OK so the sun may not quite be shining but it is July and it is pretty warm. And regardless of the ever-changing weather, we can't be the only ones to experience random, for-no-clear-reason-whatsoever THIRSTY days! 

Now, and after a little research with our lab coats on, we have discovered that our thirst is not merely dependent on what the temperature gauge says. 

Yup, there an absolute load of reasons why your body screams 'hydrate me PLEASE'. 

Here, we detail what to look out for…

1. Your diet

Well, yes if you're knocking back salty treats then you're going to be thirsty – but other, less obvious foods can have the same impact. Diuretic foods – so celery, asparagus, beets, lemons, ginger, and parsley – can make you thirsty because they cause you to urinate more. So while these foods have lots of health benefits, if you're continually parched after eating them, consider tucking into more fluid-rich foods such as porridge and brown rice.

2.  Pregnancy

All those lovely baby hormones, as well as the whole growing another human inside you thing inevitable makes you reach for a water bottle, chilled juice, or coconut water. And it's super important to stay hydrated at this time. So despite the fact that you will need to go to the toilet A LOT (that's another pregnancy thing) don't skip your hydration breaks.

3.  Dry mouth

If your mouth is dry you're going to feel thirsty (natch) – though this may not mean that your body is dehydrated. Other factors to consider include a course of medication such as antibiotics, as well as smoking or being in a smoky environment.

4. Your period

Hello there, homones! Estrogen and progesterone levels can both affect your body's fluid volume, while blood loss itself can also make you seriously thirsty. Make sure to stay refreshed with the likes of coconut water – a natural source of electrolytes including potassium, sodium, calcium and magnesium – and filtered water.

5. Night-time breathing habits

You wake up with your cheek languishing on an unpleasantly damp pillow; a not-so delightful trail of night-time drool emerging from your lips. Yup – you're a mouth-breather – and it's a habit that can make you dehydrated. Using a humidifier can help ease mouth dryness, as can replenishing with lots of fluids when you wake-up.

6. Activity levels

It goes without saying if you're working up a sweat, then you're going to be thirsty. On August 5 2015, Gwen Stefani filed for divorce from musician Gavin Rossdale, after 14 years of marriage. 

The Don't Speak singer cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split, but it soon came out that Gavin had been cheating on his wife. 

On February 9 2015, it was leaked to the press that Gavin Rossdale, giving in to the Hollywood cliche, had been having an affair with his children's nanny. 

In a recent interview with Harpers Bazaar, Gwen got candid about her split from Gavin, stating that "It was the beginning of hell. Like six, seven, eight months of torture."

Gwen, 46, also told Harpers Bazaar about the impact that the split had on her family life.

"It was so insane because not only did my family break up, but then my kids are taken away like half the time" she explained. 

"My dreams were shattered," Gwen said. "All I wanted my whole life was to have babies, be married, like what my parents have."

Gwen and Gavin married in 2002, having met in 1995 whilst on tour together and have three sons, Kingston, Zuma and Apollo. 

After months of sadness, Gwen started a relationship with her co-star on The Voice, country music star Blake Shelton.

"It went from horrible to, like, hopeful" Gwen Stefani explained.

Blake ended his four year relationship with fellow musician, Miranda Lambert, and started dating Gwen in November 2015. 

It would seem that the couple are very much in love, having released a single together in May 2016, that topped the country music charts.

You could crunch yourself into oblivion and twist until you're blue in the face, but unless you leave the gym with a prominent vertical crease leading from your chest to your navel, you may as well give up.

At least according to the latest Instagram craze which honours those 'lucky' enough to boast a deep crevice down the centre of their torso, that is.

The so-called Ab Crack appears to have taken the place of the thigh gap, thigh brow and the bikini bridge, and is, if a recent article in Elle is to be believed, the holy grail of all women. Puh-lease.

"Behold, the craziest new core look – an irrigation ditch divide down the center of your stomach, aka the Ab Crack," read the piece. "While Ab Cracks vary in depth and definition, all Ab Cracks show us you’ve been in the gym. We get it. We’re very impressed."

While many of us are more than capable of raising an eyebrow before turning a blind eye to these supposed body trends, a worrying number of impressionable young women fall victim to them time and time again.

"These fads can be triggering to people who are struggling with or are pre-dispositioned to an eating disorder," Claire Mysko, president of the National Eating Disorders Association told Yahoo Style.

"It’s time that we, as a culture, recognise that fact, and promote being healthy and happy with who we are," she said. "The reality is that these ‘ideal’ body-image goals are simply unrealistic and unattainable for most people -and unhealthy to even strive for."

You heard the woman;  unless you want to sacrifice your health for a fleeting craze, leave the Ab Cracks to Emily Ratajkowski.

She might have him well beaten in the rebound stakes, but Calvin Harris seems to have smashed Taylor Swift’s chances of being the first ex to make music about their famous split.

According to TMZ, the Scottish DJ is working on a new track called Ole which is supposedly written from the perspective of TayTay’s new love Tom Hiddleston.

And if the lyrics are anything to go by, it seems Calvin is pretty convinced that TayTom were getting together before he and the Bad Blood singer officially ended their 15 month romance.

The song says: "I see online that you begun to be a good girl and take trips with your boyfriend.  Being attentive, continue to pretend."

"You've hidden my name in your phone so you can call me to tell me you've been going through hell.  Left him alone and you booked in a hotel."

And in a possible reference to Tom’s role as Loki in Thor: "Low key you won't tell none of your friends about me."

TMZ’s sources say the Summer hitmaker has no bad feelings towards Tom as he believes the actor has been mesmerised by Taylor.

Although it has yet to be revealed when exactly the track will be released, it is said John Newman will be its featured singer as he and Calvin were spotted in Mexico together last week where the song’s video was shot.

The news comes almost two weeks after Calvin swayed from his original statement that his split with Taylor was filled with love and respect by telling an Instagram follower that his ex “controlled the media” and that he “had no idea what was going on”.

We wonder how easy it’ll be for Taylor to shake this one off.

The usual nine-month wait between Game of Thrones seasons is torturous enough, but now it seems we will be waiting even LONGER. 

In the final episode of season six, The Winds of Winter, we saw that after years of waiting, winter finally arrived to the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros.

And while it was expected that Game of Thrones would return to our screens in April 2017 with it's seventh season, it has since been revealed that there will be a delay in filming.

The show's creators, David Benioff and D.B Weiss, recently confirmed our fears in a UFC Unfiltered podcast, saying "We don't have an air date yet, but this year will probably be a little bit later."

Why you ask? 

The creators went on to tell UFC Unfiltered that "We're starting a bit later because at the end of the season, 'Winter is here' – and that means that sunny weather doesn't really serve our purposes any more."

"So we kind of pushed everything down the line so we could get some grim grey weather even in the sunnier places that we shoot"

Earlier this year, the award-winning creators confirmed that the two remaining seasons would be shorter than their predecessors – with season seven perhaps only having seven episodes.

ALSO, for all you die-hard fans, the pair have hinted at the return of Gendry, who has not been seen since season three! 

Whatever the wait may be, we are EXCITED!

The internet is a weird and wonderful place where you can find information on pretty much everything.

And while we could use it to broaden our knowledge on a vast range of subjects, most of us use it to search for answers to questions we’re too embarrassed or lazy to ask other people.

‘How to tell if you have a fungal infection’, ‘When do I have right of way?’, ‘Can you break a penis?’; the list goes on.

And while the powers that be at Google quickly realised we’re a mortifying bunch of people, and swiftly provided features which allowed us to delete entries, that didn’t stop most of us seizing up when opening our Google app in view of anyone else or finding ourselves stunned by some of the ads targeted at us.

But now, according to Wired, those tech wizards have gone one step further.

Launching a new tool called My Activity – which combines data history from all of its services – Google allows you to delete entries based on topics, services or date ranges ,and lets you in on just how much those Googlers know about you.

Further to this, they have introduced a feature which – if enabled – can harness information from your Google account and ultimately improve the advertisements you see while online.

While Google already uses this feature to customise ads within its own services, the new tool will actually feature on ANY site which uses Google’s AdSense service.

Users will have to opt-in to avail of the service, so if it’s not for you, you don’t have to get on board, but it does sounds like a sweet way to keep track of how much you're being tracked.

While only a new addition to the Googlebox cast, Ava Moffatt has already managed to endear herself to the viewing public.

Giving as good as she gets when it comes to her older sister, Scarlett, and ruthlessly assessing the latest TV offerings, it's easy to forget the newest reality TV star is just ten-years-old.

So, it's no surprise Googlebox fans are all OVER a throwback photo which 25-year-old Scarlett shared on Instagram yesterday.

Alongside the photo which showed a teenage Scarlett with baby Ava perched on her hip back in 2006, Scarlett wrote: "Ten years ago, #throwback #baby #sister."

With Scarlett looking like she hasn't aged a day in the past decade, fans were quick to comment on the best-selling author's pose, with one writing: "Gosh, you were doing duck face before everyone."

This isn't the first throwback snap Scarlett has shared with her legions of fans and followers, having recently uploaded a split-shot of herself partying at 21.

"A very Skinny Minnie Me, " she wrote in the post which was liked thousands of times. "Ah to be 21 and a size 6 again."

After calling off her engagement to Nick Young and subsequently learning his ex was already pregnant with his child, you’d expect Iggy Azalea to have a lot to say.

But rather than spilling her guts in a tell-all interview, it seems the star has only one simple message for the high-school sweethearts – a big “F You”!

Hours after Nick’s baby mama Keonna Green revealed to Us Weekly the deets of how she got pregnant with the pro-basketballer’s second child, Iggy was asked by a TMZ reporter if there was anything she’d like to say to the pair.

As she walked through an Australian airport, the rapper quickly gave the middle finger to the camera before clarifying: “That’s my message for them, not you.”

While she was there, Iggy also denied to TMZ that Keonna tried to reach out to her after she hooked up with her former flame three months after they had gotten engaged.

On Wednesday Keonna revealed to Us Weekly that when she and Nick were supposed to be bringing their four-year-old son to Magic Mountain, there were actually in her home doing the dirty on Iggy.

She said: “We would take our son to Magic Mountain together…but sometimes Nick would say, ‘Oh, there’s too much traffic,’ and he’d just play with Nicholas in his room.”

“We got caught up in the moment and it just happened.”

“I don’t know what was going on in his household, but me and Nick have lots of history.  It wasn’t a secret on my end.”

With all these revelations, it's little wonder Iggy has decided to give Keonna and Nick the silent treatment.

Our childhoods were spent desperately trying – and ultimately failing – to fly a kite which our parents had splashed out on in the local pound shop.

Running up and down a nearby green while the useless yoke trailed behind us on the ground was as soul-destroying as it got for a nine-year-old, so we're seriously feeling for Anna Faris today.

Taking to Instagram yesterday, Chris Pratt uploaded footage of his wife looking downcast as she tried to get her damn kite to raise even half an inch over her head.

"My wife is all things…Lover. Actor. Mother. Kite master," he wrote alongside a snap of the Scary Movie actress looking like she'd literally lost the will to live.

Giving fans an insight into the REAL struggle she endured, Chris then shared footage of the star's plight in a vid which has clocked up a staggering one million views since yesterday.

Encouraging his wife, who – and we don't want to cast aspersions here – definitely needs a little schoolin' in the ol' kite-flying , Chris can be heard shouting: "Come on, come on wind! Good job, it's almost up! It's almost up!"

"Haha that's literally everyone that tries to fly a kite," wrote one Insta user while another remarked: "I don't think even a tornado would send it up with the way she's holding it!"

Now, we know kite-flying was never our thing, but surely a bit of  a running start would help…

Kylie Jenner found herself in some hot water this week when it was reported that her make-up business received an 'F' rating from the Better Business Bureau due to a large volume of complaints being made about the company.

Since its launch nine months ago, Kylie Cosmetics has repeatedly sold out its famous Lip Kits but, according to the Mail Online, it has also earned 137 customer complaints which is why it received the lowest possible grade from America's BBB.

But the teen star has shown she is not about to sit back and watch her cosmetics empire be bashed as she has taken to her website to encourage people to look at the facts.

She wrote: "You guys are the reason I keep going and I'm motivated every day to make Kylie Cosmetics the best it can be."

"I'm continuing to learn and I just want to make everyone happy. Because so many of you spoke out, I'm excited to tell you that the Better Business Bureau has looked at the facts and changed the rating." 

"I’ve sold millions of lip kits and any complaint we’ve received to date has been addressed in a timely manner."

"I'm sick and tired of people coming for my business.  I love everything about Kylie's Cosmetics and I will do anything in my power to protect and improve it every day and make you guys happy."

"I don't want to respond to the haters but you guys deserve an answer and to know the facts. I love you and apologize to anyone who felt the urge to complain and didn't receive the service they deserve."

Sounds like Kylie is pretty determined to get her business back on track.

She might be best known as Ciara, but Ciara Princess Wilson really lived up to her middle name yesterday when she married professional footballer Russell Wilson at Cheshire’s Peckforton Castle.

The pop star and her new husband – who announced their engagement back in March – took to Instagram last night to share the first picture from their big day with fans.

The image shows the newlyweds walking hand-in-hand down the aisle shortly after tying the knot and is proudly captioned: "We are The Wilsons."

Ciara’s stunning white lace gown – which featured subtle corset detailing to the front and delicate bell sleeves – was designed by her friend Peter Dundas, who also happens to be Roberto Cavalli’s creative director.

The designer later regrammed the shot, writing: “Congratulations my dear friend Ciara and Russell Wilson.  Looking like a fairytale princess bride in #CavalliCouture.”

The Love Sex Magic singer wore a long veil over soft curls for the event and completed the look with a simple all white bouquet.

Unfortunately ​​​​Ciara’s close friend Serena Williams was unable to make the occasion as she was committed to the Wimbledon semi-finals.

A source told E! News: "Serena really wanted to be a part of Ciara's bridal party when she asked her a while back, but she knew work may conflict.”

"Ciara was understanding and knows Serena would be there if she could. They have spoken today and have FaceTimed each other, so it's like Serena is in the room with all the girls."

Thankfully the star wasn’t left short of help in Serena's absence as she had eight bridesmaids – one being singer Kelly Rowland – who were all dressed in Michael Costello custom couture.

Kate Middleton is a woman of many talents, but now it seems that one of her talents is levitating.

The mother-of-two was snapped walking beside her hubby and Prince Harry while attending the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Somme earlier this week, but people were more interesting in finding out what the hell was with Kate's floating body.

To be honest, at first glance it does look like she's in mid-air, and might be a former member of Hogwarts (wouldn't that be amazing).

But it turns out it's an optical illusion caused by a combo of the colour of the ground in contrast to her shoes, her position and the moment the pic was captured.

Of course, we won't judge if you rather let your imaginations run wild here…
