Let It Shine viewers were left fuming over the weekend after the BBC One programme omitted particular lines of a Lady Gaga track which Iron Sun performed on Saturday night.

Taking to the stage with Born This Way, the band left the audience at home reeling when they paused mid-track, and ultimately left out lyrics pertaining to be gay and transgender.

"Don't be a drag, just be a queen" and "No matter gay, straight, or bi, lesbian, transgendered life. I’m on the right track baby. I was born to survive” did not make it to the live performance, and Twitter was far from happy.

"@BBC how dare you butcher #BornThisWay on #letitshine, removing the lyrics from the song that give it its meaning and power. SHAME ON YOU!" wrote one furious Twitter user.

"#letitshine how can you sing born this way without mentioning anything about equality and diversity ??? It's the point of the song," added another.

Responding to criticism, a spokesperson for the BBC show insisted that the nature of the lyrics were inconsequential, saying: "All songs featured on the show were cut for time only."

The Super Bowl half time show is a massive gig, and this year Lady Gaga took the reigns and entertained a crowd of 111.3 million people watching online, at home and in the stadium.

The singer put on a spectacular 12 minute performance, with pyrotechnics, synchronised dance troops and, of course, costume changes.

Since the Super Bowl aired, Twitter and Instagram has been buzzing with comments about one of Lady G's outfits in particular.

The singer rocked a pair of sparkly hot pants and a white structured crop top during an epic rendition of Bad Romance, which showcased her athletic physique.

Rather than focusing on her killer performance, online body shamers were focusing on something entirely different.

Twitter users took to the social media platform to slander and ridicule the star for having a tiny layer of fat on her stomach.

Users slated the star for daring to show a stomach which they felt was less than perfect, and ever suggested that the star should have done more crunches to tackle her "flabby belly" ahead of the performance.

Thankfully the avalanche of hate was drowned out by the out cry of Gaga fans and body positive people.

"Yall are talking about Lady Gaga's 'gut' & that is the reason women have eating disorders & never f****** feel like they're good enough," commented one user.

Lady Gaga jumped off the ROOF of the Super Bowl stadium and all people can talk about is her 'gut?' tweeted another.

Mother Monster is being praised online for showing a normal and "real" body type, and by anyones standards Gaga has a healthy, toned and athletic body.

Those trolls have got some major issues if they think Lady Gaga is overweight.

This week, Lady Gaga wrote an open letter about her history with PTSD.

Then, Piers Morgan, as usual, supplied his Twitter feed with commentary on PTSD, saying that he believes it's only for the likes of war veterans.

This obviously didn't sit right with Gaga, and she tweeted Piers, saying that she has worked with many people on the issue, one being Joe Biden, and is thoroughly educated with it.

Piers believes that it has become the latest "celebrity accessory," and these celebs don't have anything concrete to back up their claims.

Gaga then said that if anyone in Piers' family suffers from PTSD, she prays for them.

And now, the debate is on.

Lady Gaga just rocked an epic performance at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show and her latest album is dominating the charts, but the singer just revealed that she struggles daily with a serious mental health issue.

The pop star wrote an open letter to her fans about her issues with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder on her Born This Way Foundation website.

"There is a lot of shame attached to mental illness, but it’s important that you know that there is hope and a chance for recovery."

"It is a daily effort for me to regulate my nervous system so that I don’t panic over circumstances that to many would seem like normal life situations," wrote the star.

Lady Gaga reflected on an incident during her Born This Way Ball tour where she became injured after pushing herself during the performances, and credits the mental and physical trauma of the incident to her disorder.

"I was overworked and not taken seriously when I shared my pain and concern that something was wrong. I ultimately ended up injured on the Born This Way Ball."

"That moment and the memory of it has changed my life forever.  The experience of performing night after night in mental and physical pain ingrained in me a trauma that I relive when I see or hear things that remind me of those days," she wrote.

The final words of the open letter were contributed by her psychologist, who encouraged anyone suffering from mental illness to seek the help they need:

"No one’s invisible pain should go unnoticed."

Earlier this week, Kanye West was hospitalised for exhaustion and sleep deprivation after he began “acting erratically” while visiting his trainer’s home.

While numerous celebrities have come forward in support of the rapper, few have surmised the situation as effectively as Lady Gaga.

In a series of tweets released from her official Twitter account yesterday, the Paparazzi singer praised the controversial star for his “bravery and courage” and asked the public to refrain from mocking the father of two over his mental health concerns.

“It’s not funny to joke about anyone’s possible or not possible mental illness,” she began.  “This is a sensitive time for many.  Let’s be kind and loving.”

“While I don’t agree with everything he does I hope the public shows compassion and [love] for @kanyewest and each other.  One love.  One race.”

The 30-year-old concluded her statement by writing: “@kanyewest I support and love u brother, I see in you bravery and courage to stop this tour and take care of YOU.  You are a GREAT artist (sic).”

Yesterday, John Legend admitted that he was with Kanye’s wife, Kim Kardashian, shortly before the Famous creator was hospitalised.

“I was concerned by what I saw,” he said.  “So hopefully he’s getting some rest and some time to figure things out.”

She’s gone glitter cowgirl, netted one piece and who could forget that infamous meat dress?

But in recent month’s Lady Gaga’s style could be described as verging on ordinary.

Thankfully the star has now corrected that impression by stepping out in a bizarre tulle ensemble in a unique show of support for US presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

Each of the four images she uploaded is branded with an election focused caption.  These include “In times of stress I like to be fashionable #Election2016 #GoVote #ImWithHer” and “Let’s go you modern suffragettes, go put on your hats and #GoVote ‘Corsets Off’”.

When a show runs for as long as Friends did, it is inevitable viewers will begin wondering just how close the cast of actors and actresses truly were.

And while Sex and the City was plagued with rumours of cat fights and cold shoulders, most Friends fans focussed on the possible relationships which COULD have been blossoming behind the scenes.

Did Matthew Perry and Courteney Cox ever get it on in the early days? Did David Schwimmer and Jennifer ever toy with the idea of a real-life Ross and Rachel? And so on, and so forth.

Well, one woman who was more than happy to take the bull by the horns and address the idea head-on was given a platform to do so on The Late Late Show this week.

After appearing alongside James Corden in Carpool Karaoke, Lady Gaga laid one fairly cheeky question on fellow guest, Matt Le Blanc, who handled it like a PRO.

Fair play for trying, Gaga.

We're going to be honest here – when it came to Lady Gaga's Carpool Karaoke, we thought the New Yorker could go one of two ways.

She'd either do a Britney on the whole thing and fail to engage or she'd go hell for leather and blow us all out of the water, and thankfully for everyone it was most definitely the latter.

From giving it absolute socks to Bad Romance and re-enacting the phone call which nabbed her the Superbowl Half-Time Show to revealing she recently got her driving licence, it looks like Lady Gaga seemed pretty chill kicking it with James.

So chill, in fact, she even took control of the wheel for a while…

To celebrate the release of her fifth studio album, Lady Gaga has added a very special piece of ink to her ever expanding tattoo collection.

Yesterday, the Perfect Illusion singer took to Instagram to unveil the meaningful tattoo which is dedicated to the woman who inspired her new music collection, her late aunt Joanne who died of Lupus-related complications aged 19.

Across two posts, the 30-year-old star explained how the piece of body art is a direct reflection of Joanne’s signature and revealed that her father now has a matching tattoo.

“Got Joanne tattooed on my arm in her actual signature,” she wrote.  “My dad got one too.  With an angel on his shoulder.”

In an interview with Howard Stern this week, Gaga explained how Joanne’s death impacted her life and that of her father.

“She’s like this goddess that we worshipped in our family our whole lives,” she said.  “Her picture was always up, and it was framed so beautifully in the house.  We talked about her all the time, every family meal… she was like a guardian angel or spirit guide.”

“I never understood why my father drank so much and why he was so angry and why he was so overprotective and why his eyes would just blister out of control when I showed a sign of independence or wanting to leave the house or be on my own,” she confessed.

“And I always thought it was my fault.  So this album for me was about healing the wounds of being a young woman growing up in a tough family and figuring that out.”
