Some of us will do absolutely anything we can to ensure that our caffeine needs are met. Once upon a time one unlucky SHEmazing staff member even went so far as to include coffee in her porridge. Needless to say that was one recipe that we didn’t feel the need to share with the world. 

However, the latest snack option for caffeine lovers sounds far more appealing. 

Say hello to caffeinated peanut butter. Creamy, delicious and yes filled with enough caffeine to ensure you probably won’t need that midday nap.

A creation from the people at Steem, the spread allegedly contains the same amount of caffeine you would get from two cups of coffee in two mere tablespoons. 

A two tablespoon serving has 170 milligrams of caffeine, FYI. Mashable reports that the peanut butter concoction was originally created as a hangover cure. Chris Pettazzoni, one of the creators, said that they’ve been working on the recipe for quite a while.

Apparently the reason it took them so long was because the first recipes had a caffeine content that was too high. 

"The release of energy was so much better from the PB that I stopped drinking coffee completely." 

This is in part because the slow digestion of peanut butter means that the caffeine is released into your body slowly rather than in one intense shot.

While the caffeine content may be off-putting for some, the fact that it is made with all-natural peanut butter and no artificial sweeteners is enough to get our attention. 

You can try it for yourself if you’re willing to part with €4. Steem peanut butter is available to buy on Amazon and the brand’s official website.

We’re feeling pretty tempted right now to be honest.

It's what Paul Hollywood has been trying to tell us all along: if you're a dab hand at avoiding soggy bottoms, it's likely you're also rather dashing. 

Able to whip up a mean tray of chocolate cupcakes? We'd love to date you. Something of a macaron master? Ooh, you sexy thing. Know your brioche from your banoffee? Hey! Let's just put a ring on it right now.

Yes here at SHEmazing! Towers (where we're known to eat quite a lot of cake) one study this week confirmed what we've long suspected: a third of Irish adults would be more attracted to a member of the opposite sex if they could bake.

The same report – carried out by Stork – also revealed that we're more inclined to bake following a lovers' tiff with our partners… after all, brownie points earned via a batch of, well, brownies, is tough to beat.

Indeed, with the Great Irish Bake Off now underway – a show which Stork has again partnered up with for the third series – we decided to round up eight of the world's most incredible, most wonderfully OTT bakeries. 

So please, stop touching your dough balls, and step away from those hot baps: these sweet-smelling international outlets will have give you all the romantic inspiration you need for the weekend…

 

1) Eileen’s Special Cheesecake, New York

One of the world’s most famous bakeries, Eileen opened her shop in 1976; it’s still going strong with more than 25 varieties to choose from, including peanut butter, piña colada and Baileys.

 

2) Mamie Gateaux, Paris

This small tea room in Le Bon Marché is the brainchild of a Japanese patisserie chef. The hot chocolate is served in a bowl with a spoon – and you can add your own whipped cream too.

3) Sadaharu Aoki, Tokyo

Another delicious fusion – here, you'll find more incredible Franco-Japanese creations, including the matcha croissant, a croissant filled with a rich, green tea-flavoured cream.

 

4) Bakerbots, Toronto

Opening in the city’s financial district in 2011, this is now a firm favourite. The cake creations are jaw-dropping and the cookies divine: think ginger molasses, captain peanut, rococoa, and oatmeal.

 

5) Tartine Bakery, San Francisco

Opening in 2002, this is continually rated as the city’s best bakery – daily queues are standard. On offer is the likes of a frangipane croissant with almond cream, and a passion fruit Bavarian tart with lime and coconut.

 

6) Dominique Ansel Bakery, New York

World-famous – and the menu changes every four to six weeks to keep the crowds coming back. Right now we’re coveting their lightly-sweetened miniature meringues, each with their own flavour, and the pink grapefruit honey and lavender tart.

 

7) Boulangerie Guerin, Rio de Janeiro

Located in the Copacabana district of Rio, we hear the eclairs are superb, while the individual Frasier cakes with fresh cream and strawberries are a local favourite. Otherwise, try the lavender macarons.

8) Demel, Vienna

Inside you can watch pastry chefs baking and decorating cakes as you enjoy a delicious slice of your own. There’s also a cake museum hidden in the back.

Just today she took to Instagram to share an insight into her training progress with her followers, and we can see why.

Model Thalia Heffernan has that most enviable of body types – tall, lean and toned – but it doesn't come without hard work.

"By eating clean, to a certain extent, and training every week day I've managed to develop my muscles in such a short time frame," she wrote on Instagram today next to two snaps taken a week apart.

The 20-year-old favours cross-training style workout sessions with her personal trainer, including a LOT of tough abs workouts.

"No sudden movements, like sneezing, for me for the next few days," she joked after a particularly intense core session last month.

And with a new sportswear campaign for Life Style Sports just launched, it's clear Thalia's hard work has been paying off.

The original blonde bombshell, and the only who matters according to George Hook, is going to be strutting her stuff in the capital this weekend.

We reckon that the trademark red swimsuit may be left back in Malibu once Pamela Anderson realises that our weather is having a bit of a moment. Probably best to not have it get too wet before she auctions the piece off in order to raise funds for her chairty The Pamela Anderson Foundation.

The Hollywood actress is going to be making an appearance on The Ray D’Arcy Show on Saturday night to share some insight into her life and career to date. We’re hoping she may take the time to shed some light on what it was like working with Kanye himself way back when. 

Another topic that Pammy is sure to mention will be the recent announcement that she has been cured of Hepatitis C. 

The 48-year old broke the news in a rather spectacular style that really only she could pull off.

She shared a picture of herself completely nude having quite the giggle on a yacht with the caption:

"I am CURED!!! – I just found out #nomorehepc #thankyou #blessing #family #prayer #live I pray anyone living with Hep C can qualify or afford treatment. It will be more available soon. I know treatment is hard to get still…" 

For the last 16 years the actress has suffered from the disease. In recent times she had spoken about her desire to find a cure and her hopes that a new drug would be the answer.

She told People magazine: “I'm very fortunate that I've had Hep C for about 16 years. Sixteen years ago that was [presented to me] as a death sentence. I think it really worked on my self-esteem.” 

She added that she is lucky she was able to get the treatment she needed that meant she avoided liver damage and many other side effects of the disease.

The former Baywatch star revealed in 2002 that she had contracted Hep C after sharing a needle with ex-husband Tommy Lee. He however denies that he ever had Hep C.

Actress Clare Bowen has had many a Nashville fan absolutely lusting after her mermaid style blonde locks for years now.

The star recently took to social media, and left her fans absolutely stunned when she debuted her new much shorter style. Those long luscious locks that would make Ariel well jealous are gone! 

Clare took to Facebook to explain the reason behind her transformation, and it is very inspiring.

She wrote that she was inspired by two important things: a young fan who said she couldn’t be princess if she had short hair, and the actress’s own cancer diagnosis.

“I got to grow up surrounded by children just like me. We were mostly bald, all tubed, taped, bandaged up and stitched back together.”

At the time, a four year old Clare had been diagnosed with end stage nephroblastoma. She recalls her only hope of survival being an experimental treatment. 

“I got really lucky. I survived, my hair grew back and I got strong again. I look relatively normal on the outside.” 

She wrote that she doesn’t understand why people are judged so harshly for the way they look, and described it as being “completely incomprehensible.”

“[Hair is] not what makes a princess, or a warrior, or a superhero. It’s not what makes you beautiful either. It’s your insides that count… even if you happen to be missing half of them.” 

If you weren’t already feeling a bit emotional, then the reaction from her fans will definitely hit you in the feels.

A team of stylists and Kanye's input meant the reality star can basically do no wrong in the style stakes.

Kelly Brook has been branded as “pathetic” as a result of sharing a snap from a recent night out in London on social media.

The actress and model was enjoying a festive-themed night at Ping Pong restaurant and shared a photo in which she displays a very slim waistline. The brunette is known for her fabulous hourglass figure, but social media users were quick to point out some interesting features. 

After more images surfaced online in which Kelly’s waist is not so tiny, people were quickly accusing the star of editing her Instagram pictures. 

Fellow Instagram users slammed Kelly for apparently using photo editing apps to shave inches off of her waistline. 

“Why have you edited your waist in this picture?! No need when everyone knows you're curvy,” one user wrote. Others appeared to be less than impressed: 

“It's fake airbrushed to death, this is why girls make themselves sick through people like this, I honestly thought someone with natural curves wouldn't want to be thin but nothing surprises me about vein celebs these days.”

Another added: “Talk about editing!! Such a fake pathetic thing to do!”

The social media criticism comes not long after Kelly herself spoke out on how she thinks that any airbrushing in magazine should be labelled and slammed publications who previously over-Photoshopped her pictures.

Since the Instagram drama took over her social media accounts, Kelly has argued that there is nothing wrong with editing selfies:

“The pictures I post are not unrealistic to who I am. I embrace my Curves and love my body."  

"Slightly photoshopping pics is no different to women wearing fake hair, putting chicken Fillets in their bras, squeezing into Spanx or having filler and Botox in their face. None of which I do.”

The actress added the hashtag #CurveGate to her post after social media users were intent on pointing out how Kelly's pictures appeared to be edited. She added that “we all want to look our best in pics. So let’s all focus on the positive and be nice to each other.”

Most of the country woke up to chilly conditions this morning – and it's just gotten a whole load more wintry out there too.

In fact, it's currently SNOWING in Co Donegal. 

Fermanagh and parts of Sligo are also reportedly experiencing snow showers.

However, the worst hit areas are certainly in south Donegal, with hail furthermore impacting on driving conditions. 

The likes of Rossnowlagh and Ballintra seemingly have the heaviest snow coverage on the ground.

Met Éireann reports: "Heavy blustery showers (some with hail and thunder) will continue for the rest of the day, with the showers tending to be more frequent over the western half of the country

"A cold day with highest temperatures of 7C to 9C in strong and gusty westerly winds."

Meanwhile, there will be "heavy rain" tomorrow "for much of the day".

Reality TV star Caitlyn Jenner was left terribly shaken after she was targeted outside a charity event this week.

The 66-year old was speaking at a lunch which was hosted by an LGBT charity in Chicago when she was confronted by a group of angry protestors. Apparently they were not impressed that a “clueless rich white woman” was representing their community. 

As she was leaving the venue, the group began firing abuse at the former Olympian. One individual apparently told her: “You are an insult to trans people, you are an insult to women.”

The group behind the protest, who have a Facebook group named I Ain’t Cait, explained the reasons behind the protest in a post.They wrote that she doesn’t understand the challenges which other trans women face because of her background. 

They also have taken issue with Caitlyn’s previous comments on social housing:

“Caitlyn Jenner… lives in a mansion and has a net worth of millions of dollars, while the average trans person has a 41 percent chance of experiencing homelessness and a nearly 50 percent chance of living off less than $10k per year."

In the video, filmed by Showbiz Shelly, another protestor is heard stating: “You have no right to represent us!” Another added:

“I won't support her as an act of bravery for transitioning in the public's eye, while millions are homeless for identifying, dead, or dying because they have to do damn near anything just to find a place to sleep at night.” 

Despite Caitlyn being named as one of Glamour’s Women of the Year, it would seem that she is still facing serious backlash. In a BuzzFeed interview she described the most difficult part of being a woman as “figuring out what to wear”, and people we not happy. 

One protestor told the Chicago Tribune she cannot speak on the "real" struggles trans women face, and focusing on fashion or beauty regimes "defaces the real truth behind transitioning.”

In just a few months, the world-famous foursome that is One Direction will part ways for an indefinite "hiatus."

Their new album, Made In The AM, comes out today, and following a few more tour dates and a potential appearance at the BRITs to promote it, Niall, Louis, Liam and Harry will say goodbye to the boyband world for a while.

When the news broke originally, The Sun's Dan Wootton said the break would last "at least a year," but now it appears we'll be waiting a lot longer than that for a new 1D album.

Speaking on BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge this week, Liam Payne casually mentioned that the split was more likely to last "two years."

Two years. 104 weeks. 730 days. 17,520 hours… that's a very long time in the world of a One Direction fan.

"I just want to write songs," Liam, who recently split from his girlfriend of two years Sophia Smith, said of his plans for the extended break.

"We haven't really had time to write an album and whereas two years off…"

Niall Horan also has similar musical projects planned over the next two years, with Ellie Goulding revealing just yesterday that she plans to team up with him in the studio for his solo work.

"I’m going to write with him. He’s a really good guitarist and he’s funny, cheeky, really cool," she told The Sun.

"He’s been my friend for quite a few years so I’m really up for it."

The pair have indeed been friends for years and even went "on a few dates" back in 2013, according to Ellie.

In fact, it's their fling that's rumoured to have abruptly ended her and Ed Sheeran's burgeoning relationship, as documented by Ed in his song, Don't.

Wonder if Ellie and Niall have a similarly controversial duet planned?

We all know the drill: we wake up bright and early on Monday morning ready to embrace fruit, granola and poached eggs… only to be scoffing down a spice bag by Friday afternoon.

Yup, life is hard. But it's fine because there's always another Monday lurking on the horizon.

Now it has been revealed that the average yo-yo dieter is only motivated by looking at their mates anyway: a Forza Supplements study found that the main incentive for women to lose weight is… remaining thinner than a friend or sister.

And regardless of the triggers, by 30 we have spent an astonishing three YEARS on a diet. Oh and by 40, that will length of time will have increased to almost SIX YEARS. 

That's a hell of a long time spent asking for your dressing on the side. 

Indeed, the majority of Irish women will diet twice a year, on average losing about 4lbs through dieting alone. 

And just why-oh-why do we spend so much of our 30s counting calories? Well, fear of middle-aged spread and gaining weight during pregnancy are both apparently at fault.

There IS light on the horizon though. Many woman tend to become comfortable with their figure by their 40s resulting in spending much less time dieting…

So here's to hitting 40!

She's one of the most glamorous and impeccably styled young celebrities out there: yup, Kylie Jenner rarely looks anything other than totally immaculate.

And on a night out with her long-term beau, Tyga, last night in West Hollywood, the 18-year-old reality TV star certainly donned head-turning attire.

Dining at The Nice Guy restaurant, Kylie wore a black long sleeved Steven Khalil jumpsuit complete with plunging neckline (wardrobe malfunction alert!).

Carrying an Hermes clutch and walking tall in black stilettoes, Ms Jenner completed her red-carpet worthy look with the addition of a striking full-length leather fringed belt.

Tyga, on the other hand, was entirely dressed down: he opted for ripped scruffy jeans, a black jumper and – gasp! – even a beige baseball cap.

Controversially, the 25-year-old rapper also wore a pair of black man Uggs.

His wardrobe can't be all bad, however: earlier in the week, Kylie was seen at the Glamour Woman Of The Year awards wearing one of Tyga's oversized denim jackets.
