Chris Martin has really been making the most of his time in Ireland.

From a sold out performance at Croke Park, to a training session with Conor McGregor's coach, the Coldplay frontman has really embraced the Irish spirit.

Over the last few days, the British singer has been spotted around the capital, taking selfies with fans and just being an absolute gent really.

Last night, the 40-year-old popped into the International Bar where he met fan, Jamie Harrington, who was working behind the bar at the time.

During their friendly chat, Jamie told Chris how he paid a tout €200 for his Coldplay ticket after he failed to secure one through general sale.

The story clearly struck a chord with the singer, who upon hearing the price of the ticket, offered to refund Jamie €50.00.

As if we need another reason to love him.

Nicki Minaj is usually pretty straight up when announcing milestone events to her fans.

However, her latest tweet is pretty cryptic, and nobody knows what to think.

Last night, the rapper tweeted a baby emoji to her 21 million followers, and of course, they all wound up in a frenzy.

The general consensus? Nicki is pregnant.

Only a few weeks ago, the superstar said that she was giving up dating for the foreseeable future, so we're inclined to believe that this cryptic tweet might have something to do with an upcoming collaboration.

However, she has also been liking all of the tweets about her being pregnant… so, she is either dropping some serious hints, or she's playing all of us.

Guess we'll have to wait and see!

An Irish student has taken it upon herself to fight the myth that healthier people weigh less, by sharing a before-and-after photo documenting her two stone weight gain.

Originally from Co. Clare, Amie Wiley weighed 8st 9lbs in 2013. In order to maintain her slim figure, she followed a strict, low calorie diet, eating minimal carbs and just a small amount of protein.

Now, at 18-years-old, Amie weighs in at 10st 9lbs thanks to her new diet of protein, carbs and unsaturated fats.

Happy #transformationtuesday my loves when I told you that I used to be so skinny with matchsticks legs I was not lying I genuinely used to be so skinny it was crazy  so here's my 4 year transformation. From skinny to strong #gainingweightiscool I couldn't be happier with how I currently am looking and I much prefer stronger Amie to skinny Amie also can we appreciate the over filtered before picture back in the bebo stunnah days when filters were very very overused anyways I shall leave this here! Picture 1: a skinny Amie who over did it on the cardio and ate very little VS Picture 2: a stronger Amie with much more muscle, who lifts weights and that eats much more food! (Carbs have my heart) HAVE A GREAT EVENING ALL

According to MailOnline, the fitness fanatic works out five days a week, focussing on a separate part of her body during each session.

Now living in London, Amie has documented her transformation on Instagram, where she has over 10,000 followers.

Happy #transformationtuesday  the picture on the left was taken in January and the one on the right was taken today in June!  I'm so happy with how far I've come since then the one thing I have learned is that it's all in the mind what a person can do and without having the mindset to get myself back to a weight I'm happy with and to get a healthy lifestyle back I wouldn't look the way I do today (I'm not saying there's anything wrong with the way I looked in January, i just personally didn't like the way I looked and now i feel so much happier and confident in my body than I did back then) Also I now fuel my body with much healthier foods and it makes me feel so much better aswell! I really let myself go starting college and I'm now happy to say that since then I'm in the best shape I have ever been in!! My legs are more defined, my waist is much smaller, my body fat is so much lower and the best part… I couldn't be happier exercise and a healthy lifestyle is so amazing and I'm so happy that I adore every bit of it  happy Tuesdayyyyy everyone

Deciding to ditch the exhausting cardio sessions and instead focus on weight training, Amie reveals that how the change has helped her not only physically, but mentally as well.

“Back in 2015 I decided to make the transition from cardio to weights."

“I just loved the idea of being toned and leaner and not just being a skinny girl who would just go to the gym to run on the treadmill or go on the cross trainer for hours.”

"Personally, I enjoy weights much more than cardio. You don't just benefit physically from weights but you benefit mentally as well."

It wouldn't be a Tuesday without a #transformationtuesday  This picture marks 2 transformations for me and Im hella gonna talk about them right now: Number 1) when I first started off the gym I was a cardio bunny, I literally went there and ran. I would literally run on the treadmill for hours and leave how I did it? I have no idea but that is what I did, don't get me wrong at the time I loved it but if i was asked to do that today lol dat would so NOT happen  I started weight lifting about 2.5 years ago and I've never looked back since  I LOVE weight lifting  it is the one major thing I look forward to every day and to be able to say that is super duper unreal because exercise and weight lifting is sooo good 4 u !! Yay @ endorphins  I used to be super skinny (hello pancake bum)and since starting weight lifting I am much more defined and happier, so yay! the gym makes me so happy and I would be lost without it, mad to say- i know!  but it's so true! -Not gonna lie it was super daunting at first heading into the branded "lads weights area" but once you've done it you've done it do it once and you will do it again! Which leads me onto my second point soooo… – 2) two weeks ago I posted a glute progression picture on this account (FOR MYSELF) and knowing from where I'm from- a small town, I knew It was inevitable that I would get some sort of comments made about it, which happened. Before posting that picture I stared at my phone screen for ages contemplating whether I should post it or not and after a while- I did! And right now I can just say that I am so happy and proud of myself that I did because now I do not give a fuck (pardon my french) what others think of me nor am I afraid of gossiping etc I never did care about this sort of thing, I'm such an easy going person but for some reason that just got to me, but out of it I've realised how many people actually support me and what I'm doing and it made me S O happy  – Everything I do I am doing for myself(with the added bonus of helping others along the way). I will continue to transform myself physically and mentally with thanks to the gym and I am so grateful!  u do u

She added, "Usually girls would shy away from using weights in fear of getting 'too big' or 'too bulky' but that cannot be further from the truth."

"Weights make me feel strong and confident much more than cardio ever did."

Speaking to MailOnline, Amie had some words of wisdom for anyone looking to start their own fitness journey.

"Everyone that goes to the gym is there to better themselves so don't be afraid and just go do it."

London was awash with colour and love last weekend as crowds took to the streets of the capital city to celebrate the annual Pride festival.

While onlookers enjoyed all the sights and sounds the parade had to offer, one couple used the setting as the background for one of the most special moments of their lives.

In a video that has since gone viral, we see a woman propose to her girlfriend, who just so happens to be an on-duty police officer – and it's by far the sweetest thing you'll see this week.

Of course, she said yes, and their engagement was met with cheers of joy from the crowd.

The women remain unnamed, however the British Transport Police did share footage of the special moment on Twitter.

According to The Sun, the pair have been together for five years and live together in London.

Shortly after the footage was posted online, the couple were flooded with congratulations from members of the public and other police forces alike.

We can't help but be reminded of a similar proposal which took place at last year's London Pride parade when police officer,  Phil Adlem, momentarily stopped marching in order proposed to his unsuspecting boyfriend who was watching from the side.

Congratulation all around!

If you've ever given any thought as to why JK Rowling opted to use her initials on her series of international bestsellers, you may be interested to know that it wasn't, in fact, her choice.

The British author, who became a household name following the release of the first Harry Potter book, recently revealed that she was advised to use her initials on her first book so as not to alienate male readers.

Because God forbid a little boy would be forced to read a book written by a woman, right?

Reflecting on the discussion she had with her publishers prior to her first book's release twenty years ago, she explained that she was essentially met wth a fait accompli on the name front.

Speaking to CNN's Christiane Amanpor, JK said: "My publisher, who published Harry Potter, they said to me, 'We think this is a book that will appeal to boys and girls', so they said, 'Could we use your initials?"

Under no illusion that the use of her initials was nothing, but a method to hide the fact she is a woman, she said: "Because, basically, they were trying to disguise my gender. And obviously that lasted about three seconds, which is wonderful."

And what do you know? Even after it turned out that Harry Potter was the brainchild of a – gasp! – woman, sales continued to go through the roof.

What a world…

According to emerging figures released by the Save the Children charity, a staggering 30,000 teenage girls across the globe die as a result of pregnancy and childbirth on an annual basis.

The sobering statistics, which average out at a death every 20 minutes, indicate that pregnancy is the biggest cause of death among girls aged 15 to 19.

Seeking to tackle the worldwide problem, Save the Children highlights the importance of creating easier access to family-planning services.

Commenting on the figures, Kirsty McNeill of Save the Children stressed: "It’s unacceptable that so many young girls are dying simply because they don’t have access to contraceptives like condoms or the pill, or because of myths and cultural barriers."

"There are a number of often cultural issues and social taboos in countries," she continued. "There is really nothing controversial about girls and women getting to choose if and when they become pregnant, who with and how many children they have but access to modern contraception really does save lives."

"It’s clear more needs to be done," Kirsty added.

"Girls need to be given greater access to contraceptives, and contraceptives should be made free. We also need to ensure that myths about family planning are dispelled so that every girl feels empowered to decide what happens to her own body."

The 30,000 annual deaths stem from pregnancy-related problems such as bleeding and blood poisoning as well as complications arising from childbirth.

In 2016, Ireland had the highest birth rate in the EU and the joint lowest death rate.

Coffee lovers rejoice!

The next time someone makes a sly dig about your addiction to the black stuff, just hit them with the facts – coffee makes you live longer.

Two studies, one in the US and one in the UK, have found that drinking three cups of coffee a day can increase your life expectancy.

See, coffee has been known to reduce the risk of liver disease, circulatory issues, heart disease, strokes and digestive issues, so it's combined benefits can actually add years to your life.

According to researchers, these effects are due to the antioxidant plant compounds in coffee.

The UK study, led by Imperial College London and the UN International Agency for Research on Cancer, looked at 520,000 people over the age of 35 living in ten countries, over a period of 16 years.

Results showed that men who drank three cups of coffee a day were 18 per cent less likely to die over the course of the study.

The effects were not as strong for the female participants, however, women who drank three cups a day had an 8 per cent decreased chance of death over the time period.

Similarly, the US study found that those who drank one cup of coffee a day were 12 per cent less likely to have passed away during the study, while those who drank three cups were 18 per cent less likely.

Now, it's highly likely that these people were living healthy lifestyles and it would be irresponsible to give coffee all the credit, but it's definitely something that, when consumed in moderation, could keep keep everything ticking over.

Dr Marc Gunter, leader of the UK study, said: "We found higher coffee consumption was associated with a lower risk of death from any cause, and specifically for circulatory diseases, and digestive diseases."

"We are not at the stage of recommending people to drink more or less coffee."

"That said, our results suggest that moderate coffee drinking – up to around three cups per day – is not detrimental, and that incorporating coffee into your diet could have health benefits."

We'll take that.

In a rare glimpse into the personal lives of one of the world's most famous power couples, Jay-Z has admitted his marriage to Beyoncé 'wasn't built on 100 per cent truth'.

During a sit-down conversation with Chris Rock, Will Smith, Kendrick Lamar and Jesse Williams that was streamed on Tidal, Jay opened up about about relationships in the public eye.

He said: "This is my real life. I just ran into this place and we built this big, beautiful mansion of a relationship that wasn’t totally built on the 100 percent truth and it starts cracking."

"Things start happening that the public can see. Then we had to get to a point of 'OK, tear this down and let’s start from the beginning.' It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done."

The rapper went on to explain how he wanted to make things work.

"We’ve been in that space where we just got to the place that in order for this to work, it can’t be fake – not once. I’m not saying it wasn’t uncomfortable because obviously it was, but because we’ve been doing it for so long it was less uncomfortable."

The admission comes after the release of his latest album 4:44, in which he appears to confirm allegations that he had been unfaithful in his marriage.

In the title track, Jay seems to apologise for this actions, saying it took the couple's daughter, Blue Ivy, to make him him realise the severity of his actions.

He raps: "I apologise, often womanise, took my child to be born, see through a woman’s eyes. Took for these natural twins to believe in miracles. Took me too long for this song. I don’t deserve you."

Since the album's release, Jay-Z has not been in the good books with the Beyhive – and we can't imagine his latest admission is going to help him in that department.

But regardless of what we think, the couple seem to have moved on from the drama and are instead working together to raise their family.
