Ah, the humble hangover. Waking up on Sunday morning (or Monday if you’re really hardcore), there are a sweet few moments before you open your eyes or try to speak that you think maybe, just maybe, you’ll be okay. And then it hits – blinding headache, dodgy tummy and a distinct taste of mouldy carpet in your mouth. Ideal.

During times of extreme Fear, you’ve no choice but to implement a “no judgies” policy and take to the couch with a duvet and huge amounts of food. It’s the only way to survive!

Here are some of the delicacies we’ve often turned to when our hangovers were just too much to handle…

1. The classic chicken fillet roll
During the week a Spar chicken roll is something we only dream of, but on a bleak hungover morning, it becomes not just a want but an urgent NEED. White baguette, breaded chicken (the spicy version if your tummy is up to it), lettuce for that “healthy” touch and a rake of mayo or butter. Take a bite. Smile. Repeat.

2. Crisp sandwiches
Whether Tayto, King or Hunky Dorys are your salty snack of choice, a bag of crisps is made precisely 108 times better when sandwiched between two slices of white bread. This is the ultimate comfort food option for when you’re in need of a little TLC.

3. A cold bottle of Club Orange/Lucozade/Powerade
Sure, a green smoothie full of kale is probably a far better option to help your body on the road to recovery, but sometimes we just need a sugar hit. Everyone has a fizzy drink or energy drink they deem the best “cure” – whatever yours is, get it into you!

4. McDonald’s
This is best bought in the Drive-Thru and eaten in the sanctuary of your own home, where nobody will look at you twice for working your way through the entire Eurosaver menu. You’ll probably feel even worse afterwards, but now’s not the time to dwell on such trivial matters.

5. Hair of the dog
For some, the thought of cracking open a can of cider or a bottle of wine is enough to have them running for the toilet bowl, but for others, it’s the only way to get through a hangover. Whatever works for you!

7. TEA. All of the tea.
Us Irish turn to tea to cure all ailments – heartbreak, stress, tiredness, and of course, hangovers. Get the kettle on and make sure you have your favourite cup ready and waiting – you’ll be on the mend in no time!

Oh, the single ladies at Flora Montgomery and Soren Jessen's wedding in Co. Down last Saturday must have been DE-lighted when they spotted the one and only Orlando Bloom walk in – without a date!

The Lord of the Rings star celebrated with his friends at Greyabbey grounds, and even had a few drinks in a local pub in Donaghdee – which surprised a few locals!

He was the perfect gentlemen when asked him to stop for a photo too, which is always a sign of a good celebrity:

We have to say, he looked very happy and relaxed on the day – perhaps safe in the knowledge that there would be no chance of that pesky Justin Bieber turning up!

He wasn’t the only star out socialising in Ireland either – Outkast were spotted in the queue for Coppers on Saturday night too!

Why, oh why did we choose to have a cosy Staurday night in this weekend?!

Demi Lovato has often spoken out about being bullied when she was younger, so it’s no wonder she responded the way she did when cruel online bullies made fun of her little sister Maddie, who was severe scoliosis.

The 12-year-old girl posted a vine to Twitter, and when the bullies noticed she had a slight hump in her back, they started making fun of her. They even made a twitter account called ‘hunchbackluvsu1’ where they posted a photo of a camel with a (badly) photoshopped Demi on top. The caption read: “Love you Demi”.

When her big sister saw what was going on, she contacted the bully herself:

She also publicly defended her little sister on her own Twitter account:

We don’t blame Demi for reacting the way she did – Maddie is lucky to have such a feisty sister on her side!

Some of us are just natural worriers and can’t think about anything without considering the absolute worst case scenario. Even if you can’t help stressing out every once in a while, there are certain things that just aren’t worth the energy of getting into a flap about…

Not having plans on a Friday night
Scrolling through Facebook, all you see are #partaaaaaay statuses and pictures of snazzy cocktails. Who cares though if you’re not out painting the town red tonight? Every self-respecting woman knows that an evening of Netflix, wine and pyjamas DOES in fact equal plans.

What your friends have achieved versus what you’ve achieved
Just because your best pal landed a dream job right out of college does not mean you should be beating yourself up about your current unemployment. Sometimes life throws a curve ball at you – believe in your abilities and remember that you have plenty of time to make your mark, too.

Not drinking enough water
Way back when, someone decided that eight glasses of water was the perfect amount for each of us to consume every day. Truth is though, we get water from many sources, so don’t add how much of it you’re drinking to your list of worries. Juice, coffee and tea all contain water, as do fruit, veg and even rice and pasta.

Overusing social media
Every generation has their bad habits, and if ours is that we rely on Twitter and Facebook too much, so what? Our own kids will be “addicted” to something else, as were our parents before us. It’s all good.

Settling down
Whether you feel pressure to move in with your long-term boyfriend, or if you’re worried that you’ve had a few too many one-night stands, it’s time to realise just how little these things will really matter in ten years’ time. You’re young! Enjoy your life and deal with all the grown-up stuff later.

What other people think
If there’s one thing you should DEFINITELY not waste your time worrying about, it’s what other people think of your actions, your opinions or your style. Firstly, most people are too busy stressing about their own lives to notice what you’re doing with yours, and secondly, anyone who makes you feel bad about yourself should not be a part of your social circle in the first place.

Jennifer Lawrence was trending on Twitter last night after nude photos of her were leaked online, along with 100 other celebrities.

A hacker obtained old cell phone photographs of different stars through iCloud and published them online. He/she also said they were accepting Paypal donations for a video which apparently showed J-Law carryring out a sex act.

While other stars who were targeted have denied the authenticity of the photos (Disney star Victoria Justice tweeted: “These so called nudes of me are FAKE people. Let me nip this in the bud right now. *pun intended*”), Jennifer’s representatives have confirmed that the photos are real:

“This is a flagrant violation of privacy. The authorities have been contacted and will prosecute anyone who posts the stolen photos of Jennifer Lawrence.”

Other celebrities who were victims of the hacking include Jennifer Lopez, Ariana Grande, Cat Deeley, Kim Kardashian, Michelle Keegan, Rihanna, Selena Gomez, Kelly Brook and Final Desitnation actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

Winstead took to Twitter to comment on the leaked photos:

Actor Seth Rogen also showed his distaste for the hacker in a couple of tweets:

Whoever is behind the act of invasion must have A LOT of time on their hands, as they targeted so many celebrities. Check out the list of victims:

We can only imagine how awful these women must feel knowing private photos are circulating the web – we hope they get whoever is to blame. Though, we're glad Anna Kendrick got the opportunity to post this fantastic reply to her brothers text!

A video has just been released of a teenage Katy Perry talking about make-up, and really missing her parents.

In the behind the scenes video, taken by Jim Standridge just after she was signed to Red Hill Records in 2001, the singer shows the cameraman around her messy tour bus.

She then goes back to the mirror to put her make-up on. "Yeah, I'm pretty conceited," she says.

"I usually put loads of make-up on because I'm a pizza face. Would you like pepperoni or cheese?" she jokes.

The Roar star then talks about getting nervous, especially "when she knows people in the audience," before some of her live footage flashes up.

She also talks about missing her parents.  "You know when you hate your parents so much you miss them?" she says welling up.

Aw Katy! You were a lovable star in the making, even back then!

Hollywood actress Cameron Diaz celebrated her birthday last night, and we just can’t believe what age she is!

The actress was treated to a surprise 42ND (!!) birthday party thrown by A-list pals including Drew Barrymore and Chris Martin.

Make-up artist Gucci Westman shared snaps of the festivities on Instagram where Drew, Boston Legal star Lake Bell, Coldplay frontman Chris, and an array of other pals were snapped having fun.

In a celebrity huddle to rival Ellen’s famous Oscars selfie, the gang seemed to be having a ball!

“Best surprise #birthday for @camerondiaz!! @drewbarrymore”, the make-up artist captioned the pic.

We’re pretty sure that’s Cameron’s rocker boyfriend Benji Madden in one of the snaps! So sweet!

Former Made in Chelsea star Millie Mackintosh thinks that Kate Middleton wears “too much eyeliner” and wants to give her a make-over!

Oh no, she didn’t!

"I would love to give the Duchess of Cambridge a makeover. I think Kate wears too much eyeliner," Millie said.

"She would look great if she toned down the eyes, wore some bright lipstick and mixed up her hairstyle – a scraped-back high pony would look fantastic.

"She'd look great in one of my little wrap dresses as she has such a gorgeous body and I think it would be fun – less middle-aged – and a bit sexier without being too revealing,” she added.

We wonder how Kate would react to this style advice!

Kelly Brook has revealed that she hit two of her ex-boyfriends.

In one extract in her upcoming book Close Up, Kelly reveals that she lashed out at two of her ex-boyfriends, Jason Statham and Danny Cipriani.

Kelly started dating Jason in 1998, and they were together for seven years, but there was trouble when they went to Madonna's wedding to Guy Ritchie.

Kelly said she saw red when she saw him talking to Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow.

She said, "Jason started to swing his hips from side to side and do a little jive with his arms, saying: "Gywnnie, Gwynnie, Gwynnie. Sexy, sexy, sexy!..He turned round, only to be met with my fist in his face."

Danny also faced Kelly's wrath after they were at the Spearmint Rhino strip club together in Las Vegas and Kelly discovered her beau had given her number to a stripper.

She said, "As I headed back to the table, I saw Danny walking towards me. "Babe", he said, "I've been looking for you!" I punched him straight in the face."

Kelly revealed that four bouncers leaped on her, before she tried to have another 'pop' at her boyfriend.

Woah – temper much Kelly?
