RTÉ star Jennifer Maguire is known for her ultra-chic style, but she insists she didn't always have quite as firm a grasp on the world of fashion.

Speaking to SHEmazing! today ahead of her return to RTÉ2 as everyone's favourite 1980s mammy on Bridget & Eamon, Jennifer recalled her own memories of that "ridiculous" decade.

"I was all about the shiny tracksuits, and my sisters and I all had awful hair," she admitted.

"I'm amazed we survived the Eighties really.

"My own style would be more inspired by Alex Chung than Bridget, I love that 'effortless' look… But the Eighties is so in right now."

Of course, now that she's an Irish mammy herself – indeed, she welcomed her first daughter Florence last March – Jennifer's all about the 1980s throwbacks.

"The moment Florence gets sick she'll have flat 7Up and dry toast.

"That's a given, it cures everything, I'm sure it cures cancer, they just haven't spotted it yet."

With little Florence about to turn one, Jennifer says she's definitely open to having more kids – but not just yet.

"I'd love to do a Miriam [O'Callaghan] on it and have a rake of kids," she explains.

"But I live in a shoebox so it's not feasible right now."

For the moment, the mum-of-one is happy to focus on building her career, which got a huge boost last year when RTÉ commissioned Bridget & Eamon – originally a Republic of Telly sketch – for a full series.

"We’re really proud of it," says Jennifer of the new show, written by herself, Jason Butler and co-star Bernard O'Shea.

"So many people have told us how much they love the characters and how much Bridget reminds them of their mammy or their mad neighbour. I hope people enjoy watching this as much as we enjoyed making it."

Bridget & Eamon starts on RTÉ2 on Monday 1 February at 10pm – check out our interview with Jennifer below:

The internet is still reeling from the fact that the chocolate cake-eating guy from Matilda grew up to be totally scrumptious.

Yep, Bruce Bogtrotter (or Jimmy Karz as he goes by in real life) is now a total catch.

But before you start to get weird about your feelings towards former innocent child actors, here's some kids who went from young to YUM:

1) Nicolas Hoult

Nicholas went from playing an adorably nerdy little kid in About a Boy to absolute adonis in Skins.

Oh and he landed one of the hottest ladies in Hollywood, Jennifer Lawrence, for a few years.

Yep, age did good things for him.

2) Jonathon Lipnicki

OUR EYES!

Seriously though, who would have thought that the bespeckled, mouse-loving kid from Stuart Little would grow up to be so RIPPED.

3) Michelle Tractenberg

From innocent girl next door to sultry siren, Michelle's transition is something to behold.

We are SO into the dark hair.

4) Matthew Lewis

In perhaps the most dramatic transformation of all, puberty worked wonders for Harry Potter actor Matthew Lewis.

A new set of gnashers also helped.

5) Josh Peck

That hilarious kid from Drake and Josh shed all of his puppy fat to be, well, simply dashing!

6) Alyssa Milano

Cute and cuter, Alyssa's looks simply defy aging.

We'll take a shot of those genes, puh-lease.

7) Joseph Gordon-Levitt

From geek to chic, Joseph swapped questionable hairstyles for manly moodiness.

We are ALL for it.

We may all have looked enviably upon a careless house cat getting to spend their entire day snoozing, but we have never decided that we are actually a cat.

A 20-year-old Norweigan woman has claimed just that in a YouTube video that is quickly gathering attention online.

Since discovering her true feline identity at the age of 16, Nano has decide to commit fully to her life as a pussycat.

Yep, this young woman full-on 'meows' as a form of communication whilst also claiming that she has a heightened sense of eyesight and smell.

And as imagined, Nano is NOT a fan of dogs.

"There is a dog over there," she says in the video.

"Sometime I hiss when meeting dogs in the street. It's because of their behaviour and my instinct automatically reacts by hissing."

Nano lives her life wearing makeshift cat ears and a tail, believing that she has simply been born into the wrong species.

We take absolutely anything that Victoria does to be genius, so naturally anything she says we consider to be total wisdom.

And this week Victoria had a few inspirations words to share from one mother to…. well her 9.1 million Instagram followers.

"Teach your daughters to worry less about fitting into glass slippers and more about shattering glass ceilings," read the empowering image shared by the mum-of-four.

Yep, Victoria wants mums of the world to stop filling their kids' heads with fairytales and instead teach them all the ways they can change the world.

And if anyone has the right to share these words, it's Vic herself.

Not only has Victoria been a member of the greatest girl group of all time but she has singlehandedly constructed her very own fashion empire, totally revamped the public's perception of her and has generally personified the longstanding meaning of 'girl power'.

And she managed all this whilst maintaining a happy marriage and being a mother to four kids.

However, husband David has revealed that being a mum is not always a walk in the park. Poor Vic is struggling watching Brooklyn grow up.

"I think it’s easier for me than his mum, you know? To see her little boy go out and date," said David to Glamour Magazine.

"For mums, I think it’s slightly more difficult with the boys, but obviously once Harper starts, then I don’t even want to think about that at the moment."

Ah, they grow up so fast!

Hollywood's ultimate bad boy and general Irish heartbreaker-of-the world, Colin Farrell, has been spotted out with a new mystery lady on his arm.

The handsome duo were snapped out getting a bit of grub in Hollywood earlier this week.

And the 39-year-old is looking like his usual heartthrob-y self as he a rocked slicked back hair and biker boots.

As for the lucky lady, no news yet as to who she might be but if history is anything to go by, we know that Colin likes to be a bit of a bachelor.

Having dated some of Hollywood's finest ladies, no one has managed to sweep the True Detective star off his feet for the long haul.

Colin has been famously linked to the likes of Britney Spears, Angelina Jolie and Michelle Rodriguez in the past.

But speaking in a recent interview, it seems that there is no one serious in Colin's life.

"Straight up, you are literally the closest thing I have to a girlfriend," said the actor to Ellen DeGeneres.

"I don't have a type. A human being, you know? I suppose kindness is kind of nice and sexy."

Could this pretty brunette be the one?

It's certainly a handful, but it sure is a mega-cute handful.

Coleen Rooney has shared the first image of her new son, Kit, along with her other two sons, Kai and Klay.

The black and white photo, which she shared on Instagram, was captioned: "Love at first sight!! My boys."

The mum-of-three let her son, Kai, 6, feed Kit as Klay, 2, watched over them. Wayne also took to social media to share pictures of his newborn.

In the each pic, Coleen and Wayne look as happy as ever, beaming into their new son's eyes.

It seems to be baby overload at the moment, with Louis Tomlinson sharing the first picture of his son, and Tyra Banks announcing that she has welcomed a new baby boy, York, too.

Netflix has come up with some BRILLIANT TV shows over the past few years, but House of Cards is one of those that just sucks us in every damn time.

The hotly awaited fourth season is on the way to us very soon which is getting us excited to what dirty work is coming up next.

Kevin Spacey playing Frank Underwood is one of those characters we love and hate, and he's obviously going to come back with a bang since he's seen in the trailer digging something up in the ground – well he's not the one digging, obvz, instead Doug is doing all the suspicious work like we'd expect.

We'll admit that this trailer is a bit on the short side but with the show coming to us this March, we're already getting ready for some binge-watching.

Sh*t got real last night you guys.

The skies darkened, social media erupted into chaos and all general hell broke loose as Kanye unleashed the full force of his Twitter wrath upon a rather unsuspecting Wiz Khalifa.

Poor Wiz, whom we imagine watched the whole thing unfold like this.

There was jibes thrown at innocent children, general angry nonsense, the usual inflated egomaniacal madness and even a few fashion related low-blows.

But if you thought this was the first time Kanye has let his feelings be known, then you would be sorely mistaken my friends.

Behold SHEmazing!'s definitive list of Kanye's most explosive and ridiculous social media rampages, ranked from excellent to bloomin' brillant:

5) Kanye gets mad at internet trolls

Kanye was not impressed after the video for his song Black Skinhead was leaked online.

While the trolls responsible got a few harsh words, we don't reckon we saw the full extent of Kanye's fury in this particular rant.

Kanye ferocity metre:

4) Kanye gets mad at in-app purchases

Kanye wants his two-year-old to be able to play on their smartphone WITHOUT INTERRUPTION.

Let babies play with their mobile devices in peace y'all.

Kanye ferocity metre:

3) Kanye gets mad at general fashion

Kanye was just out cruisin' one day but decided to destroy the internet with a run-down of his fashion pet hates.

Safe to say, the entire face of the the fashion industry was irrevocably altered.

Kanye ferocity metre:

2) Kanye gets mad at Jimmy Kimmel

Note to TV presenters of the world, doing a Kanye spoof is not advisable.

Take this Jimmy Kimmel rampage as evidence.

Kanye ferocity metre:

1) Kanye gets really mad at Wiz Khalifa

Wiz Khalifa fell victim to thirty plus tweets after unwisely criticising Kanye's latest album name and for purportedly using Kim Kardashian's initials in a tweet (he was actually referencing a strain of weed called KK, duh).

Still, that did not stop Kanye unleashing the most epicly epic Twitter rants of perhaps all time.

The world is still recovering.

He broke many hearts when he decided to leave One Direction, but now Zayn Malik has opened up about what he really thought of the five-piece band.

The 23-year-old spoke quite candidly to Zane Lowe for Apple Music's Beats 1Radio, saying he "never wanted to be in the band."

Leaving fans hopeless, Mr Malik continued on to reveal that he knew it wasn't the right place for him after just "one year."

He told Zane: "I just gave it a go because it was there at the time. I think I kinda always wanted to go. From the first year, I never really wanted to be there in the band.

"When I realised the direction that we were going in, mind the pun, with the music, I instantly realised it wasn't for me. How do you write a song from five people's perspective?"

He went on to say that the music they were making didn't suit him at all, and even though Harry, Laim, Louis and Niall knew this, they didn't want him to go.

"I think the boys knew that in terms of the music, that wasn't my cup of tea. When I was leaving the band, they didn't want me to leave. But I'd already made up my mind at that point."

Zayn's first solo single, Pillowtalk, is debuting this Friday which will see an interesting shift in pattern since the 1D lads have began their hiatus.

Irish fast food chain Supermac's has lost its fight with McDonald's… but to be honest, we kinda saw that coming.

McDonald's operates just about 34,000 restaurants around the world, so it's no surprise it beat Supermac's in a recent trademark claim.

Supermac's was bidding for a European trademark, but lost out when the American company filed a 41-page complaint to the EU's Office for Harmonisation in the Internal Market (OHIM).

In its decision, OHIM held up Maccy D's claim, rejecting Supermac's application because there's too many food items and branding that are similar.

McDonald's claimed that there was a "likelihood of confusion" if Supermac's was trademarked in Europe as they have a McFish, McToast, McCountry and other variations of "Mc" on its menu.

The inquest also found that both fast food chains had identical milk, meat and a "high degree" of similar seasonings.

“To the extent that both marks contain the element ‘MAC’, which may be perceived as a name or a nickname, the marks are conceptually similar. Furthermore, to the extent that both marks may be perceived as containing references to great or considerable size, they are also conceptually similar in that they refer to quantitative indicators," it was said.

“Taking into account the above mentioned visual, aural and conceptual coincidences, the signs under comparison are similar.”

But, speaking to Newstalk Breakfast, Pat McDonagh, managing director of Supermac's said that "the battle is not over" and he will not stop fighting to open the Irish chain in Europe.

Chanel debuted it's SS 16 Haute Couture collection in Paris earlier this week and it involved Star Wars galactic style ensembles, intense liquid liner and one adorable front row pooch.

While Cara Delevingne's doggy was everything (literally everything), the beauty talking point of the show was most definitely the accurately named 'croissant bun' which was sported by all the models in the show including Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner.

A cross between Princess Leia quirkiness and up-do chic, this hairstyle is unique, wearable and most importantly easy to achieve.

As coined by top hair stylist Sam McKnight who would not stop tweeting about his '#chanelcroissant', the look was achieved using foam wires twisted into the desired pastry-inspired shape.

"The inspiration was a Picasso sculpture which Karl showed me, with shaped hair in the back," Sam explained to Vogue.

"My team spent three days making 80 large croissant shapes from wired foam covered in human hair, to match the hair colour of each model. We then spent two days at Chanel before the show, fitting the pieces on each of the 65 models."

While croissant shaped foam buns do not seem to be readily available in shops just yet, we reckon a pretty similar look can be achieved using a DIY rolled up sock! (Bear with us).

Make like most of the internet and instead of rolling the sock into a donut shape like so many before us, roll it up so that it is thicker in the middle and skinnier at the ends. Secure the shape with elastic bands.

Next, part the hair down the middle and pull straight hair into a low pony-tail. Then add your croissant shaped bun to the nape of the neck and roll the hair in the ponytail around it. Secure with bobby pins.

We will most definitely be giving this elegant, edgy look a whirl.
