It can be easy to be swept away with the idea of a grandiose wedding in a castle with everyone you’ve ever met there – but intimate can be better. And cheaper.

These simple tips will help your wedding to be just as down-to-earth as you are. If you and your guests are comfortable then you’ll remember the night forever.

1. Cut the guest list
If you invite the people that you and your OH love the most you’re guaranteed the night of your life.

2. Have the ceremony somewhere unusual
If you are into the idea of an outdoor wedding then pick somewhere that means something to you as a couple. That place will be special forever after.

3. Name each reception table
This can add a fun twist and you can make pretty name plates for each table.

4. Have a theme
And be as subtle or blatant as you like!

5. DIY as much as you can.
Nothing beats homemade crafts as party favours or drinking cocktails out of decorated mason jars. So fetch the glitter out and get creative!

When you’re short of a few quid, there’s no harm in turning to a cash-rich pal for a hand out, but asking Madonna for a $16 million loan is taking it a bit far.

Rapper M.I.A (real name Mathangi Arulpragasam) has taken to Twitter to ask Madge for a loan of $16 million after the NFL demanded she pay that amount in compensation for flipping the bird during the 2012 Super Bowl half-time show.

M.I.A. has claimed that her performance pales in comparison to Michael Jackson’s 1993 Super Bowl show when he, “repeatedly grabbed or fondled his genitalia especially while he sang Billie Jean.”

None-the-less, English-Sri Lankan rapper’s impromptu gesture during her performance of Give Me All Your Luvin’ alongside Madonna, has gotten her into a lot of hot water and she’s turned to her buddy for a dig out.

The Born Free rapper tweeted, “@madonna ummm ….. can I borrow 16 million ?”

We assume M.I.A is joking but you never know, the Material Girl might be feeling generous.

As Gordan D’Arcy says goodbye to his beard, it seems facial hair is in fact back in fashion. If your other half can’t quite manage stubble, they can opt for  the latest craze of beard transplants.

There were over 4500 transplants done in the UK last year according to the International Society of Hair Restoration and it seems the numbers are about to rise. The procedure will set you back £4,000 in the UK and about $7,000 in the US.

According to Cosmopolitan, hair transplant surgeon at The Private Clinic Dr Raghu Reddy, said: “Facial hair transplants are continuing to grow in popularity, particularly as we see beards coming back into fashion.”

Talking to the Independent, New York’s facial plastic surgeon Dr. Yael Halaas says men would show him photos of Jake Gyllenhaal and other bearded celebs that they wanted to look like. He said: “The demand for it has definitely increased.”

If it means we will be seeing a lot of David Beckham and Aaron Paul look-a-likes we are definitely not complaining.

At a loss for what to watch on Netflix tonight? Look no further.

Jonathan Keogh’s 10 minute supercut crams in 1,001 movies everyone should see before they die.

From classics such as Grease to more modern releases like Shame, the video stitches together clips and scores from the best movies of all time.

It took Keogh a year to finish the complication. His list is based on selections from Steven Jay Schneider’s book 1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die, as well as 215 extra titles the editor added himself.

“I tried my best to make it an overpowering exercise in film,” he said. “In another 130 years, this will be a completely different list. It was important to start with a film projector because film itself is becoming/already is a thing of the past.”

Our busy and hectic schedules mean it can sometimes be hard to look after our health properly.

Here are some important health related issues we shouldn’t ignore.

1. Get 30mins of exercise daily
You don’t have to pound the pavements with the marathon runners (unless you want to!) but do try and get that heart rate up.

2. Don’t smoke
It’s one of the worst things you can do for your health with high risks of heart disease and lung cancer – is it worth it?

3. Know your body
Be aware of your breasts so you will notice any changes. Keep an eye on your moles and get any you may be concerned about checked out by your GP.

4. Look after your teeth
Oral hygiene is very important for our health. There have even been possible links between heart disease and periodontal disease. Brush properly, floss and use a mouthwash.

5. Get your beauty sleep
Sleep is so important for our health, both physically and mentally. So get to bed early and wake up refreshed and content.

We can barely keep up with the whirlwind romance between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, so we wouldn’t be surprised if they got married in secret and didn’t tell us.

Johnny has been spotted wearing a ring on his wedding ring finger following the couple’s glitzy engagement bash in LA at the weekend and rumours are rife that the gorgeous ones have already said ‘I do’.

With the star-studded event attended by their closest friends and family, everything would have in place if they had sprung the big day on them without so much as a Hen party in sight.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star and his 27-year-old beau managed to keep their relationship hush, hush for a few of months after meeting while filming The Rum Diary in 2011, so that crafty pair may have given us the slip once again.

With four engagements, two kids, and one marriage under his belt already, Johnny doesn’t do things by halves, and let’s face it, if we were Amber, we’d be marching him up the aisle at breakneck speed too.

Emilia also commented on reports surrounding her dating life saying that she is single and happy that way.

Travelling is all about immersing yourself in the culture and the traditions of the country; this includes eating the delicacies of the places you are in.

Here are the four weirdest dishes across the globe that you just have to try:

Fried tarantulas, Cambodia
The entire spider is fried so if you have a fear of the eight legged creature these may not be for you.

Live octopus, Korea
Yes, the octopus is still alive. The live octopus is cut into pieces before seasoned and served for dinner, while the tentacles are still wriggling around.

Casu Marzu, Sardinia
Casu Marzu is a cheese that is infested with insect larvae – sounds yum… Thankfully, the unusual cheese is now banned but apparently people still want it and is available on the black market.

Puffer fish, Japan
Not sure why people would eat this as you could actually end up dead. The fish contains todrotoxin which is 1,250 times more deadly than cyanide so you might want to avoid this. Not surprising, only expert chef’s in licensed restaurants can prepare this fish.

Remember, while these may be considered an acquired taste to us to others they are yum

It’s the TV show everybody is talking about – and the TV show all of Hollywood wants to be involved in, even Brad Pitt!

Brad is said to be up for a major role in the show after it was reported that he has “tight relations with HBO.”

Having run a successful first series, HBO are apparently planning the cast for the second series of True Detective.

The series is written by creator Nic Pizzolatto as an anthology series meaning that each series will have different leads and different plots and places.

It had been speculated that the next detectives on the show would both be female but this latest rumour seems to dispel that.

There will certainly be no shortage of Hollywood stars clambering for a place on the show because “the roles are just so exquisite and complex.”

Will they match up to the genius pairing that was Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson though?
