It's official! After much speculation on the subject last week, it's been confirmed that Rory McIlroy is indeed engaged once again.

The golfing pro stepped out on the red carpet with his new fiancée Erica Stoll last night, after popping the question in Paris just a few days ago.

Just look at that rock!

Of course, this isn't Rory's first time getting down on one knee.

Rory and PGA employee Erica went public with their relationship almost a year ago,  just months after the golf pro called off his engagement to tennis player Caroline Wozniacki.

The loved-up pair were spotted ringing in the 2015 New Year in Ashford Castle, Co. Mayo, with eyewitnesses saying Rory seemed head over heels with his new lady love.

Prior to meeting Erica, the golfer, who has a fortune of €400m, was linked to Northern Irish model Sasha Gale.

As for Caroline, she too has moved on – with NFL player JJ Watt – but in a recent interview she recalled struggling to cope after Rory's shock decision to end things.

"It feels like someone close to you has died," she told The Independent of the split, which happened just days before she was due to send out wedding invites.

Let's hope this engagement goes more smoothly for Rory.

It's wedding bells for Rory McIlroy again, as the Northern Irish golfing pro is reportedly engaged.

The 26-year-old is said to have popped the question in Paris this week – and last night's romantic snap of the Eiffel Tower certainly suggests Rory was enjoying the city of love with his girlfriend Erica Stoll.

"Everything was great. There was really nothing going against me. I was happy, very happy. Then all of a sudden something happens that you don’t expect."

Let's hope engagement number two goes more smoothly for Rory.

Think Serena Williams is a softie at heart? Think again.

The tennis pro was out for a dinner with her fellow sports star Caroline Wozniacki last night, when she suddenly found herself chasing down a phone thief… and winning.

Taking to Facebook this afternoon, the US Open champ explained how she knew something wasn't right when a strange man spent a little too long lingering by her table.

"So this guy is standing next to me and something (I have now dubbed it my SUPERHERO sense) told me to watch him," she wrote.

"My phone was sitting in the chair but I just didn't feel right. He was there too long."

Needless to say, Serena's "superhero sense" was indeed correct, and the man proceeded to grab her phone, obviously not knowing who exactly he was messing with.

"He began to run but I was too fast. (Those sprints came in handy) I was upon him in a flash," she told her followers today.

"In the most menacing yet calm no nonsense voice I could muster I kindly asked him if he 'accidentally' took the wrong phone.

"He stumbled on his words… eventually he said 'Gosh you know what I did! It was so confusing in there. I must have grabbed the wrong phone.'"

After relieving the thief of his stolen goods, Serena said she walked back into the restaurant to a "standing ovation" from the other diners.

Signing off, the tennis star urged other women to "not be a victim but a hero."

That's advice for life right there.

She'd just been knocked out of the fourth round of Wimbledon (despite being a former world No.1 – she's never made it to the London tournament's quarter-final stage).

So understandably, Caroline Wozniacki probably wasn't in the best form during the post match press conference.

Then – in a move that could be described as the very definition of adding insult to injury – a final question pops up.

"Do you have any messages for Rory McIlroy who sustained an injury to his ankle today?" comes the rather inappropriate query.

Cue Ms Wozniacki putting on her fiercest face; looking to the left, then looking to the right. She next stares intently at a moderator who is prompted (while also probably terrified) to tell the gathered media: "We'll stick to tennis questions."

The Dane was beaten in straight sets yesterday by Garbine Muguruza.

She and Mr McIlroy dated from 2011. They became engaged over New Year's Eve in January 2014 and were due to marry last November.

However, a week after the wedding invites went out last summer, Rory famously broke up with her over the phone.

A casual game of soccer turned to disaster for Rory McIlroy on Saturday after he suffered a bad ankle injury that could rule him out of the upcoming British Open.

Although it's unconfirmed yet whether the Northern Irish golfer will be fit for the competition at St Andrew's next week, given the extent of his injuries it looks like it will be a close call. Rory took to Instagram this morning to share an update with his fans, posting a picture of himself looking sombre with crutches and an ankle brace:

"Total rupture of left ATFL (ankle ligament) and associated joint capsule damage in a soccer kickabout with friends on Saturday," he wrote. "Continuing to assess extent of injury and treatment plan day by day. Rehab already started….. Working hard to get back as soon as I can."

As for Rory's ex-fiancée Caroline Wozniacki, we're sure she's feeling a little bit smug today after what has been an incredible couple of weeks for her. Not only has she trashed three contenders in the Women's Singles at Wimbledon so far to make it into the last-16 stage, but she also finally seems to be moving on from Rory with someone new.

Caroline and Rory split last summer when the golfer suddenly called off their engagement during a seven-minute phone call. Tennis pro Caroline was left heartbroken, but a year on she has found love again with NFL player JJ Watt.

Now that Rory's been forced to take some time off, we wonder if he'll be checking out Caroline's latest Wimbledon match today from his sick bed…

Since her highly publicised break-up from Rory McIlroy last May, Caroline Wozniacki has been relatively quiet on the dating scene… until now.

The tennis pro was left heartbroken when Rory called their engagement off over the phone last summer, just days after wedding invitations had been sent out. Although Northern Irish golfing star Rory has been linked to a string of models since the split, Caroline has been content to wait for the right person to come along, and it seems she didn't have to wait too long.

Fans first spotted Caroline with NFL player JJ Watt at an American football game back in April. Neither of the pair have yet to officially confirm the relationship, but given their recent joint vacations to Florida and Paris in recent weeks, it seems pretty official to us.

Speaking earlier this year about her shock split from Rory, Caroline said she struggled hugely to cope with what happened at the time. "It feels like someone close to you has died," she said of the split in an interview with The Independent.

"In my head I had everything until that moment. I had a great career, I was getting married, I had a perfect family. Everything was great. There was really nothing going against me. I was happy, very happy. Then all of a sudden something happens that you don’t expect."

After such a rocky road, we're glad to see Caroline has found love again. But the real worry here is… will she be able to finally wear heels this time around?

Hopefully JJ can succeed where other boyfriends have failed!

Rory McIlroy might have dumped her just months before their wedding date, but tennis pro Caroline Wozniacki has moved on – and she doesn't need our sympathy.

The sports star was left reeling when Northern Irish golfer Rory made the shock decision to call the wedding off, and says it took her a while to come to terms with the loss.

Despite her heartbreak, Caroline says she learnt a lot about herself after the break-up. "I think I didn’t know how strong I was until that happened. And I didn’t know how much you can actually take… You have to go through all of that. I think that taught me so much. I think I grew up so much in that short amount of time."

Rory was quick to move on from the split, and was spotted out and about with Northern Irish model Sasha Gale just weeks later.

Caroline instead decided to throw herself into her career – though she did make a few sly digs at Rory along the way, like this epic Instagram burn shortly after the split where she revealed she hadn't worn high heels in three years to avoid towering over poor Rory:

Love it!

Although she has not yet found another serious love interest, Caroline says she is taking things as they come. "I know what I want, I know what I can accept, what I can’t accept, what I need, what I don’t need. I think those are all things that I can bring with me in the future. And if I meet another guy who I think is great, then I also know what I can expect from myself and from him."

What a brilliant attitude to have!

Caroline Wozniacki has revealed the shocking way she learnt that her engagement to Rory McIlroy was over.

The tennis star opened up about the high-profile break-up, saying it was done over a ten-minute PHONE CALL.

Nice one, Rory!

Caroline spoke about the awful time to a US television show In Depth with Graham Bensinger, saying: “I was shocked, I thought at least I would get a face-to-face or something but there was nothing. It was just a phone call and then I did not hear from him again.”

She continued on to say that it was made all the more difficult as Rory made the entire ordeal very public from the beginning: “It was very hard because he made it very public from the start. He put out a press release and all of that so it just got put in my face.”

Caroline also said that at first she believed the phone call was a joke.

Thankfully, she has now moved on and says she is on the lookout for someone new: “I would like a taller guy so I can wear high heels. I’m pretty strict with my box ticking. I look for someone who is honest, fun to be around and doesn’t take himself too seriously.”

It’s good that Caroline got to tell her side of the story, just as Rory did – we just hope he’s not sensitive about all of those height jokes!

Ooh, it sounds as if Caroline Wozniacki has well and truly moved on…to a One Direction lad!

And not just any of them, it’s our very own Niall Horan.

Caroline’s good friend, tennis player, Laura Robson, spoke about the match to The Sun: “Caroline is the biggest fan. She was so excited and happy and thinks he’s adorable. I’ve set up something beautiful.”

This could be the start of something wonderful, don’t you think?

Rory has also been linked to a new love interest, model, Sasha Gale.

It’s not surprising that Caroline Wozniacki would still be hurting after her ex-fiancé, Rory, called off their wedding recently (after the invites went out…)

The tennis star shared an image of herself dressed very pretty on her Instagram page with the slightly hilarious caption: “Out and about in Instanbul. It’s been 3 years since I have worn heels on a normal day out. #feelsgood #looksgood #shopping #highheels #sun.”

Enjoy it girl, you look amazing!

It’s been exactly a week, since Rory McIlroy released a statement that he had decided to end his engagement to tennis star, Caroline Woziacki.

But now Caroline has decided to open up about her public break-up with Rory, during a question and answer section at today’s French Open.

“The only thing I really have to say is that, you know, thank everybody for their support and sweet messages. That’s really nice.”

But Caroline also added that nothing prepared her for Rory’s heart breaking announcement last week.

“You’re not prepared for something like this, and it came as a bit of a shock. You need to just keep going and keep moving forward.”

Caroline said she wanted to keep her private life out of the media but was grateful for all the support she received.

“You know, what happens in my personal life, I just want to really keep that between my closest people around me. You know, I just have to move on.”

We hear you Caroline, we hope things start to get easier for you soon!
