Wizards of Waverly place was a staple part of our teen years.

We must admit we felt extremely old when we heard one of the stars of the show was expecting their first child.

Seriously, fetch us the wrinkle cream.

Disney Channel alum David Henrie revealed he is to become a dad for the first time.

He posted the sweetest gender reveal video with his wife Maria Cahill.

"After getting married my life started to take on a meaning and importance that's indescribable," the actor wrote.

The dad-to-be added: "I cannot wait to see what being a poppa brings. I cannot wait!"

David and Maria shared a video where they revealed the gender of their first child. The duo popped a big black balloon and pink confetti poured over them, revealing they will be welcoming a daughter.

The parents-to-be jumped up and down when they discovered they were expecting a baby girl.

"I'm already singing 'I Loved Her First.' That reminds me. Where's my shotgun? I don't have a shotgun. Someone get me a shotgun!" he joked.

“I can’t wait to sit her down on a couch and tell her a 9 season story of How I Met Your Mother,” the 29-year-old gushed.

Fans showered the former Disney star with love following his huge news: “Congrats family! There is definitely magic in your world.”

Another added: “It is so weird seeing your favourite childhood stars become parents. It makes me feel old.”

Huge congrats to David and Maria. What an exciting time for the couple.

Lizzie McGuire will forever be one of our favourite childhood shows. There are so many things we loved (and miss) about the popular Disney classic.

We adored everything from Lizzie, Miranda and Gordo’s friendship to her stunning family home that we often wished we grew up in.

The show was a staple during those awkward years where we experienced first crushes, first kisses, first breakouts and our first bra fitting.

Star of the show Hilary Duff recently revealed her favourite episode of the show and we have to agree with the actress on this one, it is without a doubt one of the best.

The Disney star revealed the episode where Lizzie and Miranda go shopping for bras for the first time holds a special place in her heart.

She explained to Today: “I definitely think that the bra episode is one that stands out in my brain as being like first of all, really wanting it, 'cause I thought a bra was cool, and then second of all, being like, ‘How am I gonna get that? I have to talk to my parents about that. That's gonna be the worst thing ever.’”

The Younger star explained that the episode resonated with her because she was going through a lot of similar experiences at the same time, just like most of the Lizzie McGuire viewers.

I'll  never forget the pure fear I felt when my mam dragged me to a bra fitting at Marks and Spencers. It’s such a cringe-worthy but empowering moment. You kind of feel like a grown up, but you can’t help but turn bright red when the sales assistant returns to your dressing room with an arm full of frilly pink bras.

Now, if anyone needs us we’ll be binge-watching Lizzie McGuire for the foreseeable future.

I have a confession to make… I have seen Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again three times. I know, I know, there are so many incredible movies out at the moment, but there’s something about this cheesy film that I just can’t resist.

Sure, it is pretty cringe-worthy and goofy, but the touching storyline of Sophie and her family trying to cope with the loss of Donna really tugs at your heart strings.

Seeing the adventures of young Donna unfold on screen was really moving and extremely enjoyable because I was madly in love with the three actors playing young Sam, Bill and Harry.

Okay, maybe the main reason I keep going to see this film is Josh Dylan, but it is also the friendship, the setting (take me to Greece now, please) and glorious duo that is Julie Walters and Christine Baranski.

I promised myself I wouldn’t go see the movie a fourth time, however, when I spotted this upcoming event I broke that promise instantly.

The Lighthouse Cinema is hosting a sing-along screening of Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again and I will without a doubt be there singing (badly) along to every single word of every single song.

“One of the most popular films of Summer 2018 returns for a one day only Sing-Along event! Not that you'll need any encouragement singing ABBA songs but feel free to give it loads.”

“Get ready to sing and dance, laugh and love all over again.”

The screening takes place on September 16 and tickets are available here.

This is the dream musical event. What else would you do on a Sunday evening other than sing (badly) along to Waterloo and stuff your face with popcorn?

The September Issue is the most important issue of the year for any fashion publication.

Teen Vogue have chosen to celebrate and showcase diversity with their choice of models this September, featuring three models with disabilities.

At a time when the term 'clean eating' saturates our newsfeeds, it can feel like you're failing if you don't buy organic, cook from scratch or juggle avocados between TRX classes.

And life is complicated enough without forcing yourself into a corner when it comes to diet and nutrition, right?

So, sticking to five simple rules as often as possible is all you need to do to keep your physical health and emotional wellbeing in check.

1. Eat when you are hungry

And ONLY when you are hungry. If ever there was one rule to follow, it is this one.

Yes, it means forgetting all about this “finish your plate” plea you heard so much as a kid, but it is essential.

Basically, remember that your body isn’t a trash bin: don’t finish your plate if you are no longer hungry, and don’t say yes to the birthday cake in the office if you feel full already.

2. Eat your fruits and veg first

The idea here is not to only eat fruits and veg, but to eat as much as you can.

Automatically, if you only eat when you are hungry, that will reduce the amount of junk you put in your mouth.

3. Stay away from processed food

There are so many reasons to eat homemade food and to keep processed food at bay.

It is healthier, cheaper and most importantly, it tastes so much better!

4. Do not waste food

Buying in bulks is a good idea for long shelf-life products (rice, pasta, canned food) but sometimes, good deals can end up costing you more if it all ends up in the bin.

Learn how to buy according to your needs and freeze your leftovers.

5. Do not prevent yourself from enjoying social times

The one and only exception to rule #1 is holidays and family reunions. That’s right, you should have a slice (or three) of cheesecake at your cousin’s communion if you feel like it, just keep it in mind during your next exercise session and push yourself that bit extra.

Depriving yourself from enjoying social times because you want to lose weight or be healthy is too much of a waste, and life is too short to be constantly dieting.

Kylie Jenner, the indisputable driver of the lip filler trend, recently announced on Instagram that she has gotten rid of all of her fillers.

After rocking a pillowy pout since she was just 17, it seems that the new mum grew weary of her extreme lip look.

When Kylie first debuted her plumper pout, interest in the lip filler procedure skyrocketed, and the number of people going under the needle to obtain bigger lips has increased year on year in the three years since.

A post shared by Kylie (@kyliejenner) on

In the past, she admitted that she might have gotten carried away with the injections.

“When you first get them done, you’re like, ‘Oh, it could be a little bit bigger on that side.’ I’d go back and be like, ‘They went down’ and think they could be bigger. But I went too far.”

Celebrity culture takes a lot of responsibility for the trend, and Kylie and the rest of the Kardashian-Jenners in particular, but I don't accept that everyone getting lip fillers is getting them based on a celebrity trend.

A post shared by Kylie (@kyliejenner) on

Rake me across the coals, but I have lip fillers – and Kylie Jenner definitely wasn't my inspiration.

I feel like putting an aesthetic procedure down to a celebrity endorsement takes the autonomy away from the patient.

For me, I had always felt like my features lacked balance, having bigger eyes, wider cheekbones and a big nose, and teeny mouth.

I wanted even proportions throughout my features, and lip fillers seemed like a good place to start. I wasn't chasing Instagram perfection or Kardashian aesthetics.

A post shared by Kerry Hanaphy Ltd (@kerry.hanaphy) on

Aesthetic procedures are admittedly performed for the wrong reasons on occasion.

April Kavanagh of Nursecare Aesthetics, turns away young girls everyday who come to her practice brandishing photos of Kylie Jenner's Instagram.

'They absolutely have unrealistic expectations because of Kylie Jenner, They come in looking for a half ml of filler expecting to look bee-stung,' she told SHEmazing last year.

However, I think these are the outlier cases, those who do hold reality TV stars up on golden pedestals who would do anything to emulate the look.

A post shared by Kylie (@kyliejenner) on

For most of us mere mortals who have sought the assistance of the aestheticians needle, it's about creating an adjustment that makes you look (in your mind) better, rather than turning you into a celebrity Doppelganger.

'Lip fillers are not a bad thing," adds Kerry Hannaphy, who has worked on numerous clients in her South William Street clinic looking for a subtle improvement in lip volume or symmetry.

"I've had numerous emails about how it's improved the confidence of people, they feel so much better about themselves and they don't feel so depressed."

"It's aesthetics, so you look better, it's not about changing your features."

Strictly fever is well and truly in the air as we're mere days away from the first live show of the 2018 season.

For the last couple of weeks, we've been getting glimpses at the contestants, the professionals they'll be dancing with as well as other tidbits from the show.

The glitter, the gowns, bitchy resting face from Craig – it's all going to be gold.

Strictly's structure has stayed more or less the same over the years; generally each couple chooses a ballroom or the more feared Latin dance (these are pre-assigned, they can be a Waltz or a Rumba and so on) each week, and they only have a couple of minutes to pull out all the stops and impress the judges with a perfect routine.

A post shared by BBC Strictly (@bbcstrictly) on

The set list of dances has remained the same for the last several years, but today, the Strictly camp announced that this will be changing.

After the first few weeks of the new series – they will need time to find their feet – at least once celebrity contestant a week will be asked to perform a 'Couples Choice' dance alongside the other more traditional ones like the Cha Cha Cha and Salsa.

A post shared by BBC Strictly (@bbcstrictly) on

It will allow the couples to choose from one of three new dance styles we've not yet seen on the show – Contemporary, Street/commercial or theatre/jazz – which will showcase their celebrity’s skills best. This is now the 15th dance category in the show, and this addition is in place to add a more contemporary element to the glitterball surroundings, according to the organisers.

The Couple's Choice is the first new dance category to be added to Strictly for nine years when the Charleston was adding in Series Seven.

This does mean, however, that they're be less of the traditional elements to some of the routines, so it's probably just as well that Len Goodman is no longer on the judging panel!

The new series of Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC1 on Saturday, September 8th.

It's time to get off the couch and make an effort, according to this study.

Our lives of inactivity seem to be catching up with us, as a quarter of the world's population is becoming less and less active.

The figures on global inactivity have been released after scientists studied data collected by the World Health Organisation (WHO) – and it's not good news.

Researchers analysed data from 358 surveys across 168 countries, including 1.9 million participants.

They investigated trends in inactivity worldwide from 2001 to 2016.

And as you can probably guess, we didn't do so well.

Shockingly, almost 40 percent of Irish women didn't get enough physical activity in 2016.

The lads did only slightly better, with 30 percent of them not moving enough.

This is compared to global figures in 2016 with indicates that 27.5 percent of the world population aren't getting enough physical activity.

There is an eight percent different between men and women. Almost 32 percent of women do insufficient exercise, compared to 23.4 percent of men.

Sufficient exercise was classified in the report, as an individual doing at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity, or 75 minutes of vigorous-intensity physical activity per week, or any equivalent combination of the two.

The surveys took note of physical activity in work, at home, for transport and during leisure time – so we have no excuses.

Although Ireland didn't do so well, women in Latin America and the Caribbean had some of the highest levels of inactivity in 2016.

Some 43.7 percent of the their females populations weren't getting the required exercise.

The study suggests that living in a high income country, you're twice as likely not to get the exercise you need (36·8 percent), than in a low-income country (16·2 percent).

Additionally, it reports that insufficient activity has increased in high-income countries since 2001.

Our inactivity could be having serious health implications, according to the researchers.

The report published in The Lancet Global Heath journal, says: "Insufficient physical activity is a leading risk factor for non-communicable diseases, and has a negative effect on mental health and quality of life."

It warned if our current habits of insufficient activity continues, we will not reach our 2025 target.

"If current trends continue, the 2025 global physical activity target (a 10% relative reduction in insufficient physical activity) will not be met."

"Policies to increase population levels of physical activity need to be prioritised and scaled up urgently," it added.

Every little bit of movement makes a difference, so grab a friend or your favourite playlist and get out and about!

Or challenge yourself by joining a class or a team sport, you'll have some fun and might even make some new friends.

It has been confirmed that Cinderella will go on with out her later this year, according to the PHA Facebook page.

'Roxanne Pallett has today decided to step down from her upcoming role as Cinderella in Chesterfield, in order to take some time out and reflect on recent events.'

'We wish Roxanne the best and will be announcing her replacement in due course.'

Over 5000 people signed a Change.org petition calling for her resignation from the production.

'After the recent horrific display during her stint in celebrity big brother, I think it’s clear to see that this women is not the most desirable character to play the leading role in our local pantomime,' wrote the creater.

'I, for one, would boycott the event if she was still the leading role. '

Some who signed the petition left their own comments of contempt.

'There is no way that Roxanne can portray Cinderella after showing the vindictive and disgusting person she has shown herself to be. If she is playing in the panto, I won't be attending with my family,' said one.

'Disgusting to see her make a mockery of domestic violence and try destroying an innocent persons career,' said another.
