As viewers debated Calum Best's and Jamie O' Hara's conduct towards Nicola McLean in a recent episode of Celebrity Big Brother, Nicola's husband, Tom Williams, has kept schtum.

Until now, that is.

As some members of the public derided Calum and Jamie for encouraging an already drunk Nicola to consume more alcohol before engaging in flirtatious behaviour with the mum-of-two, others insisted that Nicola should take responsibility for her role in the incident which many viewers considered 'inappropriate'.

In the aftermath of the controversial scene and the drama which ensued, Tom took to Twitter to suggest that the reality show had been selective in the information they provided viewers.

After viewers were shown scenes featuring a remorseful Nicola, Tom decided to weigh in on the debate in a move which highlighted the public's disdain for Nicola.

"Interesting that @bbuk didn't show that Nicola has been with a psychiatrist all day" he wrote before tagging hosts Rylan Clare-Neal and Emma Willis.

"Are you making excuses for her? She needs a psychologist if she thinks your behaviour excuses hers," wrote one member of the public.

Dismissing Tom's tweet, one follower wrote: "With a psychiatrist because she feels guilty about her behaviour induced by alcohol. So f**king what!"

"She is trash. If you don't know right or wrong at her age being a mother lol!" added another.

Questioning Tom's knowledge of the subject, another Twitter user asked: "How do you know she has if theres no contact?"

We imagine this will get worse before it gets better.

80 percent of Irish people would vote yes in a referendum to repeal the the 8th amendment, according to a study by Amnesty International Ireland.

The data gathered in a study of over 1000 people across all genders, social classes and counties showed that Irish people are in favour of repealing the 8th amendment, with only 12 percent saying that they would vote no should a referendum occur.

"The concept that abortion rights is a deeply divisive opinion is nonsense." Colm O'Gorman, Executive Director of Amnesty International Ireland, told SHEmazing!

"Remarkably few people refuse to answer or don't know either, the data shows that overwhelmingly people are very progressive."

"Only 5 percent of people are personally against abortion."

Red C and Amnesty International "Public Attitudes Towards Abortion in Ireland"

"The parties cannot pretend this is a divided or divisive issue."

"Our poll clearly shows that support for expanding access and repealing the Eighth is shared strongly right across the country and all age groups and social groups. People in Ireland are clear on the need to expand access to abortion and they want women’s and girls’ human rights to be respected."

The poll also shows that almost three quarters of people agree that the fact that women must travel abroad to access abortion unfairly discriminates against women who are unable to or cannot afford to travel.

Red C and Amnesty International "Public Attitudes Towards Abortion in Ireland"

The study reveals that 55 percent of people agree with the United Nation's Human Rights Committee, and think that Ireland's abortion ban is "cruel and inhumane."

Another key finding was that almost three quarters, 72 percent, believe that the Government should hold a referendum to allow people to vote on whether or not to remove the 8th amendment from the Constitution.

Two-thirds of people also believe that it is hypocritical that Ireland’s constitution bans abortion in Ireland but allows women to travel abroad for abortions.

Red C and Amnesty International "Public Attitudes Towards Abortion in Ireland"

Even among the aforementioned 5 percent of respondents personally opposed to abortion in all circumstances (i.e. even where the woman or girl’s life is at risk), 34 percent would vote to repeal the Eighth Amendment, rising to half if there was legislation placing “reasonable restrictions” on access to abortion.

"This poll demonstrates yet again, that on the issue of abortion, Ireland’s people are way ahead of their political leaders," said Colm O'Gorman,

If you rely heavily on the use of memes while communicating with friends, you're about to find a new hero in Jason Wong.

Acknowledging that scrolling through a selection of memes can be therapuetic on so many levels, Jason has combined that activity with another adult pastime rapidly gaining momentum – the adult colouring book.

According to Jason, the Holy Meme Bible, which features some of the most popular memes of the last 12 months, acts as a record of some of the biggest events of 2016, and – more importantly – the public's response to them.

"This past year, many significant events occurred, and I noticed that many people on the internet, myself included, resorted to using these memes to either cope or respond to these events." Jason told BuzzFeed.

"I started going back in history of major social media accounts that posted internet memes and noting the stuff that I felt was significant. After putting all the pictures and ideas on a Google Doc, I sent it off to my designer."

"I wanted to document the number of memes that happened this past year and put it on a medium that no one has done before. Also, I needed money for tuition.” he added.

Jason, we thank you.

We all know that weather forecasters have a reputation for getting it wrong from time to time.

And no one is more acutely aware of this than the forecasters themselves, so it's no real surprise they can get a little tetchy when their forecasts are questioned, right?

After having his recent televised report questioned by his 18-year-old daughter Claire, meteorologist Chris Halcomb gave a response so scathing that Twitter has officially found themselves a new hero.

Taking to social media after forecasting snow for the region, Chris shared a screengrab of an exchange between himself and Claire.

Having advised his daughter that her reliance on a weather app may have a detrimental effect on her college fund, Chris found himself inundated with messages of support from members of the public.

"This tweet is hilarious!" wrote one while another added: "These old folks getting social media and turning into damn savages out here."

"Tweet of the year so far," gushed another.

Chris, take a bow.

While we are far too late for a white Christmas, those dreaming of snow could be in luck.

However, it wont be fluffy clouds of frozen fluff that falling daintily on our shores.

"Thundersnow," a rare phenomenon occurs when thunderstorms form in wintry conditions, could be en-route to Ireland.

Temperatures are expected to plummet to below zero as freezing weather takes hold of the country.

There is a status yellow weather warning in place by Met Éireann as the country is set for a very cold snap, which could include some snowfall.

If the weather is cold, the rain associated with a thunderstorm can then fall as snow, creating thundersnow.

The weather warning is in place from 3pm today until Saturday.

"The heaviest of the snow fall is most likely over Ulster, Connacht, north Leinster and west Munster and especially so on high ground," a statement on the Met website says.

"There will be scattered showers on Atlantic coasts will move further inland overnight and turning increasingly wintry with snow on higher ground. Lowest temperatures -1 to +2 degrees.

"Fresh to strong and gusty northwesterly winds will back westerly overnight and moderate.

"Later in the night, a frontal wave will pass to the South of Ireland and this brings the risk of sleety rain and snow."

Drivers are being warned to take extra care during the cold snap.

"The main thing is for motorists to give themselves plenty of time if they have to undertake a journey. Slow down and don’t rush," said Roland Hesse, spokesperson for Allianz Global Assistance Ireland.

Extra care should be taken when driving, and while we like the old "don't make unnecessary journeys, don't take risks on treacherous roads" advice, here is a concise checklist for driving safely in difficult weather.

1. Slow down! Leave earlier for work or school. That extra ten or fifteen minutes can make all the difference.

2. Don’t make sudden manoeuvres. Be gentle with braking, accelerating and steering.

3. Leave extra distance between you and the vehicle in front, in case of sudden braking.

4. Have snow tyres fitted. They are not just for snow, they are effective once the temperatures fall below seven degrees.

5. Be prepared for delays. Keep the fuel tank topped up.

6. Make sure you have your vehicle serviced, that the anti-freeze is topped up, and the battery is in good condition.

7. Keep a warm jacket and a blanket in the car.

8. Make sure you have jump leads and other essentials in your boot in case of a breakdown including a high visibility vest, boots/wellingtons, de-icing equipment and a hazard warning triangle.

9. Check that your spare wheel is in good condition and is fully inflated. Some cars may have an inflation repair kit instead of a spare wheel so make sure that you know how to use it.

10. Ensure you have adequate breakdown cover.

Most off-licences close at 10pm. But, busy working women don't stop at 10pm. So, when the pang hits and you fancy a G&T or a glass of beer, it's pretty frustrating that you can't pop by the shops and pick some booze up.

That's why we're in awe of this wonder machine that will be able to make all kinds of alcohol.

Keurig, the company famous for its coffee maker, has released a press release with the news that the business is working on creating an alcoholic drink maker.

Keurig announced that while the product is still in the research and development stage, they're working hard to create an "in-home alcohol drink system," where you can create "beer, spirits, cocktails and mixers" all in the comfort of your kitchen.

Most reports believe that the booze-maker (we like that name better) will be like other Keurig machines and only brew one drink at a time, which is causing problems for people who want to party.

But, just pressing a button and making your very own wine? We'll take that.

A High Court judge has refused an application for an extended length of stay from the occupiers of Apollo House, on the basis that it is a matter for the government and not the court system.

The Home Sweet Home legal team returned to the High Court this morning to seek an extension to stay in Apollo House past the January 11 eviction deadline.

Since the announcement, protestors have created a human barrier around the building by linking arms and standing in solidarity with the residents, who have said they will not vacate the building at noon to comply with the court imposed evictor order.

The Home Sweet Home inititive sought the extension after a number of residants returned to Apollo House after one night in "unsuitable" government appointed accomodation.

"The Government promised safe, secure accommodation that respected the individual needs of the residents, but campaigners can confirm that this has not been delivered," said Apollo House spokesperson Tommy Gavin, after a group of Home Sweet Home delegates met with Minister for Housing Simon Coveney do discuss the future of Apollo House.

A deal was struck in which the campaigners agreed to vacate the building on the condition that appropriate accommodation be found for the 40 homeless residents currently living there.

However, Home Sweet Home feels that this deal has not been kept.

"Despite reassurances given by Minister Simon Coveney at recent negotiations, it has not been possible to secure adequate alternative accommodation catering for the short and long term needs of the residents of Apollo House,' reads a statement on the Home Sweet Home Twitter page.

"Eight residents have been forced to return to Apollo House after the government abandoned it's commitment to address their needs, mere hours after promising it would."

"The conditions in the accommodation provided by the government are as unsafe and as unsuitable as those that initially drove many of the residents of Apollo House to sleep on the streets in the first place."

"Home Sweet Home will be seeking an extension from Judge Gilligan to the stay on the order of 21st December, in order to continue to work with services to meet the needs of the residents."

“There are clear health and safety concerns in in some of the accommodation offered to residents."

One resident was reportedly taken to a hostel where the walls were covered in blood, Dublin Live reports.

A new banner went up outside Apollo House this morning in response to Simon Coveney's failure to keep his promises, which reads "homes not hostels."

As part of the deal, €4 million is to be spent on two new facilities for the homeless in Dublin.

If you spent half your childhood answering to every name but your own, you'll know what it's like to grow up in a big, bustling family.

And while many would blanch at the notion of rocking hand-me-downs and sharing a bedroom with a hape of siblings, recent research has revealed that if it wasn't for the cost factor, one in three Irish parents would welcome new additions.

According to laya research, 77 per cent of those surveyed want a 'bigger' family, while one in ten are planning to extend their brood over the next 12 months.

With that in mind, here are just 9 things you'll know if you grew up in a big familiy.

1. Your bladder control is second to none as you spent most of your early life waiting on the wrong side of the bedroom door.

"I will pee on the landing and you'll have to step over it, I swear to God."

2. The only time clothes were bought specifically for you was on your birthday… and Christmas, if you were lucky.

"Put on your brother's Spiderman underpants, and don't be annoying me."

3. You have been known to answer to the dog's name because it saved time finding out what your mam wanted from you.

"Did you just call me Rover? Ah whatever, what do you want?"

4. You made any excuse to visit friends who only happened to have older siblings you rarely saw.

"And tell me, were you ever made wear their underwear?"

5. You knew better than to antagonise your mother at ANY point during dinner prep.

"I've been peeling these potatoes since 2pm and you come in telling tales on the world and its wife? Get out of my sight."

6. You accept that teachers will regularly compare you to your siblings… and their shortcomings.

"You're a Mulligan, are you? I knew the minute you handed in this drivel you were himself's sister. Why can't the pair of you be more like your younger sister?"

7. Fist fights, foot fights and pillow fights were used to resolve most issues, and it's still something you consider using as an adult.

"One belt with Dad's whopper tri-pillow would whack sense into that young one in work."

8. Foreign holidays were the reserve of smaller families, so your crew generally landed down to the sunny south-east of a summer.

"When do you think I'll see the inside of an airport, Mam?"

9. You became so used to sharing presents, anything else seems indulgent nowadays.

"Now, your dad and I knew you both wanted a Barbie jeep, so this one is for the pair of you."

It seems that Donald Trump is having a bit of trouble securing performers to play at his inauguration on January 20.

When President Barack Obama was inaugurated in 2009, he was serenaded by Beyonce and Aretha Franklin.

The date is coming up fast, but so far Trump's team has only managed to book 16-year-old opera singer and America's Got Talent contestant Jackie Evancho, along with the Radio City Rockettes and the Morman Tabernacle Choir.

Here are a few of the famous faces who have rejected Trump's offer to perform at the 45th swearing in ceremony of a U.S. president.

The Swedish singer, who found fame with her hit single Lush Life, simply said "I would never do it. "

11. Adam Lambert

10. Charlotte Church

Charlotte is he most recent celebrity to decline the presidential invite.

Taking to Twitter, the singer mocked the presidents' research team, and pointed out that a simple Google search would have shown that she does not support the Trump campaign.

9. Sir Elton John

"I don’t really want my music to be involved in anything to do with an American election campaign," the icon told The Guardian.

"I’m British. I’ve met Donald Trump, he was very nice to me, it’s nothing personal, his political views are his own, mine are very different, I’m not a Republican in a million years. Why not ask Ted f***ng Nugent? Or one of those f***ing country stars? They’ll do it for you."

8. Rebecca Ferguson

Rebecca said that she would in fact perform at the inauguration – on one condition.

"I've been asked and this is my answer. If you allow me to sing ‘strange fruit' a song that has huge historical importance, a song that was blacklisted in the United States for being too controversial," tweeted the star.

Strange Fruit  a civil rights anthem originally sang by Billie Holiday which highlights the struggles of black American's in the past.

7.  The Mormon Tabernacle Choir

The Morman Tabernacle Choir is one of the few acts Trump's team has managed to secure,

However one member of the group quit after discovering that she would be required to perform at the Republican's inauguration.

6. Chainsmokers

After New York Magazine’s Brian Feldman jokingly tweeted that the band would be performing at the inauguration, their manager had a succinct but firm reply: “False.”

5. Garth Brooks

Garth Brooks originally seemed open about performing at the ceremony, telling TMZ, "It's always about serving," he said. "It's what you do."

However the star later said that he had backed out.

4. Celine Dion

An insider previously told The Wrap that longtime friend to Trump and Las Vegas hotelier Steve Wynn had promised to get Celine Dion to perform at the inauguration ceremony.

He won't be making good on that promise, thanks to Celine's refusal!

3. John Legend

It was rumoured that the singer had been asked to perform at the inauguration, despite never supporting the Republican.

"Creative people tend to reject bigotry and hate. We tend to be more liberal-minded," he told the BBC.

"When we see somebody that’s preaching division and hate and bigotry, it’s unlikely he’ll get a lot of creative people that want to be associated with him.”

2. Andrea Bochelli

The famous Italian tenor originally agreed to perform, but quickly changed his mind and withdrew his acceptance after facing backlash online from fans.

1. Gene Simmons

The KISS frontman refused to participate in Trump's inauguration ceremony for political reasons.

"I think celebrities should basically shut their pie hole and do what they do best: act, sing, tap dance, juggle balls, and do all that kind of stuff," he said, in an appearance on Fox Business.

"And then do what an informed citizen does: draw the curtain, vote your conscience, go in there and vote."

Everyone knows that one of the most annoying parts about having sister is the constant, mutual theft that goes on between your wardrobes.

She swears she didn't she "borrow" your new Zara jacket, only to see her tagged wearing in in Facebook photos the next day.

It seems that even the Kardashian-Jenners aren't immune to nabbing some style inspiration from each other's wardrobes.

Last night youngest sister Kylie rocked the red carpet in a unique, ruffled, cut-out Balmain gown at the Image Maker Awards.

A video posted by Kylie (@kyliejenner) on

We're used to seeing dresses with cut-out waists and arms, but this Balmain piece featured gaping cut-outs from hip to calf, showcasing the curves that the Kardashians are famous for.

The 19-year-old makeup mogul looked drop dead gorgeous, but we had a sneaking suspicion that we'd seen this look before.

Back in November, big sister Kourtney Kardashian donned another daring version of  the Balmain design for the Angel Ball, in honour of her late father Robert Kardashian.

Kourt opted for a black style with a simple bustier top, rather than extra ruffled like little sister Kylie.

We wonder if there was a "would you be mad if I copied your dress from the Angel Ball" text sent?
