If you're a shopping addict in Cork, get ready to be very happy because a new shopping village – like Kildare Village – is in the works. 

A hotel and 4,000 seat conference centre is also included in an anticipated project by new company, Phoenix Tourism Development Bandon.

A land-zoning submission was lodged to Cork County Council, which could see a "potential economic boom for Bandon as a result," said spokesman for the new company Bob Brandy.

The new company was formed by four local residents to specifically drive the new venture, which will hopefully see more and more tourists and residents visiting the county.

The application wants to land-zone a 22-acre field, close to the ruins of Bandon's Castlebernard House which was burned down during the War of Independence.

It is envisioned that this field will be the location of the proposed hotel, which Mr Brady says is well needed. The shopping village will then be located just across the way.

"We have just one hotel in Bandon right now. [The town] has been bypassed by the tourist industry, which is worth over €7bn to Ireland each year — yet the town hardly sees any of this,” said Bob.

“We are going to give people a reason to come here as a desirable tourism and shopping destination.”

It'll be three weeks full of posters, flyers and knocks on the door for people in the Republic of Ireland, as Enda Kenny has confirmed the date of the next General Election for February 26.

The Taoiseach this morning visited Áras an Uachtaráin to request that the current Dáil be dissolved, the first step needed to start the process of a General Election.

Speaking to voters via a Twitter video, Kenny noted that the choice Irish people face now is "as stark as it is clear."

He added that the job of rebuilding the Republic of Ireland's post-recession economy was "not yet finished" and urged voters not to hand the country over to "those who wrecked our past or those who would wreck it in the future."

Fine Gael and Labour are seeking re-election as a coalition, with Fianna Fáil and Sinn Féin both also vying for seats.

The three-week campaign will take place across 40 constituencies in the Republic of Ireland, with 158 seats available.

After being dissolved today, the Dáil will resume on March 10, once the new government has been voted in.

Yesterday, Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick enjoyed a shopping trip together, and the pair were looking particularly cosy with each other. 

Now, us hopefuls would think that this is the road to the reality stars getting back together, but according to reports, they're not. *Sob*. 

The pair were simply shopping with momager, Kris Jenner for pots and pans for Scott's new pad. 

The 36-year-old did look quite happy to be with her former flame, as the E! cameras filmed for Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

Kourt did recently cause fans to wonder about the couple though, as she posted a picture of her and Scott on Instagram the other day.

"#FBF with the baby daddy before he was a baby daddy," she captioned the shot. 

So, you never know, they could be on the road to being back together.

This week we got a tour inside Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian's homes – and everyone went WILD over Khloe's unreal shoe closet.

But, Blake Lively has now given us a glimpse of her own shoe closet, and all we can say is wow.

She shared the jealousy-inducing closet on Instagram last night to show off a new item gifted to her by a friend – an accessory tray with Vogue's Anna Wintour.

Blake joked about the item (that we all wish we had) by saying, "Saint of Fashion to watch over my style choices… Always. No pressure."

Now, one thing that Blake Lively has is style, and somehow she always seems to get it right. 

All we can say is Serena Van Der Woodson would be proud.

Last week, it was confirmed that a reboot of Gilmore Girls will be coming to Netflix really soon. And it's safe to say that just about every fangirl completely freaked out.

And, when we learned that our fave characters were confirmed for the reunion, Lauren Graham (Lorelai), Alexis Bledel (Rory), Scott Patterson (Luke), Kelly Bishop (Emily), Sean Gunn (Kirk), and Keiko Agena (Lane), we freaked out even more.

But, one fan noticed that someone was missing from the reunion line-up and took to Twitter to ask Melissa McCarthy if she will be gracing the reboot with her presence as the loveable chef, Sookie.

Awkwardly enough, Melissa wrote back to the fan on Twitter and said that she wasn't invited back. Ouch.

"Thanks for the invite, but sadly no one asked me or Sookie to come back to Stars Hollow.,” she wrote. “Wish them all the best!!”

At least she doesn't sound bitter about it, but we would have loved to see her come back.

As we all know, Demi Lovato and long-time BFF Nick Jonas are preparing to go on tour together, and while we can't wait to see them perform their kinda-sorta Camp Rock reunion, it seems that not every Lovato fan is happy about it.

One fan took to Instagram last night to share their views with the singer, and Demi… Well, Demi completely shut them down.

We think this fan didn't remember that Nick and Demi are besties, and you can criticise someone's career, but never go near their best friend.

Another day, another Celebrity Big Brother secret relationship. 

Yesterday, we revealed the identity of Scotty T's alleged girlfriend and now it seems we've discovered Tiffany's secret boyfriend. 

Yep, unlike Stephanie Davis who made sure that EVERYONE knew about her relationship with Sam Reece, it seems Tiff and Scotty T thought their chances in the CBB house would be drastically improved if they were purported to be single. 

Speculation began last week after Tiffany admitted in a game of Truth or Dare that she had: "been with the same d*ck for four years."

Despite going after Scotty T with her full force, Tiff is actually dating Los Angelos-based rapper Aktion LA Jackson. 

And one look at Aktion's Twitter page and it seems that the rapper is following Tiffany's journey in the house closely. 

But it seems that Tiff's American bae is fully aware that the show is a game and cannot wait to greet his girlfriend when she gets out. 

Tiffany got angry with her nomination last week and said: "When I leave this Friday, at least I can get a stiff drink, stiff d**k and some steak."

And it seems that Aktion is more than happy to oblige. 

Now this seems like one of the more saner of the CBB relationships, if that's even possible.

Ariel Winter wore a gorgeous strapless gown at the SAG Awards this week and she looked beautiful, fierce and, perhaps most importantly, body confident. 

None-the-less, she started to get flack over her visible scars from a breast reduction she received last year. 

But don't worry, she had the perfect response. 

She's had a pretty tough year having broken up with her long-term boyfriend as well becoming emancipated and in the midst of all this she also decided to have a breast reduction. 

The Modern Family star has said that the decision was an easy one as her size 34F breasts made her very uncomfortable in the public light. 

"Being a 5-ft.-tall girl and having extremely large breasts is really ostracising and excruciatingly painful," she has told People magazine this week. 

The actress reduced her bust size from a very large F to a more comfortable D.

While you might be forgiven for thinking that Jedward have fallen off the face of the planet, the musical twins from Dublin are still very much active. 

The pair have been out travelling around the world and being adored by some seriously dedicated fans.

But it seems that the pair want to give their followers a flavour of a more stripped back, subdued Jedward.

Social media was given a bit of a smack in the face this morning when Kim Kardashian posted a selfie with her presumed nemesis and former girlfriend of her husband, Amber Rose. 

We were confused and very much bemused but while people called out that the snap as a publicity stunt, it is now being reported that Kim herself was instrumental in sorting out all the beef between herself and Amber. 

According to a report by TMZ, Kim decided to meet with Amber following the very public spat between Kanye and Amber's ex husband Wiz Khalifa. 

Though Amber got involved herself, Kim and the model have also had very public spats in the past. 

"Kim called her Monday afternoon and asked to meet at Kris Jenner's house early that evening," said a source. 

"Amber accepted the invite, and the 2 hashed things out. We're told after a long conversation they're both good with each other."

Each of the pair shared the image to their own social media accounts causing a bit of an internet meltdown. 

But the lesson of the day is, if Kim and Amber can be friends then so can everyone else on the planet who have ever rowed.

You kind of assume that when beautiful celebrities get together, they are inevitably going to spawn gorgeous children. 

So when actress and pin-up Pamela Anderson hooked up with rock royalty Tommy Lee, the effects were inevitably going to be genetically successful. 

And oh how they were… 

Introducing Dylan Lee, the 18-year-old spawn of Pam and Tommy whose modelling career is probably about to take off a he lands a new series of shots for top fashion label, Yves Saint Laurent. 

And yeah, he looks great in the black and white photos as he casually strolls around topless and playing guitar.

On raising her two sons out of the media spotlight, it seems that Pam has it down. 

"They're gonna make their own choices for the rest of their lives, and it wouldn't be their own choice if we were dragging them down red carpets," the former Baywatch actress said to Today. 

"I say 'you're gorgeous, you're talented, you got that down, [now] let's work on humbleness, let's work on, you know, education.

"But they're genetically loaded. They're perfect gentlemen considering the gene pool."

Genetically loaded is right.
