Very little details about the investigation are known, but Merseyside Police have released a statement confirming they are looking into the report.

A spokesperson for the force said: "Merseyside Police can confirm a report was received of an assault at a property on Thursday 9 March.

“Officers were contacted on Sunday, 12 March and an investigation into the incident is on-going.

Pizza is probably one of our (if not the) favourite meals here in Shemazing HQ.

You just can't beat a delicious crisp base with gooey cheese and any topping you fancy. Mmm…

So, when we found out a pizza festival is heading to the UK, we were all ready to book our flights.

breakfast, color, cooking

Next month, Brum's Big Fat Pizza Festival is heading to Birmingham, and it sounds like an absolute delight.

Taking place on Saturday April 29, there will be pizza competitions, pizza game shows, pizza bingo and a pizza rave. We're not sure what a pizza rave entails, but we're sure up for it.

There will also be local artists, musicians and DJs to amuse you throughout the day. Oh, and there will be rum, gin and cocktail bars open so you can wash all the pizza down with a nice refreshing drink.

Tickets are only £7.50 (€8.65), and you can pre-order them here.

See you there?

When it comes to weight loss, each journey is unique, and invariably depends on the individual's physical composition, fitness levels and determination… among many other things.

Each person has their own tips and tricks for shedding the lbs, but it looks like one woman's approach to losing weight has seriously piqued the interest of social media users as her story is doing the rounds for the second time in 12 months.

Following the death of her mother and partner, Justine McCabe gained a considerable amount of weight, and after vowing to shed it, decided to document her journey by taking one selfie a day as she slowly made her way towards her goal.

Dropping from 313 lbs to 189, Justine shared her journey with Instagram users, and racked up more than a quarter of a million views in the process.

The person you see reflecting in the mirror…will provide you with the biggest challenges in life. The human spirit is powerful. Do the work. Suffer the setbacks, push past the pain and excuses. True motivation is not an outside source. It's staring directly back at you. There is nothing you cannot be, do or have. Live with no regrets and don't ever give up. This is what drives me. "The person you see reflecting in the mirror will provide you with the biggest challenges in life. The human spirit is powerful," she wrote in a post last summer.

"Do the work. Suffer the setbacks, push past the pain and excuses. True motivation is not an outside source. It's staring directly back at you," she continued.

Make today your Monday!I have started and stopped more times than I can count. I was convinced I would be unhappy and overweight forever…until the day came that I had enough. Enough exhaustion, enough depression, enough self shame…enough of living in a body that didn't feel like me. Every single decision you make will get you closer than you were yesterday. Take the stairs, park further away, cut out that extra serving, go to the gym when you don't want to, learn to live healthy…and whatever you do…just keep moving. Keep doing. "There is nothing you cannot be, do or have. Live with no regrets and don't ever give up. This is what drives me. My motivation," she finished.

Justine used exercise to combat the depression she had sunk into following the loss of her mother and partner, admitting: "There were a few times I cried on that elliptical,”

Over the course of two years, Justine says she has developed a love and passion for health and fitness.

"I could become complacent with my accomplishments, but why would I do that? We've got one shot at this life," she insists. "I'm going to push every boundary, face every fear, fill my life with knowledge, determination and inspiration."

If you're a former Disney child, then you'll know all about its original movies.

And to say the least, Camp Rock was one of the biggest films to hit our TV screens as kids.

It was the first time we really fell in love with Demi Lovato, Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas.

Demi and the lads now have big and bright careers in the music business, but it looks like they could be heading back to the Disney Channel sometime soon.

Joe has constantly been teasing fans that Camp Rock is making a return, but he's teased the same thing many times over the years, therefore, nobody really believes him anymore.

But now, Demi has come forward and said that Camp Rock 3: The College Years is "totally" going to happen.

While on the red carpet at the Kids' Choice Awards last week, the singer took the credit for the comeback.

When asked about the rumours by Entertainment Tonight, Demi said: "My idea, my idea! We're totally going to do it. It'll be like American Pie meets Disney Channel… It's going to happen."

American Pie meets Disney Channel? Now that's something we're down with.

Most of us have learned the hard way that when it comes to leaving the salon with the cut or style we envisioned, we need to let a photo do the talking.

Providing your stylist with a photo of your end goal is much simpler than talking in circles (and leaving in tears), and if ever there was a time to do this, it's in the run-up to your wedding, right?

With this in mind, we trawled Instagram for some of the most stunning bridal party hairstyles, and frankly we're in a world of contentment right now.

Would you just look at the sheer beauty of these creations?

1. We want to reach out and touch…

2. Oh stop, we know.

4. We know

5. Yep

6. Please excuse us

7. And we're done

The gender pay gap is one of the very last frontiers to tackle in the pursuit for true equality between the sexes.

A submission from the Irish Women's Council of Ireland found that on average, childless women earn 17 per cent less than men, while working mothers earn 14 per cent less than their male counterparts.

The possible existence of a pay gap between the sexes is completely unacceptable in modern society, and worker's unions SIPTU and IMPACT are calling on women to get involved with a campaign to raise awareness for the issue.

Women are posting their 'clocked out " selfies to mark the moment that they essentially begin working for free.

"We’re asking working women in Ireland to post a #ClockedOut selfie at 15.50 today (and every day) to mark the moment the Pay Gap kicks in," reads a Twitter post from IMPACT Trade Union.

"That is, the moment Irish women effectively stop being paid in comparison with their male colleagues."

The submission found that there are many different reasons for the gender pay gap, one being the fact that women are "disproportionately represented in the lowest paid sectors of the economy."

While over 70 per cent of senior and managerial positions are held by men, 84 per cent of caring, leisure and other services and almost 80 per cent of administrative and secretarial positions are held by women

So, will you be snapping yourself with the hashtag?

Saint Patrick's Day is just around the corner, and many Irish folk are gearing up to enjoy a tipple or two on the day.

Our mighty Irish beverage, Guinness, has decided to ring in the occasion with a doughnut dedicated to the day.

In the pursuit of the perfect pint pairing, Guinness teamed up with Aungier Danger, one of Dublin's leading doughnut delis, to create a pastry to compliment a pint of the black stuff.

The dark cocoa donut, filled with Belgian chocolate mousse and accented with a drizzle of black currant compote, was created to team effortlessly with the black beverage.

It sounds completely delicious to be honest.

The doughnut will only be available at the Guinness Storehouse on March 17 as part of the Guinness Storehouse 2017 St. Patrick’s Festival.

Along with the doughnuts, the storehouse will be playing host to a number of entertainers, while sports fans can drop in to watch the RBS 6 Nations clash between Ireland and England on Paddy's Day.

The storehouse is open from 9am to 7pm, so we'll see you in the queue.

Say you will, say you wont!

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of their hit single Ce'st La Vie, iconic Irish girl band B*Witched are making a comeback.

The 90s band are releasing some new music in the next 12 months, and we actually can't wait to discover what 20 years of life experience have awarded the girl's musical abilities.

Edele and Keavy Lynch, Lindsay Armaou and Sinéad O’Carroll are plotting a return to the Irish music scene in 2018.

"We’re not going to try to tap into what we were because that’s nostalgia and the music industry has moved on as much as we all have… we’ve updated it so we feel comfortable with it,” the band told The Irish Star.

“We’re going to be what we are now musically and what we feel now."

A post shared by Edele Lynch (@edelelynch) on

While the four women may want to move in a new, more mature direction with their upcoming music, we can't help but feel a little nostalgic about the whole thing.

But hey, c'est la vie.
