glitz and glam of Christmas officially behind us and looming credit card bills on the horizon, it's no surprise may of us feel disheartened at this time of the year.

But cheer up, today doesn’t have to be the most depressing day of YOUR year.

Get out there and do something fun. Here are 10 ways to beat those blues:

1. Watch your favourite TV show

Yes, trying to cram in the entire eight seasons is fine.

2.  Plan a holiday

Sun, sea and sand; just thinking about it is relaxing. Booking that trip in advance will give you something to look forward to.

3.  Meet up with friends

Having a good chat with your favourite people is always sure to make you feel good, so organise a catch up and go have some fun.

4.  Watch your favourite movie

So what if you’ve watched it 900 million times already, just stick it on!

5.  Eat your favourite food

Whether it be take-away, junk food or you fancy whisking something up, eating our favourite foods releases feel-good hormones – so it’s really win-win.

6. Go for a walk

Sometimes getting some fresh air can really lift our mood. Going for a walk in the park, along the beach or around the block will help blow the cobwebs away.

7.  Make a list of all the things you want to do this year

Brain dumping onto paper can really help put things into perspective. So, if you’ve been planning on taking a course, going travelling, changing job or just paying off that credit card bill, write it down, it will make you feel so much better.

8.  Have a pamper day

If you can’t afford a spa day, why not put all those lovely bath sets you got for Christmas to good use, stay at home and perform your own pamper-sesh? There's a lot to be said for the healing power of a bubble bath, facial and mini mani, so treat yourself tonight.

9.  Dance around the house to your favourite song

Listening to our favourite tunes can make us feel good instantly. Stick it on, dance around and practice your air guitar in comfort.

10.  Call your mum

The one person who always knows what to say, no matter what.

Shocking and all as it is to some of us of a certain vintage, 1997 was twenty whole years ago.

That's right ladies; you're old.

And while there are certain things we're more than happy to leave in the past (rip-off Adidas tracksuit bottoms, platform trainers and butterfly clips to name but three), there's no denying that the charts at the time were hopping with absolute stompers.

If you were an absolute pop addict, 1997 was the year for you. From All Saints and Oasis to Aqua and Boyzone, 1997 was the year that just kept on giving.

And if you still need a little convincing, look no further than this absolute gem of a compilation.

Racking up 42,000 likes and 64,000 shares, POPline's tribute to 1997 has us longing for the days our bedrooms were adorned with Spice Girls posters and our angsty older siblings blared Oasis, and insisted the world was against them.

1997, we salute you.

We can accept the need for face contouring, but nail contouring just seems a tad excessive.

Apparently, this method of nail painting will make your claws look longer… which in fairness it does.

However, while you nails will appear longer, it just seems like a bit too much effort.

Pro nail technician Jin Soon Choi used this contouring technique backstage at Vera Wang’s SS17 show, and people LOVED it.

To achieve this look, you simply apply a base coat, and then add a sweep of coloured polish down the centre of your nail, leaving the edges clear.

While we cannot deny that these nails look slightly longer, we also think they just sort of appear unfinished.

You missed a spot lads.

So, tickets to the most talked-about gig of the year have officially sold out, and Twitter, is, unsurprisingly, far from happy about it.

Thousands of U2 fans, who hoped to see the band perform in Croke Park this July, have taken to social media to voice their disappointment over their inability to secure tickets this morning.

From holding out hope that a second date will be added to venting frustration over the cost of tickets, the band's Irish fans are raging this morning.

We'll let them take it from here.

We’re in denial that Christmas is over, we’ve got the post party season bloat, and all of a sudden it’s bloody freezing.

Yep, there’s no doubt that January is the crappiest month of the year.  *shakes fist angrily at January*

And because we care for your welfare during this difficult time, we’re here to get you through it with our life-saving tips:

1. Make your New Year’s resolution a fun one

Who says your resolution has to be all pain and self-flagellation? Nah, we say set yourself a fun resolution, like getting through the whole series of The Sopranos or deciding you’re going to bake one extremely ambitious cake each week. Sure stick to it, and you’ll be onto the croquembouches before you know it.

2. Shake your booty

If the thought of spending January sweating it out on a treadmill makes you want to cry salty tears of anguish, try a fun dance class instead. Aerial hoops in particular is a brilliant way to build strength and fitness, it’s great craic, and you get to feel like a circus performer.

3. Plan a pampering January trip

Heading off in January, even for a weekend is a no-brainer. It breaks up the looong (God it’s long) month and gives you something to look forward to. And even better, it’s the time of year when you get the best deals. Like the super gorge Powerscourt Hotel Resort & Spa, which has an amazing midweek offer of dinner, bed and brekkie and 20% off ESPA treatments. This beautiful five-star resort and spa is the perfect fix for a dreary and dull January.

4. Mind your head

If you’re feeling particularly low, it could be more than just a passing hatred of the meh month. SAD or Seasonal Affective Disorder is a kind of depression that happens in winter due to the cold and the darkness, and can leave you feeling properly miserable. Chat to your doc if you think you might have it – the struggle is real and it’s not something you should just write off as a dose of blues.

5. Set yourself an Insta challenge

Smashing a goal makes you feel a bit like Leo in Titanic when he’s declaring his reign over the world. Using January as the month to set yourself a challenge will keep you occupied for the month, and if it’s on Instagram, you’ll feel more accountable. So try a photo challenge like taking the 30 day #happychallenge, where you snap something that makes you happy each day, or a month-long yoga challenge.

6. Make your home a cosy haven

If your living space is messy and cluttered, you’re not exactly going to feel great now are ya? Chances are you’ll be spending a good bit of time in your gaff throughout January, so create the ultimate Netflix-watching environment by decluttering, tidying, and covering the living room in cosy blankets, cushions and candles. Basically, you want to get home at the end of the day and say, “Aaaah”.

If you regularly devour half a chipper before starting in on the contents of the fridge after a night on the booze, it's because… well… you're totally normal.

According to a recent study by the Francis Crick Institute in London, the consumption of alcohol activates a hormone in our brains which is directly linked to appetite.

Using mice as part of their exploration of the theory, researchers injected the creatures with alcohol once a day for three days – a measure which was the human equivalent of two bottles of wine or ten beers.

Researchers quickly realised that the mice which had, essentially, gotten tanked up consumed 25 per cent more food than the sober control group.

Further to this, researchers established that agouti-related protein (AgRP) neurons – proteins linked to their food cycles – experienced an increase in the amount of electrical activity following alcohol consumption.

So, the next time you hoof into the entire kitchen after a night on the beer, console yourself that your body is doing exactly what it should be.

Ahem.
