Tom Cruise has played many roles since his Top Gun days, but now it looks like he wants to bring it back.

The 80s movie is an absolute classic, and while speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live! this week, Tom said he'd love to bring Maverick back to life.

When quizzed about the comeback rumours, Tom said: "Jerry [Top Gun producer] and I were talking about it. It's just got to be right, that's all."

Tom also spoke about when he first went for the role, and only wanted it so he could fly a plane.

“I told my agent, 'I'm going to make this movie, but don't tell Jerry I want to make this movie, because I want to fly with the Blue Angels," he explained.

Would you like another Top Gun or should Tom just stick with the original and move on?

If you’re an absolute fiend for scary films and regularly bemoan the idiocy of the characters, then it might be time to put your money where your mouth is and experience your very own scare-fest.

Taking place at Grove Gardens in Kells, Co Meath, the Halloween Haunted Spooktacular Event is your only man if you want to terrify the bejaysus out of yourself and your mates this month.

Running from Oct 26 to Oct 31, you will depart from St. Audeon's Church and return to the same spot three hours later… if you’re lucky, that is.

If you’re interested in making this Halloween one to remember, be sure to pre-book your place in plenty of time!

We love new carb creations here in Shemazing! HQ, and this has sent our taste buds soaring.

The Croloaf is M&S's latest creation, and it's safe to say everyone is going mental over it.

The croissant loaf of bread has been described as the "perfect fusion of the French and British breakfast.

"Our croissant loaf is perfect for those who like the convenience of grabbing a slice of toast for breakfast but love the delicious buttery taste of croissants," the M&S spokeswoman said.

"Now they don't have to compromise and can enjoy the best of both worlds."

And better still, a slice of the croloaf is only a fraction of the calories of a regular croissant. The whole loaf contains about 1,000 calories, and a slice is about 114.

The loaf is around €3 and people are seriously impressed by it:

We can't wait to try it!

Look, we've all seen the episodes where the Late Late is just Ryan rounding up his Montrose mates for a bit of a chat.

But credit where it's due – on other occasions Tubers and his band of merry RTÉ researchers really pull out the big guns.

And this Friday is one of those weeks. Up on the couch is none-than Canadian Christmas crooner and all-round hilarious guy Michael Buble.

That's not all, however. Also in studio is Graham Norton, as well as Donal Skeehan, and Kerry footballer Kieran Donaghy.

To top it all up, the Late Late is celebrating the legendary Joe Dolan with tribute performances from – mega-swoon – Nathan Carter.

The Late Late Show, this Friday, RTÉ One at 9.35pm

First dates are an absolute minefield.

From choosing a location, deciding on an outfit and reining in your weirdness, it can actually feel like more of a chore than anything else.

With that in mind, it's always helpful when the person you're meeting plays by the rules and actually, you know, acts normal.

So, it's no real surprise that these lads could barely cope when comedian Laura Bubble rocked up to their first Tinder date looking like she'd been left at the alter.

In an effort to raise money for Stand Up To Cancer, Laura recorded her dates' reactions to her wedding day get-up, and frankly they're nothing short of priceless.

From the lad who told her he had to bail to the guy who denied he was there to meet her, Laura's mission to freak the absolute life out London's single male population worked.

Oh, and massive shout out to the guy who thought Dave was behind the whole thing… classic Dave, right?

When we try to dress up as our fave celebrities, it can be a total hit and miss. Sometimes we nail it, sometimes we don't. But that's OK because they have stylists and dressers and make-up artists… the list goes on.

However, one student in California had to dress up as a celeb for 'Spirit Week' in her school, and she totally nailed the Riri look.

Rihanna even thought she did it better than her.

After posting a picture of her all dressed up to Twitter, Riri commented on the post saying, "How she do me betta than me doe??" and then added a crying face emoji and a trophy emoji.

The picture has been retweeted over 20,000 times now. What a babe!

For a woman so in tune with social media, it seems hard to believe that Geordie Shore's Marnie didn't anticipate the speculation which would ensue when she made the decision to delete all trace of her boyfriend Lewis Bloor from her Instagram page.

Marnie, who got together with Lewis during Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year, decided to address the rumours that she and the TOWIE star had split during an appearance on Loose Women today.

Dismissing the reports that she and Lewis had called time on her romance, Marnie admitted that while they are finding their long-distance relationship difficult, they are still very much together.

"It’s really really tough just because we live so far away from each other.” Marnie admitted. "We’re working through it. It’s hard."

Acknowledging the fall-out from her social media move, Marnie appeared to regret deleting the photos, saying: "We had an argument and I went and deleted every single picture of him off Instagram.”

“I forget everyone’s looking and I thought, ‘Why have I done that?’ Like, now I’ve put so much pressure on us," she added.

And Lewis didn't help matters either after tweeting a message which appeared to suggest he was content with developments, writing: "One door closes another one opens that's how life works."

Keeping us on our toes there, guys.

As much as we love good oul Louis Walsh, too much of him can be a… bad thing.

The X Factor judge is set to become TV's new agony uncle in a show called Celebrity Advice Bureau.

The show centres around stars offering advice and dishing out their own experiences to members of the public who need a bit of help in their lives.

According to Digital Spy, Louis will be joined on the show by TV personalities Rick Edwards, Richard and Chloe Madeley and Ricky Tomlinson.

To be honest, we can't see Louis giving us any sound advice on our love lives, but maybe he can give some people advice on being a… manager??? We don't know.

The show will air this December on The W Channel.

If you were the type to keep a diary back in the day, you'll know how easy it can be to find yourself questioning your past thoughts and actions.

But with the benefit of hindsight and experience, most of us now feel more than capable of dealing with the trials and tribulations our teenage selves went through, but what about the trials and tribulations our future selves will ultimately face?

In a project which has given everyone in SHEmazing! HQ serious feels this afternoon, Alice Kiernan and Megan Daly invited 14 students of NUI Maynooth to speak to their future selves, and the result is a bit of a tearjerker.

As part of mental health campaign Note To Self, Dear Future Me taps into the fears we all face about our future, and reminds us to acknowledge how far we've come… no matter how short that distance might seem at the time.

Take a moment for this one, ladies.

When you see the glitz and glam of other countries around the globe, it's hard to believe that Ireland could have something that's branded 'BEST IN THE WORLD'. (Sorry Ireland, we love you, but a lot of you is fields and sheep and cows).

However, the Ballyfin Demense in Co. Laois has been named the best hotel in the entire world.

Conde Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards wrote: “If you’ve ever dreamed of summering at a country house, you couldn’t do much better than this stately, 20-room Georgian home.

“But the real highlight? Having a butler row you out on the lake before enjoying a sumptuous lunch at the picnic house."

Conde Nast did a poll in which 300,000 people voted and the Laois Demense came out on top.

Another two Irish hotels were also voted in the top ten; Waterford Castle came in seventh place and The Lodge in Ashford Castle came in ninth.

Ballyfin Demense scored a 99.11 rating in the poll, Waterford Castle scored 98.6 and The Lodge at Ashford Castle scored 98.38.

Have you been to any of these places?

When Honey G popped onto the scene we *hoped* she'd be a one hit wonder on the show and might get booted off after the audition phase of the show.

But as she remains in the live finals, fans and celebrities alike have been slamming the rapper, saying that she doesn't deserve to go any futher.

And the latest star to bash her is Boy George.

Georgie appeared on Good Morning Britain and told Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid that Honey G is "ridiculous."

"I think she would be a great BGT contestant but I think for a singing show it's ridiculous.

"The fact Freddy got sent home, it's a joke."

Freddy Parker found himself booted off the show last weekend after the competition went to deadlock and Freddy received the least number of public votes.

In a move straight out of a cinematic love story, one couple from the United States recently returned to Ireland in order to retrieve a pendant they buried in Co Cork almost 30 years ago.

Bill and Laurie McGrath were in the first flush of their relationship back in 1990 when they decided to mark it by burying one half of a pendant alongside a love letter during a visit Laurie made to Co Cork.

Laurie, who was spending two months travelling around Europe with her friends, decided to bury her 'Best Friend' pendant in a cemetery in Castletownroche in the hopes that one day she and Bill would return to Ireland together to find it.

Bill recalls the moment which led to the decision, saying: "Let me give her something we could still look forward to when we go back."

"You break it in half,’ I said. ‘You wear one half and bury the other half in Ireland and we’ll go dig it up someday," he remembered.

And after 25 years of marriage, the couple, who are now grandparents and live in Conneticut, made the journey back to Ireland, and found the piece of jewellery Laurie buried a quarter of a century before.

According to The Mirror, the couple were overjoyed to find it, with Bill saying: "“Here it is. Twenty-six years. That’s true love.”

"There it was as shiny as could be. We just cried and said," Laurie admitted. "I can’t believe this. This is amazing.’"

And if anyone need us, we'll be weeping in a corner.
