When it comes to romance, the ladies in Little Mix have had their fair share of misfortune, but it sounds like they all subscribe to the 'Sisters Before Misters' school of thought if their recent interview with Jonathan Ross is anything to go by.

Amid reports that Jesy Nelson and Jake Roche have called time on their engagement, the Shout Out To My Ex singers grabbed a seat on Jonathan's sofa and revealed that they were able to navigate their break-ups with the help of their bandmates.

In the interview which is due to air tonight, Jesy told Jonathan: "That's what's lovely about being in a group, we all literally support each other and when we're going through bad times we can all relate to it."

Reflecting on her high-profile split from Zayn Malik last year, Perrie said: ""For a normal girl to go through something like that it's hard."

"I think when the whole world is looking at it and talking about it, you feel a bit affected by it."

Like Perrie, Leigh-Anne Pinnock also saw the end of her relationship, but insists her place in the band meant she got through it relatively well.

"When I split up with my ex, I was thinking 'I have got my three best friends, what does it matter?' she said.

"I'm so lucky to have these girls and that's how we feel all the time. We're the best of friends. People don't believe that we actually get on as well." she added.

According to reports this week, Jesy decided to end her engagement to fiance Jake after growing frustrated by his lack of interest in their wedding.

So, it sounds like Jesy is going to need her girls more than ever right now.

When it comes to the world of celebrity, there is a very distinct hierarchy.

And unfortunately for many British reality TV show stars, they often get a fairly hefty dose of… well… reality when they realise that not everybody who appears on television is held in the same regard.

Venting about this issue in her column for Star magazine, The Only Way is Essex cast member, Chloe Sims, expressed confusion over the fact she was denied entry to a club because an Olympic medallist was already inside.

Eager to highlight the 'downsides' of fame, Chloe wrote: "Once I got told I wasn’t allowed in because Usain Bolt was there. What’s that got to do with me?’"

34-year-old Chloe insists her role on the ITVBe reality show often means she's judged unfairly by the general public – something which apparently sometimes wreaks havoc on a night out.

"I've been refused entry to a nightclub three times because I’m on the show', she complained.

Don't worry Chloe, there's still always Marbs.

A hunk of a tortoise is solely responsible for bringing his species back from extinction, after fathering over 800 tortoise babies.

We know, it sounds completely insane, but the 100-year-old's sexcapades in the past 50 years means he has fathered over 40% of his population.

The Debrief reports that the species, which is known as the Chelonoidis Hoodensis, is a native to the southern Galapagos Island of Espanola.

Diego is now a resident of The San Diego Zoo and it is believed he arrived in the US in the 1950s. Since 1977 he's lived on Santa Cruz Island, which is right beside his hometown of Espanola.

His only job was to repopulate his species as part of a breeding program in the country.

Today, around 2,000 giant tortoises have been released back the Galapagos Island, and that's a major change from 50 years ago, when only two males and 12 females populated it.

According to Washington Tapia, a tortoise preservation specialist, "it's a population that's in pretty good shape – and growing which is important."

Fair play Deigo, you did a good job.

Like a great many Americans, Margot Gerster has spent much of the week feeling pretty disillusioned by the result of the presidential campaign which saw Donald Trump elected 45th president of the United States.

And while countless Americans found their spirits momentarily lifted by Hillary Clinton's inspirational concession speech, Margot was fortunate enough to have a one-on-one with her in the wake of her shock defeat.

Taking to Facebook to share the moment with the public, Margot explained that she had been hiking with her baby daughter in New York when she bumped into Bill and Hillary Clinton walking their dogs.

"I've been feeling so heartbroken since yesterday's election and decided what better way to relax than take my girls hiking," Margot wrote in a post which has been liked a staggering 107,000 times in just 13 hours.

"We were the only ones there and it was so beautiful and relaxing. As we were leaving, I heard a bit of rustling coming towards me and as I stepped into the clearing there she was, Hillary Clinton and Bill with their dogs doing exactly the same thing as I was."

Explaining the impact Hillary's campaign has had on her as a mother, Margot added: "I got to hug her and talk to her and tell her that one of my most proudest moments as a mother was taking Phoebe with me to vote for her."

"She hugged me and thanked me and we exchanged some sweet pleasantries and then I let them continue their walk. Now, I'm not one for signs but I think ill definitely take this one. So proud."

Unsurprisingly, Margot has been inundated with comments from people all over the world who were touched by her impromptu meeting with Hillary.

"This is amazing!!! Can't wait for the shot 30 years from now when your daughter gets the chance to run for president because of the work Hillary did!' wrote one."That's gonna be an incredible before and after shot."

We're with them on that one.

The 35-year-old was speaking to Us Weekly and accidentally revealed which one of Rory's boys she won't be getting back together with.

Spilling the beans that Rory and Dean only have one scene together, she said: "It was great working with him again.

"He's always so affable and friendly, and he's got this great energy. Our scene was so fun to film. It was great to work with him again."

Only copping on to what she said, Alexis exclaimed: "I guess I just said that! So oops!"

Pippa O'Connor went from one of Ireland's most known models to a business woman in only a few years.

And she's a pretty successful business woman, too. In the last month alone, she has not only launched a new denim collection, Poco by Pippa, but also released a book, Simple Tips To Live Beautifully and debuted her new app for her blog.

With all of that under her belt, and two kids, we just don't know how she does it.

Speaking to VIP Magazine, Pippa believes that it's all about balance.

“I suppose I just try to have a good balance, which is tough. My idea of balance may be totally different to someone else’s. I try to take everything in my stride.

“I’ve a really good team around me and I take all the help I can get with the kids, I don’t try to be Superwoman, because it’s simply not possible,” she said.

The mum-of-two also revealed that 3-year-old Ollie absolutely loves his 5-month-old brother Louis, but she can't see herself with anymore children just yet.

“Ah he loves him! Like, he’s obsessed with him. I can’t even imagine having another one in the mix right now though, I’m very happy with what I have.

"We feel very lucky," she added.

From Miley Cyrus’ tears to Lady Gaga’s protest, Donald Trump’s election has elicited a variety of responses from Hollywood’s elite.

However, at this early stage, few stars have surmised America’s current political situation as eloquently as The Hunger Games’ Jennifer Lawrence.

In an open letter for Vice’s Broadly, the 26-year-old Kentucky native has encouraged US citizens to transform their current state of anger and fear into a form of hopeful resolution.

Surmising the feelings of those left marginalised by Trump’s rise to power, the Oscar-winner wrote: “Is this the stark reality?…This country was founded on immigration and today the only people that feel safe, that their rights are recognized and respected are white men.”

“I want to be positive; I want to support our democracy, but what can we take away from this?  It’s a genuine question that we all need to ask ourselves.”

As an outspoken opponent of the President-elect, Jennifer continued by offering seemingly modest solutions to the anxieties of her peers.

“If you’re worried about racial violence love your neighbour more than you’ve ever tried to before – no matter what they believe or who they voted for.”

“If you're afraid of a wall putting us all into another recession then organize and stand against it.”

“If you’re a woman and you’re worried that no matter how hard you work or how much you learn, there will always be a glass ceiling, then I don’t really know what to say.  I don’t know what I would tell my daughter if I were you.  Except to have hope.  To work for the future.”

The actress’ powerful letter finished by recognising that the current mood is apt, but suggested that those left disappointed by the election’s result must continue to strive for progress.

“We’re all allowed to be sad that the present isn’t what we thought it was.  But we mustn’t be defeated.  We will keep educating ourselves and working twice as hard as the man next to us because we know now that it is not fair.  It is not fair in the workplace, so you make it impossible to fail.  And like Hillary, it might not work.”

“But like Hillary, you can still be an inspiration and get important things done.  Do not let this defeat you – let this enrage you!  Let it motivate you!  Let this be the fire you didn't have before.  If you are an immigrant, if you are a person of colour, if you are LGBTQ+, if you are a woman – don't be afraid, be loud!”

Earlier this week, Katie Hopkins infuriated people across Ireland by revealing that she will be appearing on The Late Late Show this Friday.

News of the controversial columnist’s impending visit led to the submission of letters of complaint to RTÉ and calls for people to boycott the historic chat show on social media.

In an open letter to the national broadcaster, Alan Maguire encouraged The Late Late Show to reconsider its decision to provide a platform for the opinions of a woman who, among other things, has “described refugees as cockroaches”.

Defining Katie as a “dangerous bigot”, Mr Maguire wrote: “It is simply not in the public interest to mainstream the dangerous views of people like Ms Hopkins in order to generate cheap and pointless Twitter outrage.”

“I thought The Late Late Show was better than this,” he continued.  “I believe The Late Late Show should be better than this.”

As expected, the former Celebrity Big Brother contestant has not taken her critics’ views lightly as she has taken to Twitter to challenge those who oppose her invite.

Replying to Mr Maguire’s tweet, the 41-year-old mother of three fired back: “A dangerous bigot?  I speak my mind.  Regular taxpayers are sick of political correctness and the multicultural mafia.”

In response to similar complaints, Katie wrote: “In my experience lefty lovies are braver behind their sticky keyboards, flossing their teeth with their toenails.”

And: “Ireland.  We voted for Brexit.  America voted for Trump.  Get over it.”

It sounds like Katie is coming with all guns blazing.

The persistent pregnancy rumours surrounding Cheryl and Liam Payne reached new heights this week as fans became convinced that the singer is expecting twins.

While filming an upcoming episode of Who Do You Think You Are? with the BBC, 33-year-old Cheryl learned that there is a history of multiple births in her family.

News that the star’s great-great-great grandfather fathered twins sparked speculation that Cheryl herself could be expecting two babies rather than one.

Yesterday, the X Factor judge’s 23-year-old beau shared a cryptic image on Instagram which appeared to be warning people away from his private life.

The One Direction star dressed the cartoonish post with the message “stay in your lane”.
