Music mogul, Simon Cowell has revealed the real reason behind Nicole Scherzinger’s exit from the X Factor.

Simon said Nicole wouldn’t be joining the 2014 X Factor panel, as he predicted the former Pussycat doll would have clashed with Cheryl.

Cowell said: “I didn’t think the two of them would work well together.”

Perhaps the reason Simon believes that Nicole and Cheryl would’ve clashed on the judging panel was as a result of the pair previously working together on the 2011 show of X Factor USA.

Cheryl was a judge on the show, while Nicole was a co-host with Steve Jones. But Cole was soon fired from the show a few days after starting and was immediately replaced by Scherzinger.

Simon has admitted that he was keen on the idea of Mel B joining the judging panel.

“I like Mel B. We’ve got about a month to decide and we’re meeting a lot of people. A lot of it actually depends on how much work they are willing to put in during the week.”

Well whoever will be joining the panel one thing is for sure, they have to get along with Cheryl.

The speculations continue as to whether Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber are in fact, back together.

Pictures have been released of Gomez visiting Bieber’s recording studio yesterday.

It seems that Justin was working in the studio with 15-year-old singer, Madison Beer when Selena popped in for a visit.

Madison’s mum shared snaps of Selena on Instagram with the caption: “And now this beauty comes to visit.”

In the past month the on and off couple have been sending cryptic pictures on their Instagram accounts, which have believed to be targeted to each other.

It was even speculated at one stage that Selena was engaged to Justin.

We might never know for definite if these are actually in fact back together, but they sure like to keep us guessing.

New app aims to slim down your selfie

A new app lets users make themselves look thinner in their selfies.

The app – SkinneePix – can apparently shave anywhere from five to 15 pounds off your snap.

“It’s not complicated. No one needs to know. It’s our little secret,” its description reads.

The app was created by Robin J. Phillips and Susan Green, co-founders of a company called Pretty Smart Women.

“When you’re taking a selfie you’re also dealing with bad lighting, angles, close-ups and a lot of other factors that make people complain that the photo isn’t an accurate representation of themselves,” said Green.

The women claim that SkinneePix is not meant to harm women’s body image, and that they are not “trying to contribute to that in any way.”

The creators said the app caps the weight-loss effect at 15 pounds and limits it to the face, not the entire body.

A post-mortem examination into the death of Peaches Geldof has proved inconclusive pending the results of toxicology tests.

The mum-of-two was found dead at her home in Kent in south east England on Monday.

Police have said her death is being treated as a “non-suspicious, unexplained sudden death”.

Kent Police said officers are continuing to investigate the circumstances around the 25-year-old’s death and a toxicology report could take several weeks.

Peaches was a young girl when her mum Paula Yates died tragically from an overdose in 2000.

She was married to musician Thomas Cohen and they had two sons, Astala, who is almost two, and 11-month-old Phaedra.

Fifi Geldof paid tribute to her younger sister in a message on her Instagram account yesterday which read, “My beautiful baby sister . . . Gone but never forgotten. I love you, Peaches x.”

The note was alongside a picture of the two sisters pulling faces in a garden when they were young girls.

3. Displaying your haul on your bed is so satisfying-

4. Fighting with other shoppers over the last S/S 2014 essential kimono even though you don’t need it, But you want it.

5. Getting lost once inside but being secretly happy to ditch your friends just so you can browse easier

6. Tights – Who the hell buys tights in river island? Or Topshop ? or even forever 21- not Irish girls thats who-

Jessie J has had to defend herself after coming under fire for declaring that her bisexuality was a ‘phase’.

The pop star had said she had dated boys and girls in the past, but in an interview this week, Jessie revealed that she no longer identifies herself as bisexual.

The former The Voice coach said, “For me, [bisexuality] was a phase. But I’m not saying bisexuality is a phase for everybody.”

However, last night, the 26-year-old singer took to Twitter to face up to the backlash over her comments.

“The hate on my TL is uncalled for and ridiculous,” said Jessie. “I apologise to anyone who is offended by me calling dating girls a ‘phase’ but I have to be honest with me for me. And for me it was. What else do I call it if I no longer have a want for it anymore? I’m talking for me remember. Not you.”

She added, “I didn’t generalise, I didn’t say bisexuality isn’t real. It is for some and some people grow up dating both men and woman forever. And that’s ok. And some don’t. Simple. And I don’t have any reason to lie?”

Jessie didn’t go into detail about the messages she had received, but implied that some abuse suggested she only identified herself as bisexual in order to get ahead in the music industry.

“I won’t stand down and be made to feel like I have killed someone or said something that deserves the messages I am currently receiving,” she added. “I did and still do stand for love who you love, whichever gender that is. And I will continue to stand for it and just not act on it because I don’t want to. It isn’t who I am.”
