We’ve all experienced those moments where we think we might have just encountered the person who could have a profound impact on our life only to realise we’re never likely to see them again.

A fleeting glance on the morning commute, a snatched conversation after a night out or a lingering look across a crowded chipper can have even the most rational of us imagining what could have been.

So, it’s no surprise that a Reddit upload which explored this particular issue has made such a massive impact on internet users all over the world.

Doing the major rounds on social media, some see the post as nothing more than a total buzzkill while others were reminded of their own experience of unrequited love.

"Oh look, the most depressing post I've ever seen has once again appeared to me late at night while I'm drinking," wrote one while another countered: "Reminds me of this girl I met on a 12 hour flight, we talked for 10 hours straight, she had a boyfriend so nothing came of it."

Ladies, we'll let you be the judge of this one.

Earlier this month Gary Beadle launched a stream of abuse at three of his Geordie Shore housemates in his Daily Star column.

And now one of his victims, Marnie Simpson, has decided to get her own back.

Writing in her column for Star magazine, Marnie said: "Gaz Beadle is the loneliest person I've ever met. He only has one friend and that's his manager."

She then revealed that Gary may not have as many friends left in the house as people may think: "Everyone has fallen out with him because he's not a nice person."

“I know it's getting to him, but he won't change.”

Potentially referencing Gary's latest drug scandal, the 24-year-old star finished with: “I’ve just heard that he said I’m boring unless I have a drink in my hand. Well, at least I only need a drink to be fun…”  

The timing of the piece is more than a little odd since both Gaz and Marnie are away filming for the 13th series of Geordie Shore right now and just yesterday Gary tweeted a picture of himself and Marnie with their cast-mates captioned "Beach day".

We doubt there'll be too many happy trips to the beach once Gaz reads what she's been saying…

Not all heroes wear capes guys.

This is Chris Martin, not the Coldplay front man, a man who has had it with his daughters sexy selfies. You know that saying 'if you can't beat them, join them'? Well that is exactly what has happened here. 

Chris has become an Internet sensation, through his HILARIOUS recreation of his daughters selfies. 

Chris takes his mockery to the next level, by drawing on fake tattoos and wearing the same outfits as his daughter, Cassandra. 

Chris told The Daily Mail, 'So my daughter has been posting sexy selfies of herself and instead of telling her to stop, well, I thought of something better.'

Chris is a comedian and podcaster, who has been trolling his daughter online for a couple of months at this stage, and we hope he has more up his sleeve.

Back in our mother's day, weddings were ALL about the dress, and the shoes were simply something that peeked out from beneath the hem, but nowadays we know better.

Oh, so much better.

The moment we're done gushing over the gown, our attention moves to the bride's shoe as we gauge whether she went for a pop of colour, killer heel or – dare we say it – iconic red sole.

And while we'd totally consider ourselves footwear aficionados, we obviously pale in comparison to the shoe queen that is Carrie Bradshaw – Sorry! We mean Sarah Jessica Parker.

So, we're totally with these three brides who fell all over themselves when they realised that the shoe specialist on hand during their dress fitting was none other than our favourite New Yorker.

Having launched a new shoe range for brides, Sarah Jessica treated the three overwhelmed brides-to-be to their very own Cinderella moment as she crouched in front of them and lovingly matched the perfect heel to their chosen gown.

Former One Directioner Zayn Malik must be developing a flair for fashion from hanging out with model girlfriend Gigi Hadid as the singer has just launched his very own clothing line.

According to Hello! Fashion, Zayn has created a 23-piece collection of t-shirts and hoodies which feature shots of Zayn and includes Urdu script – a touch which connects the collection to the singer’s Pakistani heritage.

Speaking of the venture, Zayn told Vogue: “Everything was created with the idea that this is something I would want to wear.”

"I wanted to approach this as an opportunity to extend my ideas as an artist, and to give fans another facet of who I am."

"My family is from Pakistan, so having artwork in Urdu has huge significance to me."

The 23-year-old star worked on the collection with British illustrator Mark Wilkinson, who previously designed Iron Maiden’s famous rock tees.

The Jonas family is growing by the minute. Kevin Jonas and his wife Danielle announced the sex of their second baby yesterday via instagram. 

The couple, who married in December 2009, took to social media in April to announce that they were expecting their second child at the end of this year. The lovebirds welcomed their first child, daughter Alena Rose, in February 2014.

The pop star took to instagram yesterday to announce that his wife is expecting a GIRL. Kevin posted an adorable photo collage of his daughter holding pink balloons that said Baby Girl on them. Too cute for words.

Kevin, 28, and his wife Danielle, 29, hosted a sex reveal party in their California home over the weekend.

They played a guessing game with their guests, using two jars of m&ms. One jar had nuts, the other did not. Guests were encouraged to bet on which jar would be held up in the reveal. VERY fun idea.

While preparations are underway for the new addition to the family,Kevin's baby brother's are making major steps in their musical careers.

Joe Jonas, who recently called it quits with Gigi Hadid, has been making history with his band DNCE, singers of the summer's number one tune Cake by the Ocean . Baby Jonas, Nick, is also selling singles like there's no tomorrow while achieving heartthrob status along the way. 

We cannot wait to see Kevin and Danielle's beautiful baby girl in a few months!

Yesterday, the gorgeous London-based actor, Ed Westwick celebrated his 29th birthday, and we are so thankful for those years. 

Ed first stole our hearts playing the billionaire bad-boy Chuck Bass, in our favourite TV show EVER, Gossip Girl, and frankly we've been hooked on him ever since.

The Bass character was most famed for his on again / off again relationship with Blair Waldorf, played by Leighton Meester and the pair won numerous awards for their portrayal of the New York love birds, including Entertainment Weekly's Best Dressed TV Characters of 2008.

In celebration of this beautiful creature's birthday, we just want to stare in amazement at stunning pictures of him – simply to get the blood flowing this morning, you understand.

Like, can we talk about those CHEEK BONES for a second? 

 

Ed is a man of many talents,with a substantial modelling career (obviously) under his belt.

He has been trying his hand at a music career with his band The Filthy Youth – Think The Rolling Stones meets The Doors and The Kings of Leon are invited too. This man literally ticks all the boxes! 

Ed is set to feature in two movies this year, Take Down and Jekyll Island, and we personally cannot wait.

Filming a collection of naked celebrities in bed together is always going to get a reaction – even if those celebrities are actually made of wax.

So it's little surprise that Kanye West's new Famous video has caused a whole lot of WTF feelings online.

Although most of those who actually feature in the controversial clip – which shows everyone from Taylor Swift to Donald Trump in bed with Kim Kardsahian West and her infamous video-creating husband – have yet to comment, Girls creator Lena Dunham has stepped up to offer her thoughts on what she's dubbed "one of the more disturbing ‘artistic’ efforts in recent memory".

In a lengthy Facebook post the avid feminist divided the Kardashian-West household by slamming Kanye’s work while praising Kim and her sisters for the way they represent women.

She wrote: “Like many pop culture addicted Americans, I wait with bated breath for what Kanye West will do next. Aside from his Twitter mayhem, he has created some really ‘next level sh*t’.”

“I could also happily watch Kim Kardashian West chip the paint off a window ledge for hours and be fascinated.”

“I admire that whole family, love the way they depict women as better in numbers and masters of their own destiny. I'd spend all summer at Kamp Kardashian.”

“But…the Famous video is one of the more disturbing ‘artistic’ efforts in recent memory.”

After referencing the recent Stanford rape case, Bill Crosby's sexual assault allegations and the alarming issue of sexual assaults being streamed online, the author said: “I'm sure that Bill Cosby doll being in the bed alongside Donald Trump is some kind of statement, that I'm probably being trolled on a super high level.”

“I know that there's a hipper or cooler reaction to have than the one I'm currently having. But guess what? I don't have a hip cool reaction."

"Seeing a woman I love like Taylor Swift…reduced to a pair of waxy breasts…makes me feel sad and unsafe and worried for the teenage girls who watch this and may not understand that grainy roving camera as the stuff of snuff films.”

“Here's the thing, Kanye: you're cool. Make a statement on fame and privacy and the Illuminati or whatever is on your mind!”

“But I can't watch it, don't want to watch it, if it feels informed and inspired by the aspects of our culture that make women feel unsafe even in their own beds, in their own bodies.”

Chelsea Handler is known for revealing as much – if not more –  than the high-profile guests who appear on her popular comedy talk show, Chelsea Lately, so it's no real surprise that she decided to open up even more during an essay she recently penned for Playboy.

Reflecting on her teenage years, the 41-year-old star admitted that she became pregnant twice at the age of 16 and opted to terminate the pregnancies on both occasions.

"I was going through a very bad stage in my life. I hated my parents and I was having unprotected sex with my boyfriend, who was not someone I should've been having sex with in the first place, never mind unprotected sex," she wrote.

Drawing down on her inability to process the magnitude of the situation, Chelsea wrote: "I wasn't really playing with a full deck of cards, and when I got pregnant I just thought, Why not? I can have a baby. Maybe I'll have twins and give them rhyming names."

Chelsea went on to acknowledge her parents' role in the decision to terminate the first pregnancy, but admits that when she became pregnant by the same boyfriend for a second time that year, she was on her own.

"I didn't have the money the second time," she wrote. "I had to scrape together the $230 to pay Planned Parenthood, but it was a safe abortion. Getting unintentionally pregnant more than once is irresponsible, but it's still necessary to make a thoughtful decision."

The New Jersey-native insists that she made the right decision on both occasions and simply wasn't equipped for motherhood at the time, writing: "We all make mistakes all the time. I happened to f*ck up twice at the age of 16. "

"I'm grateful that I came to my senses and was able to get an abortion legally without risking my health or bankrupting myself or my family."

"I'm 41 now. I don't ever look back and think, God, I wish I'd had that baby," she insisted in the lengthy essay.

As if the Brexit drama wasn't enough for our dear friends across the Channel, England finally came to the end of their Euro 2016 journey yesterday evening. 

In what was set to be a victory for Wayne Rooney's team, the English side met Iceland on the pitch in Nice, but things didn't pan out quite as expected.

In a result which surprised the vast majority of football fans, the English side were defeated by their Icelandic opponents with a score of 2:1 at the final whistle.

Iceland, with a population of just 332,000, was the lowest ranked team entering the Euro 2016 competition, which only adds insult to injury for the English squad. 

The defeat not only resulted in total humiliation for England, but Roy Hodgson, the manager of the team, resigned from his post just moments after the loss.

Hodgson, who was earning a whopping £3.5 million a year, announced his retirement in a press conference in France after the match. 

The English players were comforted after the game by the parade of WAGS in attendance, including Coleen Rooney, the captain's wife. 

We are looking forward to seeing how far this team from Iceland can go…maybe they can replace Britain in the EU?

Ever since Ed Sheeran released Don't – a track which appears to describe being spurned by Ellie Goulding – rumours have circulated that Ellie turned her back on Ed's affections for none other than Mullingar's most famous export, Niall Horan.

Ed has never denied the rumours and once even suggested that he's officially forgiven both Ellie and Niall for pie'ing him which has left fans fascinated by the are they/ aren't they dynamic which exists between Niall and the Burn singer.

Despite the fact Ellie and former McFly member, Dougie Poynter, have been in an on again / off again relationship for two years, it looks like any hint of affection between Ellie and Niall will always grab attention.

After taking to Instagram last night to pay tribute to the Love Me Like You Do singer, Niall's snap of the star on stage at Glastonbury received a whopping 870,000 likes from fans who don't want to let the Ellie/Niall dream die.

"Yesterday i watched my best friend play main stage at Glastonbury," 22-year-old Niall wrote alongside the photo. "She killed it as always, so happy for her!"

However, while some fans gushed over the friendship, others were a little more sceptical, with one writing: ""Best friend" or more like f*ck buddies" while another added: "More like bestfriend with benefits."

Christ, they're really not having the BFF line.

It's been four years since Russell Brand famously ended his year-long marriage to Katy Perry by text, but it seems the comedian is finally ready to give marriage another go as he has reportedly proposed to his girlfriend Laura Gallacher.

According to The Sun, Russell and his pregnant partner Laura revealed the news of their engagement at an intimate “hippy-style” get-together at their Oxfordshire home over the weekend.

A source said the couple – who reunited last year in Rome, having previously dated in 2007 and 2009 – were eager to keep their celebrations quiet: “Russell didn’t want a big fuss this time after his very public relationship with Katy."

“Laura is also keen to keep their romance low-key, so the small, intimate party was very much in keeping with their ‘homebods’ image."

“As they are becoming parents, Russell wanted to do the right thing and make Laura his wife."

“She’s delighted he asked.”

Laura's sister TV presenter Kirsty Gallacher seemed to confirm the news yesterday when she posted a congratulatory pic of herself and Laura to her Instagram account.
