Widely considered one of the most popular families in long-running Channel 4 show, Gogglebox, the Siddiquis came under fire this weekend after an ill-advised Facebook upload brought them to the attention of the police.

Preparing for a day of paintballing, Baasit, Umar and their brother Raza – who has only appeared briefly on the popular show – shared a photo of themselves in camouflage gear before making a tongue-in-cheek reference to terrorist group ISIS.

"ISIS training day, look how happy we look," Raza wrote in a post which was initially received in the tone it was intended before the post was brought to the attention of anti-terror police.

Confirming they had investigated the controversial post, Derbyshire Police assured the public that no terrorist link had been established, but acknowledge the concern born of the upload.

Speaking to the Mirror Celeb, the force said: "A member of the public contacted us after a photo of three men at a paintball centre was uploaded to Facebook, mentioning the so-called Islamic State."

"We have examined the photograph and are satisfied that the caption was not intended to be taken seriously, and there was no link to terrorism whatsoever," the statement continued.

"We will be offering suitable words of advice to those who uploaded it; however, no offences have been committed and there will be no further police action," they added.

Friends of the Siddiqui family have also acknowledged the questionable nature of the Facebook post, with one saying: "When you are in the media, you have a responsibility. His friends were liking and loving it."

Neither Baasit nor Umar have made any reference to the controversy on social media.

As anyone who’s ever flown long haul will know, there is nothing better than sleeping as you fly.  But as One Direction’s Niall Horan has discovered, catching forty winks mid-flight can have its disadvantages.

The Mullingar man shared a few choice words on Twitter last night after an overenthusiastic One D fan snapped him while he slept.

After finding themselves flying alongside the popstar, the fan shared a picture of Niall's nap with the caption: “And to sum up the PERFECT European adventure, I sat directly next to Niall from One Direction for 9 hours on my flight home from London last night.”

“He was sick and asked for no selfies, but here is a pic I snapped when he was sleeping lol he was so friendly!”

“Talked about Ireland, LSE, lolla, and more.  Not a British Duke…But an Irish Popstar will do.  Thanks for treating me so well Europe.”

Clearly Niall was less than impressed with his privacy being invaded as upon discovering the post he screenshotted it, re-shared it and wrote: “I think this sh*t is unreal.  I mean if you can’t sleep on a plane without people taking photos of you, what can u do” (sic).

In classic One Direction fashion, the band’s fans already have a hashtag trending over the incident.

#RespectNiall is currently doing the rounds on Twitter as fans share comments like “There are no words for this” and “All I can say is ‘HE’S REAL’”.

Kesha has reportedly dropped her sexual assault claim against record producer Dr Luke in an apparent bid to reboot her music career.

Buzzfeed News has reported that on Monday the singer began legal proceedings in California to end her ongoing sexual assault legal battle.

According to MTV, the Californian lawsuit – which alleges that Dr Luke drugged, raped and sexually assaulted the TiK ToK singer – has been on hold since last Summer while Dr Luke’s defamation claim against Kesha is dealt with in New York.

Now the star’s legal team has told Buzzfeed News that she has submitted 28 new songs to Dr Luke’s Kemosabe label, which is part of Sony Music.

They said: “Kesha is focused on getting back to work and has delivered 28 new songs to the record label.”

“We have conveyed to Sony Music and the label Kesha’s strong desire to release the single and an album as soon as possible.”

While Sony has not yet commented on the case, Dr Luke’s legal representative told Buzzfeed that Kesha voluntarily dropped her claims “because she has no chance of winning them”.

Early this morning the singer tweeted: "My fight continues.  I need to get my music out.  I am continuing to fight for my rights in New York.  Thank you for all your support."

Kesha has been unable to release any new music bar her True Colours collaboration with Zedd earlier this year since she first filed her complaint against Dr Luke in October 2014.

In 2005 the star signed an exclusive recording deal with Dr Luke which stated she must create five albums for the producer before she can leave his label.  So far she has released two albums: Animal and Warrior.

Why look! It's a lovely-looking Finding Dory lamp… I'll just switch it on – ahhhhhh! Truly the stuff of nightmares.

At least that's what one unsuspecting individual discovered recently.

Yes, Imgur poster benjaminknight said the innocent-looking accessory very almost gave him "a heart attack" when he turned it on.

Sharing before and after snaps on the social media platform, his full caption reads: "Bought this cute Finding Dory lamp to give to my friend's daughter… almost gave me a heart attack when I brought it home and turned it on."

And suffice to say the 'after' snap is oh-so terrifying – a faintly glowing ghoul-like skull structure that surely would do anything but send a little child off to sleep.

Eeeek!

Donations have been flooding in for the family of Lydia Daly-Shorten after she was badly injured in a fall in Guangdong, China on Saturday.

The Go Fund Me page was set up by friends to help the 26-year-old’s parents get to China to be by her side; she has been in the country teaching English since February of this year.

According to the donation page, Lydia is said to be in a stable condition but her family remain, of course, desperately worried for her.

Donations reached a staggering €11,210 in just one day, and in total they are hoping to raise €20,000 to get her family over.

People have been incredible generous, and Lydia’s father, Paul, took to the page to thank everyone for their support.

“We cannot express fully how amazing the support you all are showing for Lydia…thank you all from our hearts…” he wrote.

Janice Dickinson was diagnosed with cancer at the start of this year, and while she has been vocal since her diagnosis she has admitted that telling her family was seriously tough.

Indeed, speaking to Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford on ITV's This Morning today, the 61-year-old candidly spoke about how she was point-blank AFRAID to tell her children – Savannah Dickinson, 22, and Nathan Fields, 29.

"In the beginning I was in a state of numbness… I was truly – not denial or pity – but I just walked around feeling kind of numb because I was afraid for my children,” she said via a live link from LA.

"I was afraid how my two grown children would take the news and they were very upset. And then I went through a period where I thought I wasn’t going to be attractive to my fiancé.”

Janice was diagnosed with cancer back in March after doctors found a lump in her breast; she is now encouraging others to check themselves regularly.

"It's for this reason that I appear in front of you today to share my experience. I implore all women to go get their breast examined and do it themselves.”

The former Celebrity Big Brother contestant went through six weeks of radiation, but found that by talking to people during her treatment she was able to stay herself.

“I found Janice again by really talking to people [during treatments] and asking about their day… I’d make them healthy biscuits… trying to be of service to people that have far worse afflictions.

"That’s how I found my light at the tunnel and I just want to keep going. It’s not the end, I’m not out the door yet.”

Since the beginning of year, close to 4,250 people in receipt of Jobseekers' Benefit have had their payments cut.

The penalties were imposed for reasons including a refusal to "engage with services," or a refusal to attend meetings. Claimants may also have been unwilling to take part in the relevant training or upskilling courses offered to them.

A spokeswoman for the department said these jobseekers "can have their payment reduced by €44 per week".

The spokeswoman highlighted too that "the normal rate of payment may be reinstated at any time, if the jobseeker complies, as requested, with the activation measures".

However, those who continuously fail to engage with Social Welfare officials, can actually have their payments stopped altogether  for a period of nine weeks.

The penalties are part of overall Social Welfare payment sanctions which were introduced two years ago as part of a crack-down.

A little under 170,000 people – or 7.8 percent of the workforce – are without employment right now.

Aged 11, 12, or 13 – most young women tend to get their first period around the same time.

Sure, some are earlier and some are later, but overall, many of us kick-off proceedings within the same few years.

So suffice to say, (especially a decade-plus after the fact) we've never given that number all that much thought.

Until now, that is.

That's because, a recent study has identified a link between the age of your first period… and how long you're going to live.

In short, the later your period started – the more life you have left in you.

Yup, beginning after the age of 12 (as well as experiencing menopause after age 50) suggests you are in good overall health.

Indeed, this small fact could help you live happily and healthily into your 90s.

According to the 21-year study of 16,000 women from the University Of California in San Diego, women who start and end their periods later in life have a better chance of hitting age 90.

"Our team found that women who started menstruation at a later age were less likely to have certain health issues, like coronary heart disease, and those who experienced menopause later in life were more likely to be in excellent health overall, which may be a possible explanation for our findings," said Dr Aladdin Shadyab from the Department of Family Medicine And Public Health at the university's School Of Medicine.

So while may have felt desperately uncool at the time – it seems that getting period later could well be a pretty good thing after all!

Their relationship may have been shrouded in controversy, but there is no denying just how happy Ben Cohen and Kristina Rihanoff look as they show off their baby daughter.

The pair, who met while taking part in Strictly Come Dancing, welcomed their little girl back in June but only revealed her name in an exclusive interview with Hello! magazine this weekend.

Talking to the magazine, the couple revealed that they have named their daughter, who weighed 7lbs 1oz when she was born, Milena, which they will shorten to Mila.

However, little Mila’s entry into the world was not an easy one; Kristina’s labour lasted 19-and-a-half hours and the youngster was born with the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck.

“Every time Kristina pushed, the cord was pulling the baby back. There comes a point when it is not happening and you do worry,” said Ben, 37, who has two other children – eight-year-old twin daughters from his marriage to Abby Blayney, whom he was married to when he met Kristina.

“Kristina was amazing and I’m so very proud. Mila has changed the dynamic – another little human in our lives. She is our creation and that is amazing.”

Describing how she feels about being a mum, Kristina, 38, said that she has a feeling of being settled: “I’m in a happy place. I feel a sense of security with Ben being next to me.”

OK, so she has one of the world's most perfect bodies.

From looking liking a perfect vision in a bikini on a beach… to looking like a perfect vision, well, in a bikini on the catwalk, Gigi Hadid brings all the #bodygoals (bank holiday Monday overindulgence shame right here).

But the 22-year-old's latest Instagram post has certainly raised eyebrows – because in it the model girlfriend of Zayn Malik has a physique that definitely looks a little enhanced.

Posing up and looking fab in a small bikini, Gigi left the image – which notched up 1.1m likes in less than 10hours – without a caption.

Still, her fans were quick to speculate. One asked blatantly: "Where did your boobs come from??" Another stated equally boldly: "Her boobs fake??" And a third added somewhat more neutrally: "Her boobs look soo big!"

Not everyone, however, is convinced that surgery is at play. One fan offered: "Photoshop boob job at its finest!" while another suggested: "Prob just intense editing!"

A further online observer highlighted: Oh no! You got implants, Gigi?? Even after your mother's horrible leaking danger??"

They were referring to the 51-year-old Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star Yolanda, who earlier this year revealed that silicone was "free-floating" around her body after a severe rupture.

The mother-of-three went under the knife to remove the implants, but in advance of the seven-hour operation admitted that she feared she wouldn't survive surgery.

Over the weekend, it was revealed that Gigi and singer-songwriter Zayn had taken a BIG step in their year-long relationship: Ms Hadid has now officially moved into his plush LA mansion.

She has a trio of Italian greyhounds, and a long-haired dachshund as well as sharing a rare-breed bulldog (reportedly worth tens of thousands) with her on-off rapper beau Tyga.

But it seems that Kylie Jenner is happy to add to her pack: she's just been given ANOTHER new pup.

Turning 19 next week, it is believed that the small tri-colour pooch is a birthday present from her BFF Jordyn Woods.

Her current crop of greyhounds are christened Sophia, Norman, and Bambi. Then her dachshund is called Odie, and the bulldog named Rolly.

This time, Kylie has settled on Penny as the moniker for her latest canine.

Unsurprisingly, the reality TV star has been posting numerous Snapchats of Penny… all of which we have to say are SERIOUSLY cute.

The almost 19-year-old (her birthday is on August 10) regularly reveals on social media that she misses her animals when she's away travelling and certainly she's known as a major animal-lover.

Earlier this year – while responding to suggestions of animal cruelty by online observers – Ms Jenner gave insight into the pampered lives her dogs lead.

Posting a two-minute video entitled K-9 Care to her website, she revealed that her pets eat a purely organic diet, drink only filtered water, have two walks a day, regular pamper sessions and constant human companionship.

Kylie furthermore has an adopted rabbit named Bruce.
