The Mirror reported this week that Ellie Goulding and Dougie Poynter are back together after they were spotted out food shopping together on Friday night.

But adding fuel to the fire, Ellie Goulding has sparked more rumours of a reconciliation as she has shared a loving snap on Instagram of her beau today.

Ellie posted the pic of Dougie walking his first runway, and congratulated him in the caption. 

"Congratulations on your first walk @idougahole this is incredible," and hastagged it, #nextbigthing.

This comes after reports they might be getting back together since Dougie wished Ellie happy birthday in late December on social media.

"Happy birthday to this very special/red lady," he wrote. 

We LOVE this two together so fingers crossed everything is back on track.

While we all enjoy letting a professional make-up artist work their magic on our faces, we are not very keen on ANYone else applying our war paint. Get us?

So that's why this Irish beauty vlogger was very brave to let her dad do her make-up for her.

He kind of went for a strong lip… and strong brows… and strong eyes, OK, let's just say the whole look is very strong.

While we got such a laugh from the video, we doubt very much we'll be letting our dads try this at home!

This week, a Sky News reporter referred to Saoirse Ronan as British and "one of ours."

Now, of course, many people took to social media to share their anger that Saoirse, is indeed Irish, and no, you can't claim her.

RTÉ even got involved, calling out the reporter, Richard Suchet, on what he said.

But Richard hit back at the irritated tweets and revealed, to many surprised users, that he didn't misspeak.

And it didn't end there. Richard really seemed like he wanted to start something:

We have to admit that Gordon Ramsay's cooking shows can be a bit of a guilty pleasure, but sometimes we even feel like giving him a little nudge to shut up.

Well, on this week's The Jonathan Ross Show, Ellie Goulding did what we've all (sometimes) wanted to do and punched Mr Ramsay.

Ellie repeatedly said she didn't want to hurt Jonathan at first, and he joked, "watch my face," thinking she wasn't up to the challenge.

Oh, did she show them wrong.

If you rely on the LUAS to get to and from work everyday, it seems you may find yourself in a spot of bother in the upcoming weeks.

A representative of LUAS said that the drivers have voted in favour of strike action and 24 to 48-hour stoppages are "quite likely."

221 out of 223 LUAS employees who took part in a Siptu ballot following a pay dispute with Transdev, and they have voted for industrial action, but the union will need 21 days notice if they choose to do so.

Drivers are seeking a 40 percent increase to their wages, like heavy rail drivers for Irish Rail.

Speaking to RTÉ's DriveTime, Siptu organiser Owen Reidy said discussions on the matter will begin next week.

“I anticipate that given the result and the fact that it is emphatic that there will be a lot of frustration, and the ballot can allow us to do 24 and 48 hour stoppages,” Owen said.

He also mentioned that the union had been talking to management for over 18 months but they had been “getting nowhere”.

Well, if anyone watches Keeping Up With The Kardashians, you know that Jonathan Cheban has started a nasty fight or two (or ten) in his time.

So, it really is no wonder the Kim K's BFF is causing a stir in the BB house and has threatened to leave, already.

Shocked by having to make his own coffee and toast, Jonathan decided the Big Brother house wasn't for him and wanted to leave; only to have an hour-long chat with the Brother himself.

And after that marathon talk, BB persuaded him to stay. But, that doesn't mean viewers were very happy about it.

Fans flocked to Twitter to share their theories about Jonathan, and we have to guess that one or two of them may be true:

Sometimes we feel like the TV soaps are #real and it's a big no-no for any soap to cross paths, and especially not switch actors.

But, since former Coronation Street actor, Jonathan Wrather, was only in the soap for a year back in 2002, we'll let it slide.

Jonathan is said to be "thrilled" to join the Emmerdale cast, as he's taking on a different role than that of his Corrie character.

He played Joe Carter in Coronation Street, the ultimate bad boy, who stole Steve McDonald's ex-wife's heart. Joe and Karen had a steamy affair on the soap until he left in 2003. 

He's also made appearances in Doctors, Holby City and Casualty over the years, but we're looking forward to him becoming a regular on our screens again.

Everyone and their granny knows the Playboy mansion and its reputation for throwing the most lavish and, erm, erotic parties in Hollywood.

But it seems that all of it might be coming to an end soon. TMZ has reported that Hugh Hefner is selling the Playboy Mansion, with an asking price of €200 million.

The 29-room home sits on nearly five acres of land across the hills of LA, and is going to be listed in the next month, sources say.

But, it doesn't mean it's the end. If Hugh decides to sell the house, it would be under a stipulation, meaning Hugh will be able to live in the house as a condition.

The house as first built in 1927 and the entrepreneur bought the house back in 1971 for only €1m.

The mansion has also appeared in numerous TV shows and movies including Entourage, The House Bunny and Sex and the City.

If you were a Sex and the City fan, you either thought Carrie made a mess of her love life; or you think it turned out in the best way possible.

And if you were a Sex and the City fan, you also had a favourite boyfriend of Carrie's, right?

Well, two of Carrie's lovers had a mini reunion over the weekend in Beverly Hills, and we have to say, it's good to see the two men together again.

Chris North, who played Mr Big and John Corbett, who played Aidan Shaw posed for a photo during the Spotlight celebration in LA.

The men are both working hard at the moment, as John plays Governor of Illinois candidate Peter Florrick on The Good Wife, which is on its seventh series.

Meanwhile, Chris has a new movie coming out this year, My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2, which is sure to be a box office hit.

If we had Carrie Bradshaw's leading men meet up every weekend, we'd be very happy, indeed, because we miss these guys on the TV.

It's bye-bye to Fernandez-Versini and back to Tweedy for Cheryl, as the X Factor star has reportedly filed for divorce after just 18 months of marriage.

According to new reports this evening, Cheryl and her second husband, Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini, "secretly" split back in August, but made things official by filing for divorce this week.

The X Factor judge is said to have cited "irreconcilable differences" on her divorce filing, with a source telling The Sunday Mirror that she realised she had made a mistake marrying Jean-Bernard after such a short time.

"In the end Cheryl realised she had married too soon and had been swept away by a bit of a whirlwind romance.

"Over time it became clear to each of them that they were very different people and from very different worlds."

And rather than quash the reports this evening, Cheryl instead chose to stay silent – though she did post this uncaptioned selfie to Instagram within minutes of the news going public:

With over 40,000 likes in just a few hours, it's safe to say Cheryl's fans are already stepping up to support her.

It's been a tough year for the singer, whose noticeable weight loss attracted a lot of unwanted attention – which she was quick to hit back about.

"You have no idea what I have been through. Just losing my father in law v recently and everything that comes with that. Not that I am or should justify myself to anyone," she wrote on social media earlier this year in response to her critics.

"I’m so f***ing sick of people thinking it’s ok to be mean or body shame anyone."

Here's hoping 2016 is a more positive year for Cheryl.

Rob Kardashian has remained off the radar for much of last year and after his notable absence from the family's thanksgiving photos as well as his hospitalisation, Khloe has finally offered up an update on her brothers health health. 

Speaking to E! News, the reality star revealed that while the family have never had a sit down intervention with Rob, she believes a phone call she made to him on the last season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians was a pivotal moment. 

"We didn't mean to film [it] and it just happened. We filmed an intervention that aired…not so much like a sit-down [one], it was like over the phone and… we happened to be filming and we just needed to really address a lot of stuff with Rob."

"And it came to be that I'm an enabler because I baby him too much but I can't kick my brother out, that's never gonna happen."

However, Khloe is hopeful for Rob to make a proper recovery in 2015. 

"2016 I think is gonna be a really positive great year. And I think that health scare hopefully rattled Rob a little bit and maybe woke him up."

"I know it's only what January 7 or 8, it's only eight days of this year but I think I've seen such a great transformation just mentally right now. So I hope that sticks. Again it's only been a week, but I hope that sticks and I'm always praying and rooting for Rob."

"I'm very hopeful," she continued. "We gotta get Rob back out here doing his thing. We all miss Rob, he's the best."

Let's face it ladies. Whether you are popping a pill everyday or got a literal bar inserted into your arm, women totally take the brunt of the hassle when it comes to contraception. 

And perhaps that fair enough considering we are the ones who can get pregnant, but would you rely on a male contraceptive device?

Because this may be a real possibility in the near future. 

The Bimek SLV is being described as a "sperm switch" which essentially allows a man to be able to switch off his sperm. 

Nifty. 

Yep, this little device allows it's user to be able to temporarily block his own sperm tubes and the SLV can be inserted into the man's penis in a half-hour long operation. 

The device is currently being tested but the company hopes to raise five million dollars through crowdfunding to bring the project to the mainstream. 

We think this sounds like a handy little gizmo, but not sure we would be jumping to have a proper operation on our privates…
