OK ladies, you're going to have to prepare yourselves for this one.

A farmer by the name of Tom Clair has been given hero status on social media after recently interviewing with RTÉ following the birth of four identical calves on his farm outside Ennistymon.

Unable to conceal his delight over the one in a billion odds, the farmer recalled the moment he realised he'd hit the big time.

"And there she was lying, with two of them standing in front of her. And whatever side of her I look, I see a third one lying by her side," he explained.

"So I went over and I pulled up the third one and put him together… and I’m looking down I thought I heard a little baaa coming from outside the yard and I walked out and there was the fourth one standing outside. I couldn’t take in what I was after seeing," said Tom.

And the best part? Tom is equally overjoyed for the rest of us as he is for himself.

"Look at myself so excited about them but the whole country is excited about them!" he gushed. "It’s lovely to see all the young lads that have come to see them”

And Facebook was only dying to join in Tom's joy.

"Ah such a happy and excited farmer, delighted for them all," wrote one user while another added: "Loved to hear the farmer talk, too! I can just imagine the excitement."

And if you need us, we'll be on our way to Co Clare to hug Mr Clair.

The Oscars are just around the corner, and we're already speculating on what Hollywood's elite will be wearing.

Meryl Streep has been nominated for her 20th Oscar this year, and so the battle to dress the star for the big event must have been bloody.

According to People, the actress opted for Chanel, but cancelled the couture order after receiving an offer of payment to wear another labels dress.

“I made a sketch, and we started to make the dress,” Lagerfeld told WWD.

He went on to say that after production began on the dress, he received a call from Meryl's team saying that the dress was no longer necessary as they had been offered payment from someone else for Meryl to wear a different gown. 

"Don’t continue the dress. We found somebody who will pay us,” the actress’s team said, according to Lagerfeld's claims.

Chanel has a policy of not paying celebrities to wear their garments.

"After we gift her a dress that’s €100,000 , we found later we had to pay. We give them dresses, we make the dresses, but we don’t pay,” he said.

However, the actress's team has refuted the claims, saying it is against the Oscar nominee's morals to wear a sponsored garment. 

The Hollywood drama is already staring and the Oscars hasn't even happened yet.

We'll be frank here; we love a sweet treat, and we adore a slick drink.

And when one of our favourite fancy drinks gets paired with one of our very favourite fancy treats, we'd step over our own mothers to get our hands on the recipe.

So, without further ado ladies, we give you Prosecco Pancakes.

Don't worry, you can thank us later.

Ingredients

For the pancakes

250g plain flour

2tsp baking powder

1tsp bicarbonate of soda

300ml of buttermilk

60ml Prosecco

2 eggs

Raspberries

Greek yoghurt

For the syrup

150g sugar

150ml Prosecco

Method 

In a large bowl, mix all the dry ingredients.

Combine the buttermilk, Prosecco and the eggs in another bowl and gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients.

Mix until just combined and refrigerate for two hours. 

Slightly grease a pan and pour about one tablespoon of batter over high heat.

Cook for about 2 minutes on one side, and one minute on the other side, until golden. Repeat until you have used up all the batter. 

Meanwhile, make the syrup.

Add the sugar and the Prosecco to a small saucepan over medium heat and let it thicken for about three minutes.

To serve, stack some pancakes on a plate, top them with Greek yoghurt and raspberries and pour over some syrup.

Young Kylie Jenner is on her way to becoming a makeup mogul, but it seems as though her brother-in-law wants to get in on the action.

That's right ladies, Kanye West is in the process of creating a beauty collection, which will be named DONDA Cosmetics, after his late mother.

Donda West passed away back in 2007, following complications during a surgical procedure. 

According to TMZ, Kanye has filed legal docs declaring his intention to produce DONDA brand makeup, perfumes, lotions and other cosmetics. 

While the world is probably flailing around with excitement about this interesting news, it actually hasn't come as a huge surprise.

Kanye has been pretty clear about his intentions to make DONDA a full lifestyle brand, complete with "holograms."

Of course, we all know that Kanye's sister-in-law Kylie Jenner has a super-successful makeup brand, so they're set to be direct competitors.

Penneys is an Irish institution, one we can always rely on for trusty must-haves like affordable eyelashes and our entire summer holiday wardrobe.

Penneys is our go-to store for everything, from gym gear to transitional workwear, and the brand is the champ when it comes to creating comfortable basics. 

In the case of one recently discovered item, the melding of form and function went a bit too far.

Penneys: For when you need a nice pair of trackies for that interview.

One Imgur user discovered a pair of dapper suit pants in the sale section of Penneys.

It was only after careful examination that the bargain hunter discovered that the smart suit pants were actually tracksuit bottoms facading as work slacks.

The trackies were even complete with a cuffed hem, all the better to show off your shiny new runners. Or work loafers.

While we love the concept of super comfy workwear, a suit-style pair of trackies isn't exactly what we had in mind.

However, the image has been viewed on Imgur almost 75,000 times, so they may just be on to something.

The weekend is FINALLY here, and it is the perfect time to bake some delicious treats. 

We came across this amazing recipe recently on Sprinkles For Breakfast, and fell in love. 

Try these beauties out, and let us know your thoughts:

What you'll need: 

Macaron Shells 

  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar 
  • 1 cup + 2 tbs almond flour 
  • 3 eggs whites 
  • 1/2 cup sugar 
  • Green food colouring
  • Salt 

Tequila Lime Filling

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature 
  • 1 1/3 cup powdered sugar 
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice 
  • 1-2 teaspoons lime zest
  • 1 tablespoon tequila
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt 

Margarita Macarons | Sprinkles for Breakfast

 

What you'll do:

The shells: 

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. 
  2. Prepare a pipping bag with a round tip with about a  1/4" opening,  and a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. 
  3. In a medium bowl, sift almond flour and powdered sugar together. Set aside. 
  4. In a stand mixer with a whisk attachment, beat egg whites on high speed until they form soft peaks. 
  5. Lower the mixer's speed to medium and add sugar. 
  6. Put mixer back on the highest speed and beat until stiff peaks are formed.
  7. With the mixer still on high speed, add food colouring a few drops at a time until you get desired colour. 
  8. Take bowl off of mixer and add almond flour/sugar mixture. 
  9. Using a rubber spatula, aggressively fold in dry ingredients until the batter starts to loosen and becomes a little runny.
  10. Put batter (about 1/3 of the mixture) into prepared pipping bag and cover the rest of the batter with cling film.   
  11. Pipe 1 1/2" circles on prepared baking sheet and firmly tap the bottom of the tray so the batter flattens out.
  12. Add a sprinkle of salt on top of each macaron. 
  13. Repeat the process with remaining batter.
  14. Let macarons rest for 30 – 45 minutes, or until they form a skin. 
  15. Bake for 10-12 minutes. 
  16. Let cool before peeling them off parchment paper. 

The filling: 

  1. In a stand mixer with a whisk attachment, cream butter on high speed until light and smooth. 
  2. Reduce the speed to low and add powdered sugar. Mix until fully incorporated.
  3. Add lime juice, zest, tequila and salt and mix on high speed until light and fluffy. 

Assembling the macaron 

  1. Peel macarons off parchment paper and pair them according to size. 
  2. Fill a piping bag fitted with a round tip with butter cream and pipe a dollop on one half of a pair of cookies. 
  3. Sandwich cookies together.

Marnie Simpson was left in shock after her now ex-boyfriend Lewis Bloor cheated on her on Valentine's Day while she was filming a new season of Geordie Shore.

The reality TV star posted a seven-minute rant on Snapchat in which she lashed out at the TV personality, and now a new tweet from Marnie has fans speculating that she may take him back.

Lewis posted an extensive apology to Marnie on his social media, which Marnie's Geordie Shore co-star Aaron Chalmers retweeted, adding his own accusation.

"Why don't you start by paying back some of the 20-25K you sponged off her?"

While Lewis was in the throes of cheating on Marnie, he allegedly told the girl he was about to sleep with that the relationship was fake and that he was only involved with Marnie for the money.

"Thousands, thousands he’s had out of me. Then he has the audacity to tell the girl that he’s only with me for the money," Marnie raged in her Snapchat rant. 

"I can’t actually believe it. I’ve cried, I’ve screamed, I’ve smashed my house up. Every emotion, I’m still in shock."

Since then, Marnie has again posted to Twitter abut the ordeal.

Sharing a lengthy statement, she said: "Lewis did not take 25k from me, it's unfair for me to let people think that as it's not true."

"Although I did help him incredibly a lot through our relationship it wasn't all one sided as he did guide me in different ways he was kind and loving and encouraged me in everything I did, which is why I'm so torn apart by his actions, I didn't expect it."

It's all well and good to clear the air, but there are some lines in her statement that have led fans to another conclusion. 

"Our relationship was happy, strong and amazing, despite anything there horrid girls have said."

"I refuse to let it turn what was real for me into a lost cause. And I don't want the last 8 months of my life to be a waste."

Some fans are commending Marnie for her dignified response to the further allegations, but others are speculating that the statement might be a sign that Marnie may consider taking her ex back.

"Oh god.. she's going to take him back," said one. "You've got mug written across your forehead!! Don't blame the girls it was your horrid boyfriend that done wrong not the girls," said another.

Lewis took to Twitter to apologise for his actions, calling Marnie a "very special girl" and an "amazing person" and apologising for the pain he has caused her.

He also said that he would be staying off social media "for the foreseeable future".

For anyone who doesn't know, Ash Wednesday, which kicks off the first day of Lent, is looming large on the horizon.

With the previous day's pancakes a distant memory, the Catholics among us will receive their ashes, and begin 40 days and 40 nights contemplating the mountain of Easter Eggs they'll make their way through once Lent comes to an end.

And while the good folk of Glenamaddy know it's definitely not something you miss, not everyone has the time to devote an entire mass to receiving their ashes, right?

With that in mind, the forward-thinking folk in Galway have decided to operate a drive-thru service.

Supported by the Glenamaddy pastoral council, the church will offer parishioners, who can’t attend mass, the chance to receive ashes from the comfort of their own cars.

Running from 8am to 9.30am outside Glenamaddy church next Wednesday, those in a hurry are now officially sorted.

Ed Sheeran's Brit Awards performance was absolutely deadly, and when Stormzy arrived on stage to assist Ed with his symphonic sounds, we nearly lost it. 

He performed his two new singles Castle On The Hill and Shape Of You, with Stormzy collaborating on the latter to create an amazing new song. 

The new song is absolutely unbelievable, and is being hailed as a "work of art" by fans, who are keeping their fingers crossed that grime artist Stormzy might make a guest appearance at some of Ed's shows on his world tour.

Not content with re-creating one amazing tune, Ed Sheeran followed in his own footsteps by dropping not one, but two new versions of Shape Of You this morning.

The second remix is by Major Lazer, who headlined at Longitude last year, and the electronic music collective have made their version of the song almost unrecognisable.

Ed Sheeran has clearly brought his A-game after his 365 day sabbatical.
