Now, when Twilight was the hot topic back in 2008, it's safe to say that we saw a good few vampire-inspired couples about the place.

But this woman from Australia claims to be a real-life vampire, and sucks her boyfriend's blood…

For the past twenty years Georgia Condon has ventured away from the sunlight and into the darkness as she has a blood disorder called thalassemia, and due to her anemia and low iron levels, Georgia says she needs blood to get by on a weekly basis.

The make-up artist claims that she first got a taste for blood at the age of 12, and now, 27 years later, says it's as enjoyable as sex.

Speaking to the Mail Online, the 39-year-old said: "I would put them on par. It is mainly arousal and joy. There is a reason that most vampire shows combine the two. It is a form of high that can't be exactly described.

"It is not daily as that would be far too much a burden on his body, leading to way too many wounds. I try on a weekly basis but it is hard on him and we don't have a set time such as 'dinner time' that would be strange. "

Emmm.. yep.

She added: "He sacrifices to give me what I want from time to time. He believes in monogamy so it's a form of intimacy."

Gardaí in Co Kildare have released further information on an attack which resulted in the hospitalisation of an 18-year-old NUI Maynooth student on Sunday night.

Kym Owens from Castleblayney was making her way to her accommodation in the Moyglare Abbey estate when she was seriously assaulted.

Appealing to potential witnesses to come forward with any information they may have pertaining to Kym's attack, Supt. Gerry Wall offered further details which may help to jog the public's memory.

"The assault took place between 8.15pm and 8.30pm on Sunday, November 20," he explained. "The road was well lit and this is a private estate but on that night there were very foggy conditions that reduced visibility."

Supt. Wall explained that the first year Arts student had arrived back to the university town from her home town on the A2B bus service just minutes before the incident took place.

"Kym made her way from Maynooth town after she got off the bus which is about a kilometre from here Moyglare Abbey estate and travelled up here."

“She was within 500 meters of her digs when she was seriously assaulted and left unconscious on the footpath here behind me."

"Did you get on or off that bus? Did you arrive on that bus that evening or were you in the Maynooth area?" Supt Wall asked.  “Were you in the Moyglare Estate area between 7pm and 9pm? Did you see anything suspicious?"

Kym, who has been described as 5’3 in height with long brown hair, was wearing a dark green coat over a red hoodie with black jeans and white converse runners and carrying a distinctive yellow and green bag with the word ‘Castleblayney’ written on it at the time of the assault.

It has been established that Gardaí patrols have increased in the university town since Sunday night's incident while Kym remains in a stable but serious condition in Blanchardstown Hospital.

Anybody with any information is asked to contact the incident room at Leixlip Garda Station on 016667800, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666111 or any Garda station.

It looks like Lauren Goodger is ready to start a family!

The TOWIE babe is reportedly keen to have a little one with her new boyfriend, who is currently serving a 17-year prison sentence.

Rumours broke back in September that Lauren was in a relationship with Joey Morrison, who is a convicted burglar and drug dealer.

At the time, Lauren spoke out about the rumours, saying that she has been friends with Joey "for years," but the romantic relationship only began recently.

According to Closer, an insider said: "Lauren has been visiting Joey in prison every other week and she's told her friends that he makes her feel really special.

"She hasn't spoken to him about whether they can start a proper relationship when he gets out, but she gets the impression he feels the same way about her.

"She's heard he's due for early release next year and she'd love to give things a proper go then. Lauren's extremely broody and she's been making jokes about how beautiful their children would be.

"She'd love to have a baby with him because she's never been this happy with anyone else before," the insider added.

With countless X Factor viewers fuming over the fact aspiring rapper, Honey G, is still in the running to win this year's show, Simon Cowell has weighed in on the controversy.

Responding to criticism that the judging panel voted for Honey G over Ryan Lawrie in order to create further buzz around the show's novelty act last weekend, the music mogul insisted that the judge's decision had nothing to do with favouritism.

In fact, Simon appeared to suggest that when it comes to voting acts off, the four-strong judging panel are actually playing the long-game.

"You know what, you have to make a call in the moment," Simon explained.

"And I think, if we’re being honest with each other, watching the show last night, I can see a clear… three or four people who’ve got a real shot."

Suggesting that Ryan didn't have what it takes to make it to the final, Simon continued: ""I don’t think Ryan would have gone further."

"We do the sing-off to see A) who’s best and B) who wants it the most. Whatever you do, you’re gonna be unpopular."

But if you think Simon sees Honey G wearing the X Factor crown this year, you'd be wrong.

Like the rest of us, he doesn't imagine Honey G will clinch it despite her success thus far.

"But the truth is, unless Honey performs a miracle, she’s not gonna win this show. I don’t think she can."

Tell that to Ryan, Simon.

He left hearts breaking after his appearance at the AMAs this weekend, and let's not even talk about that Zayn handshake…

But after all the lights and cameras were off him, it looks like Niall Horan had a little rendezvous with his former flame.

The singer headed out to a gig in LA with Jessica Serfaty, who caused major controversy earlier this year when it was alleged she ditched her 7-year-old son to hang out with the famous Directioner.

The pair dressed casual as they went from the gig into Naill's car and it is presumed they kept the party going on elsewhere.

The rumoured couple were first linked together back in March, and after they were spotted in the US together numerous times, Jessica's ex-husband blasted her in the media.

He said: "She doesn't see Roman as regularly as you'd like to hear. So she sees Roman six weeks out of every year and some Christmases. Last Christmas she didn't see him.

"She's probably not thinking about us. When I see she dated Joe Jonas or Niall I'm just indifferent. I don't feel good or bad it's pure indifference. It doesn't matter to me.

"What matters to me is what she does when she has Roman for those six weeks and that she's a good mother to him then."

Vicky Pattison has responded to claims which suggest she heavily edits her social media posts to make herself appear slimmer than she really is.

The former Geordie Shore star faced criticism this week after The Mirror published a series of unflattering photos of her smoking on an Australian beach in which she appears far less toned than she does in images on her Instagram account which were taken on the same day.

Speaking to The Sun, the 29-year-old television personality revealed that a newfound sense of body security is all that prevented her from being “floored” by the allegations.

“Bodyshaming makes me sick,” she said.  “It’s because I’m so secure and focused on more important things right now, that this latest critique of my body hasn’t floored me entirely like they normally do.”

“When are people going to get tired of making women feel bad for the way they look?” asked Vicky.

“I am appalled that people would criticise another woman, body shame her and attempt to shatter her confidence based solely on a bad camera angle or an unflattering picture.”

The fiery Newcastle native went on to question why society feels it is more important to “shame” women for their appearances than it is to celebrate their ambitions, positive attitudes and career achievements.

“Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes and I’m healthy, happy and enjoying my life,” she stated.  “I genuinely believe in inner beauty and that we rise by lifting and supporting others.”

It's been 12 years since the last episode of Friends aired and a staggering 22 years since it first hit our TV screens, and yet it remains a steadfast favourite among millions.

While some sitcoms are incredibly quick to date, there's just something about Friends which makes it as relevant today as it was in the mid 90s, isn't there?

And while we still sing along to its iconic theme tune and get a frission of comfort from its title sequence, it seems there are six particular people who weren't as impressed by the show's lead-in.

Opening up about the programme which catapulted her into super-stardom, Jennifer Aniston revealed that she and her five co-stars weren't exactly bowled over by requests to dance in a fountain.

Speaking on The One Show recently, Jennifer said: "We felt it was a little… I don't know. Dancing in a pond? A fountain felt sort of odd."

The star, whose hairstyle during Friends revolutionised salon trips, admitted they agreed simply because they didn't have a say in the matter, confessing: "We did it because we were told to."

And while the idea of waltzing around a fountain for the heck of it didn't exactly appeal, there's no doubting Jennifer holds her decade on the show in very high regard.

Confessing to watching re-runs of the show, Jennifer told host Alex Jones: "I can't help it."

"First, I'm trying to remember which episode it is, and then half the time I'm saying to myself, 'I don't remember that,' You get sucked into the nostalgia of it."

We're with you on that one, Jen.

Amber Heard is being sued for $10m for allegedly sabotaging her new movie, London Fields.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, producers of the movie feel that she has "caused substantial harm to the picture."

The lawsuit reads: "Heard's conspiracy, her campaign against the picture, and her contractual breaches have damaged the picture, causing substantial harm to the plaintiff, the picture, and the picture's investors."

It also accuses the actress of refusing to do any promotional duties, which includes missing the premiere of the film, as well as refusing to take part in scenes that she was contracted to do.

"As a result of Heard's refusal to comply with her contractual obligations – including her improper refusal to act in provocative scenes contained in the pre-approved script – key scenes in the script had to be removed and/or rewritten to accommodate Heard's behaviour."

Amber stars alongside Cara Delevingne and Billy Bob Thornton, and her former hubby, Johnny Depp also makes a cameo appearance in the new flick.

Beyoncé's popular Ivy Park sportswear line recently dropped its Autumn/Winter collection, and who better to show off the new threads than the woman herself?

The 35-year-old opted to model her new line in a series of recently released photos.

Posing over a floor mounted mirror, Queen Bey modelled various pieces of the collection, including new crop tops, leggings and jackets.

"I realised that there wasn't really an athletic brand for women like myself or my dancers or friends. Nothing aspirational for girls like my daughter."

"I was so specific about the things I feel I need in a garment as a curvy woman, and just as a woman in general, so you feel safe and covered but also sexy."

"Everything lifts and sucks in your waist and enhances the female form," she said.

The Ivy Park line has faced some controversy since its launch, with the athletic wear brands factories being likened to "sweat shops."

Ivy Park vehemently denied the allegations at the time. The new collection is available now from Topshop.

Whether you're going in to do your weekly shop, or just fancy a trip under the Christmas lights of Dublin, then Luas is going to be your number one man this Sunday.

Yep, you can ride for free all day long, but there's one very specific rule – you have to wear a Christmas jumper.

With just about a month to go until the big day, the travel bosses are feeling festive and want to try and pull off a world record.

To have the most amount of people in one place wearing a festive sweater is no easy feat, but they did it last year, and want to make 2016 even bigger.

The record attempt will take place on O'Connell Street at 4pm on Sunday, November 27, but if you can't make that, getting to travel around the city for free is a nice bonus.

By the end of this week, we will have successfully ploughed through the upcoming episodes of Gilmore Girls and will almost certainly be back hunting for our next Netflix feast.

With this grim prediction in mind, we were delighted to come across the first trailer for the site’s Barack Obama biopic, Barry, which is due for release in mid-December.

Set in the Autumn of 1981, Barry tracks Obama’s junior year at Columbia University as the future 44th President of the United States grapples with many of the same social challenges he went on to face in office.

With the trailer suggesting Obama’s diverse ethnic background “makes him American”, Barry appears to offer a refreshing contrast of opinion to those expressed by the new President-elect on his journey to the White House.

Barry premieres on Netflix December 16.
