Stand up to Cancer

Ed Sheeran is the latest big name to be added to a star-studded Celebrity Gogglebox special as part of Channel 4 and Cancer Research UK's Stand Up To Cancer campaign.

The flame-haired singer will appear alongside fellow musicians Example and Big Narstie as they give their expert commentary of the best of British television.

Speaking out about the announcement, Ed said: “I’m such a huge fan of Gogglebox so it’s going to be weirdly surreal to actually be part of it with two of my closest friends, but when it’s for an incredible cause like Stand Up To Cancer, how could we say no?”

The Shape of You singer joins an incredible line-up of well known faces including Liam Gallagher, Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, and Labour leader, Jeremy Corbyn.

The special episode will air this Friday, November 3 on Channel 4 at 9pm.

Meanwhile, the singer yesterday announced he will return to Asia next year after he was forced to cancel a number of gigs following a biking accident in London earlier this month.

It's no secret that Liam Gallagher likes to express his opinion.

Since the early nineties, the former Oasis frontman has made a name for himself as one of the most brash and outspoken stars in the music industry – a quality that has earned him both praise and criticism over the years.

It's been reported that Liam has signed up to take part in the upcoming Celebrity Gogglebox for a special Stand Up To Cancer edition of show.

The singer will be joined by his mother, Peggy, and son, 16-year-old Gene.

According to The Sun, an insider said: “Liam is one of the most opinionated celebrities ever.

“To get him talking about current shows will be TV Gold.

“If he’s half as ruthless as he is on Twitter, viewers will be in for a treat.”

Speaking about his involvement with the show Liam said:

“It’s an honour and privilege to be invited on one of my favourite TV shows, the mighty Gogglebox especially with my fam and for such a great cause as Stand up To Cancer”.

The special episode is due to air on Channel 4 this Friday, November 3, and is set include a stellar celebrity line-up with appearances from Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, Freddie Flintoff and Jamie Redknapp, as well as Labour leader, Jeremy Corbyn.

First dates are an absolute minefield.

From choosing a location, deciding on an outfit and reining in your weirdness, it can actually feel like more of a chore than anything else.

With that in mind, it's always helpful when the person you're meeting plays by the rules and actually, you know, acts normal.

So, it's no real surprise that these lads could barely cope when comedian Laura Bubble rocked up to their first Tinder date looking like she'd been left at the alter.

In an effort to raise money for Stand Up To Cancer, Laura recorded her dates' reactions to her wedding day get-up, and frankly they're nothing short of priceless.

From the lad who told her he had to bail to the guy who denied he was there to meet her, Laura's mission to freak the absolute life out London's single male population worked.

Oh, and massive shout out to the guy who thought Dave was behind the whole thing… classic Dave, right?

If you thought the Cavan twins were the greatest thing to come out of Gogglebox, something tells us you'll be changing your mind once this year's Stand Up To Cancer special hits our screens.

Getting their chill on in order to raise money for charity, Niall Horan and Olly Murs will be giving the Cavan twins and Limerick brothers a run for their money, and we can't wait to see what they have to say for themselves.

Commenting on his involvement in this year's special, Olly said: "I'm such a big fan of Gogglebox so being able to be on it with Niall is amazing, especially when it's for such a brilliant cause like Stand Up To Cancer."

The two lads, who rose to fame on The X Factor, loved taking part in the show, with Niall adding: "Olly and I had a great laugh filming Gogglebox and hope that we can raise as much as possible for such a great cause."

"With every penny raised going towards finding cures for cancer, we're honoured to be a part of Stand Up To Cancer's fundraising this year." Niall said.

If it's even half as good as seeing Jamie Dornan suppin' on beer and slagging the plastic bag charge, it'll be amazing.

No pressure though. lads…
