In the name of body-positivity Demi Lovato is baring it all in her new Vanity Fair photo shoot.

The “spontaneous, nude, make-up free” shoot took place this week with photographer Patrick Ecclestine. Demi was “suddenly inspired” to pose for a series of portraits with only three rules.

Those were: “no make-up, no clothes, no retouching”- and she looks incredible!

In her interview with the magazine, Demi explained where the idea for the shoot came from:

“If there’s one thing I’ve learned in the past day, it’s that life is too short,” she said. “I’m about to launch an album that finally represents who I truly am. How do I embrace this new chapter in my life?”

Just days prior to the shoot, Demi’s great-grandfather Buddy Moore passed away aged 83.

She told the magazine that she was inspired to live in the moment:

I want to show the side of me that’s real, that’s liberated, that’s free. What if we do a photo shoot where it’s totally raw?

Super-sexy, but no makeup, no fancy lighting, no retouching, and no clothing. Let’s do it here, let’s do it now.”

Demi, who has been open about her previous struggles with depression, eating disorders and addiction; explained that she would never have imagined getting to a point where she felt comfortable enough to do a nude shoot.

“It’s empowering, and it shows other women that you can get to a place where you can overcome the obstacles of body-image issues, and you can feel comfortable and confident in your skin.”

Ecclesine explained that Demi had very limited experience posing nude before and when she arrived at the shoot, at midnight emotionally and physically exhausted, he felt he “had to be respectful of that and tread lightly.”

"When I left her at three in the morning, she gave me a quick hug and thanked me for making her feel pretty. I thanked her for her confidence," he concluded.

The folks behind Tinder had a major meltdown on Twitter last night, in response to a Vanity Fair article published this week.

The offending piece, written by journalist Nancy Jo Sales, quotes a psychology professor who said that Tinder has a negative effect on males' view of monogamous relationships. According to the professor, "the impression that there are thousands or millions of potential mates” encouraged men to engage in 'a short-term mating strategy.'"

It also said in the article that Tinder is the cause of the rising number of divorces happening all over the world and the growing number of unstable relationships.

But an unidentified Tinder employee hit back at the journalist and the company in a never-ending series of epic tweets, It has to be seen to be believed….

Now THAT'S a rant and a half.

This month Vanity Fair have given Taylor Swift the title ‘Captain of the #GirlSquad’ as she features on the magazine’s cover.

As she’s travelled around the globe for her 1989 tour, there has been one trend the public can’t help but notice. Taylor has an awful lot of famous friends, and she loves inviting them on stage with her.

I ADORE THESE GIRLS. @angelcandices @lilyaldridge @marhunt @uzoaduba @karliekloss @behatiprinsloo @gigihadid

Her posse of female celebs is, according to Tay-Tay herself, “so much more important than some guy that it didn't work out with.”

She has revealed however that there are girls in the group who share more than a love of onesies and Taylor’s company, admitting “We even have girls in our group who have dated the same people.”

We thought so. Taylor went on to say that instead of their shared love lives generating some awkward moments for the gang, she thinks they have more important things to worry about.

“Now more than ever we need to be good and kind to each other and not judge each other – and just because you have the same taste in men, we don’t hold that against each other.” The Bad Blood singer counts Karlie Kloss, Lena Dunham, Gigi Hadid, Selena Gomez and tennis superstar Serena Williams as some of the many who have joined her on tour this year.

She also said that when it came to addressing her issues with tech giant Apple, her mom was the person whose opinion she valued most.

She said she told her: "I’m really scared of this letter, but I had to write it. I might not post it, but I had to say it."

Taylor revealed she relaxed her attitude towards love and dating in the last couple of years saying, “If I found someone who would never try to change me that would be the only person I could fall in love with.”

Considering her and Calvin Harris seemed more loved up than ever celebrating BFF Karlie Kloss’ birthday together it looks like the laid-back approach worked out.

Well, okay then!

While promoting his latest film Ant Man, Michael Douglas announced in an interview that he believes he is seriously packing below the belt.

And why is the 70-year-old talking about his penis in an interview you may ask?

To explain: When Vanity Fair’s George Wayne was speaking to Mr Douglas he began talking about famous movie stars and their prominent physical traits.

“Your father had his cleft chin. Omar Sharif had the gap in his teeth…” To which Michael smiled and retorted with, “I have a big dick.”

It certainly sounds like there was all kinds of R-rated penis jokes going around on the set of Ant Man, with the Wall Street star being by no means the only funny man around.

Speaking to Jimmy Fallon, Paul Rudd divulged one prank that he pulled during filming but that unfortunately did not go quite as planned.

He explained the incident that happened during filming saying, “I thought, I’m really gonna try and be buddy-buddy with the guy,” Paul said of Mr Douglas.

“We were doing a close-up, and I thought, you know what I’m gonna do? I’m gonna Basic Instinct him. When he’s speaking, I’m sitting in a chair across from him, and I’m going to, you know.”

Although, it turns out that the Oscar-winning actor didn’t quite get the joke. “I should’ve just stopped, and I didn’t, and it looked like I was basically pleasuring myself to Michael Douglas giving a monologue,” the This is 40 actor admitted.

“He just stopped and just looked at me and said, ‘What are you, a f***ing pervert?’ No smiles.”

We are so excited to see the hilarious back and forth between this wonderful duo in their new film, which comes out tomorrow.

Caitlyn Jenner could potentially be in talks in to model for Victoria Beckham’s clothing line.

It has been reported that the ex-Spice Girl has wanted to bring Caitlyn on board ever since the Vanity Fair shoot first came out.

A source close to Victoria has said that she has been a little bit obsessed with the magazine’s photoshoot.

Speaking to the Daily Star, the source said, “She thinks she looks absolutely stunning and desperately wants to style her, and even include her in an upcoming fashion campaign.”

It was also reported that Victoria is open to working with transgender models and that she “feels Caitlyn’s glamourous style and Amazonian figure would work perfectly with her clothes.”

“She really believes in supporting Caitlyn and the transgender movement,” the source continued to comment.

While Victoria is eager to work with Caitlyn, she didn’t feel this way when the opportunity arose to work with Ms Jenner’s stepdaughter, Kim Kardashian.

The 41-year-old fashion designer declined a request from Kim to design her wedding dress for her marriage ceremony last year.

It was reported that Ms Beckham didn’t accept the offer because she thought it would “devalue” her work.

A source told the Daily Star at the time that “Kim was desperate to wear a VB dress for her big day but Victoria deals with the very A-list of the showbiz world, including royals, and doesn’t want to be dragged into the world of reality stars.”

While Kim K obviously isn’t the right calibre of reality star, it looks like her 65-year-old stepmother fits Victoria’s bill.

After being left devastated back in August when private nude images were leaked from her iCloud account, Jennifer Lawrence has no doubt been vigilant about her personal privacy.

The actress was one of around 100 celebrities affected by a scandal known as "The Fappening" which began when hackers published intimate nude photos online after illegally obtaining them through the victims' iCloud accounts. Though many celebs were quick to deny the photos of them were real, Jennifer's rep was one of the few who did confirm their authenticity.

The actress has since spoken about out the hacking, saying, "It is not a scandal. It is a sex crime. It is a sexual violation. It’s disgusting.”

In what must have been a difficult decision, Jennifer has now taken part in her first ever nude photoshoot for Vanity Fair magazine, giving a proper two fingers up to the hackers who invaded her privacy.

In the image released on Vanity Fair's Instagram, the actress poses seductively with a boa constrictor draped across her body:

Gorgeous! The image was captioned, "Girl Meets Boa: #JenniferLawrence, photographed by Patrick Demarchelier for Vanity Fair. Pick up the March 2015 issue for the full Spotlight."

It turns out the photos were actually taken in late July of last year, just a month before the hacking scandal emerged, but we can understand why both Jennifer and Vanity Fair would wait until now to publish them.

The photo was inspired by the 1981 Vogue portrait of Nastassja Kinski, shot by legendary photographer Richard Avedon.

Speaking about the modern revamp of the daring image, Vanity Fair's style director Jessica Diehl said that Jen was the perfect choice for the shoot. "Jennifer has the perfect combination of strength, sexuality and humor, and, above all, tomboy to pull this off," she said. We agree!

Though she looks cool as a cucumber in the photo, Vanity Fair did note that the actress became "uncomfortable when the snake took a fancy to her neck." Eh, we don't blame her…

If you're a cinema fan you'll love this short film, in which some of Hollywood's most iconic film scenes are recreated by British actors.

Keira Knightley, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hiddleston, Felicity Jones, James Corden, Dame Judi Dench and others all star in the Vanity Fair project, one of three shorts shot by London based photographer Jason Bell.

The video coincides with Vanity Fair's annual blockbuster Hollywood Issue, which this year focuses on the recent influx of amazing British actors to Tinseltown.

This is well worth a watch, if only to see Dame Judi Dench saying "I'll have what she's having"!

There’s been quite a few nostalgic throwbacks recently to Vanity Fair’s classic ‘Raining Teens’ cover of 2003, which boasted nine of the biggest up-and-coming young female stars of the time.

With the likes of Amanda Bynes, the Olsens, Hilary Duff and Lindsay Lohan gracing the front page, it seems like the most glamorous photo shoot in the world.

But actress Evan Rachel Wood, who was one of the chosen nine, has revealed her horror at being treated like “meat” during the ordeal.

Opening up on the darker and more disturbing side of Hollywood, the actress took to Twitter to share her thoughts on the shoot.

“I was almost in tears after this shoot. They tried that dress on me, I wasn’t comfortable but they told me there was no time…cause everyone else took up too much time with their fittings,” began the Thirteen star.

The 27-year-old goes on to recount how she wasn’t allowed to wear flat shoes, and how the girls were then “all lined up, stared at and approved”.

She added: “I was 15 and felt for the first time my identity being erased and the pressure…to shut up and do what you are told. I felt like meat.”

We always looked back fondly on this iconic cover page. It just goes to show that you never know what’s really going on behind-the-scenes.

Jennifer Lawrence is set to upset a LOT of people suffering with gluten-intolerance out there!

In her recent interview for Vanity Fair, in which she opened up about those nude snaps for the first time, Jen also speaks about what she’d like to find in a boyfriend.

During the conversation, Jennifer branded a gluten-free diet as “the new cool eating disorder” saying that those who follow such a diet are saying: “Basically I just don’t eat carbs.”

Ouch, Jen – those comments are going to sting a lot of people!

We wonder if Chris Martin has finally found his soulmate in Jennifer after years and years of uber healthy eating with Gwyneth Paltrow…

While many people today suffer from gluten intolerance, Jimmy Kimmel recently did a sketch in which he quizzed people on what gluten actually was (it didn't go well)…and as Jimmy says himself: "Some people can't eat gluten for medical reasons, but a lot of people in Los Angeles don't eat gluten because someone in their yoga class told them not to."

We think Jen agrees with you, Jimmy!

Vanity Fair has denied photoshopping their cover of the royal family to cover up Prince William's bald spot.

Many people had speculated that the cover appeared to show Prince William with a much more well-endowed crown (sorry) to the original image.

The magazine addressed the speculation by saying: "We did not Photoshop the cover to make Prince William appear to have more hair. We gave the image a poster-like palette. We added some shadow to Prince William to make the white type more legible, and to place more emphasis on Prince George.”

Although it does look like Prince William got a little help in the hair department (and what harm!) the cover looks great, and the family look cute and happy!
