Cara Delevingne has been extremely busy lately. Along with promoting Suicide Squad, the actress has also made a comeback to modelling, and recently shot for Vogue.

However, Cara has revealed that she needed some time off from the world of social media, and took two weeks out, which she encourages everyone to do.

The blonde beauty shared a snap of her climbing out of a pool, wearing a simple black bikini and looking totally relaxed.

She captioned the photo: "My Instagram holiday is over… I was taking some much needed time away from my phone which I advise everyone to do at some point.

"Hope you are all enjoying your holidays," she added.

Minutes later, she shared a clip of her new movie Kids in Love:

Look, we'd be the first to admit that when it comes to height, the only one type were interested in is heel.

In our headier more adventurous moments on holiday, we might have momentarily toyed with the idea of bungee-jumping or sky-diving, but then we had a word with ourselves before grabbing a drink and sitting those options out.

And this is why we're struggling to look at Angela Nikolau's Instagram account without biting down on closed fists and muffling a strangled wail.

The Moscow-based adventurer has devoted much of her Instagram account to documenting her most adventurous moments from around the world… and they are not for the faint-hearted.

From dangling off skyscrapers to taking selfies at dizzying heights, Angela's escapades have attracted almost a quarter of a million followers online.

And we're going to be honest here, we feel a bout of vertigo coming on.

Excuse us, while we lie down.

Let's face it, none of us live the life we purport to lead on social media.

For every one evening spent quaffing cocktails with the girls, there's 20 spent examining your split ends on the couch, right?

Acknowledging that we all do it, RIOT – the comedy section of Refinery29 – have released a video which examines our need to constantly filter our lives into something Insta-worthy, and frankly it's all of us.

Making Your Life Look Less Empty With Instagram Filters reminds us that filtering our lives to clock up the likes is an international pastime, and we're all out of control.

How guilty are you?!

When it comes to photoshopping, there very much exists an 'us versus them' attitude.

With both the modelling industry and many high-profile individuals quick to deny the extent to which they photoshop their photos, we mere mortals are often left feeling a mixture of cynicism and betrayal.

And while we're all too aware that photoshop is as vital an element as the model herself, many of us still aspire to attain the 'perfection' created after the final shot was snapped.

Pulling down the barrier which exists between us and them, model, Iskra Lawrence, decided to share an image of herself  before and after spending ten minutes photoshopping herself.

"Shocking it only took me about 10 minutes to photoshop myself to "perfection". But WTF is perfect?" wrote the 25-year-old.

"We weren't born thinking flaws made you less beautiful we are taught by society and the media that we should feel insecure about our flaws so we buy into certain products etc to "improve" or attain perfection."

"I wanted to post the unretouched pic right next to the retouched one so you could see the impact of how a few edits all done on my phone can completely change the way someone looks," Iskra explained.

Perplexed by the idea she would want to mislead her Instagram followers, she added: "I can't leave home everyday retouched & live in the "real world" airbrushed so why would I want to pretend to be online?"

In the post which has racked up almost 140,000 likes since its recent upload, Iskra finished by writing: "What's real is you and you are good enough cus those "flaws" make you completely unique." (sic)

And the best part? Most Instagram users thought Iskra looked better in the before snap.

It looks like Selena Gomez might have a few regrets since going after her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber yesterday.

After JB lashed out on Instagram, telling his fans he'll make his account private (he actually deleted it this morning), Selena jumped in to defend, saying he shouldn't make his fans mad because "they love you and support you before anyone ever did."

Well, it appears she has regrets about saying anything at all as she took to Snapchat last night to post this:

Will they ever make up?

After all the controversy yesterday with Sofia, Selena and Hailey, it looks like Justin has had enough.

In news surfacing this morning, Justin Bieber has DELETED his Instagram account.

As hundreds of snaked emojis were posted on to a snap he shared of him and Sofia, does this mean he's sticking up for his new GF and sticking to his word?

"I'm gonna make my Instagram private if you guys don't stop the hate. This is getting out of hand, if you guys are really fans you wouldn't be so mean to people that I like," he protested.

It looks like he had no other choice.

He has barely been able to contain his excitement since welcoming his fifth child last weekend, and after a week at home with the family, Jamie Oliver couldn’t resist the urge to share his gratitude with the world.

The celebrity chef ‘hijacked’ wife Jools’ Instagram account this weekend to pay the most beautiful tribute to her (and devoted mums everywhere!).

Posting a photo of an exhausted Jools catching 40 winks alongside their newborn son, Jamie heaped on the praise for his wife of 16 years.

“I can’t tell you what a wicked mum this chick is… Big love to all the mums out there, it’s a hard graft, amazing,” he gushed.

The Naked Chef added, playfully: “Happy weekend, people; and when Jools finds out I hacked her account, all I can say is, I love you.”

As you can imagine, the couple’s followers adored the proud father’s romantic sentiments.

One fan responded: “Beautiful words from you, Jamie, and your two precious bundles look peaceful.”

As touched as Jools’ 358K-strong following was, however, they let it be known that they’re growing impatient with the secrecy surrounding Baby’s name!

We all know there's no love lost between Zayn Malik and Azalea Banks.

But after tearing into the Pillowtalk singer earlier this year, the 212 rapper was faced with considerable criticism and even found herself dropped from festival line-ups as a result of her racist and homophobic slurs.

And, unfortunately, it doesn't look like the singer has learned her lesson if her recent remarks are anything to go by.

Commenting on Zayn's highly-anticipated spread for GQ, the 25-year-old New Yorker cast aspersions on Gigi's bae.

"He legit looks like he used to be a girl," she wrote of the 23-year-old's recent photoshoot. "He gives me transman teas."

The comments have come as a surprise to Instagram users who were quick to remind Azalea she had recently professed to having turned over a new leaf.

"The amount of people that get hurt when I use the word vs. the amount of people I’ve said it to are just not worth it,” she wrote at the time. “This isn’t a cop out, its just me realizing that words hurt."

By the looks of things, Azalea's back to her usual tricks.

Tom Hiddleston and Swifty fans alike were delighted this week when Tom joined Instagram.

But no one was more delighted the Robert Downey Jr. He played a little joke on his Marvel co-star that we're sure he's been waiting ages to do.

Mocking Tom's 'I <3 TS' top, Rob shared the picture and said: “Join me in welcoming the biggest T. Stark fan of them all to Instagram! @twhiddleston.”

LOLZ.

But now, Tom has had his say on the whole thing.

"Robert and I are very close and I got to know him working on the Avengers in 2011," he told the LA Times.

"There's a lot of mutual affection. I feel like it's an expression of mutual admiration. It's great. He's very sweet."

Tom added: "And within the Marvel universe there's a lot of that going on – a lot of throwing paper aeroplanes."

However, Robert took his love even further yesterday. Just look:

(Tom's first IG photo was of him dressed as Loki).

These lads the bomb.

Instagram is one of the world’s favourite social media outlets but between cropping, filtering and captioning images creating picture perfect posts can be pretty time consuming.

Because of the aesthetic nature of the app, a lot of crafting can go into constructing shareable content so we’re excited to learn that Instagram is now considering adding a ‘save draft’ option to its platform.

Currently, pressing the back button simply deletes whatever edits you’ve been developing which can be pretty annoying if you need to run when your post is almost but not quite finished.

But – according to Mashable – the much loved photo sharing app is now testing a feature which would allow users to save photos that have been worked on mid-edit so that they can be finished and posted at a later time.

While Instagram’s new Story feature has received a mixed reaction as people try to figure out if it will take down their beloved Snapchat, we think a save drafts option would be widely welcomed.

With more than 54 million Instagram followers, it would be fairly impossible for Khloé Kardashian to keep everyone happy, but it looks like her latest upload has managed to enrage more than a few people this time around.

Taking to social medis to share a snap of herself sporting a head of Bantu knots, the reality star has come under fire and been widely accused of cultural appropriation.

After uploading a photo of herself with the caption 'Bantu Babe', the 32-year-old deleted it before replacing with with another entitled 'I like this one better'.

But by the looks of things, her followers certainly didn't, and wasted no time calling the star out on her choice of hairstyle.

"Such a trifling mess. My soul hurts," wrote one Instagram user beneath the snap while another added: "Jesus lawd. This sh*t? AGAIN BRUH?!"

"You don't stand up for black lives, but you love to take black culture," opined another while a fellow follower insisted: "If your using my culture as a trend your part of the problem." (sic)

However, with the photo having been liked almost half a million times in 12 hours, it's clear that not everyone is offended by the star's decision to attempt the style.

"Take some the criticism with a pinch of salt, some people just can't help being dumb! You look great," encouraged one of Khloé's fans.

Something tells us that despite the criticism Khloé won't be removing the photo (or the knots).

Tom Hiddleston has joined Instagram – and it didn't make anymore more happy than Robert Downey Jr.

Robert took this as a chance to take the piss out of Tom and his infamous "I <3 T.S." t-shirt.

It was a small and sly, but great T.S. joke.

However, the joke made thousands of people flock to Tom's new page, and even though only one picture is uploaded, he's already gained more than 500,000 followers.
