The Boylesports Irish Grand National takes place this Easter Monday April 6th, and even if you're not into gambling you could still win big in the style stakes.

Every year one lucky racegoer is crowned Carton House Most Stylish Lady – and with this year's winner taking home a prize package worth €8,000, we reckon the competition will be tough.

If you have an eye for fashion and think you could be in with a chance, all you have to do is register on the day at the Carton House Most Stylish Lady marquee beside the parade ring in Fairyhouse Racecourse from 12 noon.

Model and DJ Vogue Williams will be on hand to judge this year's outfits, and she's even offered a few of her "tips" for how to be in with the best chance of standing out from the crowd…

1. Don't forget your hat!
A hat or headpiece is essential for completely your race day outfit, and as Vogue says, it's "the quintessential accessory associated with any Most Stylish Lady." Whether you make a headpiece yourself or splash out on a hat, be sure to make a statement with your headwear.

2. Have fun with your style
Aim for effortless style and you can't go wrong. "Don’t limit yourself to a designer outfit, there are plenty of local boutiques and high street designs that can look equally sleek and I’m a big fan of mixing and matching," says Vogue. "Stick with what looks great on you and above all be comfortable."

3. Go Irish
Elegantly Irish is the theme of this year’s competition, so embrace the best of what our country has to offer when planning your outfit. "Ireland is renowned for its talented pool of home grown designers, from haute couture headpieces to sophisticated ensembles, so I am encouraging ladies to incorporate subtle Irish design into their outfits on the day," says Vogue. 

4. Make the outfit your own
"I love a lady who doesn’t conform but shows off her own unique sense of style," says Vogue. "As the saying goes, style can’t be bought, it is all about how you wear it.  So ladies, let your personality shine through your outfit and have some fun with it."

Miley is having another, er, vibrant week on Instagram.

Now, the singer has taken aim at North West, photoshopping bizarre photos of Kim and Kanye’s young daughter.

With seven photos showing herself as Nori on her Instagram account, her fans are starting to get a bit creeped out by it all – and we’re not sure we blame them.

It was only last week that Miley was accused of mocking North’s aunt Kylie Jenner on the social media site, and it looks like she’s done it again by photoshopping a baby photo of herself over North’s face and writing: “Going up on a Tuesday w Aunty KyKy.”

While we’re somewhat used to Miley’s out-of-this world Instagram snaps, we can’t help but feel photoshopping photos of a toddler may be going a little bit far. 

We wonder what Kim and Kanye think of Miley manipulating photos of their little girl – we can't imagine they are too impressed about it all…

Roddy Doyle's The Snapper has to be one of the most beloved Irish books and films of all time.

Now Sharon Curley and co. have been made a permanent part of Irish history with a plaque at the Rotunda Hospital in Dublin, where Dessie Curley found out he was granddaddy to a 7 lbs 12 oz baby… or a small turkey.

The tribute is part of Dublin City Council's One City One Book initiative, which encourages Dubliners to get reading the same book together for the month of April each year.

This year's choice is The Barrytown Trilogy – which is technically three books but we'll let them off. The famous series consists of The Snapper, The Van and The Commitments, each of which also enjoyed huge success on screen, too.

A chip van was even on hand this morning serving up food (and battered nappies) to Roddy Doyle, Dublin's Lord Mayor and Hot Press' Niall Stokes among others:

It didn't quite look like the original, but maybe that's a good thing!

Forget modelling and excessive selfie taking – Kylie Jenner is apparently moving on to bigger and better ventures.

The 17-year-old is currently dating rapper Tyga, and it seems they've been spending some time together in the studio as it's been reported that Kylie will launch her first single soon.

Music news site Rap Dose made the announcement with a post on Twitter yesterday, suggesting Kylie was about to drop a single called Forever Real featuring Tyga and Iggy Azelea.

It's worth noting that the image used in the picture is one of a series of photos Kylie shared on Instagram following a mystery photoshoot she did last week. The reality star gave no information about the shoot at the time, tagging only the photographer Neave Bozorgi and her hair and make-up team.

Could the tweeted image indeed be her official single cover, or was someone just having a little fun with Photoshop?

If it was in fact a hoax, this will be the second in a week for Kylie. Just yesterday a picture of a positive pregnancy test appeared on her older sister Kendall's Twitter account with the message, "I don't care what anybody says. congrats @Tyga":

We hope Kylie comments on at least ONE of those rumours soon…

Former X Factor star Stacey Solomon starred on reality ski show The Jump recently, and she seemed to be getting very cosy with one fellow contestant in particular – Steve-O from Jackass.

Now, in what has to be one of the most unexpected celebrity pairings in TV history, Stacey has confirmed the pair are indeed an item.

"We're seeing each other and seeing how things go," the singer revealed to New! magazine this week.

Steve-O has even planned a trip back to the UK next month, Stacey admitted. "After the show he had a day in England because of his flights so I invited him over for dinner, he's flown back since but he's coming back in April."

Last week, Stacey shared this sweet picture of the lovebirds with the caption, "@officiallysteveo miss you doofus! #JasmineAladdin X":

"He is just the nicest person. He’s young at heart and fun like me. But he’s also very thoughtful," the singer said of her new man.

At 40, Steve-O is 15 year's Stacey's senior, but the mum-of-two says the age gap is actually an advantage. "I don't think I could find a 25-year-old male on my emotional level, to be honest," she said.

"At 25, you're still a kid – and I have two children, responsibility and a mortgage, my mindset is a lot older than 25."

We're glad to see them both so happy!

If you’ve been scoffing at the popularity of quinoa since its appearance as a superfood in recent years, you may be forced to eat your words…

A study by Harvard Public School of Health has found that just one bowl of the grain a day could decrease the risk of early death by 17%.

The author of the research, Dr Lu Qi praised whole grains such as quinoa for better health: “Our study indicates that intake of whole grains and cereal fibre may reduce the risk of all-cause mortality and death from chronic diseases such as cancer, heart disease, diabetes and respiratory disease.”

Oats were also found to be incredibly beneficial to health due to a fibre called beta-glucan which helps protect against heart disease as well as containing a compound that helps to prevent heart attacks by cutting down on the fat forming in arteries.

It looks like it’s time to stock up on these incredible grains! As if we needed another reason to eat porridge for breakfast.

Mad Men and Bridesmaids actor Jon Hamm has reportedly completed a 30-day stint in rehab for alcohol addiction.

The star checked himself into the Silver Hill treatment centre in Connecticut last month, and has recently returned home after completing the four week programme.

A spokesperson for Jon confirmed the news to gossip site TMZ, saying the actor would like the issue to be treated with sensitivity by the media,

"With the support of his longtime partner Jennifer Westfeldt, Jon Hamm recently completed treatment for his struggle with alcohol addiction. They have asked for privacy and sensitivity going forward," said the rep.

Since leaving rehab Jon has made a number of promotional appearances for Mad Men, including an event earlier this week to unveil a Don Draper tribute bench in New York. 

The actor has previously spoken about the dark time he went through following his father's death when Jon was just 20. "I struggled with chronic depression. I was in bad shape," he revealed in an interview in 2010. "But I was very fortunate to have really good friends in my life whose parents sort of rallied."

The final series of Mad Men begins next month. Jon also currently appears on the Netflix series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

Kelly Osbourne has revealed she may also elect to get preventative surgery at some stage, as she has a high risk factor for cancer like Angelina Jolie.

Speaking during a segment on The Talk yesterday about Angelina's decision to have invasive surgery to remove her ovaries and fallopian tubes to reduce her risk of ovarian cancer, Kelly said she had also been tested for the "cancer gene" and knows she will eventually have to take preventative measures.

Kelly's mum Sharon had a double mastectomy in 2012 after discovering she had a harmful mutation in the BRCA1 or BRCA2 gene which placed her at greatly increased risk of breast cancer. At she time she insisted her daughters also get tested, which is when Kelly found out she too was at high risk.

"I actually do have the cancer gene,” the 30-year-old said on the show. “My mom made all of us get tested after she found out that she had it and got her double mastectomy.”

Kelly said she agreed "100 per cent" with Angelina's decision to undergo preventative surgery, first with a double mastectomy in 2013 and now with a second surgery. 

"I know that one day I will eventually have to do it too because if I have children, I want to be there to bring them up. I want to be there to support them in every way I can," Kelly explained. 

"It’s something I applaud Angelina for because she’s bringing attention to this,” she added. "People are now going to go out and get tested for it.” 

We're delighted to see this sensitive issue being discussed so openly.

This week, SHEmazing! were lucky enough to have a chat with the fabulous make-up artist Annette O'Brien about all things beauty. 

Annette is a highly-acclaimed make-up artist in Ireland having worked with big names such as Lucy Kennedy, Miriam O'Callaghan and even James Nesbitt.

1. What's your best budget beauty buy?
I have so many budget beauty buys but I love Carmex moisturising lip balm. I wear it every single day and it is so long wearing. It's fantastic to wear over lipstick and gives a glossy appearance too. It is one of my go-to products for a perfect red lip – exfoliate the lips and then apply a heavy layer of Carmex all over. A definite must in my makeup kit for brides. It's available in most pharmacies and Penneys also stock it now.

2. What's your top make-up tip?
The next time you are applying your makeup start off with the eyes. As a makeup artist, this is one of the most practical things I've learned. Once your eye makeup is done you can wipe all the residue from underneath the eye and apply fresh concealer and foundation then. No messy eye makeup here!

3. Do you have a favourite all-round beauty product?
I do for sure! I absolutely love Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Down Pomade. This is the most amazing brow product I have found. So easy to use and a little goes a long way. Brows are such an important feature and they really shape the face. I love the sleek, defined shape this products gives. I use this gel-like product in every one of my makeup video tutorials and there you can see how easy it is to use. 

4. What's your earliest beauty memory?
I loved Barbie dolls when I was younger,didn't we all?  I loved them because they had hair I could cut and restyle, nails that could be painted and faces that I applied makeup to! I did this to every single one of my Barbies – as you can imagine they were "a sight for sore eyes" by the time I was finished with them!

5. Most girls have a signature scent – what's yours?
I have two! For daytime I love Zara White. It's a fresh, floral smell and it reminds me of summer and holidays. For night & special occasions I always go for Carolina Herrera 212 Sexy. A gorgeous, lingering perfume of bergamot and geranium that makes me feel so girly. Every time I wear it people ask about it. I have so many good memories from the scent.

Despite Scott Disick’s recent stint in rehab not exactly going to plan, it looks as if his partner Kourtney is sticking by him. 

Scott entered rehab in Costa Rica last week but was pictured in two nightclubs only days later, sparking speculation that he had decided to forego treatment. 

Now, Kourtney has spoken out about Scott’s current situation – and is very positive about it all, telling E!: “he is not home yet, but he is doing well.”

The reality TV star also said that the father of her three children is taking time to ‘focus on himself’. 

Kourtney did not comment on the photos of Scott partying in Costa Rica – we’re sure it’s something they will work out together. 

Scott and Kourtney have been together since the beginning of Keeping Up with the Kardashians and have three children together, Mason (6), Penelope (3) and baby Reign (3 months). 

Lets hope they can work everything out and Scott can get the help he needs to work out any issues he may have.

It can't be easy to be inundated with hundreds, if not thousands of fans questions and requests every day. 

Thankfully, it seems to be a part of the job that Harry Potter author JK Rowling truly loves – and we love her for it. 

However, one such fan sent a ripple of annoyance through Twitter today when she told Rowling she couldn't understand how Dumbledore was gay:

"I wonder why you said that Dumbledore is a [sic] gay because I can't see him in that way."

It wasn't long before JK came back to the fan with her answer – and proved what a legend she is at the same time:

"Maybe because gay people just look like…people?"

Needless to say, her answer was met with a lot of love and admiration on Twitter. It seems her words were very much taken on board by the fan in question too, who replied writing:

"amazing answer…yes you are absolutely right. Such an inspiration."

Very nicely put, JK – you most certainly are an inspiration.
