So, at this stage, most of us are all well versed in Snapchat's intricate interface.

Streaks, geo-filters, stories – it's pretty much second nature to anyone between the ages of 15 and 30.

However, with countless features and an ever-changing selection of filters, it's easy to understand how a first-time snapper might have trouble navigating the app.

Which is why the company have opted to a complete design overhaul, in an attempt to create a more user-friendly experience.

According to Variety, Snapchat CEO, Evan Spiegel, said: "One thing that we have heard over the years is that Snapchat is difficult to understand or hard to use. As a result, we are currently redesigning our application to make it easier to use."

It's reported that the new-look app will still open directly to a camera, but instead of separating the 'Chat' and 'Stories' sections, everything will be stored on one screen to the left of the camera.

2018 will also see the introduction of user generated 'Snapchat Lenses'- where by any user can create there very own lens.

“We are working hard to democratize Lens creation so that anyone anywhere can create and publish their own Lenses,” said Evan.

What's more, as well as allowing specific brands to monetize its uploads, Snapchat will soon offer certain creators ans influencers the change to earn money from their stories.

According to Business Insider, the re-design will launch on December 4, 2017.

Butternut squash, tofu and chickpea curry

Ingredients

For the paste:

  • 3 red chillies
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • a handful coriander stalks
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 1 lime zest
  • 1 red pepper
  • 4 shallots
  • 1 stick lemongrass
  • Salt & pepper
  • 2 garlic cloves

For the curry:

  • 400g tofu
  • Soy sauce/or tamari if you want gluten free
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • Olive or coconut oil
  • 300g butternut squash, chopped into chunks
  • 1 courgette, chopped into chunks
  • 1 tin/400g chickpeas
  • 1 vegetable stock cube
  • 1 packet/130g baby corn
  • 60g broccoli
  • 1 can coconut milk
  • Coriander to garnish
  • Brown rice to serve

Preparation

1. Place all the paste ingredients into a food processor and blitz until everything is finely chopped.

2. Cut the tofu into bite size chunks and leave to marinade in the soy or tamari sauce. Set aside.

3. In a large pan, heat the oil and lightly fry two tablespoons of the paste. The rest can be stored in the fridge in a sealed jar.

4. Fry the onion and the butternut squash for a few minutes to soften before adding the broccoli and courgette.

5. Add 1 cup of boiling water with stock cube and leave to simmer on a medium heat for 10 minutes.

6. When the stock has reduced and the veg are soft, add the tofu and chickpeas and coconut milk.

7. Simmer for a further 10 minutes and season with salt and pepper.

8. Serve with bowls of steaming brown rice and topped with fresh coriander.

Roasted cauliflower

"I first had something similar to this in a restaurant and I couldn't get over how tasty it was was. I set out to create something similar at home and honestly I was so surprised how easy it was.

This is the most perfect side dish and is quick enough to have during the week and but also special enough to have at a dinner party. I love it with some tofu, a green salad and lots of hummus."

Ingredients

  • 2 heads cauliflower
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • A drizzle of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to season
  • Mixed seeds

Preparation

1. Heat the oven to 180°C.

2. Wash the cauliflower and remove the outer leaves.

3. Break up the cauliflower into bite size pieces. I do this by hand.

4. In a bowl mix the spices and olive oil evenly and then add the cauliflower. Using either a spoon or your hands to coat the cauliflower in the spices as evenly as possible.

5. Place onto a baking tray and cook for 30 minutes, tossing the cauliflower halfway through to make sure it cooks evenly and doesn't burn.

6. Remove from the oven and season with salt and pepper to your preference and add some mixed seeds for a bit of extra texture. I used flax seeds but pumpkin or sesame would also work well.

7. This can be served hot or cold and holds well in the fridge for up to three days.

Raw chocolate mousse

Ingredients

  • 2 avocados
  • 3 tbsp agave or maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp of vanilla essence
  • A pinch of sea salt
  • 100ml plant-based milk

Preparation

1. Blend all ingredients in a nutribullet or blender until smooth.

2. Scoop into bowls for serving and chill for 30 minutes to firm up.

3. Top with raw cacao nibs, flaked almonds or berries and enjoy!

Jury duty is one of those niggling little annoyances we all have to deal with, but we wouldn't mind having to show up if we knew the former POTUS would be in attendance.

Former US President Barack Obama rocked up to a Chicago courthouse after being summoned to serve his civic duty.

He was not selected for duty, but not before he caused major excitement at the courthouse.

The former White House resident greeted his fellow citizens after he made his way to the court of law.

He arrived by motorcade, with security and a frenzied media pack hot on his heels.

Despite this, Obama chatted with the other potential jurors, and autographed copies of his book which citizens hed brought for him to sign.

A post shared by Barack Obama (@barackobama) on

He thanked the locals for presenting themselves for jury duty, and went on his merry way a number of hours later after being dismissed for duty by random selection.

In previous years, George W Bush also presented himself for duty after finishing his term in office.

Nobody panic, but we have some seriously exciting news for you all!

As of tomorrow morning, you will be officially able to have breakfast at Tiffany's (and lunch, for that matter)

How AMAZING is that?

On November 10th, The Blue Box Cafe will open its doors to the public, and we could not be more excited to try it out.

What's on the menus, I hear you ask?

Well, apparently the menu will include "a refined take on signature New York dishes" made from locally-sourced ingredients. Dishes such as a lobster avocado salad and a C.L.T. for Charles Lewis Tiffany, or chicken, lettuce, and tomato, according to Vanity Fair.

Lunch is $39 for a starter and main course, which seems like a lot – but its all about the experience.

For Holly Golightly fans, there is a special croissant and coffee combo for $29, which includes a side of avocado toast, truffled eggs, or smoked salmon bagel (yum!)

Oh, and if the food hasn't sold you (seriously, why though?) then let's just talk about the decor for a second.

"The space is experimental and experiential–a window into the new Tiffany," chief artistic officer Reed Krakoff said in a statement about the new venture.

The space is small, and completely designed around the famous tiffany box (all things blue!)

And while it might be little, the views of Central Park make up for it in every way – simply breathtaking.

Time to start booking flights ladies – Tiffany is waiting.

It may seem like an eternity since work began on extending the Luas line, but the end is finally in sight.

It has finally been confirmed that the Luas will be open to the public in less than a month.

According to a tweet from the tram system, the extended line will be in operation from December 9.

The Luas Twitter posted a survey, asking commuters if they will be using the new extended green line.

The extension will be open just in time for Christmas shoppers to access all of Dublin's retail hot spots.

The line will host 13 new stops, extending from St Stephens Green all the way to Cabra.

Dubliners, you're in luck.

Research by the latest Pobal Deprivation Index has shown that Dublin is the wealthiest area in Ireland (no surprise there.)

The research shows that income levels are growing strongly in the nation's capital.

Pobal says towns with between 1,000 and 5,000 people were worst hit by the recession and didn't do the best during the recovery.

Communities located in the most rural areas are also the worst impacted.

'The areas of highest affluence and highest disadvantage are largely those areas that were of highest disadvantage and affluence in previous census waves,' spokesperson Martin Quigley told Breaking News.

'While there has been some movement, in general, what we have found is social disadvantage is a long-term and geographically entrenched phenomenon.'

Trigger Warning: This article contains descriptions of sexual assault.

Actress Aurélie Wynn has come forward as the second woman to accuse Ed Westwick of sexual assault.

The former Gossip Girl star faced rape allegations this week after actress Kristina Cohen alleged that Westwick raped her in his home three years ago.

Now, Aurélie claims that she too is a victim of sexual assault at his hands.

A post shared by Aurélie Wynn (@lovelyrellie) on

Taking to Facebook, the former actress penned a lengthy post about her alleged experience, and stated that she fully believes the claims made by Kristina Cohen.

Describing how she had gone to Westwick's residence to hang out, she detailed: 'We all hung out until 5am, sun was starting to rise since it was summer so we all decided to get a few hours of shut eye since we all had events and things to do the next day and there are plenty of bedrooms.'

'And like Kristina, I said no and he pushed me face down and was powerless under his weight,' she said.

A post shared by Ed Westwick (@edwestwick) on

'I was wearing a one piece bathing suit that he ripped, I was in complete shock.'

Wynn wrote that she told her then-boyfriend, Glee actor Mark Salling, about the alleged rape.

'I told the guy I was seeing that I got raped, Mark Salling, and when he found out by who he pretended not to know him, then blamed me for it and broke it off with me.'

'My other friends and people around me told me it was best not to say anything, to not be "that girl" and that no one would believe me and think I was just out trying to get my 10 seconds of fame,' she claimed.

A post shared by Ed Westwick (@edwestwick) on

Salling has since been found guilty of possession of child pornography.

'I believe you Kristina Cohen and thank you for speaking up so eloquently and really encompassing what young female actresses have to go through at the hands of men like Ed Westwick,' Aurélie finished.

'Without you I would not have had the strength to speak up publicly about my ordeal.'

Westwick has not responded to Aurélie's claims, but stated previously that he has never forced himself on any woman.

He also claims not to know Kristina Cohen.

Coca-Cola's latest advert is receiving mixed reaction online.

In what is presumably at attempt to celebrate the Saudi government's decision to allow women to get behind the wheel for the first time, the short clip shows a father teaching his daughter how to drive.

In a scene that pretty much every learner driver can relate to, the nervous woman makes several failed attempts at driving the vehicle before pausing to take a sip from an ice-cold bottle of Coke.

Much to the shock of her father, the young female driver proceeds to cruise down the desert road with confidence as the words 'Change Has A Taste' appear across the screen.

While some viewers have praised the advert for acknowledging the introduction of the new law, others have accused the company of exploiting the historic ruling.

“The ad, which debuted on November 2, celebrates the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s decision to lift its longstanding prohibition on women drivers, focusing on a heart-warming scene of a father teaching his daughter to drive," a spokesperson said.

“The campaign touches on the brand’s values surrounding diversity and inclusion and aligns with Coca-Cola’s commitment to enable the economic empowerment of women.”
