Becoming pregnant by a member of One Direction last year made Briana Jungwirth instant internet fodder as die-hard Directioners clamoured to share their thoughts on the relationship that existed between the LA-based stylist and Louis Tomlinson.

And unfortunately for Briana, the new mum has had to face an inordinate amount of criticism and scrutiny since welcoming her son Freddie in January of this year.

Taking to Twitter last night, the 24-year-old, who is reported in a custody battle with the One Direction star, pleaded with the public to respect her and her child as they reluctantly navigate life in the public eye, but unfortunately for Briana it did NOT go down well.

"To all those who feel the need to make disparaging, hateful and inappropriate comments concerning me and my son Freddie – I am sincerely sorry that you all have chosen to focus your time and attention on my life and the life of my son", she began.

"Surely you must have better things to do than pry into the personal ife of a single mom and newborn child," she continued.

"I am a proud new mother that is extremely joyous about my child being in this world and have shared that joy with my friends and family on a daily basis – often times through social media."

"However, that does not give anyone the right, or an invitation to be nasty and disparaging toward me," she wrote. "So, please stop prying into the private and personal facts of my life and my son's life in order to weave stories and peak public interest."

In the lengthy post, Briana urged people to rethink their approach to her and her son, writing: "I am confident that in the days and weeks to come, you all will find that your negativity and venomous attacks were little more than time wasted."

Unfortunately for Briana, it looks like her words fell on deaf ears with many Twitter users using the post as a platform to slam the single mum.

"I know none of this is real but she's making herself look like a f*cking idiot (I'm loving it), like honey sit ur ass down," wrote one.

Slamming Briana's post, another wrote: "She literally follows every acc out there abt her & "Freddie", also she can put accs on private if she wanted privacy lol." (sic)

Insisting that she's simply looking for attention, Briana's followers suggested she check her privacy settings before suggesting that her personal life is being invaded.

Well, that didn't go to plan…

The 4th of July has become synonymous with lavish celebrity gatherings, with Taylor Swift hailing as reigning queen of pop star parties. 

Taylor hit the beach in her home town of Rhode Island yesterday, throwing her fourth annual July 4th party, and brought her model-filled squad along for the celebrations. 

In attendance was Taylor's new beau, Tom Hiddleston, who declared his love for his new GF. by rocking a ' I heart T.S' shirt.

The couple appeared to be unable to keep their hands off each other, photographed in a loving embrace in the ocean. CUTE! 

Also in attendance were members famous #GIRLSQUAD.

Blake Lively hit the waves, donning a baby bump, with her actor hubby Ryan Reynolds, looking perfectly adorable. 

Gigi Hadid, Ruby Rose, Karlie Kloss and Este Haim were all in attendance, resulting in a party with more stars than the American flag.

The group enjoyed an afternoon swim in the sea, seen splashing each other and having general banter. 

See, they're just like any other group of fun-loving ladies…except they're all super rich and famous. 

Taylor, 26, who recently broke it off with Calvin Harris, started her new love affair with Tom Hiddleston mere weeks ago, and the press have been obsessed with the new couple. 

Rumours have been spreading that Tay is calling the Tom 'the one', and has even introduced him to her Mother. It all looks a bit familiar *cough cough Harry Styles*

Publicity stunt or not, they are a very cute couple.

Flat-pack lovers rejoice!  You’ll soon be able to build your own bike thanks to IKEA.

According to The Telegraph, the world's largest furniture retailer is set to grow its already expansive body of goods by launching its first ever flat-pack bicycle.

The Sladda – whose name means “to skid sideways” – will come in one colour, two sizes and have a mix of optional add-ons so if you fancy pimping out your DIY ride you can always add a basket or trailer.

As well as being lightweight and chainless, the Sladda's gears are automatic – which means they go up and down with your movements.

IKEA is so confident with its new product they’ve guaranteed it for 15,000 kilometres but according to The Guardian, the Sladda isn’t quite the flat-pack dream you’d expect as their reviewer – who does cycle – found it pretty difficult to put together with IKEA's wordless instructions.

But if you fancy a challenge and like the idea of flying around the city on your very own flat-pack masterpiece, you could get a Sladda from €700 later this year.

Let's face it, using social media to take the p*ss out of your parents is just part and parcel of being an obnoxious millennial.

Even though they may have taught you how to use a spoon and pull up your pants, they're unfortunately fair game when it comes to sarky Twitter quips or scathing Facebook statuses.

But it looks like one lad may think twice before deciding to shame his mum in public again if the results of his latest tweet are anything to go by.

"Worst thing about me mother not answering her phone, is her voicemail reminding me that she's on the absolute poverty Tesco Mobile," wrote Mr Joe Lee this weekend in a post which didn't go unnoticed by the good folk behind the network.

Responding to Joe's tweet, they came back with 'Nah the worst thing is your own mother blatantly ignoring your calls', and then. ladies, all hell broke loose.

Absolutely loving the fact Joe got schooled in front of millions, Twitter users wasted no time rubbing his nose in it…cos that's what people do online, right?

"This is it, the most lit tweet of the day. I might transfer to tesco mobile now," wrote one while another commented 'YOU'VE JUST BEEN ENDED BY TESCO MOBILE'.

It's hard to believe that it's been almost two decades since Posh and Becks tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in Dublin's Luttrellstown Castle, isn't it?

Two years after becoming one of the most high-profile couples in the world and just months after welcoming their first child, David and Victoria said 'I do', and today the footballer has paid tribute to that milestone moment in his life.

Taking to Instagram with a throwback snap of their wedding day, 41-year-old David wrote "Wow 17 years ago to this day this happened… I was lucky to meet someone who has the same drive and wanted the same things in life."

"We have created 4 beautiful children that I couldn't wish for a more loving and caring mummy for them," he continued. "Happy anniversary I love u." (sic)

Equally moved by memories of their special day, Victoria also took to Instagram this morning to share a snap of the pair hugging, and wrote: "I feel so loved and truly blessed. My best friend,my love."

"The kindest man who inspires me every day," she continued. "Happy Anniversary to the best husband and daddy in the world!! EVER!"

The couple's posts have clocked up more than half a millions likes between them, with fans of the world-famous family rushing to congratulate Posh and Becks on their anniversary.

"Happy anniversary to both of you, inspiring couple," wrote one while another tagged a fellow follower and commented: "I hope we find our David Beckham one day."

Relationship goals at its very best.

Whether she was rocking an Alice band, a long sleek bob or a head of beachy waves, Lauren Conrad generally remained pretty consistent when it came to her hair colour.

Warm honey tones tended to be the order of the day for the former reality TV star, but it looks like she's decided to go all Taylor Swift at the Met Gala if a recent Instagram preview is anything to go by.

While the 30-year-old Laguna Beach-native herself has yet to unveil her new look to her five million followers, Kristin Ess – Lauren's stylist – has teased the transformation on her own Insta page, and people are OBSESSED.

Uploading a shot of a coy-looking Lauren sporting platinum-blonde tresses, Kristin wrote: "Got to spend this morning with my human doll @laurenconrad and some of my fave ladies at @enews@cinalin @iamcattsadler {hair by me & makeup by @amynadinemakeup."

 "Just a bunch of hard working ladies making the world go round," she added in the post which has clocked up more than 8,000 likes since its upload this weekend.

The stylist's followers were all over Lauren's icy-blonde look, with one writing: "The perfection that is Lauren Conrad" and another commenting: "Lauren's new look is mesmerizing."

With the breakdown of her engagement to Nick Young and the revelations that Nick’s ex is now pregnant with his child, Iggy Azalea has been having a seriously tough time over the last few weeks.

But thankfully model Amber Rose is on hand to offer Iggy her support.

On Saturday, Amber shared a heartfelt message on Instagram in which she tells the Australian rapper she understands what she’s going though and encourages her to stay strong despite the drama.

She wrote: “My heart goes out to you@thenewclassic I have been through heartbreak as well so I know what ur going through.”

“Stay strong and keep ur head up my Rosebuds and I support you and we think ur AMAZING!!! Not only beautiful but extremely talented!”

Towards the end of the post, the sweet message takes a true Amber Rose twist as she tells Iggy to go “be a hoe” for the summer.

We've all dabbled in a little online shopping after a few too many gins, and the worst that generally happens is we receive a dress three sizes too small which a drunker and more positive version of ourselves had such high aspirations for.

While we can forgive ourselves those early morning misdemeanours, we'd struggle to get over buying tickets to see Queen Bey and then forgetting to actually show up as one woman in the UK did over the weekend.

Last Thursday. 34-year-old Tammy, fuelled by a few drinks, decided to go online and nab herself, her husband and her son three tickets to experience the Formation World Tour.

All was well until the happy trio were on their way to Sunday night's performance, and Tammy realised they were late…a full day too late, to be exact.

Pumped they'd be finishing off the weekend in the presence of greatness, Tammy opened her Ticketmaster app while on the train to the stadium and swiftly decided that alcohol and online activity shouldn't mix.

"It said only past events and I saw it said Saturday and realised the show was over and we couldn’t go anymore," she told BuzzFeed after sharing her story with Twitter.

"I think a lot of Beyoncé fans on Twitter could relate to me feeling devastated," she said. "There were the odd people laughing at me, but a lot of people were genuinely devastated for me as well, so that was nice, in a way."
 

If ever there was a better reason to stick to Lemonade in the future…. (Yeah, we actually went there, and now we'll see ourselves out.)

Khloe Kardashian and rapper Trey Songz got the rumour mill running this weekend when they were spotted kissing in a Las Vegas club. 

After hanging out in the VIP area at his concert on Saturday night, Khloe joined the Bottoms Up singer in Drai's nightclub where – according to an E! News source – they were later "seen making out".

That same night, fans also noticed the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star in the background of the R&B singer’s Snapchat story while he posed with friends.

This isn’t the first time the pair have been spotted together recently as just last week they were reportedly looking cosy as they left Khloe’s 32nd birthday party together.

But before we all get carried away, a different E! insider said both Khloe and Trey are keen to keep their single statuses.

They said: "Both of them are not looking for a relationship, just some summer fun."

"He thinks she is dope and a sweet woman, but he just got out of a relationship so he is not looking for anything serious."

"He does like how confident she is."

Oh well, at least he thinks she's "dope"!

Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas proved they are all heart over the weekend as they treated employees from Pulse nightclub in Orlando to a very special concert.

A Facebook post on the club’s account yesterday revealed that the former Disney stars surprised the venue’s staff with free tickets to their sell-out show and to a meet and greet before it began.

The post – which was accompanied by a picture of those involved – said: “Nick Jonas & Demi Lovato, thank you for making the Pulse family smile #onepulse #orlandostrong #pulseorlando.”

A later share showed staff members in a human pyramid and was captioned: “We will rise and not be defeated! #onepulse #pulseorlando.”

According to TMZ, around 30 employees were also given a private suite at the Amway Centre where the concert was being held.

During the show, Demi and Nick – who are currently travelling together as part of their joint Honda Civic Tour – again paid tribute to those lost in what’s been called the worst mass shooting in US history.

As they were joined on stage by Andra Day to sing Rise Up, the names and ages of the Orlando shooting victims were shown on a big screen.

The move comes almost a month after lone gunman Omar Mateen took the lived of 49 people when he opened fire in the popular gay nightclub.

Some of the country's most handsome bachelors filled The Wright Venue yesterday in the battle to become the new Mr Ireland, but it was one fitness enthusiast who took home the crown.

In association with Platinum Barbers, the Mr Ireland competition was judged by top stylist Sonja Mohlich, talent agent Julian Benson, current Miss Ireland 2016 Sacha Livingstone, Platinum Barbers owner Richie Lalor and Mr Ireland 2015, Karl Bowe. 

The model took home the new title, and was congratulated all over social media yesterday.

Good choice, right?

Speaking to Goss, 2015's winner Karl said, “Mr. Ireland has opened so many doors for me and my chosen career in the entertainment business, I have loved every moment of it from presenting my Country at Mr. World to  allowing me to go for my dreams.

“I have been honoured to hold the title the last two years and I won’t lie when I say I will be sad my time has come to end but look forward to see what the new Mr. Ireland will do with this title and wish him the best.”

Sometimes, the Afternoon Slump is totally unbeatable, no matter how long you slept or how many cups of coffee you had.

Usually stopping by at around 3pm, it feels like a dark cloud is surrounding your head and it becomes *really* hard to function as a normal, working human being.

Well, as it turns out the dreaded slump isn't just all in our heads and it's a real, scientifically proven thing.

Francesca Bennet, health and wellbeing programme manager at AXA PPP Healthcare told Cosmo: "If you're lacking in energy and motivation in the afternoon, don't worry, you're not on your own. 

"Sleep is dictated by circadian rhythms also known as The Body Clock.

"The urge to sleep increases towards 2pm, this is driven by a natural dip in circadian alerting system and an increase in sleep homeostasis drive."

So basically, it's like a see-saw; when your alertness drops, your need for sleep increases.

"It occurs approximately 12 hours after we are in our deepest sleep at 2-3am.

"The Afternoon Slump is a normal feeling and has previously been associated with eating a big meal. This is not the direct cause, but may act as a contributing lifestyle factor on the sleep wake cycle.

"Poor lifestyle habits and insufficient quality and quantity of sleep can increase the feelings of tiredness and the Afternoon Slump," she added.
