Matthew Lewis, who played Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter movies, has gotten married.

He wed his American girlfriend (a muggle), Angela Jones.

The couple got hitched in Portofino.

Family and friends enjoyed a lavish Italian ceremony.

Taking to Twitter, the Harry Potter actor humorously announced the happy news.

The pair looked stunning in the photograph, which was captioned:

"Not only did I miss the Arctic Monkeys in LA but they were performing in Italy at the same time we were there and my wife made me get married instead. Fuming."

A post shared by Matthew Lewis (@mattdavelewis) on

Never to escape his former role, his fans were quick to send warm wishes on both Instagram and Twitter.

"We are so proud of you Neville! 100 points for GRYFFINDOR," said an Instagram user.

The Harry Potter theme continued with fans joking that Neville finally got to marry his on-screen crush, Luna Lovegood.

Another referenced his character's love of herbology in the films.

The couple has two fur babies together.

Congratulations to the happy couple!

Not a day goes by where I don't thank God above for the wonderful people at Penneys.

And today, I am extra grateful!

Why? Well, because there are loads of shiny new Harry Potter goodies available in Penneys at the moment!

There are magical handbags and backpacks, one clutch bag even resembles the maurauders map – I solemnly swear!

Then there is the ADORABLE brown satchel with HP related patches all over it (it would actually make a very cool school bag, oh to be young again).

Then there's the amazing pyjama sets – we're not able.

We have shorts and groovy tshirts, but also wizard long johns that look super comfortable.

You can pair your gorge new PJs with Harry Potter inspired SLIPPERS, that are super cute, and look very fluffy.

Then there's the actual day-to-day clothing, such as super cute crop tops and string tops.

Perfect for the summer months – especially if the son decides to make an appearance.

There are loads more magical goodies, like snow globes (yes, in May), candles, keyrings and even umbrellas.

Any Harry Potter fan worth their weight in chocolate frogs will know that today, May 2, marks the anniversary of the Battle of Hogwarts.

The climatic war between good and evil, which played out in the final book Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, was responsible for the deaths of some of the series' best-loved characters.

Every year, JK Rowling honours those fallen soldiers by apologising for their brutal and untimely deaths – and this year is no different.

Tweeting this morning, the author paid tribute to the one and only, Dobby the house elf.

“This year, I apologise for killing someone who didn’t die during the #BattleofHogwarts, but who laid down his life to save the people who’d win it," she wrote.

“I refer, of course, to Dobby the house elf.”

For those od you who don't remember, Dobby suffered a knife wound at the hands of Bellatrix Lestrange while trying to save Harry and his friends from the Death Eaters.

A true hero. In life and in death.

Rowling has previously apologised for the deaths of Severus Snape, Fred Weasley and Remus Lupin.

Harry Potter is involved in all of our most beloved childhood memories, from queuing up at midnight to get a copy of the latest book, to staying up late with a flashlight under the covers trying to finish a particularly riveting chapter.

The books brought joy and magic to so many people, that even twenty years after the first book came out, the wizarding world still captures the imaginations of children and adults alike.

Here are a few of our favourite magical Harry Potter podcasts to get your Fizzing Whizzbee fix:

5. MuggleCast

MuggleCast has been podcasting about the Harry Potter series since 2005, so these witches and warlocks know what they're talking about.

The cast chat about the latest Harry Potter, Cursed Child, and Fantastic Beasts news and theories, and discuss everything about the fandom.

4. The Weird Sisters

The Weird Sisters is run by (yep, you guessed it) two sisters, who have loved Harry Potter since the day the first book was released.

Their love for HP is clear in the podcasts, which brings the long-distance sisters together every week to discuss their favourite topic.

3. Yer A Wizard Harry: The Harry Potter Bookclub

The trio who run this podcast discuss the different events in Harry Potter, and compare them to modern event.

It's all about what we can learn from the texts, while enjoying the podcasters commentary.

2. Witch Please

Witch Please is a fortnightly podcast discussing various elements of the Harry Potter world.

The un-scripted nature of this female creation is what makes it so magical.

1. Harry Potter and the Sacred Text

"Just as Christians read the Bible, Jews the Torah and Muslims read the Quran, we are embarking on a 199-episode journey (one chapter an episode, to be released weekly) to glean what wisdom and meaning we can make from J.K. Rowling’s beloved novels," reads this unique podcasts bio.

Each week, a chapter of the book is read through the lens of a particular theme, from friendship to envy, making it a very interesting listening experience.

So, you may have noticed that the ladies here at SHEmazing HQ have a sliiight obsession with all things Harry Potter.

From Potter-themed hotels to Sorting Hat candles, we're running out of ways to prove our love for the magical series – well, almost.

Introducing Harry Potter hair!

Inspired by the colours of the house of Gryffindor, the magical look is was first created by hairstylist Crystal Casey created using a balayage technique with hues of orange, yellow, red and purple.

Speaking to Allure about how she created the spellbinding hairstyle, she explained: "The colour itself was inspired by Gryffindor from the Harry Potter movies, with my own twist, of course."

And the best part is that the HP hairdo suits all skin tones, as Crystal explains: "Since a lot of the natural brown base is left untouched, just about any skin tone can wear it."

And for those of you who were sorted into a different house (hey, hey fellow Slytherins), a whole host of Howarts-themed hair colours have been popping up online recently.

Just check out these whimsical styles created by Krystina Sporck.

Sorry, but being in Ravenclaw has never looked more appealing.

You’d be lying to yourself if you didn’t secretly (or openly) fancy The Weasley twins from Harry Potter.

Fred and George were two loveable rogues, who were always messing and causing trouble.

I was curious to know what they’d been up to since leaving Hogwarts, so I had a little stalk of them.

Well, needless to say, they look totally different.

My main issue with the fact that they are no longer ginger… that really hurt me.

Despite their new brown locks, James and Oliver Phelps look pretty damn well.

Thankfully, they have maintained their cheeky grins and those gorgeous brown eyes, but I will forever mourn their ginger hair-dos.

The twins are now 30, and are set to play Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee in the fantasy movie Jabberwocky Rise.

We are excited to see more from these two gorgeous brunettes!

If you are looking for the perfect getaway, then you have come to the right place.

There's a Harry Potter themed hotel in a Georgian House in London, and the kids will LOVE it.

The hotel rooms are not cheap, but you can't really put a price on pure happiness.

A family room (Wizard Chambers) costs £309 per night and a double room (Enchanted Chambers) costs £239 per night, but seriously, it will be worth

The hotel is in a 19th Century building with winding corridors, loads of stairs, and some secret passages and doors.

According to the hotel's website, the family room is "created to conjure a mysterious and gothic feel, each room features faux castle details such as stained glass windows, stone walls, archways, trunks, cauldrons, four-poster beds hung with velvet curtains and an abundance of other curious artefacts."

The description continues, with "wood burning stoves, cauldrons in fireplaces and tapestries complete the look."

We reckon this would be the BEST weekend away ever, and you'll even get a free (award-winning) breakfast.

This is NOT a drill ladies!

There is now a Harry Potter themed pasta restaurant in Brooklyn, New York and we can't cope.

Pasta Wiz is a wonderful destination, where all your carb-filled dreams will come true… with a big splash of Harry Potter on the side.

"We decided Pasta Wiz, it's like a wizard magical place, so we've made it Harry Potter-style. We decorated in a Harry Potter-style," the owner of the restaurant told The Gothamist.

The restaurant is fully kitted-out with chandeliers, banquet tables, and candles, and there's a few sorting hats lying around also.

So basically, you get Harry Potter, and a delicious bowl of fresh pasta…

Get ready for the most magical Easter yet because Harry Potter chocolate eggs are here to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Inspired by the world of witchcraft and wizardry, 'The Sorting Egg' was created by Slattery Patisser & Chocolatiers in North Manchester.

With it's gold painted lightning bolt and sugar paste Sorting Hat, the all-black egg wouldn't look out of place on the Hogwarts Express sweet trolley or even served in the Great Hall.

Oh and the wand? – Just a chocolate dripped pretzel, no biggie.

*drools*

But wait, that's not all.

Hidden inside the egg is a parchment scroll that will reveal which house you've been sorted into.

-Not Slytherin. Not Slytherin. Not Slytherin-

Unfortunately, the egg is only available by collection at the Slattery store in North Manchester, so unless you're planning a trip or know someone who lives close by, it's unlikely that you'll get your hands on one this side of Easter.

But hey, a girl can dream!

Another day, another delicious gin we simply NEED to taste (and photograph for those sweet Insta likes).

Anyway, the Internet's latest alcoholic sensation comes in the form of parma violet gin – inspired by our favourite sweets from back in the day.

That's right ladies, what was once a childhood treat, is now an excuse to get a buzz on.

Plus, it literally looks like a magic bloody potion – what's not to love?

The brilliant minds behind this tipple?  Zymurgorium Manchester, who created the 'Sweet Violet Gin Liqueur' with an ode to nostalgia.

The Drink Supermarket, where you can by the gin, described it as:

'Sweet violet heaven made for the gods? Well not exactly, but a wonderful liqueur nonetheless. Great replacement for violet based liqueurs as the role of 20 botanicals really do provide a unique taste. Enjoy any how you like.'

Need this  #parmaviolets #gin #violetgin

A post shared by Angie Elizabeth (@puggle_lover_x3) on

Still not convinced (weird, but okay) – we had a gawk at the Zymurgorium website to get more information, so keep reading.

'Sweet Violets supposedly were a gift from Zeus the king of the Greek pantheon as a comfort to Io for whom he loved but had to turn into a heifer to save her from Hera’s wrath' – every day is a school day, lads.

'Sweet Violets are a beautiful find and have a very unique sweet pastelly taste and a strong scent. As a drink it can be used exactly like Crème de Violette but as it has been refined with over 20 other botanicals contained in our Gin made in Manchester’s first Gin distillery; it is also equally as good on it’s own, with lemonade, mixed with ice cream or in baking!'

'Try making an Aviator cocktail with this much superior violet Manchester gin liqueur!'

A 500ml bottle of this magical elixer comes in at around 25 quid – tad expensive, but worth it!

Okay, we seriously need this drink… immediately!
