Rapper loses $16m lawsuit after being sued by headphones company
Rapper 50 Cent has lost a lawsuit against a headphones company who have sued him for $16.1 million.
The Candy Shop rapper – who’s real name is Curtis Jackson – has been ordered by a judge to pay the sum to Sleek headphones after a planned deal to market his own range with the company fell through.
The star reportedly invested more than $1 million to start his line, before deciding to create another set of headphones with a different company.
Court documents reportedly show Sleek were “stunned” when they found the ‘Sync by 50’ headphones were “basically the same design, mechanically” as the pair they had developed.
Sleek also claimed the rapper and his assistants stole confidential information from a website they developed to promote the headphones before they were produced.
Court documents show Sleek sued the rapper for breaching his fiduciary duty, participating in a civil conspiracy, misappropriating trade secrets, breaching his confidentiality agreement and being unjustly enriched.
The rapper instead claimed Sleek “fraudulently induced” him into entering into an investment and breaching their fiduciary duties to him.

Pop star plans to “re-evaluate” her life after last album flopped
It’s back to the drawing board for singer Jessie J after she admitted her last album didn’t go down so well with fans.
The 26-year-old pop star released Alive in September 2013, and though it debuted at number three in the UK charts, it quickly fell down the top 40. The singer’s singles also struggled, with her most recent, Thunder, peaking at number 13.
This is a very different story from Jessie’s début album Who You Are, which went four times platinum and sparked two number one singles.
The singer now plans to release new music soon in order to get music lovers back on her side.
“I’m very aware of how Alive sold, which is why right now I’m working on new music to be put out ASAP,” said the celebrity. “I’m a businesswoman as well as an artist and I’m aware Alive didn’t do as well as Who You Are, but that doesn’t mean I’m a flop.”
The singer is now “re-evaluating” herself in order to ensure her third album is more successful.
She added, “It doesn’t mean I’m not talented. It just means I have to re-evaluate what’s going on in my life and what I can improve. It’s funny that people tell me like I wouldn’t see it.
“One year Yves Saint Laurent is the biggest-selling clothing line and the next it’s D&G. You can’t be the person at the top all the time.”

The two are said to be starring in upcoming Universal movie, The Nest, about two sisters who arrive back to their family home to find it up for sale and have one last crazy weekend.
The movie will be directed by Pitch Perfect‘s Jason Moore.
Amy and Tina have long been a funny force to be reckoned with and have collaborated on many movies such as Mean Girls and Baby Mama.
They have also hosted The Golden Globe awards together on two occasions.

TV star to leave show for bright lights of Hollywood
Patsy Palmer is quitting EastEnders after getting some very exciting offers from Hollywood.
Patsy’s character Bianca Jackson became a household name soon after she joined the soap in 1993 thanks to her fiery nature and her rocky relationship with ‘Rickkkkkkky!’ Butcher.
“Patsy is really sad to be leaving the show as she loves playing Bianca and working with (EastEnders) executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins but she knows it’s the right decision at this time in her life,” a spokesperson confirmed.
The 41-year-old actress is said to be swapping Walford for the LA scene to embark on a once in a lifetime opportunity with her family.
The mum-of-four is said to have gotten some exciting offers from Hollywood producers and is planning on moving her family over there soon after her time in EastEnders come to an end.
Patsy won’t be leaving Albert Square until the autumn so there’s still a lot more to come from her on screen this year.
