body shamers

Having a baby is hard enough, without people passing judgement on your body.

That's why Victoria Secret, Candice Swanepoel was having none of the people who were shaming her postpartum body.

Taking to Instagram stories the model penned how people need to 'check' themselves if they have a problem with her body.

Candice captioned the beach bikini snap:

"This is me 12 days after having my son. If you have something bad to say about it… Check yourself."

"Society can be so cruel to one another. Beauty standards are sometimes impossible for women these days. I am not ashamed to show my post-partum tummy, I am proud actually. I carried my son for nine months in there, I think I've earned the right to have a little tummy."

"Is it because I am a model? Well, we are normal people too so let me enjoy the beach in peace please," she concluded.

Posting another photo of her heavily pregnant, the model said:

"I don't have to hide my stomach just because people have unrealistic standards of women. We create life. What can you do?"

"Ladies we are all in this together, be kind to each other," she added.

The Super Bowl half time show is a massive gig, and this year Lady Gaga took the reigns and entertained a crowd of 111.3 million people watching online, at home and in the stadium.

The singer put on a spectacular 12 minute performance, with pyrotechnics, synchronised dance troops and, of course, costume changes.

Since the Super Bowl aired, Twitter and Instagram has been buzzing with comments about one of Lady G's outfits in particular.

The singer rocked a pair of sparkly hot pants and a white structured crop top during an epic rendition of Bad Romance, which showcased her athletic physique.

Rather than focusing on her killer performance, online body shamers were focusing on something entirely different.

Twitter users took to the social media platform to slander and ridicule the star for having a tiny layer of fat on her stomach.

Users slated the star for daring to show a stomach which they felt was less than perfect, and ever suggested that the star should have done more crunches to tackle her "flabby belly" ahead of the performance.

Thankfully the avalanche of hate was drowned out by the out cry of Gaga fans and body positive people.

"Yall are talking about Lady Gaga's 'gut' & that is the reason women have eating disorders & never f****** feel like they're good enough," commented one user.

Lady Gaga jumped off the ROOF of the Super Bowl stadium and all people can talk about is her 'gut?' tweeted another.

Mother Monster is being praised online for showing a normal and "real" body type, and by anyones standards Gaga has a healthy, toned and athletic body.

Those trolls have got some major issues if they think Lady Gaga is overweight.

Alanna Masterson made her return to The Walking Dead last Sunday, and the episode was based solely on her character, Tara, and her adventures since last season.

She absolutely killed the episode, doing the fight sequences and stunts herself – and that's after having a baby!

Dear Instagram trolls, body shamers, and the men and woman who think it's ok to comment on my weight: I hope that you don't have children. And if you do, I hope you teach them about kindness and acceptance. I hope they learn that it isn't ok to make fun of people or call people names. I hope one day YOU learn what it takes to be a parent. A kind, selfless parent. A working parent. A parent that puts themselves in someone else's shoes. Maybe you can't get it through your thick fucking skull, but nursing a baby for a year (and pumping in a van between takes, in the dead of summer in Georgia) is a lot of work, determination, and scheduling. So before you decide to make a comment about my chest being "too large" or how "fat" I've become, just know that this little girl got the best start to life. I wouldn't have changed it for a second. I would've gladly continued to eat enough calories to produce milk for her little bones to grow. Also, grow the fuck up. Your mother should be ashamed for raising such a judgmental bully. I'm sure she knows how "courageous" you must be for trolling and hiding behind your Iphone and computers. P.s. I would LOVE to see any man or woman give birth to a baby, nurse the baby, and then work 17 hour days and NAIL their own stunts. P.s.s. Be kind to each other. We need it now more than ever.

On The Talking Dead, the follow-up show, Alanna revealed that while she was shooting the episode, she was also breastfeeding her baby girl in the dead heat of summer.

But that didn't stop trolls from commenting on her weight.

She was heavily shamed for her appearance, but decided that she wasn't going to put up with it, and took to Instagram to write a slamming post to the body trolls.

Vicky Pattison has responded to claims which suggest she heavily edits her social media posts to make herself appear slimmer than she really is.

The former Geordie Shore star faced criticism this week after The Mirror published a series of unflattering photos of her smoking on an Australian beach in which she appears far less toned than she does in images on her Instagram account which were taken on the same day.

Speaking to The Sun, the 29-year-old television personality revealed that a newfound sense of body security is all that prevented her from being “floored” by the allegations.

“Bodyshaming makes me sick,” she said.  “It’s because I’m so secure and focused on more important things right now, that this latest critique of my body hasn’t floored me entirely like they normally do.”

“When are people going to get tired of making women feel bad for the way they look?” asked Vicky.

“I am appalled that people would criticise another woman, body shame her and attempt to shatter her confidence based solely on a bad camera angle or an unflattering picture.”

The fiery Newcastle native went on to question why society feels it is more important to “shame” women for their appearances than it is to celebrate their ambitions, positive attitudes and career achievements.

“Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes and I’m healthy, happy and enjoying my life,” she stated.  “I genuinely believe in inner beauty and that we rise by lifting and supporting others.”

Earlier this week Modern Family star Ariel Winter posted a picture from her high school graduation party to Instagram which garnered a whole host of reactions online – mainly because of her outfit of choice.

In the pic the teen star can be seen wearing a nude coloured bandage dress with a sizeable cut-out beneath her boobs, in a clear nod to the new underboob trend.

The post received a whole lot of abuse but thankfully this doesn’t seem to bother Ariel who took to Twitter last night to tell her haters where to go.

Couldn't be more grateful to @shanelle_gray & @davidbarrygray for throwing me the most amazing graduation party ever last night…the amount of love and support they've shown me for the past four years has been life changing. My sister is my absolute best friend and my everything… Thank you so much. I couldn't be luckier or more grateful. I was in awe last night and I still am that you guys love me that much to do all of that for me…I never would be where I am today without you two…you guys saved me and taught me to be the person I am today. Dad…I love you!!! Thank you for always being there to support and love me as well and always put a smile on my face no matter what :). I'm so grateful for the bond we now share. Alenah the song you put together with Shanelle and recorded for me was one of the most special gifts I've ever received. I'm still tearing up thinking about it. Thank you for that and for your beautiful, special performance. Also a big thank you so much to Geraldine for putting it all together and to @contemporarycatering @robpauerful for the most amazing food! A special thank you as well to Sharon who is probably the biggest reason I was able to get through high school and accepted into college…you pushed me to always do my best and encouraged me…not to mention you were always there for my 1am freak outs about late projects 🙂 Anddddd thank you SO MUCH to all of my amazing family members and friends that flew in to celebrate with us- you guys are the absolute best. Thank you also to the ones who didn't have to fly in…so much love was felt all around last night. Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!! Class of 2016… #uclabound

She wrote: “Dear sorry body-shamers, I looked HOT in that dress.  And if you hate it, don’t buy it.  But please get a hobby.  XOXO Ariel #EmbraceYourBody.”

The post was quickly followed by another tweet, this time with a picture of the actress posing in a mirror attached.

It was captioned: “Embrace all that you are.  Don’t let those outside voices become your inner voice.”

Again she chose body positive tags: #mychoice #loveyourcurves.

Ariel underwent breast reduction surgery earlier this year after suffering years of back pain.

At the time she told Glamour magazine she’s feeling better about herself than ever before and loves the freedom she has to dress however she wants.

And by the looks of those tweets, she’s not going to let anyone stop her from doing just that.

Serena Williams is winning at literally everything. Not only has she won Wimbledon for the SIXTH time, she has also won all four grand slams in the same year for the FOURTH time.

AND she is smokin’ hot to boot.

But, as with everything in life (and on the internet) if you rise, certain people will be there to try and bring you down.

Thankfully, Ms Williams is not letting her haters phase her one little bit. The tennis superstar has taken to Instagram and shown off her bangin’ body and cool attitude.

Posting a photo wearing a bikini, Serena captioned it, “Beach day in Sweden #SerenaSlam #renasarmy.”

However, she has apparently let a few of her critics comments get to her as under their instruction, she went and got her eyebrows shaped.

Lol finally getting them shaped! Hahahha #haters I love you!!! Hahah but I still like them all natural! But for now you win lol

“Lol finally getting them shaped! Hahahha #haters I love you!!! Hahah but I still like them natural” But for now you win lol.”

The fans are also definitely on Serena’s side, with one user writing, “When you are the best you can wear your eyebrows shaved like the middle finger if you want #winner.”

We couldn’t have said it better ourselves!

And it’s not only fans that have got the 33-year-old’s back. JK Rowling took to Twitter to defend the star by hilariously shutting down some of her critics.

The moral of the story is, despite whatever you may think about Serena Williams, she is absolutely nailing life.
