Two years ago, the world was simultaneously shocked and mildly entertained by the epic disaster that was Fyre festival.

Billed as the ideal high-end music festival experience on a private island, the entire thing was a huge flop. 

The organisers were punished to the highest degree of the law for their recklessly poor management and organisation of the event, and were slapped with fines of $100 million in damages – and now Netflix is streaming a documentary on the entire sh*t-show. 

The 2017 summer getaway in the Bahamas was presented as the ultimate glamorous, high-end festival experience, with the promo video featuring celebrity models like Bella Hadid and Chanel Iman frolicking in the sun.

However, when festival attendees arrived to the private island in the Exumas, the festival was far from ready to host a high-quality experience, with limited infrastructure and only the most basic of essentials.

Blink-182, who were set to be headlining, pulled out  of the gig last minute on Thursday. 

Major Lazer, Skepta and Disclosure were also set to perform at the 3-day luxury festival.

Instead of being met with 5-star camping experiences, gourmet food, and all-star music acts, the attendees arrived to the island to find dilapidated tents, cheese sandwiches and a mass of cancelled acts. 

Some festival hopefuls paid up to $12,000 for their tickets.

The festival was meant to make a return in 2018, and would-be revellers who had purchased tickets to the 2017 disaster had the option of being refunded their original ticket in full, or receiving an upgrade to a VIP Package for the 2018 festival. 

Hopefully not many chose the latter, as no second festival went ahead in 2018, after organiser Billy McFarland was sentenced to six years in prison in March of this year on fraud.

The documentary will showcase the rise and fall of the festival. 

Fyre debuts January 18th, 2019.

Sadly, the singer lost her life in 2011 to alcohol poisoning at just 27-years-old.

At that time, many people criticised Blake for "cashing-in" on Amy's death by selling stories, but he soon faded from the public eye.

That's why we were surprised to see him on Good Morning Britain.

Blake said that their dependency on the substances had been exaggerated by the press.

"The drug thing has been attributed to me for years. Me and Amy only used drugs together maybe six months of our marriage. I did heroin maybe four or five times."

He also added that he felt he was the only one who has owned up in contributing to the star's death.

Blake continued to defend his actions when Piers Morgan suggested that he had made money from Amy's death by selling the stories about their marriage.

“The story that I sold was more about me taking responsibility for Amy’s situation at the time," he explained.

“To call it cashing in is a bit misleading. I would have done it without any payment. The reasons that I ended up taking money was that I had been in a situation or through my own sort of doing, where I found it really hard to get a job for a long time. Blake has moved on and is in a relationship, and has two children.

Although he admits that he still harbours feelings for the singer.

We don't really know how we feel about this one but we certainly do miss Amy.

She captioned the image: “Marital bliss they say”.

According to India Today, the lovebirds are honeymooning in Oman’s Six Senses Zighy Bay – a breathtaking beachside resort on the Arabian Peninsula.

The resort has the best of both worlds as it has its own private marina as well as stunning mountain views.

However, it seems that they were able to steal away for the post-wedding honeymoon before getting back to their busy schedules.

Sheeran himself commented on the feat through his Instagram account, writing;

This essentially confirms the fact that it's the most popular song in the world, which is no easy achievement.

That's not all the records that Sheeran has broken, he has yet ANOTHER song in the top ten Spotify songs; Thinking Out Loud.

The 2014 ballad which is now played at every wedding ever sits at number five with 1.2 million streams… not bad, not bad.

Canadian rapper Drake’s single God’s Plan was the most listened-to song of 2018, with an impressive 1.1 billion streams.

Ariana Grande took the title of most listened to female artist of 2018 on Spotify, with her Sweetener album deservedly breaking numerous records. Slay queen.

Dubbed ‘The Christmas Comet’, it will be this year’s brightest comet yet and is going to be a sight you won’t want to miss.

Astronomers have revealed to EarthSky that it will pass closest to Earth on December 16, and it should be visible to the naked eye.

In fact, scientists have already captured some stunning images of the phenomenon, using telescopes and binoculars.

It’s scientific name is Comet 46p Wirtanen and it returns every five and half years.

In images, it can be seen glowing a gorgeous green colour and is so bright that it blocks out the light from surrounding stars.

While astronomers think of the comet as a scientific occurrence, we all know the truth.

Santa is coming to town a week early this year, and we’ll be able to see him pass over us.

For Dubliners, be sure to look up to the heavens at 5:40pm on December 16.

But there’s no rush, for the comet will be visible all night until 4:26am the following morning.

Hmmmm…sounds like ‘the comet’ has some important Christmas tasks to do around the neighbourhoods.

So feel free to make a night of it. Invite some friends, pick up some cans, and prepare for a rare and beautiful celestial event.

The letter is totes old school as it was handwritten and gushed over the 23-year-old.

It starts off with: “Dear Kendall, we may be miles apart but my love for you grows stronger & stronger by the minute. My innermost feeling is love for you.” 

“I will love you until death separates us. Right now this separation is killing me, but in my heart, I know that nothing could come close to separating us,” it added.

“We are united into one forever, body and soul and I want you to know that I love you from the deepest part of my heart,” it ended.

Of course, as the charmer signed off the note, Kendall went and blacked it out.

However, we have to admit we are loving this person's style – we know the men in our lives could learn a thing or two from this secret mystery man.

Romance is not dead and we look forward to finding out who Kendall's anonymous man is.

Our hearts go out to Cardi B, she is stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Recently, Offset has been very public about wanting the rapper back, and it must be tough.

They are still officially broken up but a source close to Cardi B said she's 'very torn' about their future.

Understandably, the-26-year-old "still loves" the Migos' member and you have to remember that they share five-month-old Kulture.

The split has "been really hard" for the pair, said the source.

Offset is "trying to win Cardi back" but our girl is sticking to her decision and is "not on board yet."

That doesn't really come as a surprise though as Offset allegedly had an affair with a 20-year-old model.

I'm sure we all remember the drama-fest that was One Tree Hill; it was your typical American high school teenage TV show which focused on romance, basketball, jocks, cheerleaders and everything in between. 

We were hooked, especially when news broke that Sophia Bush and Chad Michael Murray were engaged, and then subsequently broke up following the much-publicised cheating scandal with Paris Hilton.

In essence, it was discovered fairly quickly that our favourite literate basketball player, Lucas Scott, was trashy IRL.

Sophia Bush, who played Brooke Davis on the show, had an in-depth interview with Dax Shepard on his Armchair Expert podcast and spoke about the controversial break-up.

The 36-year-old actress reflected on her ex-husband and former co-star Chad Michael Murray, and alleges that the One Tree Hill producers exploited their split while the series was still airing on TV.

She commented;

“The reason that I don’t talk about it A) is because everyone’s been 21 and stupid, but if you’re in our job, for some reason, people want to talk to you about like, when you’re fully-fledged adults who’ve done really amazing s— with your lives, they wanna talk to you about the dumb thing you did in college basically."

"Which doesn’t make sense to me, ’cause like, in any other realm, if a CEO is having a meeting, no one’s gonna ask about the time they went to a kegger in college.”

She continued;

“What’s complex about this issue for me is that the person who I was 21 and stupid with is also an actor,” said Bush, who admitted that she was “a really naive kid.”

According to Bush;

“Being a super nerdy kid and suddenly you’re on TV and all this stuff is happening and one of the cool people you work with thinks you’re awesome, there’s really base brain stuff there. Chrissy Teigen turned a stunning 33 on November 30 and her dad OWNED present giving.

Although we are sure that the model was showered with all the usual celebrations, gifts and love on her special day – no one could top her dad.

Sharing a picture on Instagram of her dad and legendary tattoo artist Mark Mahoney, Chrissy was clearly CHUFFED with the results.

“MY DAD GOT A TATTOO OF ME FOR MY BIRTHDAY,” the 33-year-old wrote.

Diane, who’s character has turquoise hair in the film, went on to say that she wouldn’t have a problem with her daughter dyeing her hair the same colour.

In fact, she plans on allowing her daughter to make her own beauty choices.

“[That’s] an easy yes! Go for it — I wish my mom would have allowed me to do that,” she said.
