This is one study we can definitely get on board with!

We've all been there – sitting in the library or at a desk as your eyelids begin to get heavy and you know you are about to nod off.

Thankfully, we now have the perfect answer for your parents if they’re telling you to get out of bed in the middle of the day and to start studying.

A new study has been published in the journal Personality and Individual Differences titled “Napping to modulate frustration and impulse control,” which, as the name suggests, found that short naps can help adults control their frustration.

Researchers asked 40 participants to complete a set of really annoying tasks, such as drawing geometric shapes by hand – and really carefully too. After the tasks, some of those partaking took an hour-long nap while others had to stay awake.

When the participants returned to the tasks after the hour, those that had slept were far less irritatable than those who had stayed awake.

The study concluded that the “emotional control may become impaired from wakefulness that builds across the day, and that napping may be an effective countermeasure.”

So, there you have it. Day-time napping will actually improve your frustration levels and therefore your concentration – although we wouldn’t try this tactic with your teachers to get out of class just yet!

Hilary Duff has been making some waves on social media lately, mostly because of her unfortunate Tinder fail on live radio not too long ago.

In an interview Pride Source, the former child star, now mom to son Luca, has gotten candid about her relationship status and her old acting gigs.

Hilary has discovered that the usual Tinder method is a little bit more difficult when you’re a recognisable face. Shocker. She said that previous experience has given her a bit of a reality check; “I don't know what it's like to be a totally normal girl.”

She also noted including her Tinder experience in her Sparks video was because of her “strive for normalcy in my life every day.”

Not surprising seeing as she was just 14 when she starred in the Disney Chanel series Lizzie McGuire.

She revealed that being Lizzie has been “torturous” at some points in her life.

Evidently it can become a bit stressful when your life becomes your work: “the writers all knew me so well and were writing things that were happening in my life.”

Trying to shake her alter ego took longer than Hilary expected and she opened up about how that wasn’t always easy for her: “four years, five years after that – and I was still Lizzie McGuire to people and that was super annoying.”

It looks like she’s made peace with her past now though, and taking a break from the Hollywood scene is what she credits to her staying power. After years of touring and making films she says she almost lost sight of who she was, and needed a break to put things in perspective.

“At some point I was like, "I don't even know if I'm that person anymore, and I don't even have the time to figure that out."

She seems to have it figured out by now, but she did not she wouldn’t like to a 14-year old in 2015: “I feel like even more so now than it was, your youth is totally taken away. You see these girls dressing like they're 20 when they're 14.”

Sounds like something Lizzie would say..

July 7th is Tell The Truth Day, so if there's something you need to get off your chest, now's the time to do it.

Of course, there are always going to be a few white lies that aren't really worth the hassle of owning up to. Without a few fibs from time to time, the world would probably fall apart.

Here are just a few of the things we've all told a pork pie about on occasion…

1. How much those new jeans really cost
If in doubt, say they were on sale.

2. That we didn't miss your call, we just ignored it (sorry)
Mam, I love talking to you, but if you ring on a Sunday afternoon when I'm in the throes of The Fear, it ain't happening.

3. How much we really like that guy
It's all good until you mistakenly like a photo from five months ago while Facebook stalking him.

4. The amount of chocolate we ate before bed last night
That's between us and the two family size bars of Galaxy, thank you very much.

5. How frequently we skip workouts
"Yeah, I go for a run five times a week." *brushes film of dust off runners*

6. Our knowledge of world news not related to the Kardashians
Greece, eh? Time to roll out the bluffing skills.

7. And, in turn, the fact that we know FAR too much about the Kardashians
It's not our fault they're everywhere we look.

8. How often we've passed on top secret information for the sake of gossip
"DON'T say I told you this, but…"

9. Our level of drunkenness on a night out
"I'M GRAAAAAAND." *stumbles*

She'd just been knocked out of the fourth round of Wimbledon (despite being a former world No.1 – she's never made it to the London tournament's quarter-final stage).

So understandably, Caroline Wozniacki probably wasn't in the best form during the post match press conference.

Then – in a move that could be described as the very definition of adding insult to injury – a final question pops up.

"Do you have any messages for Rory McIlroy who sustained an injury to his ankle today?" comes the rather inappropriate query.

Cue Ms Wozniacki putting on her fiercest face; looking to the left, then looking to the right. She next stares intently at a moderator who is prompted (while also probably terrified) to tell the gathered media: "We'll stick to tennis questions."

The Dane was beaten in straight sets yesterday by Garbine Muguruza.

She and Mr McIlroy dated from 2011. They became engaged over New Year's Eve in January 2014 and were due to marry last November.

However, a week after the wedding invites went out last summer, Rory famously broke up with her over the phone.

We have all witnessed the insane body transformations of the Geordie Shore girls, Charlotte, Holly and Marnie.

So we can imagine that arriving in as the new girl and filming alongside these beauties while wearing a bikini in Greece would be pretty daunting.

Chloe Etherington, the newest member of the Geordie Shore cast, has admitted that she feels the pressure to lose weight because she just isn’t happy with how she looks and feels.

“I really hate my body at the moment and badly need to get back in shape and get rid of my jelly belly,” the 20-year-old reality star who currently weighs 11st has stated.

The former performing arts student who wants to get down to 9st 7lbs  said that her diet of “spaghetti Bolognese pizzas” in Greece was largely to blame for the rapid weight gain when she entered the show.

“I loved filming the new series of Geordie Shore in Greece but it was a disaster as far as my diet was concerned.”

Ms Etherington, who was a former figure skater, seems to suffer from a condition that a lot of us are familiar with – the stopping-for-chipper-after-a-night-out syndrome.

“My big problem is that I would binge eat late at night after we had been partying. I am terrible when I get mortal. When I am like that, I eat like a man. My favourite is spaghetti Bolognese pizza – that is lush.”

Chloe has been taking Forza’s raspberry K2s that were recommended to her by her trainer. She explained that they “take the edge off your appetite and give you a bit of added zip when you go back to the gym.”

Chloe said that they are helping to accelerate her weight loss and they have worked for other celebrities such as Chloe Goodman and Frankie Essex.

Those brows and cheekbones are certainly familiar. They’re probably the most famous in the world of film, but they don’t belong to who you think.

We had to a double take because Daniel Day Lewis and his 20-year old son are the image of one another.

Instead of gracing our screens with his fabulous good looks, Gabriel is turning his efforts to music and modelling. With those chiselled features we are not at all surprised.

Gabriel, the son of Daniel, 58, and mum Isabelle Adjani, 60, made an appearance at the Vogue Paris Foundation Gala yesterday evening.

The resemblance was made even more striking when we couldn’t help but notice that Gabriel’s navy suit with black lapels was very similar to the one Daniel wore to the Academy Awards in 2013 when he picked up his award for Lincoln.

The young model has already got quite a following on social media with his Instagram page boasting just over 10,000 followers.

Over the last few days he’s treated them to some impressive snaps as he hung out with some very familiar faces. Rubbing shoulders with the likes of Marc Jacobs, Karlie Kloss and John Legend, Gabriel seems like he fits right in with the celebrity crowd.

Can't believe I got to meet the legend himself 😉 He's been such an inspiration to me and my music over the years. Slightly star struck.

Quite a bit different from his famously private father who is rumoured to have broken up with Gabriel’s mother by fax in 1995.

The model made headlines in 2013 when a video surfaced of him rapping about the troubles his famous last name have given him, and marijuana. The rap was called Green Auras and included the line "Call me Gabe Day and not Gabe Day-Lewis… Cause if you're trying to call me out, I'm about to Gabe Day Lose-It."

Happy selfie with @themarcjacobs and @sebastian_faena at the amFAR dinner. Great cause, so happy to have been a part of it.

Now Gabriel is more likely to be seen walking the runway in Paris. He’s already walked for Alfred Dunhill and the Chanel Haute Couture show, and he counts his mum (nwaaaa!) as his biggest fan.

Aside from the rap video, not much is known about Gabriel’s relationship with his father, aside from a very sweet Instagram post he wrote on Father’s Day last year which read:

"Happy father's to the most compassionate, supportive and loving dad I could ever possibly ask for. We've stuck together through thick and thin but you never lost faith in the strength that our relationship is made up of. I'll miss you this summer. Thank you for making me feel like I am worthy of the incredible bond that we have. I'm proud to be your [son] and more importantly, call you my father."

Actress Jacqueline Jossa is currently preparing for her wedding to Dan Osborne after the couple got engaged last month, but it seems she is making some other very important plans at the moment too.

Jacqueline and Dan welcomed their first child together, a little girl named Ella, back in February, and this week they revealed that they hope to have more children soon. Dan, who already has a toddler son named Teddy from his previous relationship with Megan Tomlin, told OK! magazine that he would love "two more" kids to add to their brood.

As for Jacqueline, she's agreed to that plan. But on one condition only… that it happens after their wedding, not before. "I don't want to lose my body ahead of the biggest day of my life. If the time is right we'll start trying after the wedding," she revealed.

The 22-year-old actress says she'd love a little brother for Ella, but has a suspicion that could take a while to happen. "I'd really like to have a boy, so if we have another baby and it's a girl, I'd be up for having one more," she explained. "I have a feeling I only produce girls, though, so Daniel could end up being out numbered."

Former TOWIE star Dan popped the question while on holidays in Greece for a family wedding three weeks ago. Never one to shy away from the limelight, he got down on one knee in front of 40 of Jacqueline's family and friends… but luckily the answer was yes:

Sounds like these two have a busy year ahead.

We're all for kicking Sundays off with a whopper fry-up, but if you're trying to eat clean over the summer months, we may have found the perfect alternative.

Salad for brunch might not sound all that appealing when what you really want is bacon and eggs, but trust us on this one. Last weekend SHEmazing! checked out the brand new brunch menu at Dublin's Dylan Hotel, and we've already got it pencilled in again for our next post-workout brekkie.

As well as some seriously indulgent treats like the beef, black bean and chorizo burrito (which we drooled over as it sailed past us to the table next door), the spicy eggs Flamenco with black pudding and tomato concasée and of course the pancake snack with seasonal berries, there are some equally tasty lighter options too.

We opted for two salads, the signature Superfood salad with quinoa, pomegranate, avocado, citrus, pumpkin seeds and mustard dressing and the goat’s cheese salad served with tomato, beetroot, melon and smoked almonds. And once they arrived, we forgot all about that burrito:

It wasn't all about #eatingclean though, as the Dylan also offers a pretty irresistible cocktail menu.

As well as jugs of Sangria, Royaltea and Pimm's, there's a whole menu of single serve classics like the Margarita and Bellini we went for:

Perfection.

Brunch is served at the Dylan every Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday from 11am to 4pm. More information and a full menu can be found here.

Is there anything more attractive than a big ole set of pearly whites?

They are definitely hard to beat, that’s for sure. And we are most certainly not the only ones who think so.

According to a recent study, nine out of ten Irish women are envious of someone else’s smile, while one in five say that a good smile is the first thing they notice in an online dating profile.

With the amount of people finding love online forever on the rise, nailing the picture perfect smile has never seemed so important.

The Seapoint Clinic’s study even revealed that a massive 95 percent of women suffer from smile envy while over two thirds of woman want whiter teeth.

But it’s not just women that get the green eyed monster when they see other people’s sparkling smiles – 52 percent of men also admitted to being jealous of other’s smiles while 48 percent wished that they had straighter teeth.

A staggering 88 percent of those who answered believed that having a good smile is vital to having overall confidence and self-esteem. Now, that is a LOT of pressure to put on our chompers.

And just who do we think has the best smile overall?

According to the survey, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has the winning smile with 58 percent while our own national treasure Amy Huberman came in second with 36 percent.

Are you a little tempted to see what you would look like with a Hollywood smile? The Seapoint Clinic constantly provide treatment to people who are unhappy with their smiles and with their new digital smile design technology they can give you a clear vision of how your new smile will look after treatment.

At first glance, you might be forgiven for assuming that the naked man appearing on Justin Bieber's Instagram account is a friend or uninhibited relative.

But no – upon further examination, there can be no doubt that the nude body in question is that of the Canadian singer.

For one, there are his many, unique tattoos to consider. Then there's also his trademark toussled sun-kissed hair and toned physique.

Yes, it's Biebs alright… and he seems to have forgotten his pants.

There is no indication as to what prompted the 21-year-old to strip off, but evidently he thought it a good idea to add to the tropical surroundings of Bora Bora by showing off his bits 'n' pieces.

He captioned the snap, which has now garnered some 1.3million likes of approval, with a simple "look".

The as-yet unidentified photographer has a keen creative eye also: they lovingly captured Mr Bieber's firm buttock as the sun gently hit off his bare skin.

The Baby singer is currently holidaying with friends – including Joe Termini, who was attacked by a shark in Australia during the same trip.

It's not the first time Justin's stripped off either: two years ago photographs of him posing up with only a guitar to protect his modesty surfaced – promoting widespread hysteria among Beliebers.

Expect to see Dianna Agron and Carey Mulligan hanging out soon, because they're now both linked to Mumford and Sons band members.

While Dianna isn't quite at the level of being married and pregnant like Carey and her man, she did seem pretty smitten when she was spotted with banjoist Winston Marshall in Paris this week. The pair were pictured taking a stroll through the City of Love, holding hands and looking every bit the hipster couple in their matching sunnies.

The Glee actress looked casual in a navy and white midi-dress and heels, while Winston wore an open necked linen shirt and jacket.

Mumford and Sons are due to play a gig in Paris tonight, and Dianna mixed business with pleasure during her mini-break by making an appearance at a Miu Miu event while in the French capital. 29-year-old Dianna has been enjoying some downtime since finishing up her West End play McQueen on June 27, in which she played the lead role.

Prior to meeting Winston, the actress was linked to Jennifer Lawrence's ex Nicholas Hoult, who apparently showed her a more relaxed side of London during her stay by bringing her for a pub dinner or two. Classy.

As for Winston, he was most recently rumoured to be seeing Katy Perry after the pair were seen getting very flirty at a nightclub in Berlin last March.

On the surface, Dubliner Emma Murphy was leading a perfect life. Two beautiful kids, her own successful fitness business, and a supportive partner.

Her Facebook profile is full of hundreds of smiling photos of herself and her family, with no sign of any of the pain that was underneath it all.

But last night Emma posted a video that told a very different story. One of months of fear, violence and mental abuse.

During the video, Emma speaks honestly and openly the long-term relationship she has had with an unfaithful and abusive partner. Through tears and with noticeable bruising on her left eye, the mum-of-two tells her story.

I thought long and hard before posting this video, this is very difficult for me but I have to do what is RIGHT, if you or anyone you know has it is in a similar situation please share this video to inspire other women around the world, violence is NOT the answer!!!!

Posted by Emma Murphy on Monday, 6 July 2015

"I've been in a relationship for three-and-a-half years with a guy I thought was the love of my life," she explains. "He was the love of my life. I loved him with all my heart."

Emma then goes on to reveal the pain she has been hiding for the last year and a half – her partner's cheating, his insistence that she was "insecure" and "a psycho," and eventually, his physical abuse.

She explains that she went back and forth many times about whether she should come clean about what was going on and confront the issues head on, but that she has finally come to the realisation that "no matter where you're from, it is not right to raise a hand to a woman."

The video makes for emotional viewing, and since it was posted yesterday it has been picked up by news outlets all over the world. Hopefully Emma's story can do some good in helping other women to have the courage to take their own stand.
