A nurse working at Our Lady's Children's Hospital in Crumlin lay dead for two days in a room used by parents. 

Efforts were made to resuscitate her, but sadly she was pronounced dead at the scene.

A garda investigation is now underway following the shocking discovery on Tuesday morning, however, the Irish Independent reports that the death is being treated as a tragedy. 

It is also being reported that the woman turned up for work as normal on Sunday.

The room where she was found can be used by parents whose children are receiving treatment at the Dublin hospital. 

A Crumlin spokeswoman told the Irish Independent: "Our thoughts, prayers and deepest condolences go out to the staff member's family and friends and colleagues here at Our Ladys's Hospital.

"The hospital will be making no further comment as it is the subject of a garda investigation."

As kids, many days were spent in front of the TV watching Neil Buchanan create HUGE works of art.

He made horses from salt, dolphins from clothes and even the queen's face from money – it was unbelievable.

But these days, even though he's still being creative, he's taken on a very different job. He's in a heavy metal band.

Yep, Neil is now enjoying life as a guitarist in a band called Marseille.

In fact, he was actually in the band way before Art Attack ever started, with the band forming in 1976.

He left in the 80s but joined back in 2008 and has been gigging around the UK ever since.

It's been six whole years since our last dose of Sex and the City goodness, so you can imagine our excitement upon hearing that actress Kim Cattrall (aka Ms Samantha Jones) really wants Sex and the City 3 to happen. 

In an interview with the Express – which was published yesterday – Kim revealed that all involved would love for a third SATC movie to become a reality.

The 59-year-old star said: "Of course there should be a third film! I think we would all love it. I mean, what would the story be?" 

And when asked if she feared the film would flop, Kim gave the perfect SATC-inspired response:  "To quote Samantha Jones ''If I worried about what every b***h said about me I wouldn't leave the house!'"

Kim – who is currently in Edinburgh at the city's Film Festival – then explained why she thinks there's more to her alter-ego Samantha than meets the eye.

She said: "When she is showing off and doing her business and amusing and entertaining everyone, underneath it is fear that she'll be alone and you start to understand that part of when you do that."

According to Kim, it's the relatable nature of the programme's characters which made the show such a success: "That's the relation and I think that the beauty of the show is that those four characters really, I feel, represented one complete woman. Different sides, different moods, different parts of being feminine."

"You can have those moments of any one of those characters and understand them in a more complete way."

Since the last hint of Sex and the City 3 fell through, we're going to wait with everything crossed in the hope that this dream will become a reality.

We've never thought of beards as anything other than a very welcome addition to a man's face, but it looks like they can do much more than add a level of charm to a bloke's appearance.

They can, in fact, help raise awareness of a matter close to the heart of millions of Irish people – mental health and suicide prevention.

While these issues have affected Irish families for generations, it’s only in recent years that we’ve actively tried to remove the stigma attached to these matter.

And with high-profile figures sharing their own experience of mental illness and members of the public campaigning for increased support, it’s heartening to know that none of us are fighting the battle alone.

Having been dealt a devastating blow after losing his father to suicide last year, Gary O’Dowd from Co. Kerry decided to turn a negative into a positive by embarking on a personal journey which will ultimately help families in a similar position to his own.

As part of The Bearded Man’s Battle for Suicide Prevention, Gary has been growing a beard for a year in order to raise money for two charities – Console and Kerry LifeLine – who were a huge support to the O’Dowd family in the aftermath of their father’s passing.

On July 16th, Gary will take part in a Shave or Grow event in Jack Duggan’s Bar, Castlemaine, Co. Kerry where the public will decide whether Gary will ditch the beard or keep it for another year.

If the beard growing is a go’er, Gary will shave his head alongside other brave members of the public who want to get involved in this incredible cause.

So far, the Bearded Man campaign has raised over €700, but they need your help showing people that it’s OK not to be OK.

Since Charlotte Crosby quit the Geordie Shore house, she has been adamant that she will never, ever return.

And not only does she want to leave the reality series behind forever, she wants her fans to do so as well.

In a recent interview with Daily Mail Australia, the blonde beauty said: "People will still watch it without me, they won't just stop – but I hope they do. I hope everyone stops watching it.

"It's a definite no. It's over now. I've left. I can't just go back willy-nilly," she said.

However, her tune changed when when her former flame Gary Beadle was mentioned.

When asked if she would go back on the show if her relationship with Gaz was still going strong, Charlotte gave a very enthusiastic, "yes."

She then said that she'd never rule out an appearance for a tenth anniversary special – if it ever happens.

So you never know, we might see her back someday in the future!

Congratulations are in order for Gogglebox star George Gilbey – he has just welcomed a baby girl into the world with his girlfriend, Gemma.

George took to Twitter to announce the news this morning.

He wrote: "7lb 2oz little girl. Born 17.16. Amelie Iris Gilbey x.

And then added, "Big thanks to everyone (especially nannies) for your support #perfect."

His Gogglebox fans were quick to congratulate him with one saying, "Congrats mate, all the very best #nowtheworkbegins #got2myself."

And another Twitter user wrote, "Parenthood is the best job in the world! Enjoy every second."

We hope the new family is happy and healthy.

The Hadids may be one of the most notable families in Hollywood, but that doesn't mean they're without their struggles.

Model Bella took to Instagram on Tuesday to share an emotional post with her followers which describes both her own and her mother's battles with Lyme disease.

Celebrating the release of her mother Yolanda's new book Believe Me – which documents her experience with the debilitating condition – Bella wrote: "This book marks such an incredible day for you."

"I have seen you in bed, struggling for the past five years of our lives, thinking to myself 'Why would this happen to such an angel?'"

"I would cry to myself knowing that there was nothing I could do to help and that there were people going against you and what you are/were going through,"she wrote in the post which has been liked more than 60,000 times since its upload.

"Incidents where you would be so sick, not being able to move your bones/body, and I would have to drive you to the hospital at 3am so I could see you get a shot of something."

"You have been in more doctors labs and testing rooms every SINGLE day, then I have ever seen in my life…To find a CURE for people around the world."

Bella then went on to explain how the illness – which is caused by a bacterial infection carried by ticks – has affected her own life and even prevented her from potentially competing in the Olympics.

As celebrity couples go, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are definitely up there when it comes to major relationship goals.

Having met on the set of Green Lantern, the pair hit it off, tied the knot in 2012 and are now expecting their second child, and it sounds like Blake knows exactly why their marriage will work in an industry known for its shotgun weddings and whirlwind divorces.

Speaking to Marie Claire, the 28-year-old former Gossip Girl actress explained that she knew she wanted to marry Ryan when she realised he was the greatest friend she'd ever had.

"I knew he would always be my best friend for my whole life," she said in the interview which will be featured in the June edition of the magazine. "That was the biggest thing to me."

"I'd never known anything like the friendship that I had with him. I could like him as much as I loved him," she said of the actor who was once engaged to Alanis Morissette before tying the knot and eventually divorcing Scarlett Johansson.

Frankly, we'd marry him for his hilarious tweets alone.

We all know Professor Green has had a rough couple of weeks.

He ended his marriage to Millie Mackintosh last month, who has now reunited with her Made In Chelsea ex, Hugo Taylor.

But now, the rapper has his fans in uproar over a photo he posted of himself in hospital.

In an Instagram post, Pro Green explained that he went to A&E after being in pain for 6 hours straight.

He added that the doctors had to rule out a "strangulated hernia," which meant he had to stay in the hospital all night.

"Been in A & E all night ruling out a strangulated hernia. Nearing 6 hrs since the pain/discomfort started – think if it was I'd be dead already. Only plus is cute staff."

Fans then rushed to the star's social media accounts to wish him good health:

By this stage, we've all heard of the adorable gran who totally charmed the internet this week.

Proving good manners never costs anything, one young man's Nan made sure to say please and thank you to Mr. Google when doing a little research online.

And when Twitter user, Ben John, happened upon his 85-year-old grandmother's adorable internet search, he did what any upstanding millennial would do – he shared it online.

"Omg opened my Nan's laptop and when she's googled something she's put 'please' and 'thank you'. I can't" he tweeted alongside a photo of his Nan's attempt to chat with the search engine.

The post tugged on the heartstrings of internet users who shared it far and wide before it ultimately got the attention of Google itself.

Responding to the tweet from their UK headquarters, Google wrote: "Dearest Ben's Nan. Hope you're well. In a world of billions of Searches, yours made us smile. Oh, and it's 1998. Thank YOU."

Honestly, we were shocked when we saw the pictures of Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston kissing this morning.

Where the hell did that come from?! What about Calvin?!

Well, it seems that it's all about to kick off now as Mr Harris just predicted on Twitter.

Just after the pictures of Taylor and Tom broke, the DJ unfollowed Tay from all social media, blocked her fans and then deleted his break-up tweet.

But that's not all. He then tweeted: "Oh boy it's about to go down," along with three skull face emojis. Ouch!

Are we going to see a big celeb showdown? Or is it going to be all shady and sly digs at each other? We'll just have to wait and see.

However, now it seems that Tay's latest romance was sorta inevitable.

Shortly after Taylor and Tom were seen dancing together at the Met Gala, Tom did an interview with MTV for his new movie – and he gushed about her.

When asked what it was like dancing with the Shake It Off singer, he said: "I sat next to her at dinner that night and she was very charming.

"She is amazing. I mean, I've seen a couple of her, like, videos.

"I think I remember Shake It Off was released around the time we made I Saw the Light, and, erm, she's very cool. Yeah."

Taylor has now removed all trace of Calvin from her social media feeds, so it looks like the split wasn't as simple as they first said it was.

Now, we all know that no matter what, all proposals are special and unique in their own way – but you need to see what this guy got up to.

Advertising agent Jason Shoffman really went out of his way to surprise his bride-to-be recently.

His girlfriend, Simone, is a major Disney fan and in Jason's Youtube video, he explains that whenever she's sad she'll watch a Disney to cheer herself up.

Well, one day Jason decided to bring his girlfriend to a Disney art exhibition, yet what she didn't know was that it turned out to be an exhibition of their life together.

Taking inspiration from different movies, Jason depicted different moments of their time together and made them into cartoon version.

He was even super careful and put dates on each picture, as if they were a movie poster.

The prints were full of personal detail, and instead of writing Walt Disney on the top, he combined both of their last names and wrote, "Goffy," instead.

We really can't get enough of this.
