Russell Brand and ex-wife Katy Perry began dating in September 2009, got engaged a mere three months later on New Years Eve and married in India the following year, but it seems Russell has suffered severe amnesia and has absolutely no idea who Katy is anymore.

In a bid to educate himself on American holiday Thanksgiving, Russell chatted with kids in the States who kindly agreed to school the actor and comedian on their favourite national holiday, but things got kind of awkward kind of quickly.

When Russell asked one school child who she would invite to Thanksgiving dinner, the answer she gave seemed to leave the 39-year-old just a little rattled.

When the little girl responded with a shy ‘Katy Perry’, the normally quick-witted star appeared momentarily stunned before quickly mumbling “Katy Perry? I don’t know who that is." Surely, he could have come up with something a bit better than that?

When another young girl said she’d invite Ariana Grande, Russell insisted he knew exactly who she was, only making his slight against Katy all the more obvious.

Surely, Russell could have gotten into the holiday spirit and said something nice about Katy to her young fans, no?

It’s easy to think that global superstars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have the perfect life.

The recently-married couple are acclaimed actors, share six beautiful children together and live a life most of us can only dream about, so it’s nice to see they’re the same as every other couple on the planet, ie they fight from time to time.

The couple were photographed arguing on the balcony of a Sydney hotel and it seems like tempers were really starting to flare.

A frustrated Brad was seen throwing up his hands in irritation while in other shots Angelina looks contrite and upset. The Oscar-winning actress then went on to smoke a cigarette, a habit of his wife’s which Brad reportedly hates, considering Angelina's recent mastectomy and cancer struggles.

The heated debate took place the day of Angie’s Unbroken world premiere and may go some way to explaining the tension that was reported between the two actors at the event later that evening.

Speaking to In Touch, a witness said: “You could tell something was wrong. They were distant with each other. And once they were done promoting her film, they went their separate ways; Brad in one private jet.”

Hmmm…we hope it was something easily remedied!

As the colder weather sets in, our bodies tend to get a bit of a shock. Even though us Irish ladies are well used to the chill outside, freezing temperatures can still be hard to deal with.

As well as getting duller, drier skin at this time of year, we are also more prone to pesky illnesses like coughs and colds.

With a few extra measures to look after your body, you'll stay bright eyed and bushy tailed all winter long…

Winter woe: A cold that just won't go away
If you're prone to getting sick the very second the temperatures drop, some preparation is key this year.

Wrap up warm and include more immune boosting foods like spinach, pulses, citrus fruits and red peppers in your diet. Give your system a fighting chance by stocking up on supplements like vitamin C and echinacea, too.

Winter woe: Unusual tiredness, even when you're getting enough sleep
We tend to have less of a spring in our step in the winter months – make sure you're not oversleeping and that you're getting enough fresh air. Eight to nine hours a night is a good benchmark, and try to fit in a stroll outside even if it's bleedin' freezing. Your body will thank you!

Carb-loading might seem like a great solution when you're cold and in need of comfort, but it will only make you feel bloated and sluggish, so try to supplement refined carbs with whole grains and fresh veg.

Winter woe: Chapped and peeling lips
Our lips lack oil glands and when exposed to the cold air they can dry out really easily.

Skip greasy glosses and try a more medicated lip balm like Carmex or Blistex to really soften your lips and keep them protected.

Winter woe: Dry and flaky skin
Vicious winds and freezing temperatures can wreak havoc with your skin. Applying a good day cream while your skin is still slightly damp from the shower is a great way to lock in moisture. You may need to step up your skincare routine at this time of year – exfoliating at least once a week is important to stop dry skin cells from blocking your pores.

As for moisturiser, look for one with SPF and keep in mind that the sun's rays can still be harmful during the colder months. A good night cream will also go a long way to ensuring your skin gets a much needed moisture boost while you're sleeping.

Winter woe: Cracked and chapped hands
Extremities like our hands and feet can suffer in colder weather, and although we'd never step out without shoes on, we often forget our poor fingers!

Wear gloves whenever possible when you're out and about – try mittens than can be changed into fingerless gloves, so that you can still work that touchscreen phone with ease. Keep a good non-greasy hand cream on your desk or in your handbag and use it a few times a day, especially after washing hands.

It seems like the death of friend and Fashion Police co-star, Joan Rivers, has affected Kelly Osbourne more deeply than we might have realised.

The star has openly discussed her grief at the passing of the veteran comedienne and even broke down during a TV interview earlier this month when sharing memories of the star, but recent reports have suggested that Joan’s death may be having a negative effect on Kelly’s sobriety.

Ozzy and Sharon’s daughter has made no secret of her past struggles with alcohol and substance abuse, but, unfortunately, it seems like her past demons may be making an unwelcome reappearance.

The star, who recently turned 30, was seen this month in West Hollywood club, The Nice Guy, downing drinks and becoming increasingly more drunk.

A source, speaking to In Touch Weekly, said: “She was struggling to walk normally. She had been knocking back gin and tonics with her pals for hours. They drank until we closed- one of the guys she was with helped her get to the door.”

Kelly has spent time in rehab and drug treatment facilities in the past and claimed they helped her overcome these issues, so we hope she knows help is on hand if she needs it.

With some of the biggest nights of the year ahead, the pressure of choosing the perfect party dress can get a little overwhelming.

Rather than grabbing the first on-trend piece you see, shop for your body shape this year. You'll be oozing confidence – and Christmas sparkle!

Here are a few guidelines…

If you have an hourglass figure…
If your shoulders and hips are roughly the same width, with a smaller than average waist, you've got a gorgeous hourglass figure. Show off the smallest part of your body with cinched in waistlines and fit n' flare style skater dresses.

An open neckline and a nipped waist make this dress party perfect:

Caitlin Drape Crepe Dress, €62, Oasis

Don't be afraid to show off those pins, either – this tunic skims your curves in all the right places:

Sparkle Tunic, €56, Warehouse

If you have a pear-shaped figure…
A small chest, and shorter legs that are wider at the hips and thighs make you a pear shape. Go for dresses with empire waistlines or higher cut waistlines that give the illusion of longer legs.

We love this structured two-piece style dress:

Pink Jacquard Overlay Dress, €55, Miss Selfridge

And this sequin dress will sit perfectly on a pear-shaped lady:

Scatter Sequin Dress, €107, Warehouse

If you have a boyish figure…
If you're straight up and down with a smaller chest, go for styles that drape or gather around the chest or waist to give you a curvy silhouette.

This dress will draw the eye to the top half of the body:

Lace Bodice 2 in 1 Dress, €73, Oasis

And with a smaller chest you can afford to have more beading and detail all over:

Silver Megan Bodycon Dress, €112, Miss Selfridge

If you're curvy…
High-impact curves can look super-sexy when styled just right. Go for semi-fitted dresses that hug in the right places.

This plunging neckline is covered by a sultry sheer mesh panel, meaning you won't be on boob-spill alert all night:

Black Textured Mesh Plunge Dress, €87, River Island

This wrap dress looks amazing on all figures, and the waist-tie sash shows off your curves to perfection:

Red Bird Wrap Dress, €22.99, New Look

Kendra Wilkinson has had a lot of ups and downs with her husband Hank Baskett this year, and things have really come to a head this week.

The pair split dramatically last summer when it was alleged Hank had been cheating on his wife with transsexual model Ava Sabrina.

The couple were apparently reunited earlier this month when Kendra agreed to take Hank back, but a lot of home truths have been revealed on camera during her stay in the Australian jungle for I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here.

In an emotional clip aired last night, the star revealed that Hank had suffered from depression during their marriage, and confessed she hadn't been there for him.

Speaking to her fellow contestants in the camp, Kendra opened up about the heartbreaking details. "The only thing I can really say is not paying attention to severe depression with my husband, I wished to God I had… you have to hear people's cries and I didn't."

The former Girls of the Playboy Mansion star also admitted she had ignored signs that all wasn't well with Hank's mental health. "He came to bed so many times crying and I wasn't there for him," she said. "It's something that's just been weighing on me for so long."

It's been an overwhelming few days for Kendra, who also broke down in tears when she received a care package from home including pictures of her two children, Hank Jr and Alijah. "I don’t know what hit me, I just started crying," she said of the emotional incident.

We hope the rest of her time in the jungle goes smoothly.

Model Kelly Brook and her on-again off-again boyfriend David McIntosh are now very much ON, if the latest quotes are to be believed.

In an interview with The Sun, David claims that he and Kelly "can't stand being apart" and are "madly in love."

After a rocky couple of months, David says the couple "are back together now. That's the truth and that's because of love… Neither of us can help it, man. It's love, love, love."

Despite David's gushing words, it's hard to forget that as recently as two days ago the pair seemed to be moving on with new people.

Kelly was rumoured to be seeing male model James Crabtree and the pair were even pictured together looking cosy over dinner. As for David, he was pictured out and about with First Dates star Jess Impiazzi earlier this week.

Sounds like a quick turnaround to us – but some investigation on social media also reveals that David was one of the few invited to a low-key lunch at London's Rules Restaurant for Kelly's 35th birthday at the weekend.

Although Kelly was careful not to post any snaps including David, her best pal Michael Evans did share this snap from the celebrations:

During their acrimonious split, Kelly and David had a number of heated exchanges over Twitter, but it's apparently all behind them now. "I was hurting man. I didn't even know. I said a lot of things that I didn't actually mean," said David to The Sun.

Hopefully they have worked things out for good this time!

When it comes to relatable TV shows, there are not many that give a realistic view of life for a twenty-something.

One that succeeds though, is HBO’s Girls. If you’re a fan of the show, you’ll know that as well as hitting the nail on the head about money troubles, career uncertainty and toxic friendships, Lena Dunham also makes one fact VERY clear: Relationships are not easy at this stage of our lives. They are messy. Things never go as planned. There will be ups and downs – probably more downs.

Forget The Notebook any of that Nicholas Sparks mushy stuff – life just isn’t like that, though it makes for a great movie. If you want to survive your twenties, it’s important to remember that these are the years when you should come first. That’s not to say you should pursue life as a hermit (unless you want to, then by all means go ahead), but simply that you should be the most important person right now.

Many of us only have our first serious relationships at this stage of our lives and it’s easy to get lost in the whirlwind of it all. You’ve never felt so happy, or so complete – why would you give that up? Don’t forget though – relationships are all about compromise. There will come a stage when one of you has to make some sort of sacrifice for the other’s happiness. If you’re the one making all of those sacrifices and putting in all the effort, that’s an alarm bell.

Being selfish might not seem like the nicest characteristic, but sometimes it’s necessary to protect yourself. Spending all of your time and energy focusing on someone else means that you’re neglecting your own personal growth. Much as it’s important to be committed in a relationship, there has to be a sense of independence for you both as well. Only by knowing that can you forge a healthy path together.

Whatever happens in love at this stage of your life, don’t forget that you CAN make mistakes. In fact, it’s pretty much expected that you’ll make a lot of bad decisions in your twenties, and hopefully a few good ones too. Like everything else that happens as you grow into your adulthood, love is a learning curve and it might not go as you expected. So throw away that Five Year Plan and embrace this period of uncertainty.

A relationship that ends badly is never easy, but if it means that you come away knowing exactly what your fundamental needs are from a partner, that’s a huge positive. Maybe you need someone who understands every bit of you. Maybe you need someone who you can rely on to be there for you, or just to show up at all.

Whatever it is that you want from a relationship, let these be the years that you figure it all out.

News of Vicky Pattison's split from boyfriend James Morgan emerged only a week ago, but she's already bagged herself someone new. Or someone old, as the case may be.

The former Geordie Shore star was pictured out and about in Australia, holding hands with her ex, rugby league player Daniel Conn.

The pair had a fling last year while Vicky was filming Down Under for a special series of the reality show. Daniel was hired as Vicky's personal trainer, and the two soon hit it off.

Although the romance was short-lived, Daniel tried his best to win Vicky back earlier this year as part of an MTV reality show called Ex On The Beach. Whether he was doing it for an extra few quid or for romantic reasons, the ploy seems to have worked as the pair looked pretty cosy in the pictures, taken earlier this week.

Despite originally indicating that she had quit Geordie Shore to focus on her relationship with James, the star later admitted that the choice had been more to do with her career than her love life. "This is a pivotal point in my career and if I don’t strike while the iron’s hot, someone else will leave Geordie Shore or TOWIE and take my opportunities," she told Now Magazine.

We hope she's not working too hard though – this tweet posted earlier today seems a little worrying:

Daniel better have run right over to cheer her up!

Intermission, starring Colin Farrell and Cillian Murphy, was released over ten years ago now, but still remains a firm Irish favourite.

The film which spawned a whole host of weird and wonderful sayings has always flown slightly under the radar, but those that have seen it recognise it for the wonder that it truly is.

Edgy, vulgar, uproariously funny, and most of all, quintessentially Irish; this is one of those time and again flicks. And most importantly? It taught us so, so much.

The Lessons

If John hadn’t shared his culinary wisdom with Lehiff and had him sample a little sauce-flavoured tea, we’d still be saying ‘That’s delicious’ instead of ‘Dat’s delish, man.’

Doesn’t bear thinking about.

If Lehiff hadn’t opened up about his love of the wok, we’d still only be using our mam’s frying pans.

How embarrassing.

If Sally hadn’t been dumped by her boyfriend and neglected her appearance, we might never have learned the word ‘ronnie’.

How dumb would we look?

If John and Oscar hadn’t tried to cheat the system and clock back into work early, we would never have known what TCB meant.

We’re forever in your debt, Mr. Henderson.

If John hadn’t dumped Deirdre in a bid to find out her real feelings, we’d still be in the dark about the origin of the word ‘blagard’.

Then where would we be?

If Lehiff hadn't scorned Detective Jerry Lynch's taste in music, we'd have never learned whether we had the requisite Celtic soul or not.

Could you have slept? We couldn't.

If Noeleen hadn't asked for gift vouchers in a department store, we might never have known that this alone is a mortal sin.

We were so clueless.

Thank you, Intermission. You have truly nourished us.

While hangovers may be the worst thing ever, it is quite nice having a day dedicated to eating as much greasy, fried, cheesy food as you possibly can.

Here are some favourite hangover foods we love in Ireland:

1. Tayto sandwiches
With real butter ONLY and Brennan's bread…heaven. Or you may be a King's person, which is totally fine too…no judgment.

2. Tea
It may as well be a food group, let's be honest. When we're hungover there is never a cup of tea far from us.

3. Hot chicken roll
Whether you like it plain, with ketchup, or even with cheese and coleslaw, hot chicken rolls will cure any headache.

4. Jambons
On any non-hungover day we will look at these and say to ourselves, 'Who eats those?!' Then we walk in after a big night out and they suddenly look mighty attractive.

5. Koka noodles
Boil the kettle, sprinkle, pour – perfection. #KanyeShrug

6. Big dirty fry
Pudding (both colours), eggs, brown bread, rashers, sausages, hash browns, fried tomatoes and pieces of triangular toast. Thanks mom.

7. Club Orange and/or Lucozade
All of the fizz makes the day less hard.

8. Cheesy beans on toast
It's fascinating how melted cheese can transform beans on toast.

9. Cheese chips
That bright orange cheese sauce poured over chips…yum.

10. 3-in-1
Chips, curry sauce AND rice?! We all remember our first 3-in-1.

Ronan Keating enjoyed the opening night of his new West End show, Once, this week and has found a way to remember his Boyzone bandmate Stephen Gately, who passed away in 2009.

The Boyzone star told reporters at the show that he would be wearing red socks for the entire run of the show as a tribute to his old friend: “Red was his favourite colour so that’s my little tipping of the cap to Stephen. I wish he was here.”

Ronan remembered how Stephen loved doing shows: “I never thought I’d do a musical; that was Stevo’s gig. That was his thing and he was amazing at it.”

The Irish pop star's fellow bandmates, Mikey, Shane and Keith showed up at the debut of the West End musical to show their support for Ronan.

What a beautiful tribute Ronan has given his old bandmate and best friend.
