The hashtag #AskFiannaFáil is trending in Ireland right now, but probably not for the reasons they had hoped.

TD and Spokesperson on Children and Youth Affairs Anne Rabbitte tweeted out to the public, telling them that Fianna Fail would answer their questions if they had any.

And boy, did they have some.

From snarky suggestions about the state of the country, to genuine queries about love, life and the universe, we're thinking this hashtag is getting a little out of hand.

Here are a few of our favourites:

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar faced major criticism after his appearance on the Vincent Browne show earlier this week.

The leader expressed to Vincent that the majority of Irish people are 'middle class,' and that that includes people living on minimum wage.

'Over 70 per cent of people' consider themselves middle class, according to the Taoiseach, and those on minimum wage 'very much are the people.'

Leo faced serious social media backlash over the comments, but is now defending the statement.

According to Breaking News, the Taoiseach has said that his definition of being middle class extends past financial paradigms.

'I don’t think it’s about your income in any given year. It’s about how you see yourself and your aspirations,'said Varadkar.

“They want better for themselves and they want better for their families,” he added.

Sometimes, we stumble upon a new home trend that just makes us feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Our latest discovery comes in the form of ombré feature walls, and OH MY GOD are they beautiful (seriously, all the goals).

A subtle ombré technique is actually quite simple to achieve – simply start at the top of the wall with the deepest of three graduated shades, finish with the lightest, and blend for a stunning result.

We did some digging on the trusty internet, and found some amazing examples that are guaranteed to inspire you:

It was alleged in an extensive investigative report by Buzzfeed a number of weeks ago that noughties rapper R. Kelly has been holding women hostage in a cult in a number of his US properties.

The article says that the families of numerous women are concerned for the safety of their ‘brainwashed’ daughters who are residing in a cult-like atmosphere with the RnB star, who allegedly controls all aspects of their lives.

According to members of R. Kelly’s former posse, the singer controls what the women eat, how they dress, when they bathe, when they sleep, and how they engage in sexual encounters, says Buzzfeed.

R Kelly has officially declared the rumours to be 'crap' in a recent video, in which he insists he will be going ahead with his planned US tour.

'I just want to let all of my fans out there know that despite all of the crap y’all hearing I will be coming to the east coast to do my show.'

'And believe me, y’all, it’s a bunch of crap.'

'All right, so I hope to see y'all there. I love y'all.'

The video, posted to Twitter shows the rapper in grainy lighting.

'We can only wonder why folks would persist in defaming a great artist who loves his fans, works 24/7, and takes care of all of the people in his life,' R Kelly's lawyer previously told Buzzfeed.

'He works hard to become the best person and artist he can be. It is interesting that stories and tales debunked many years ago turn up when his goal is to stop the violence; put down the guns; and embrace peace and love.'

'I suppose that is the price of fame. Like all of us, Mr. Kelly deserves a personal life. Please respect that.'

It's National Lipstick Day, and to celebrate the ultimate finishing touch to any makeup look, we at SHEmazing HQ reflected on our favourite lippie products.

From mauves to nudes to browns to dazzling reds, the varying shades we love are as unique as the women who wear them.

NYX Lingerie Liquid Lipstick in Embellishment

'Obviously the entire world has become obsessed with liquid lipsticks thanks to Kylie Jenner and her kits. I've always been a big fan of NYX because their colour range is massive, but Embellished is the ideal mauve shade that goes really well with my colouring. (aka pale AF with dark eyes and brows)'

'It doesn't require lip liner underneath and I need something I can slick on on the Luas on my way to drinks or whatever, and I'm definitely no MUA so one-step application is the only way forward for me.' – Sarah Magliocco, SHEmazing writer.

M.A.C Lipstick in Russian Red

'Mine has to be M.A.C's Russian Red.'

'It makes my lips look bigger and the colour goes with every makeup look.' – Oliva Hayes, SHEmazing writer.

Maybelline Coloursens Nude Lipstick in Coffee Craze

This is the perfect 'your lips but browner' colour, and it makes your teeth look super white.

'It's also a really nice texture and doesn't dry out your lips at all.' – Lauren Nolan, SHEmazing Writer

M.A.C Lipstick in Dark Side

'I don't really wear lipstick that often, even if I have a full face of makeup I'd more just wear a tinted Vaseline.'

'I often find that if I wear red lipsticks and stuff that I still feel like I'm playing with my Mam's makeup it's like a dressing up box, but this is more of a burgundy, and it doesn't;t feel waxy and artificial it feels quite creamy.'

'I't one of the few lipstick I've bought a few times.' – Niamh McClelland, SHEmazing Editor

M.A.C Lipstick in Velvet Teddy

Velvet Teddy is a cult classic, and there is a reason why – it goes with every look.

It is the perfect matte shade for both day and night, I wear it with pretty much everything.' – Rebecca O'Keeffe, Senior Staff Writer at Sheology.

In a world dominated by the antics of one president in particular, it's a relief to remember that our Emerald Isle is represented by the kindest of souls.

We had a little chuckle to ourselves when a very sweet tweet popped up on our feeds this morning.

98FM Dublin Talks producer Katie Makk very generously extended an invitation to our El Presidente to her wedding, and tweeted his amazing response.

'So for the craic I sent an invite to my wedding to @PresidentIRL – today I received this in the post good auld Michael D,' tweeted Katie.

His response was as follows:

'Dear Katie and Alan,

'President Higgins has asked me to thank you most sincerely for your kind invitation to attend at the celebration of your wedding.'

'Your thoughtfulness in extending the invitation is very much appreciated but the President regrets that, due to the extent of his commitments, it is not possible for him to accept.'

What an absolute gentleman.

The cost of electricity is about to increase.

Householders can expect to pay an extra €20.00, starting from October.

This is because the Public Service Obligation Levy is going up, says The Commission for Energy Regulation.

This is an increase of 30 per cent per year.

The PSO Levy is a government subsidy that is charged to all electricity customers in Ireland.

The levy is in place to 'subsidise renewable energy generation and peat burning power plants.'

Previously, householders paid €70.50 per year for the levy, which will now increase to €92.00

George Clooney is absolutely fuming after a French magazine papped and printed photos of his newborn children without permission.

George and wife Amal have threatened legal action, after the images of the twins were splashed across the front page of the magazine, entitled Voici.

The images were taken at their villa near Lake Como, Italy.

A post shared by CCR Expo (@ccrexpo) on

'Over the last week photographers from Voici magazine scaled our fence, climbed our tree and illegally took pictures of our infants inside our home.'

'Make no mistake the photographers, the agency and the magazine will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law,' Clooney told People in a statement.

'The safety of our children demands it.'

Many celebrities opt to have their children's faces blurred in paparazzi images to protect their identities, or choose to keep their children out of the public eye entirely.

George and Amal, who have been relatively private about their personal lives, have made it clear that they feel that privacy will assist them in keeping their children safe.
