Not every workplace has a Casual Friday policy – and of course, not every workplace requires you to dress up in the first place. If you're working in an office environment though, you may notice that things are a little more relaxed on the last day of the week, as everyone gets into weekend mode. While it's never really going to be acceptable to show up in yoga pants and a hoody (boo!) you can usually take things down a notch when it comes to planning your Friday outfit.

It can be difficult to work out just how low-key to go – and you definitely don't want to make the mistake of going too casual. Here are a few tips to help you strike the balance between professional and fun…

1. To denim or not to denim?
If you're dying to get your jeans on by the end of the week, it can be possible to work them into your office outfit – but be careful. Rips, bleached denim and low-risers should all be avoided. If it's something you can't imagine your boss wearing, you shouldn't consider it either. Go for a muted colour, like Lauren Conrad's forest green pair – perfect for easing into the weekend! Darker denim washes are also a good choice, or try a relaxed chino like Amanda Seyfried:

2. Blaze a trail
If you're wearing jeans, a blazer is a great wear to still look relatively professional. Avoid anything too cropped or tight – a longer blazer looks far more put-together. Victoria Beckham's relaxed black one gives a touch of luxury to her outfit, while Emma Watson's cobalt blue blazer is a great option for any day of the week:

3. On the button
A loose blouse or shirt is a great way to bring some summer fun to your outfit. Avoid sheer fabrics at all costs – they're just too risky for the office – but cottons and silks are great alternatives. Cameron Diaz looks just the right side of sexy in this white button-down. If you find a shirt too stuffy for Fridays, take a leaf out of Jessica Alba's book and throw a sleek silk kimono over a white vest or tee.

4. Get to the point
If standard footwear in your office is stilettos, you'll be glad of a break come Friday. A pointed-toe flat is a more professional option than round-toe ballet flats – Miranda Kerr looks totally classy in hers. If you need that extra inch or two, try a heeled ankle boot like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley – great with jeans or tights.

The first pictures of Ronan Keating in character for his West End debut in Once have been released and we must admit he is looking great!

The X Factor judge will have his first performance as Guy this November in London’s Phoenix Theatre.

Glen Hansard made the role famous in the cinematic version of Once back in 2007. The Frames singer subsequently won an Oscar for Falling Slowly, once of the main songs from both the film and the musical.

Ronan has begun rehearsals in Australia before moving onto the UK. He took to Instagram the other day to express his excitement, posting a picture of his Once script with the caption: “Big day today. First proper rehearsal. Thank you so much to all the @OnceMusical Melbourne team for taking care of me.”

The singer admits that the musical will be “a huge challenge and commitment” but that he is dying to get started. “I'm really looking forward to returning to London later this year and completely sinking my teeth into the role.”

Reese Witherspoon has just fulfilled all of our teenage dreams by reprising her iconic role as Legally Blonde’s Elle Woods.

There was no bend-and-snap or Delta Nu unfortunately, but we’re still loving the short clip, which Reese touchingly filmed as a shout-out to a sick fan.

The actress apparently received an email last week from a mum whose 4-year-old son Will is a huge fan of “The Pink Girl,” as he calls Elle Woods. Will is currently battling cancer and has apparently been watching Legally Blonde over and over while he is treated in hospital.

“Will has been watching it, like four times a day,” said his mum Julie. “When he feels good enough to want something, he wants Legos and 'The Pink Girl.' He finds comfort in it and loves the Pink Lady.”

The email asked for a picture of Reese holding a note to Will, and the actress gratefully obliged, posting an image with the caption “Will – I hear that you're fighting so hard and strong against cancer and that in the hospital you've been watching a lot of Legally Blonde and loving it. I hope it makes you laugh!”

She then went one step further and posted a video of herself in character, sending get well wishes to young Will from herself “and Bruiser.” Awww!

Fans have taken to Twitter and Instagram to share their own #TeamWill pictures and messages.

We wish him all the best!

The post-school or post-college years can initially seem like a breeze. Sure, you have to find roommates, get a job and navigate your way through the adult world, but at least you’ve got a focus. Then suddenly your mid-twenties arrive and, just when you think you kind of have a handle on this whole “grown-up” thing, it all starts to spiral out of control.

We’re all guilty of setting unreasonable goals for ourselves, and when we realise at the age of 25 that we’re not on the way to being a millionaire, or about to get engaged to a Ryan Gosling lookalike who makes breakfast in bed every day, it can feel like we’ve failed ourselves.

The imaginary mid-twenties you rises at 8am on a Sunday with no alarm and goes for a 10k run, picking up the papers and coffee on the way home. In real life, you’re waking up mid-afternoon every weekend morning and eating cold pizza for brekkie, trying to push all thoughts of work the following day out of your head. Cue a “what on earth am I DOING with my life?” meltdown.

Don’t freak out. The quarter-life crisis might be a relatively new concept, but you’re not the first twenty-something to feel like this, and you certainly won’t be the last. Questioning how you’re living your life is pretty much a rite of passage for any adult. It might seem like your parents had it all sussed out, but remember, you’re only getting a tiny portion of their story. Ask them and you’ll probably find they weren’t so certain about how to get through their twenties, either.

Another very important thing to keep in mind is that this is just a transitional period. You might be feeling totally lost and left behind right now, but it’s amazing how fast things can change in a year.

Could your worry and anxiety be a sign that something in your life needs to change? Remember, you’re the only one who can take charge of your own life and change it for the better. If you’re feeling trapped in a job or relationship, take a step back and think about ways to change that – be it an open chat or a move in another direction.

Don’t worry if you feel like you’re always second-guessing yourself – uncertainty is normal and can even be healthy if you use it to help weigh up your options.

As twenty-somethings, we’re in that difficult period between entering adulthood and actually settling into our grown-up identities. We need to embrace this time of change and remember that – like everything else in life – this too shall pass.

David Beckham must have been counting his lucky stars yesterday as he narrowly avoided injury in a motorbike accident on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles.

The footballing star lost control of his bike and fell off in the middle of the street, according to TMZ who released this watermarked picture of the fallen bike:

He allegedly tumbled off the vehicle as he swerved to avoid paparazzi on the street.

David had been driving away from the well-known Shamrock Tattoo parlour when the accident happened, and he enlisted the help of some friends from the company to roll the bike back toward the building.

This isn’t David’s first near miss while driving – last year he crashed his Range Rover into a female driver while exiting his home in Beverly Hills without right of way.

We hope he takes yesterday’s events as a lesson to drive safely from now on!

You better appreciate your redhead friends guys, because they could be the last redheads around!

Apparently scientists are concerned that the increased sunlight in Scotland will have an effect on the red head gene in their population, as the gene is said to be a revolutionary response to their gloomy weather.

Dr. Alistair Moffat, who works at a genetic testing company called ScotlandsDNA said:

“We think red hair in Scotland, Ireland and the north of England is adaptation to the climate. We do not get enough sun and have to get all the vitamin D we can.

“If it was to get less cloudy and there was more sun, there would be fewer people carrying the gene.”

Well, there goes future redhead conventions anyway. We’re devastated!

Former model and TV presenter Glenda Gilson has finally decided to settle down with her marriage to Rob Macnaughton in an intimate ceremony in Kilrush Co. Clare this afternoon.

The couple have been together since 2010, and got engaged last year when Rob made a surprise proposal in Central Park in New York.

Glenda walked down the Aisle in a beautiful cream Vera Wang dress, the same designer who created Victoria Beckham’s wedding dress.

Plenty of Irish celebrities were in attendance today, including  Louis Walsh, Keith and Lisa Duffy, Liam Cunningham, Xposé’s Lisa Cannon, weatherman Martin King, Philip Olivier and Sarah McGovern.

The couple, along with their family and friends, are now headed off to their luxurious reception in the five star Trump International Golf Links & Hotel in Doonbeg, where they will have a champagne reception, followed by a five course meal.

The rumour mill is buzzing with the news that Beyoncé is expecting a little brother or sister for Blue Ivy.

There has been a huge amount of speculation this summer that Beyoncé and Jay-Z are heading for a divorce, with sources saying they are living separately, that Bey was house hunting alone and even that the infamous elevator incident was sparked by an affair between Jay-Z and Rihanna.

The divorce rumours have been punctured somewhat by Beyoncé’s parents. First her mum came out saying that the rumours were nonsense and that her daughter’s marriage was “perfect”.

Beyoncé’s dad, and former manager, Matthew Knowles made an even bolder claim yesterday when he announced the whole thing was a publicity stunt.

“I know because we’ve done this before. So you sometimes have to ignite that tour. It’s called the Jedi mind trick. The Jedi mind trick fools you a lot.”

Hmmm. If that’s true, it sort of defeats the purpose when you tell everyone.

Now the big rumour is that Bey and Jay are expecting baby number two.

A source reportedly close to the couple said that they are showing all the signs of having a baby on the way:

“For the last month, Jay has been fiercely protective of her, just like he was when she was expecting Blue Ivy.” The source told OK Magazine.

“He’s been doing everything he can to ensure that Bey is in a stress-free bubble. He’s informed their entire entourage that they need to use relaxed voices, mellow lighting and listen to only soft music, and he’s said that all of the food Beyonce eats should be organic.”

“He’s really doing his best to make sure that she’s as comfortable and healthy as possible.”

Could it be possible? The couple (Beyoncé particularly) have been doing everything possible to reclaim their image as the golden couple with constant photos of them acting like a happy family, and an over the top appearance from Jay-Z and Blue Ivy at the VMAs this week.

The source claimed that though they are a business minded power couple, the new baby is to “save their relationship”, not save the brand.

“Business has always been a part of their relationship, but for Bey, family is the most important thing, and the idea of breaking hers up is strictly a worst-case scenario,” they said.

Though we’re still waiting for the official word, the baby rumours may have something to them.

When One Direction inevitably split (we’re not saying now – but in like, ten years!) it looks like Harry Styles won’t have to worry about his career too much!

Apparently Clint Eastwood has been offering the singer tips on how to make it big. According to Clint, Harry needs to take up martial arts to make sure he’s in the best shape ever.

A source said that “Clint spoke to Harry about his future in tinseltown. They discussed movie projects and then got on to the subject of achieving an action hero's physique.”

Did you hear that ladies? Harry Styles is going to have an ‘action hero’s physique’. Not that there’s anything wrong with his physique at the minute – but if he gets any better looking we think he might just take over the world.

Cellulite is one beauty woe that can affect anyone – no matter what size you are. Even Beyoncé indulged in a bit of photoshopping the other day, which we can only assume was an attempt cover up a bit of cellulite.

While it would be one heck of a job to make sure your legs are 100% cellulite free, there are things you can do to reduce it.

Cut out salt
Salt is cellulite's BFF. It may make everything that much tastier, but it makes your body retain water, aswell as toxins, which cause cellulite. You can replace your normal table salt with Himalayan sea salt as it’s natural and aids in hydration and metabolism.

Exercise
Purely losing weight won’t help you get rid of cellulite, but toning up will. Cellulite looks worse as muscles decrease and get further away from the connective tissue, so by building muscle and keeping it tight and lean, you can combat the dreaded ‘orange peel’ look. You’ll also be reducing fat and sweating out all those toxins too.

Brushing the skin
By investing in a body brush, and using it every time you’re in the shower, you’ll be stimulating the lymphatic system and aiding the elimination of toxins. Brush in circular motions on any areas with cellulite for about a minute to start with (as the brushes can be a bit rough and may cause sensitivity). When you get used to it, brush for a few minutes at a time.

Detox
Cellulite is caused by toxins, so a good detox goes a long way in helping to get rid of it. Try to eat more alkaline foods such as root vegetables, leafy greens, lemons, garlic and cayenne peppers. These foods attract out old acidic waste from your body, and improve the appearance of your skin.

Drink more water
Is there anything that drinking more water can’t help? Try to drink a glass of water in the morning rather than your tea or coffee as it speeds up your metabolism and gets rid of those toxins first thing.

Jesse Helt made headlines earlier this week when he was invited to the VMAs as Miley Cyrus’ date, and gave a moving acceptance speech on her behalf about homeless youth.

The publicity wasn’t all good news however as it was revealed a few days later that Jesse had a warrant out for his arrest.

In 2011 Jesse pleaded guilty to trespassing after he broke into the house of a man he believed was selling bad marijuana. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail and probation. He violated his probation, and an arrest warrant was put out for him in November 2011.

22-year-old Jesse has now turned himself in at the Polk County Jail in Dallas, Oregon, where he was booked on a probation violation warrant. He was released on $2,500 bail, which was reportedly paid for by Miley.

Miley met Jesse through the Hollywood homeless shelter, My Friend’s Place with the help of her friend Trevor Neilson. Trevor is the president of G2 Investment Group and co-founder of Global Philanthropy Group.

"Jesse Helt turned himself in tonight to Polk County authorities to address his outstanding legal issues,” Trevor said in an email statement.

"Miley Cyrus will be assisting him with this process, and they both are committed to working to help the other 1.6 million youth who experience homelessness in America each year."

Jesse’s mum Linda Helt confirmed that Miley has offered to pay for Jesse’s legal help in the coming months. He is due to appear before a judge in two weeks time.
