Ladies with oily skin will know what a nightmare it can be.

You shy away from the camera on nights out just in case your powder has failed you and your make-up just never seems to last like you know it should.

So how can you deal with oily skin? Here are some tips you may find helpful when it comes to dealing with the shine monster.

  • Cleansing is essential

In order to stay blemish-free and to stop a build up of oil from wreaking havoc with your skin, it’s important to cleanse at LEAST twice a day.

Always look for an oil-free foam/gel based cleanser that will keep your skin clear but still be gentle enough to use more than once a day.

  • Don’t skip the toner

It can be easy to think of toner as an optional step in your skincare routine – but once you do use it, you won’t go back. For best results, use a toner that is specialised for oily skin such as La Roche-Posay’s SEROZINC.

This mattifying facial mist has been specially formulated to give your skin a non-shiny appearance as well as tightening pores. SEROZINC has been something of a must-have with Irish beauty gurus but has not been available on our shores – until now.

From April 1st, the misting toner, specialised for oily and blemish-prone skin will be available in pharmacies nationwide for only €10.

  • Should you moisturise oily skin?

Many people believe that putting moisturiser on oily skin will only make things worse – but not so. Your skin needs hydration and moisture, especially with all of the elements we are subjected to every day; from the cold weather to the office air con it’s important to treat our skin right.

While heavy moisturisers may leave oily skin feeling clogged and heavy, finding a light-weight, water-based and most importantly non-oily moisturiser, your skin can get what it needs without risking outbreaks.

Waking up without your phone has to be one of the worst causes of Sunday Fear.

Luckily Irish lad Dara Munnis was able to retrace his steps to a Chinese restaurant in Dublin to retrieve the phone he'd lost over the weekend.

To make the outcome even sweeter, Dara was left with an epic video message from the two Welsh girls who'd come upon his phone and handed it in "at reception."

This video is currently doing the rounds on Reddit – you have to watch it for the brilliant Welsh accents accents alone. And the eyebrows too, of course…

An innocent exchange went VERY wrong for One Direction singer Liam Payne last night, when he brought the wrath of the entire Justin Bieber fandom upon himself.

Just hours earlier, the singer had been busy tweeting his long term girlfriend Sophie Smith to let her know he was missing her – but the sweet moment didn't last long!

The drama started when a particularly crazy Belieber made a comment at Liam's expense, writing, "@Real_Liam_Payne Isn't it kinda depressing for you to know that Justin Bieber will always be more successful than you?"

Liam gets thousands of Twitter notifications every day but this message obviously struck a nerve as the singer soon replied, writing, "@arianasmccann how many times have I been arrested," referencing Justin's less-than-perfect legal record.

That would have been the end of that – if Ariana (and thousands of other Bieber-crazy fans) hadn't continued to plague Liam with insults for the rest of the evening, calling him "pathetic," "a whale" and an "untalented, embarrassing joke."

Ouch.

Even after receiving spades of online abuse, Liam managed to stay relatively cool, posting a series of tweets to try and calm things down.

Unfortunately he didn't act soon enough though as the hashtag #LIAMHASNOCHILL began trending on Twitter almost instantly.

Poor Liam – we bet he'll be staying off Twitter for a while!

Here at SHEmazing! we just love to hear about inspiring and positive Irish women – and they certainly don't get more incredible than Eimear Coghlan.

Eimear was diagnosed with Grade 3 invasive breast cancer on the 4th December 2014.

Now, four months into chemotherapy treatment, Eimear has been sharing her inspiring story on her fabulous blog, A Head With Style.

Her aim is to help and inspire other women who may be feeling lost and scared about losing their hair by sharing style and make-up tips, plus lots more. Eimear explained that this would have been something that would have helped her when she began chemo:

“I looked to the internet for inspiration to comfort me on my journey into the unknown and though I found blogs and pictures of people recording their hair growth and their strive back to normality, I couldn’t find anyone proudly embracing and rocking their bald look.”

So, that’s exactly what Eimear decided to do. Telling how her new bald look made her feel ‘powerful’ and ‘free’, Eimear began to think of exciting ways she could style her new look:

“I started to play around with earrings, jewellery and makeup as I wanted to celebrate my head and immediately I felt proud of my new shaved look.”

Love Your Head!

The 31-year-old says that she hoped to give comfort and inspiration to women who may be going through the same emotions she was when it came to shaving her head and embracing her bald look:

“The strong inside me needs to be reflected on the outside, if it isn’t then it pulls the inside me down like an anchor. It’s not superficial, it’s a necessity. Style and accessories help keep both inside and outside me in synch. Own your look, rock your look, love your look. Then you’re ready to face anything.”

We have no doubt that Eimear’s incredible positive and inspirational outlook on life will be a great source of comfort to many women going through the same thing.

You can check out Eimear’s blog here and catch her on Facebook too for daily tips and inspiration on how to rock your look, no matter what.

Former X Factor contestant Stephanie Nala has opened up a about a terrifying incident on Twitter after a night out went wrong.

The singer, who appeared on the most recent series of the TV talent competition, got a fright on Sunday when she woke up in a hospital bed, and took to Twitter to warn her followers to stay safe.

"Did not expect to be in hospital this morning," she wrote. Stephanie's fans were quick to respond, with one writing, "Steph you're worrying me, are you okay baby?" and another saying, "woah what's happened."

After a day of recovery at home, the singer gave some further explanation, though she didn't go into detail.

"Girls especially.. Be so careful when you're out. Something really bad happened to me the other night. Just be extra careful," she wrote in a now-deleted tweet, following it up with another message which read, "Don't want to worry anyone. Just want people to be aware of certain things when they're out. I am all good now and home xxx."

On Saturday night Stephanie had tweeted her excitement at the prospect of a big night out, writing, "Haven't had a good night out in a while. Time to celebrate."

It's unclear what happened later in the evening but we are glad to hear Stephanie is safe and well all the same.

Two years ago, actress Angelina Jolie revealed she had undergone a double masectomy as a preventative measure against breast cancer, for which she had an extremely high risk factor.

Now the actress, who has three adopted children and three biological children with her husband Brad Pitt, has opened up about the second invasive surgery she recently had to remove her fallopian tubes and ovaries.

The decision came when Angelina's doctor told her that her annual cancer screen showed "inflammatory markers" which could be a sign of early ovarian cancer, she explained in a New York Times opinion piece. The actress' own mother died of ovarian cancer after being diagnosed aged 49.

"I went through what I imagine thousands of other women have felt. I told myself to stay calm, to be strong, and that I had no reason to think I wouldn’t live to see my children grow up and to meet my grandchildren," Angelina said.

"I called my husband in France, who was on a plane within hours. The beautiful thing about such moments in life is that there is so much clarity. You know what you live for and what matters. It is polarising, and it is peaceful."

Although a second round of test results five days later showed that the 39-year-old actress was still cancer-free, she decided to undergo the surgery anyway to fully remove the risk.

"To my relief, I still had the option of removing my ovaries and fallopian tubes and I chose to do it," she said, making sure to let women know that there are other options too. "I feel deeply for women for whom this moment comes very early in life, before they have had their children," she admitted.

"Their situation is far harder than mine. I inquired and found out that there are options for women to remove their fallopian tubes but keep their ovaries, and so retain the ability to bear children and not go into menopause. I hope they can be aware of that."

Whatever the outcome, Angelina says she is content in her decision. "I will not be able to have any more children, and I expect some physical changes. But I feel at ease with whatever will come, not because I am strong but because this is a part of life. It is nothing to be feared."

What a brave move to speak out about such a difficult choice – well done Angelina.

While Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik deal with their relationship woes, it seems that Liam Payne is feeling some hurt of his own.

The singer took to Twitter last night to send his girlfriend Sophia Smith a very sweet message, telling her he misses her – aww!

Posting a photo of Sophia looking gorgeous in a light-coloured one-piece swimsuit, Liam wrote: “I really miss you.” How sweet!

Liam and Sophia have been dating since 2013 but are old friends, having gone to school together.

The One Direction star’s display of love comes at a difficult time for his bandmates with Zayn currently signed off with stress, thought to be related to relationship woes with Perrie Edwards.

Meanwhile, a rep for the band confirmed that Louis Tomlinson and his long-term love Eleanor Calder have split after four years together

Today marked the 25th anniversary of Pretty Woman's release, and the film is still a firm favourite with women everywhere.

The modern-day (well, 90s) Cinderella tale might not be a perfect love story, but in reality, what love story ever is?

Richard Gere was of course the film's Prince Charming but it's Julia Roberts that makes us want to watch this movie time and time again. Vivian – what a lady!

Here are just a few of the times she won us over…

1. When she had a no-bullsh*t attitude towards safe sex
A buffet of safety.

2. When she sang her heart out to Prince while taking a bath
She is basically our spirit animal in this scene…

3. When she gave that snobby Rodeo Drive shop assistant a piece of her mind
YOU SAID IT, VIVIAN.

4. When she was blatantly honest about how much she loved the opera
"She said she liked it better than Pirates of Penzance."

5. Anytime she did her giant, infectious laugh
Gets us every time!

6. When she was honest about what she wanted
Stick to your guns, Viv.

7. And basically the entire last scene
The two of them are so goddamn cute!

There’s very exciting news for Beyoncé fans today as the news has leaked that she will be starring in upcoming movie The Big Short!

The star-studded cast already features major Hollywood players such as Brad Pitt, Ryan Gosling, Steve Carrell and Christian Bale – and now Queen Bey!

However, it is believed the news was not meant for the attention of the public quite yet and was accidentally leaked by author of The Big Short, Michael lewis.

Speaking on CBS, the author of the book on which the movie is based, speaks about the cast adding “and I think Beyoncé”. Oops!

This will be far from Bey’s first film however, as she has actually starred in TEN since 2001 although her last big screen appearance was in the animated film Epic in 2013.

We can’t wait to see where this goes.

Model Suki Waterhouse has revealed her rather unusual beauty trick…and we are completely intrigued.

Speaking to US Weekly, the stunning model revealed that to keep her hair ‘tousled’ she uses Coca-Cola!

Yes – she uses coke in her HAIR!

Erm, really?!

According to Suki, it leaves her hair looking perfect: “I don’t like my hair when it’s washed – it’s fine and limp – but Coca-Cola makes it tousled, like I’ve been through the Amazon or something.”

We’ve heard of beauty gurus using beer, eggs, honey and even mayonnaise to keep hair in condition – but Coca-Cola?! Now that’s a new one.

Will you be giving Suki’s hair tip a try?
