We all love our mammies, and what better way to honour them than with a public declaration of devotion?

With Mother's Day fast approaching, The Ray D’Arcy Show are hoping to give sons and daughters across the nation a chance to pay tribute to their mothers live on RTÉ One next Saturday night, March 25 (that's Mother's Day eve, for those who forgot).

To enter, get in touch with The Ray D’Arcy Show TV team telling them just why your mum deserves a big Mother's Day thank you.

"If you would like to say thank you on the national air waves to your mum, get us a video in, and we'll be playing them out. So if you have an auld camera phone, and who doesn't now, say a lovely message into it about your mum," said Ray.

Maybe your mammy helped you through a particularly tough time, or perhaps she had a challenging year and you just want to let her know why she is so special to you.

Whatever the reason, Ray wants to hear from you, and if successful, you and your mum might be live in studio on next weekend's show, or your special Mother's Day video message could feature on the show that night.

To enter, send your video message to thanksmam@rte.ie, and don’t forget to include a daytime contact number.

America's Next Top Model is a noughties classic, with hosts Tyra Banks, Janice Dickenson and Ms J honing the skills of wannabe models year in and year out.

In the most recent series, Tyra vacated her throne as queen judge in favour of Rita Ora, who has been heading up the show with body positivity activist Ashley Graham, as well as stylist Law Roach and chief creative officer of Paper Magazine Drew Eliot.

Now, the OG model has set her sights on her crown once again.

Tyra, who has been ANTM‘s creator and executive producer this series, is set for a return.

The super model will begin shooting the new series of the show this summer, but there is no word yet on whether Rita will be remaining as a fellow judge.

ANTM fans are thrilled by the news, and have called for the other OG judges to make a comeback too.

Rita took to Instagram to share a sweet snap of herself and Tyra.

"Words can't describe how much FUN I had hosting this show for you – it was such an honour," she said.

"I grew up watching and loving the show it was a dream come true and I can't wait for you to hear my new album!"

"It's TIME PEOPLE!!! Love the whole ANTM cast and crew and good luck for the future!! Love you," she finished.

We can't wait for the new season!

None of us will deny that we have a special relationship with food, be it good, bad or indifferent.

However, it can be quite easy to get lazy and uninventive when it comes to what we serve up everyday.

That got us thinking about food inspiration, and where to find it – the natural conclusion being the beautiful Internet.

We did some digging, and found some of the most amazing food Instagram accounts out there that will inspire you to embrace your inner chef (if and when you have the time).=

1. Breakfast Criminals

Breakfast is, without a doubt, the most important meal of the day. However, it also happens to be an easy meal to forget about, or skip out of sheer inconvenience.

Ksenia Avdulova is the social media strategist-slash-speaker-slash-yogi and founder of this amazing food blog, that gives breakfast a whole new meaning.

This Instagram account features gorgeous smoothie bowls that are packed with colour and nutrients, and some of the most delicious looking pancakes we've ever seen.

Ksenia shares all of her recipes online, and none of them are particularly difficult, so what's stopping you?

One of my 2016 highlights was creating this superfood porridge bar with @livebeaming! Matcha cashew cream, coconut yogurt, wild berry chia jam, addictive overnight oats & all They're giving away a breakfast on their IG right now, don't miss it! I wrote everything about how it came together on breakfastcriminals.com  I get lots of Q's from you guys about how this or that project happened, or how I grew my website to be a profitable business I love like my child. The formula is ALWAYS is the same:  dream it up, have a clear intention, do good work & be kind. If you wanna read more about this woo woo kinda manifestation stuff that I live by, I'm sharing more of it on www.digitaloralive.com, my second child  #breakfastbeaming #matchanonymoush

2. Vibrant and Pure

Food stylist and photographer Adeline Waugh is the wonderful human behind the Vibrant and Pure Instagram account, and the creator of the delicious mermaid toast we fell for last week.

I guess mermaid toast is officially a thing if @foodandwine did a feature on it… what!? Beyond flattered…the name sticks for this aquatic creation. I feel like I'm about to go on a mild rant: So, this happened when I put unicorn toast out there too… there will be so many wonderful comments and articles covering it- but then there are also so many people and articles hating on it; saying it's "silly" and asking, "why?" Or "who has time for that?!" Let me just put this out there: I am just having fun! I am a food stylist and I like to create beautiful things using food- I've never claimed to be starting a trend or a putting out a new recipe that is super practical- it's 100% impractical, I just like to play around in the kitchen and attempt to create something aesthetically pleasing and unique from time to time. Also, I don't know about you, but with everything going on in the world today, sometimes I just want to look at some colorful food. Okay- rant over, phew  I shouldn't even pay attention to the negativity when there's so much positivity from everyone out there, and for that- I'm extremely appreciative!  Link in bio to check out the F&W article on #mermaidtoast #vibrantandpure

A post shared by Adeline Waugh (@vibrantandpure) on

Adeline posts stunningly vibrant food pics, encouraging everyone to use colour in their food – through fruit and vegetables.

Rather than using food colouring, this foodie opts for  natural pigments such as beetroot and turmeric to achieve that vibrant colour in her magical mermaid and unicorn toasts.

If these gorgeous snaps don't inspire your cooking, we don't know what will.

3. Rainbow Plant Life

Nisha of the blog Laws of Bliss is a Harvard graduate, who ditched the world of law to travel the world and discover the importance of living life to the fullest.

Upon returning to the "real world," Brooklyn-based Nisha started documenting her healthy, vegan, gluten-free, and paleo recipes on her blog and Instagram.

Her feed is filled with glorious creations, all of which are relatively easy to make.

We're inspired already, are you?

4. Coco Cake Land

Writer, and baker Lyndsay Sung shares her original cake tutorials and dessert recipes on her blog and Instagram, Coco Cake Land.

We were hoping that Saint Patrick would bless Ireland with some glorious weather for our national holiday, but unfortunately today's forecast is looking as typically Irish as you could get.

Today will be cool and windy, with a status yellow weather warning and status yellow marine gale force wind warning in place.

"Cool, blustery and mainly cloudy today, St. Patrick's Day," according to Met Éireann.

"Fresh to strong and gusty southwest winds will be blustery on Atlantic coasts."

"Dry in some eastern and southern areas to start, but persistent and sometimes heavy rain will affect Connacht, Ulster and parts of west Munster today, with some hill and coastal fog."

"But the rain should be lighter and more scattered elsewhere, with further occasional dry periods. Top temperatures 9 to 11 C."

Hopefully the rain will ease off during the parades happening up and down the country today.

Whether you were a fan of the movie or not, you can't deny that Disney's new Avatar world looks insane.

Walt Disney World in Florida is opening Pandora, The World of Avatar, later this year, and to be honest, it doesn't even look real – that's how good it is.

Pandora will open in Disney's Animal Kingdom this summer and has a whole range of activities to try.

It will feature various boat rides around a bioluminescent rainforest, a giant tree, and Avatar-themed restaurants.

The chairman of Disney Parks and Resorts, Bob Chapek, said: "I think the thing I'm most excited about right now to experience would be everything in Pandora.

"From the place-making to the two extraordinary attractions that will be in the land – both the Na'vi River Journey as well as Avatar Flight of Passage – these promise to set new high-watermarks for our experiential magic we give our guests.

"The journey culminates in an encounter with a Na'vi shaman who has a deep connection to the life force of Pandora and sends positive energy out into the forest through her music," Bob added.

This is the coolest thing ever.

During the week, Little Mix were hit with split rumours when Perrie Edwards shared a picture with her bandmates at the Kids Choice Awards.

However, she cropped Jesy Nelson out of the snap.

Fans began to speculate that the girls had a fight, and then rumours went flying that the band were about to split up.

A post shared by Perrie Edwards  (@perrieedwards) on

But today, Jesy ended the gossip by posting a Snapchat video in Perrie's bed.

"So we just want to address the situation of the friendship between me and Perrie. Do you think I'd be lying alone in her bed if I wasn’t friends with her?" she said in the video, while Perrie giggled in the background.

Fans are now delighted and many are saying on social media that they didn't believe the hype anyway.

"There's no shade. They said they were best friends on Snapchat today anyways," one fan said on Twitter.

The girls certainly know how to end a rumour.

So, we have reached that stage of the month when we start to cancel on our friends because, you know, we just can’t afford it.

But sharing a nice dinner with your friends and family doesn’t mean you have to break the bank – if you pick one these affordable restaurants in Dublin.

Featherblade

A great steak usually comes at a (pretty heavy) price. But in Featherblade, you can get a delicious juicy steak for as little as 13 euros (you should also add one or two or their fab sides, just sayin’…).

We rarely give credit to our small green isle, but looking at this video, there's so much more to Ireland than we even know.

For the week that's in it, the Irish government picked a pretty opportune time to launch Ireland.ie, a new government initiative aimed at making creativity the centre of the public domain in the country.

The Creative Ireland Programme is urging everyone to get involved, and have built five pillars of inspiration and focus.

The five-year plan aims to bring an "enhanced level of coordination, focus and leadership to existing policies and initiatives across national and local government, State agencies, the arts and culture sector, Gaeltacht and Irish language organisations."

In the promotion video, stars such as director Lenny Abrahamson, Bill Whelan, surfer Easkey Britton and Irish fiction writer Anne Enright all take part. The Villagers also lent their talents to the music behind the video.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny debuted the website last night in Washington DC, and it has since been growing great momentum online.

However, it is not only promoting Irish talent, the five minute video also gives a glimpse into the stunning sights of Ireland, and it captured some truly stunning scenes.

Take a few minutes out to enjoy the video, and have a look at the new initiatives Ireland will be rolling out by the end of this year.
