Opening up about being sexually assaulted takes an overwhelming amount of strength. Thousands of women have come forward and shared their own stories since the wake of the #MeToo movement. Their courage is admirable and their experiences are harrowing, but most notably, they’re real.

Influential actresses and singers have shared their stories of sexual assault, including Lady Gaga.

Regardless of their success and status, these women are just like us. They’ve been through a traumatising ordeal and no amount of fame or money makes it any easier, something we all need to remember.

At the mere age of 19, Gaga was raped by a music producer. The Born This Way singer may have been one of the biggest names to come forward in the #MeToo narrative, but she is also a victim who continues to be affected by that assault every day.

She told Teen Vogue: “I feel stunned. Or stunted. You know that feeling when you’re on a roller coaster and you’re just about to go down the really steep slope?”

“That fear and the drop in your stomach? My diaphragm seizes up. Then I have a hard time breathing, and my whole body goes into a spasm. And I begin to cry. That’s what it feels like for trauma victims every day, and it’s miserable,” the A Star Is Born actress shared.

“I always say that trauma has a brain. And it works its way into everything that you do.”

She continued to explain that sharing her story was her own personal choice, but it is different for every victim: “I feel like I’ve been an advocate but also a shocked audience member, watching #MeToo happen.”

Gaga explained that speaking out about being raped was like facing a monster: “It took years. No one else knew. It was almost like I tried to erase it from my brain. And when it finally came out, it was like a big, ugly monster. And you have to face the monster to heal.”

It is important for us to remember that the celebrities who come forward and share their personal experiences are human too.

They may be Oscar winners or Grammy nominees, but we need to remember, more than anything, they are victims and the courage it took for them to publicly open up makes them fearless heroes.

Two of the music industry's biggest voices could be teaming up for an unforgettable duet.

Lady Gaga and Celine Dion may be at different points in their careers, but that hasn't stopped Celine from expressing her desire to team up with the Born This Way singer when she begins her Las Vegas residency later this year.

Speaking during CNN's New Year's Eve Live, the 49-year-old singer admitted she was a huge Gaga fan and her response when asked if she would ever consider duetting with her was a definite yes.

“Oh don’t get me started now. I would love that. I love her so much. I can’t wait. Come on, Lady Gaga, we’re waiting for you!”

With a current residency at Las Vegas's Caesars Palace hotel and a wealth of experience in the city that never sleeps, you'd expect the My Heart Will Go On hitmaker to be full of helpful tips for Gaga's latest career move.

However, Celine doesn't believe she has any advice to offer, saying that the star already knows what she's doing.

“Do I have advice for Lady Gaga? No! First of all, this girl knows exactly what she’s doing. She knows what to do. And I will never, ever, ever, in my whole life tell somebody professional, super talented like she is how to do things. I’m going to go see her show. When is she starting?”

Speaking about her upcoming Las Vegas shows, Lady Gaga revealed it was “a life-long dream,” adding that she was “humbled to be a part of a historical line-up of performers, and to have the honour of creating a new show unlike anything Vegas has ever seen before.”

We would give anything to see these two fierce females join forces!

It's official!

Lady Gaga last night confirmed details of a two-year-long Las Vegas residency at MGM's 5,300-seat Park Theatre.

Following in the footsteps of fellow artists Britney Spears, Elton John and Shania Twain, the Born This Way singer has vowed to leave her “heart on the stage every single night”.

The residency is scheduled to begin in December 2018 and Gaga can hardly contain her excitement.

"It has been a life-long dream of mine to play Las Vegas," she said in a statement announcing the shows.

"It's the land of Elvis, Tony Bennett and Frank Sinatra, the Rat Pack, Elton John, Judy Garland and Liza Minnelli."

"I am humbled to be a part of a historical lineup of performers, and to have the honour of creating a new show unlike anything Vegas has ever seen before."

According to Variety, the star looks set to earn over $75m during the 74-day residency.

The 31-one-year has spent most of 2017 touring her latest album, Joanne, though she had to postpone some dates after experiencing "severe physical pain" arising from the medical condition fibromyalgia.

As a celeb, you know you have officially made it big when people are immortalising your likeness in wax.

Lady Gaga clearly reached a meteoric level of fame a number of years ago, and so homage has been paid to her look by a museum in Peru.

However, the art work is less than flattering, and Twitter is raucous after seeing the model.

Two snaps of the slightly scary wax work were posted online by Twitter user @tobeymonster.

Twitter fans have likened the model to Donatella Versace among other characters.

They have also criticised the look of Gaga's wig, along with her muscular physique.

The tweet is currently going viral, with thousands of likes and retweets.

A few years back, Amy Huberman sent the Irish public into an absolute tailspin when she revealed that the outfit she rocked during Oscar week was something we could all actually get our hands on.

It turned out that the sleek white jumpsuit, which caused a serious stir on the red carpet, was an SS16 offering from Lennon Courtney, and it was stocked exclusively at Dunnes Stores.

From Brendan Courtney and Sonya Lennon to Paul Costello, there's no doubt that the Irish retailer has a knack for choosing to collaborate with designers who pique the interest of the stars, and they've done it again with Joanne Hynes.

Joanne's newest collection, which launched in Dunnes Stores last month, was highly-anticipated following the success of last year's collection, and now one of the music industry's most iconic stars is proudly showcasing one of Joanne's creations.

Earlier today,  Lady Gaga took to Instagram to give fans an insight into her latest look with three separate uploads, all of which included a Joanne Hynes headband.

"Juan Vidal. Fashuns in the studio. #ladygaga #fashion #juanvidal and some very exciting accessories. Headband by @joannehynes," she captioned the post which has amassed almost 130,000 likes since its upload.

And it seems it's not just us who have a real grá for Joanne's stunning creation, with one follower writing: "Love that headband on you!"

We're with them on that one.

Lady Gaga, who has been an outspoken supporter of fellow artist, Kesha, throughout her legal battle with music producer Dr Luke has found herself embroiled further still after being issued with a subpoena by the producer's legal team.

In 2014, Kesha sued Dr Luke for alleged sexual assault and battery, sexual harassment, gender violence, emotional abuse, and violation of California business practices which had occurred over 10 years working together.

In 2016, judge Shirley Kornreich rejected all of Kesha's claims against Dr Luke in a move which only intensified support for the 30-year-old singer.

However, according to Dr Luke's legal team, Lady Gaga's support for the Tik Tok singer is akin to a 'smear campaign', and the American Horror Story star is now being required to give evidence in the producer's defamation case against Kesha.

"Dr. Luke's counsel served a subpoena on Lady Gaga because she has relevant information regarding, among other things, false statements about Dr. Luke made to her by Kesha," attorneys for Dr Luke explained in a recent statement.

"This motion has become necessary because Dr. Luke's counsel has not been able to obtain, despite repeated request, a deposition date from Lady Gaga."

Responding to the subpoena, Lady Gaga's legal team insists their client is a mere pawn in Dr Luke's attempt to manipulate the truth.

"As Lady Gaga's legal team will present to the court, she has provided all of the relevant information in her possession and is at most an ancillary witness in this process," representatives for the Grammy Award winner said.

"Dr. Luke's team is attempting to manipulate the truth and draw press attention to their case by exaggerating Lady Gaga's role and falsely accusing her of dodging reasonable requests."

According to reports, Lady Gaga may not be the only high-profile name required to take part in depositions, with Dr Luke's legal team confirming as much.

"In connection with Dr. Luke’s defamation claims against Kesha, various third parties are being deposed by both sides, including celebrities," Dr Luke's team confirmed.

We all love a good Starbucks collab, and this one pairs one of our favourite celebrities with our need for caffeine.

Lady Gaga has partnered up with Starbucks to create set of vibrant, fruity drinks to raise money for the singer’s foundation.

According to Starbucks, 25 cent from every purchase will be donated to Gaga’s Born This Way charity.

Funds raised will go toward programmes that support youth wellness and empowerment by fostering kindness, improving mental health resources, and creating more positive environments.

'We’re healthier and happier when we live our lives with compassion and our communities are stronger when we treat one another with generosity and respect,' said Lady Gaga.

'Born This Way Foundation and I are so excited to partner with Starbucks to help inspire positivity and love through the Cups of Kindness collection.'

Unfortunately, Gaga's collab is Stateside only, which is a pity because we're loving the sound of the new drinks.

There's the Violet Drink. which blends blackberries and hibiscus with coconut milk and ice, and a new Matcha Lemonade which combines matcha green tea with lemonade.

These new Gaga-esque beverages will be served alongside menu classics like the Pink Drink and the Ombre Drink in the charitable line-up.

The term "breaking the internet" gets thrown around a lot these days, but that's definitely what happened when Beyoncé posted a surprise snap of her baby bump on Instagram last month.

After the shock had worn off, Coachella attendees began to question if Beyoncé would be able to honour her commitment to headline the festival this coming summer.

Unfortunately, on the advice of doctors, Bey had to pull out, but now another superstar performer is taking her place.

Lady Gaga took to Twitter to announce that she will be taking Queen B's place as the Saturday headliner.

In a tweet of the brand-new running order, the Born This Way singer invited festival-goers to "party in the desert" with her.

Fans seem to approve of the new announcement, with thousands of positive tweets following Gaga's post.
