European Union leaders have agreed today that Northern Ireland will automatically become part of the EU if a future Border poll shows favour of a united Ireland.

The decision was made at a meeting of EU leaders in Brussels to discuss the implications and effects of Brexit on Ireland which concluded this afternoon.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny said that Ireland’s difficulties in regards to border negotiations were understood by European leaders.

The leaders of the remaining EU states also approved guidelines for how the EU trading bloc will conduct its Brexit negotiations with the United Kingdom.

European Council president Donald Tusk said the summit had approved the guidelines in less than a minute, according to The Irish Times.

Everywhere we look there is a new and fantastic cosmetic to be seen (and admired), but with all of the glitz and glamour that come alongside mermaid makeup or a snazzy new palette – we tend to forget about one really important thing.

When it comes to beauty products, and skincare as a whole, we are of the opinion that moisturiser is the true key to success.

A suitable moisturiser can help prevent and treat dry skin, protect sensitive skin, improve skin tone and texture, and mask certain unsightly imperfections.

Due to the fact that moisturisers hold water in the outermost layer of skin, they also act as a temporary barrier for your skin – so what's not to love?

Honestly now, there is no point in forking out a fortune on an expensive foundation if you're not using a good moisturiser, so we have listed the five best face creams on the beauty market right now.

You can thank us later:

Festival season is just around the corner, and kicking it all off is Bulmer's Forbidden Fruit Festival on the June Bank Holiday weekend.

The festival already boasts five stages of music, comedy and spoken word, but now the festival has announced a brand new addition to the line-up.

Bulmers have added a sixth stage to this year’s Forbidden Fruit Festival to support  the diverse range of immensely talented, emerging Irish artists.

The new One Hundred Percent Irish Artists Live Stage is set to become an annual feature at Forbidden Fruit, and will play host to 19 artists over the three days.

Rusangano Family, Talos, Tara Lee, Ryan Vail, Soule,   Le Boom,  Bad Bones, LAOISE, Ships, The Innocent Bystander,  Wastefellow, Barq, Ocho,  Super Silly, Mango, Aik J, Heroes in Hiding, Handsome Paddy and Tara Stewart will all be playing live at the new venue.

'We’ve been involved with Forbidden Fruit from the very start and each year we try to bring something new to the festival that is inherently Bulmers in nature.  For Bulmers, being Irish is a badge of honour, so we really wanted to do something that would support and showcase up-coming Irish talent with a bit of edge,' said Bulmers' Belinda Kelly.

Many of these artists will be already well known on the music scene but will not have had an opportunity to perform at a festival the size of Forbidden Fruit.  We’re just giving them a new platform and a means to reach new audiences, and we are really excited at the prospect of enjoying 19 new festival acts over the Bank Holiday weekend.”

Three-day passes for rhe festival are still available, and cost €145.50 from Ticketmaster.

We're all dying for the new season of OITNB to come to Netflix, but we don't want to watch it by any ill-gotten means.

According to reports, the newest season of Orange is the New Black has been hijacked by a hacker who is blackmailing Netflix for ransom.

The hacker, who goes by the name The Dark Overlord, claims to have stolen the upcoming season, and is asking for an unspecified ransom to not release the entire fifth series online.

The hacker has already uploaded the first episode to an illegal file-sharing service, according to the Associated Press

Season 5 consists of 13 episodes and was set to be released on June 9 this year

Aldi have launched a delightful range of alcoholic ice pops just in time for the Bank Holiday weekend, and they sound incredible.

Aldi alcohol popsicles

Available in "Gin and Tonic" and "Peach Bellini" flavours, these frozen treats are 4.5 percent ABV (the same as most beers),so they will give you a welcomed buzz.

As if this information wasn't;t enough to put a smile on your face, the ice pops are also SUPER affordable – at just £2.99 for a packet of four, making them cheaper than most ordinary popsicles.

Tony Baines, M.D of Corporate Buying at Aldi, said: "We are proud to bring popular products and trends to our customers whilst staying committed to our low price promise. Although sunshine may not be guaranteed, our alcoholic popsicles are sure to be a hit with adults, whatever the weather!"

Taking to the social media site last night, Conor shared a selfie of himself and Dee, telling fans they were at the hospital and using the baby emoji to tell us exactly why they were there.

If you're anything like us, there's a high chance you regularly have a mountain of clothes, shoes and accessories waiting in a virtual basket for the moment your monthly salary drops.

The joys of online shopping means you can browse to your heart's content, send screenshots to the squad for feedback, and even check reviews of the items before making the plunge.

Oh, and you can do it from the comfort of your own couch with a glass of vino in one hand and a credit card in the other.

And as online shopping devotees, we can confirm that no matter how adept we've become at the activity, we generally tend to have the same seven thoughts at various stages of the process.

1. Am I a 10 on this site or are these the guys that bumped me up to a 12 without my permission?

"Ah, there are no tens left, sure. Looks like I'm a 12 here, so."

2. What was I looking for in the first place?

"Christ, it was for someone's birthday present, wasn't it?  And yet here I am on my own favourited list again."

3. I wish I was the type that could wear fringing.

"Imagine how different my life would be if I could pull off fringing. They'd call me the girl with the fringing."

4. I know I only wanted the skirt, but the whole outfit is calling to me.

"They put this look together for a reason, and if I ignore it, it'll be one of those things I'll regret forever."

5. Filtering has got to be one of the greatest inventions ever.

It's like having my own personal shopper, but I don't have to open my mouth or make eye contact.

6. A sale! They're having a sale! AND I have a discount code. That's it. This is how I'll go. Retail euphoria.

"iClothing, I love you. You guys are the real MVPs."

7. One day I'm going to earn a bigger wage and actually get everything on my wishlist.

"That'll always be the goal."

Every year, there was at least one.

One jammy little so-and-so in your primary school who managed to score a trip to Lapland just in time for Christmas.

While your teacher (the traitor) encouraged them to share their excitement with everyone, you watched from a dark corner of the classroom and silently plotted their downfall.

And here are just eight thoughts that ran through your head while your so-called friend ruined your Christmas.

1. “Why are her parents bringing her to Lapland, and my parents are bringing me to mass?”

“I swear I was born into the wrong family.”

2. “There should be a pay-off for this.”

“If she gets to go to Lapland, she shouldn’t get any presents.”

3. “Why is the teacher making us listen to this?”

“She must enjoy our misery. She must relish our envy.”

4. “Did she actually say she’ll get to make presents with Santa?”

“That one is living on another planet.”

5.  “Why is she still talking?”

“We get it. Reindeers, snow, Santa; change the record.”

6. “When I’m an adult, I’m going to Lapland every Christmas.”

“And then who’ll be laughing?”

7. “Are these knots in my stomach jealousy or pure rage?”

“I swear, she”ll pay for making me feel like this.”

8. “When she gets back, I’m not asking her one damn thing about it.”

“And I’ll shred her photos if she comes anywhere near me.”

If you’re still not over it, why not get your own back by planning your trip this year?

Sunway are currently offering one and two night trips to Lapland this December with flights from Dublin, Cork, Shannon, Knock and Kerry.

Ladies, you know what to do.
