Well now, this is interesting news.

We all know Ed Sheeran has some of the best collaborations ever. Whether it’s crooing with his bestie Taylor Swift, or joining his young super-fans on stage, Ed loves a good duet. And we love that he loves duets.

What we didn’t know, was that Ed Sheeran and Selena Gomez plan on doing more than just late night snack shopping together.

Rumours have abounded that these two may be the latest celebrities to get together, but according to Hollywood Life, it’s more of a musical connection that the two share.

Recently spotted together at the launch party for fellow musician Tori Kelly’s new album, the pair were apparently deep in conversation about working on some tracks together. Fabulous news.

A source close to Ed has reportedly said “he thinks she’s super-talented, has a great voice and the right appeal to front one of his songs.”

We feel like this could be the new musical dream team.

Ed is however, conscious of not bringing Selena’s ex Justin Bieber into the mix. The same source claims that “Ed doesn’t want to start anything with Justin Bieber and write a song for Selena about him. He feels she should concentrate on something else.”

We think that sounds like an excellent plan. Ed is a master musician and songwriter and we feel like Selena’s got enough talent, and serious sassiness to make for some excellent collaborations.

We wouldn’t go breaking out the love-heart emojis just yet though, while the pair are rumoured to be interested in working together, work is the main priority for both.

“Ed and Selena have been hanging out a lot together, but there’s nothing going on there. They just want to get to know each other better because they’re considering working with one another,” a source close to the dup has said.

Who knows, things could change, but we’re certainly going to be keeping a look out for any developments with these two.

This is probably the most awkward moment we’re seen in a long time.

Last night, hip-hop extraordinaire Kanye West took to the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury festival. The always cool and collected fashion mogul and music genius didn’t quite have everything go to plan though.

While he opened with his hit Stronger and the crowd went absolutely wild, things took a bit of a turn not long after.

Remember that time Kanye stormed the stage to interrupt Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech? How could you forget? Anyway, yesterday Kanye got a taste of his own medicine when comedian Lee Nelson crashed the stage during his performance.

Lee was wearing a white T-shirt with Kanye’s album name Yeezus printed on it, except, not quite. Lee had customised his own shirt to read ‘Lee-zus’, witty.

Before the concert, Lee had tweeted a message about the gig, which had been hotly protested with almost 134,000 people signing a petition for Kanye not to be a headline act at Glastonbury this year.

It didn’t matter though, as despite Lee even arriving on stage with his own microphone, he was quickly escorted away from Yeezy himself by security.

In a rather awkward moment, Kanye then demanded that his song be started over again from the beginning.

Then there was the moment he forgot some of the words to Bohemian Rhapsody after getting the thousands strong crowd to join in a huge singalong. You had one job Kanye….

That didn’t stop some of his most famous supported from enjoying the show, wife Kim was on hand to make sure there was plenty of photographed memories. 

Step-sister in-law Kendall Jenner was also spotted having the time of her life in the crowd alongside super model bestie Cara Delevingne.

Those who couldn’t make it to the festival didn’t suffer too much FOMO though. The BBC subtitles of Kanye’s performance were enough to keep hundreds of twitter users in good spirits all night long.

And the award goes to… The ladies of Cork and Limerick.

Cork residents have been found to purchase the most discounted deals on beauty treatments. According to a recent survey, the women of Limerick city are apparently the second most beauty obsessed in the country. Who knew?

Discounted beauty deals count for 31% of all those purchased on Living Social in the Cork region, while in Limerick it came to 30%. South Dublin dwindled down to 18% and Galway came in at 23%.

And what do these beauty savvy ladies chose to spend their hard earned cash on you ask?

Manicures, pedicures and teeth whitening are some of the most popular indulgences for the local ladies.

The online shopping website Living Social is reporting that people in Limerick are the ones snatching up those bargain beauty deals before anyone else in the country even gets a look in.

Haircuts, waxing, laser treatments and the all-important all-over spray tan are all high on the list of purchased beauty treatments. These ladies have clearly got their priorities.

For those in Cork, the most popular treatments were manicures and pedicures. More of these packages were bought in Cork than anywhere else in Ireland and the UK.

Let it never be said that us Irish ladies don’t like to look our best, and we’re not afraid to invest in or ourselves either apparently!

If ever there was a time to use the nail painting emoji it would be now.

You better grab the sun cream and your finest swimwear because word on the street is that this week is set to be a scorcher.

A ‘mini-heatwave’ is going to be gracing us all with its presence according to Met Éireann. The forecaster is predicting temperatures reaching into the mid-twenties.

Wednesday is going to have temperatures hit a high of 25 degrees in some parts of the country. And while it’s going to be fiercely warm for us so unaccustomed, we are being warned to expect humidity as well.

According to forecaster Klara Finkele, temperatures will be in the high teens over the weekend and into early next week. Then the warmer weather is set to rise up from the Bay of Biscay on Wednesday and Thursday.

Monday is set to be a hazy day with Wednesday being when the really warm weather is set to arrive. We’re getting the BBQs out already.

While we’re sure there’s going to be a rush on the beaches and the local shops will be swimming in 99 cones, we’re hoping the weather will stay hot long enough for us to get our wardrobes sorted.

Who else has some stylish summer wear they just can’t wait to rip the tags off? Fingers crossed we all remember the sun cream though, nobody wants to have to deal with sunburnt skin on the beach.

Well, now you can find out the answer. Candace Bushnell, author of the original Sex and the City novel, is transforming your texting and messaging limits with the launch of her new app.

The new and improved SATC themed emoji keyboard provides all the possible little symbols necessary for you to really bring your inner Miranda to the social media table.

The app is being launched in conjunction with Bushnell’s newest novel, Killing Monica. The page turner is supposedly an addictive story about love, fame and foolishness.

With all the trademark sassy humour that Bushnell introduced us to from the ultimate besties in SATC, we can only imagine her latest novel will be a good one.

In the meantime, if you’re not too keen on diving into a new novel, you can still relive some of your favourite memories of Carrie and the gang with the new app.

Are you in dire need of a decent cocktail on a Friday evening? Text your whole squad the champagne glasses emoji and you’re sorted.

There’s even a ‘sorry not sorry’ emoji for when you really just couldn’t be bothered. We feel like Samantha would most definitely approve.

Praise the musical gods!

Not only are we being gifted with the news that a Clueless musical is in the works, now one of our most favourite TV shows of all time is having a musical adaptation.

Creator of Cruel Intentions: The Musical are developing a new take on the hit Fox teen drama The O.C. There’s even a Twitter account for the new musical.

We can hardly contain our excitement. Christmukkah has come early for all the of the shows many, many loyal fans.

Director Lindsey Rosin and producer Jordan Ross shared a snap of the score on Friday with the lyrics to the song Paint the Silence. Die hard Ryan/Marissa fans will remember that song was playing during an oh-so important moment for the pair.

The series ran for 4 seasons from 2003-2007 (although to be fair most Marissa fans ignore season 4 entirely).

There’s no word as of yet who has been cast to play either Ryan (originally played by Ben McKenzie) or Marissa (Mischa Barton). A few of the other favourites have been cast though. Drew Sheely will appear as Luke “welcome to the O.C b***h” Ward and Christine Lakin will be Kirsten Cohen.

‘What about Seth and Summer?’ you cry. Or even Princess Sparkles and the famous daring Captain Oats? We’ll just have to wait and see, unfortunately.

The O.C: The Musical will begin its run at the end of August this year, it hasn’t yet been announced where though. Is it too much to hope that Dublin might be a worthy spot for the new show?

We’ll be keeping our fingers crossed and indulging in some marathon re-watches in the meantime. And yes we will be practicing all of the words to the theme song while we’re at it.

It’s been a tough number of weeks for reality TV star Khloe Kardashian after the shocking death of ex-husband Lamar Odom’s friend Jamie Sangouthai.

Today though, things were kept nice and positive as family, friends and fans wished the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star a happy birthday. Khloe, the second youngest daughter of mom Kris Jenner and her ex-husband Robert Kardashian turns 31 today.

Momager Kris Jenner took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message on her daughter’s birthday.

The proud mom refers to Khloe as “an amazing spirit” and a “beautiful angel”.

Kris captioned the image with, "I thank God every single day that I am so blessed to have you as my daughter. You are constantly inspiring me and showing me how to live a more enriched meaningful life.”

We’re not crying, there’s just some dust in our eyes, we swear!

After the dramatic year that the star has been through we imagine that the sweet gesture from her mom was well received.

In February of this year reports emerged that the reality TV star had decided not to finalize her divorce to Lamar Odom. Instead it’s been rumoured that since the death of his friend, Khloéhas been a huge support for her ex.

Her family have always been her support system and Khloé took to Instagram earlier today to show off the sweet present her nieces shared with her for her birthday.

It looks like Khloé definitely is the favourite aunt.

Last year certainly wasn’t all negative as besides spending plenty of time in the gym working on her fitness and playing favourite aunt to her nieces and nephews, Khloé was also on hand when brother-in-law Kanye West performed a rare free concert in her family’s ancestral Armenia.

Jessica Wright is apparently not going to be appearing in the next series of The Only Way is Essex.

The 29-year old reality TV star is going to be focusing on some new upcoming TV projects instead, according to insiders. Perhaps she’s taking a leaf out of brother Mark’s book then?

According to The Sun, Jessica will be leaving the show at the end of the current series. As well as other possible TV ventures, the brunette has also reportedly planned to become a published author, as well as her successful swimwear collection with Ann Summers.

Like other cast members of the show who used TOWIE as a means to project their celebrity careers, Jessica is apparently eager to venture into new projects after five years with the successful series.

Jessica’s brother Mark Wright has had numerous hosting gigs and TV appearances since leaving TOWIE, including Strictly Come Dancing.

An insider is reported to have told The Sun that Jessica “has built up a good set of contacts” in order to pursue her next projects seriously.

The reality star is has also used her role on the show to help her high street and online boutique take off, as well as trying to get her music career started. Unfortunately for Jess, the music industry wasn’t an easy nut to crack as all three of her singles failed to make much of an impact on British charts.

Having had a troubled relationship with fellow TOWIE cast member Ricky for two years, Jessica is currently dating football player Connor Wickham.

Ricky, 24, has previously made some not so subtle digs at Jessica in an interview with Star magazine which has apparently led to Jessica’s most recent Instagram post. Ricky is now dating Marnie Simpson, familiar to anyone who’s a fan of Geordie Shore.

While the reports are circulating that this series of TOWIE will be Jess’s last, her representatives has as of yet not made an official statement.

If reports are to be believed, there’s going to be some pretty spectacular double dates on the horizon for two world famous couples.

Rumours from inside the walls of Kensington Palace are saying that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie shared a tea party with none other than Prince William, 33, and Kate Middleton, 33. Can you imagine? The style must have been unbelievable.

Angelina has been in London recently in order to attend a lunch at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. It is believed that she was joined by husband, fellow actor Brad Pitt for afternoon tea with the Duke and Duchess earlier in the week.

The celebrity couple did not have their rather large brood of six children with them, but apparently they did bring a present for Princess Charlotte who was born in May of this year.

According to Us Weekly, “everyone got on splendidly”. Indeed, a source is claiming that Brad, 51, and Angie spent much longer with the royal duo than expected.

“They ended up staying for almost a few hours,” according to the source, who also said that Kate and William were “really excited” at their chance to chat with the Hollywood couple.

While this would be the first time the foursome have meet one another, it’s not the first time Angeline has been rubbing shoulders with royalty.

In 2014, Queen Elizabeth II made Angelina, 40, an Honorary Dame Commander at Buckingham Palace. That hasn’t stopped the tabloids from spreading rumours about the actress. Only recently press in the U.S were claiming the pair were heading for divorce.

A source told Hollywood Life however that this was not true and the pair had no intentions of filing for divorce.

The very private couple were crowned ‘The People’s Power Couple’ by Vanity Fair not too long ago following their journey from Paris to Nice with their children.

The couple chose to fly in economy class. Just like normal people. Lovely.

For the past ten days since the terrible tragedy which occurred in Berkeley and led to the death of six young Irish students, communities up and down the country have come together to help those affected.

Now, a Dublin GAA club have banded together to gather support for one of their members.

Jack Halpin from Rathmines was one of the seven people dangerously injured during the balcony collapse. Medical staff in California have described his condition at the moment as ‘fair’. The 21-year old had just completed a commerce degree from UCD.

Jack is a member of the Templeogue GAA club and has been playing hurling and fooball with them since he was at under-age level. He’s been known to be a great player and lover of both sports and represented Dublin when he was a younger player.

The website ‘Judes for Jack’ was created by members of the club with the aim of raising funds to help those affected by the deadly accident in Berkeley.

Jack’s family are heavily involved with the club and coached several of the teams. A spokesperson for the club said that:

 “Communities throughout the country have thousands of Jack Halpins with hopes and dreams of a bright and shining future in career and sport and in love and friendship, unmarred by thoughts of tragedy and loss, such as that inflicted recently on those young lives in California.”

The fundraising website hopes to offer support for Jack and others as they recover from their injuries and they wish for “communities to show that none of us as individuals needs ever feel alone.”

The website reads:

“Jack, among others of his friends, has sustained serious injuries which will involve periods of hospitalisation and recuperation and recovery, which we hope will be timely and completely successful and will allow Jack to return, fully restored, to the bosom of his family and his people.”

The club have made a touching gesture at such a difficult time.

Apparently we’re finally going to be receiving some long overdue heat next week. Met Éireann are saying there could possibly be temperatures of up to 20 and 24 degrees.

We don’t want to jinx it, we really don’t want to do that but- YAY!

Finally, an excuse to dust off those denim cut offs and head for the beach.

There’s just one downside; the added heat and general summer weather can take a serious toll on our hair. Nothing ruins a holiday like unmanageable frizz or nasty split ends.

Not to worry, we rounded up a few tips to help you master the summer hair woes and keep you on fleek whether you’re at the beach in Bundoran or jetting off to the Bahamas.

Problem: Chlorine can leave your locks less than lustrous

The Fix: Celebrity stylist Rita Hazan says the best way to combat this is to wet your hair before getting in the water. This stops the chlorine from being absorbed by your hair. Also, a deep conditioning mask wouldn’t go astray. If you apply it while you’re drying off in the sun the heat will help the product really help your hair recover.

 

Problem: The sun makes coloured hair brassy

The Fix: Hazan says that using a gloss twice a week before you condition as well as a nice weekly deep condition for coloured hair will help you keep your colour all summer long. Also wet your hair before diving head first into the chlorine, and when you’re on the beach, or strolling about town on a hot summer’s day, invest in some products with UV blockers. They’ll help your keep your style for longer and your colour plenty vibrant. Sorted. 

Problem: “IT’S THE HUMIDITY!”

The Fix: The number one cause of fizziness is your hair being dry, so your tresses will draw water from the atmosphere, making it frizz. The easiest way to tackle this is by getting a good leave-in conditioner to help your extend your style and keep things under control. No cornrows necessary. Phew!

We all know the type don’t we? The people who aren’t even sure listen to the radio on a regular basis are suddenly the BIGGEST music fans when festival season rolls around.

Wearing about 50 wristbands on each arm they’ll be strutting through the office on Monday morning with plenty of tales from the weekend.

Often fond of obscure bands from Europe who no one has ever heard of before, these people are the kind we wouldn’t mind tuning out every now and then. Nothing brings on a case of FOMO more than these festival goers.

Irish comedy group Foil Arms and Hog managed to capture this personality perfectly in their latest video.

We already loved them. Now we love them even more after watching this guy awkwardly profess is love of all things vinyl and ‘hip’.

The lads recently completed a world tour with a sell-out final gig in Vicar Street.

Foil Arms and Hog upload a new comedy video every Thursday and they’re promising bonus videos whenever they. They’re pretty busy currently playing gigs in Ireland and England this summer as well as filming for Jason Byrne’s Snaptastic.
