We're all after a natural looking, glowy tan, and there are so many different ways of achieving the look in a bottle.

From instant tans in formulas like gels, mousses and sprays, we're pretty spoiled for choice when it comes to transforming ourselves into bronzed goddesses.

There is a new formula on our radars at the moment, in the form of tanning water.

Penneys has just rolled out a brand new Ps…Tanning Water, and we're more than a little curious to try the new concept.

Tanning water is a quick-drying type of tan which can be spritzed on as easily as a body mist and quickly buffed into the skin with the help of a light tanning mitt.

The Penneys water describes itself as a 'bronzing hydrating water' that is perfect for achieving a 'light weight application' process.

Popular Irish blogger Penneys Hun posted a quick Facebook review about the new concept.

'I will admit I was a little skeptical when I picked this up last week,' she wrote in the post.

'Afraid for my life that I would turn out orange but if you follow the instructions carefully you can't go wrong – really happy with the colour that developed, a natural bronzed glow.'

The airport announced that it is rolling out the new routes just in time for summer, so we think it's time to start planning that well-deserved vacay.

Five new long haul flights are on the list and four new short haul routes are also being introduced.

The routes include:

“We are continuously working with existing and new airlines to add new and exciting destinations to our route network,"said Dublin Airport managing director, Vincent Harrison.

"These nine new services together with extra capacity and frequency on over 20 existing routes provides our customers with greater choice, and flexibility and more whether they are travelling for business or leisure purposes this summer season."

Whether you're heading up to Donegal or jetting away to Costa Rica, there's nothing better than reading a great book while on holiday.

From thrillers, to love stories and everything in between, we love grabbing a book before we take some much-needed time off.

We have rounded up the best five books from this year so far for you to take along with you on your holliers.

The Rule Don't Apply by Ariel Levy

The book's synopsis reads, "When Ariel Levy left for a reporting trip to Mongolia in 2012, she was pregnant, married, financially secure, and successful on her own terms. A month later, none of that was true.

"Levy picks you up and hurls you through the story of how she built an unconventional life and then watched it fall apart with astonishing speed. Like much of her generation, she was raised to resist traditional rules—about work, about love, and about womanhood."

The deeply moving memoir chronicles adventure, heartbreak and a woman's reinvention of herself.

Who Thought This Was a Good Idea? by Alyssa Mastromonaco

Alyssa Mastromonaco worked for Barack Obama long before he began his campaign for president.

"As director of campaign operations, she made Hope and Change happen through blood, sweat, tears, and lots of briefing binders," the review reads.

"Here Alyssa shares the strategies that made her successful in politics and the White House-including the importance of confidence, the value of not being a jerk, and why ultimately everything comes down to hard work (and always carrying a spare tampon)."

The Arrangement by Sarah Dunn

"When friends at a wine-soaked dinner party reveal they've made their marriage open, sensible Lucy balks," reads the Amazon synopsis.

"There's a part of her, though- the part that worries she's become too comfortable being invisible – that's intrigued. Why not try a short marital experiment? Six months, clear ground rules, zero questions asked.

"When an affair with a man in the city begins to seem more enticing than the happily-ever-after she's known for the past nine years, Lucy must decide what truly makes her happy- 'real life', or the 'experiment'?"

The Amateurs by Sara Shepard

If you were a fan of the Pretty Little Liars books, then this will be right up your street.

Aerin Kelly loves her older sister, Helena, and they did everything together until one day, Helena disappeared.

"Four years later, Helena's body is found. Wracked with grief and refusing to give up on her sister, Aerin spends months trying to figure out what exactly happened to Helena and who killed her. But the police have no leads," the synopsis reads.

Your wedding day will probably be the most photographed day of your life, and with good reason.

Between the perfect dress, the flawless make-up and the beautiful venue to act as the backdrop, you’re going to want to document your efforts. But have you ever stopped to think just how many photos will be taken?

A new report has put a number on it – and it's slightly terrifying.

Research by Mobiles.co.uk has found that an average of 3,000 pictures are taken over the course of the average wedding day.

That's right, 3,000

See, while most couple still choose to hire a professional photographer to document the day, a massive 75 per cent of wedding guests will use their smart phones to grab some extra snaps.

The survey of 1,015 wedding guests and 1,015 recently married couples also found that two thirds of those pictures are shared on social media – so essentially 2,000 pictures of your wedding day will be floating around in cyber space for all of eternity.

Given these stats, it’s no wonder most brides make it their business to look their best on the day.

Let's face it, festivals can be pricey affairs.

From the ticket price to the outfits to the camping equipment, we'd do anything to cut down on an expense or two.

Luckily, Electric Picnic is offering volunteers the opportunity to work at the festival in exchange for free entry and access to all of the acts.

'We are looking for weekend volunteers to come and help out at Electric Picnic 2017,' reads the application page.

'Volunteers play an important part in the festival, and they also gain entry to the festival in exchange for 24 hours of voluntary work.'

'The volunteer shifts can be split in to four six-hour shifts or three eight-hour shifts.'

The role will include being the 'eyes and ears' of the festival, assisting festival-goers with general queries, assisting in the campsites, directing production vehicles throughout the site, and working at wristband checkpoints

You can find out all of the information regarding the role here.

24 hours of wristband checking to get in to a three-day festival for free sounds like a pretty good deal to us.

Galway is one of the most beautiful cities in the country, and one couple chose the city's busiest street as the location for their first dance.

Kate Divilly and Declan Tannam opted to wed in the City of Tribes last week, and as Today FM discovered, the pair had an epic first dance on Shop Street.

As the wedding party returned to the hotel, a band was busking (like always) on the street, and the party couldn't resist having a dance there and then.

The special moment was captured by a member of Brown Thomas staff who had an eagle eyed view of the occasion.

'We were walking past a band and everyone was clapping at us and taking pictures and then the band spotted us,' chief bridesmaid Aoife Doyle told Today FM.

'We were saying ‘play Galway Girl’ because Kate is from Galway and they kind of looked at us and went ‘we don’t know that one’

Major congratulations to the couple, and this first dance is going to go down in Galway history.

Hey guess what?

Periods are a thing. They arrive every month (or three weeks. or sporadically, or whenever the hell they decide to arrive), but despite their frequency and necessity, we can still be pretty squeamish about them.

Especially when it comes to sex, according to a new study.

A study from Flex found that women are twice as likely as men to turn down sex with a new partner thanks to a period.

89 per cent of people cite the mess and potential clean up as a reason to avoid the act, which is understandable, who wants to ruin yet another bed sheet with a blood stain?

However for the 30 per cent of men and women who want more period sex at all stages of the cycle, we say just put a towel down.

55 per cent of people polled think that period sex is fine and natural, while 45 per cent think that it's gross, so this is a pretty divisive issue.

From the mess to feeling bloated and just generally not being in the mood, period sex can seem like a bit of an ordeal to some people.

However, some women claim to feel more sexually aroused while on their period than usual.

In fact, 20 per cent of women in the survey said they were extra horny at that time of the month.

Flex (which is a tampon women can wear during sex) founder Erika Jensen encourages sexual partners to try sex on your cycle if it's something you want to do.

'If there is something you’ve never done because you’re scared or embarrassed or (worst of all) set in your ways just because, I urge you to do it,' she said.

'Or talk to someone who has done it. Explore a new perspective.'

70 per cent of people have a conversation about being on their period before the sex occurs, just to be sure that their potential partner is aware that the menses have arrived as a common courtesy.

However, 45 per cent of women have had a partner turn them down for sex because they were on their period.

It's probably time that period sex was normalised, after all, it's an extra week in the month of potential sexy time we could all be having, but squeamishness is holding us all back.
